TOO MANY BEDS
ROSE
Son of a bitch, this wasn't supposed to happen. This was supposed to be the moment I was finally able to get Dimitri alone. We haven't been able to find the time to be together since the attack. We made it out alive and pledged to not let anything come between us, life was too short. But it had been nothing but chaos since then and we haven't had a chance to do it again. I've been waiting to jump his bones since he crawled out of that cave. I thought I had lost him and I don't ever want to feel that way again.
"So Guardian Croft has set up bunks in the gym for tonight. It's just temporary till we get things figured out." Alberta had told us when we arrived at court. The academy had closed for the rest of the year and they were dividing us Damphirs up and sending us to other academies to finish the year. I was hoping and praying I would be sent to St Basils in Russia.
DIMITRI
I was so hoping that with little room for the novices here at court that Rose could stay with me. I was staying in Guardian housing while we were here. It was such a short notice and the Moiri were in a panic so there wasn't much space left for the influx of all the novices from the academy. I was planning on going back to Russia and St Basils to teach. I pleaded for Rose to be able to come to Russia as well so we could continue our mentorship. Alberta reluctantly allowed it, but said we need to keep it professional while there. She knew about the two of us, I don't know how more people didn't catch on after the way she acted after the cave. Maybe they did and just didn't care since our lives are so short.
I was trying to figure out how to get Rose alone. We haven't been able to really see each other since the attack. All the novices were going to be staying in one of the Damphir gyms. There was no way I could get in there to even talk to her without raising suspicion. Right now we were all in the cafeteria eating before everyone went their separate ways for the night.
"Comrade, I'm headed to the bathroom." Rose whispered to me as she walked by. As she was walking away she turned around and winked at me. Message received. I acted like I was going to the restroom myself and saw her in the hallway.
"Took you long enough." She grabbed me and pulled me into a storage closet and shut and locked the door.
