I don't own The Loud House

The Beginning Chapter 1

On a typical day at the Loud House, Lori was engrossed in a phone conversation with a friend, while Leni was immersed in crafting a new clothing design. Luna was busy composing new music to share with the world, and Luan was devising a fresh joke to delight her family. Outside, Lynn Jr. was energetically throwing and catching her football, whereas Lucy was secluded in the vent, penning her latest poem. In the room she shared with her twin, Lana was feeding her pet, and Lola was hosting a tea party for her stuffed animals. Meanwhile, Lisa was engrossed in a new experiment, and Lily was contentedly playing with her toy blocks. Amidst this bustling household, there stood one sibling who was unlike the others: the middle child with white hair, always ready to lend a hand and known for his resourcefulness—his name was Lincoln Loud.

Lincoln was in his room, deeply engrossed in the video game Dino Might. "Come on, T-Rex, take that Spinosaurus down!" he cheered, playing his favorite game. With a few strategic button presses, the T-Rex defeated the Spinosaurus, causing Lincoln to leap up in excitement. "Yes, I finally beat him!" he exclaimed. Glancing at his game, Lincoln saw that he had unlocked Spinosaurus, adding it to his collection. He scrolled down and reviewed all the dinosaurs he had conquered and acquired. "Let's see how many dinosaurs I've got in battle," Lincoln mused, eyeing his game screen. "Okay, we've got Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Ankylosaurus, Spinosaurus, Pterodactyl, Saber-Toothed Tiger, Smilodon, Triceratops, and Pachycephalosaurus."

"I've collected all 10 dinosaurs, thanks to my buddy Tyrannosaurus Rex," Lincoln exclaims as he spots something new on his screen. He checks again and discovers a Mosasaurus and a Plesiosaurus, which brings a smile to his face as he declares, "You're going down!" Meanwhile, back in Lori and Leni's room, Lori is initiating a sibling meeting with all the Loud sisters present. "Okay, this sibling meeting can now begin," Lori announces, punctuating her statement by slamming her shoes down. "Everyone, Lisa has something important to share with us, so let's give her our attention," Lori continues, gesturing for Lisa to come forward.

Dear sibling, during a video call, my scientist friend informed me of a meteor shower occurring tonight at 9 PM, a rare event that won't repeat for another 13 years, leaving the Loud sisters in awe. "I haven't witnessed a meteor shower since I was three," Lori remarked. Luna, nodding, added, "It'll be fantastic; it might even inspire a new song." Lana smiled, "Oh, it'll be cool to see it," and Lola, sharing her twin's smile, agreed, "I've heard it's beautiful." Luan, with a chuckle, said, "I can't wait for the 'main' shower—get it?" which elicited groans from everyone. Lynn Jr. expressed her excitement too. Lori then rallied the group, "Okay, I think we have our plan for tonight. Who's in for the meteor show?" This was met with enthusiastic agreement from all but one; the sisters turned to Lincoln, who was engrossed in his game. "Lincoln, did you hear?" Lynn Jr. asked, but he was too absorbed. It took Lori's loud call, "Hello, Lincoln!" to capture his attention, and he finally looked up to see Lori and all his sisters eagerly awaiting his response.

"Sorry, guys," Lincoln said with a smile, rubbing his head. "That was a while ago when we played that silly superhero game." Lynn Jr. mentioned it, which seemed to annoy Lincoln a bit. "No, it's called Ace Savvy. And actually, I was playing a new game called Dino Might," Lincoln clarified. "A dinosaur game? What's it about?" Lana and Lola asked in unison, both fans of dinosaurs. "You get to play as different dinosaurs, battle them, and then collect and play as them," Lincoln explained. This piqued the interest of the Loud sisters. "So, how many dinosaurs have you collected, Lincoln?" Lola inquired. "I've got 11 dinosaurs," he replied. "I'm not usually into video games, but what kinds of dinosaurs do you have?" Lisa asked, intrigued. "Oh, you want to hear?" Lincoln responded, seeing his ten sisters nod eagerly. "Okay, I've got a Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Ankylosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Spinosaurus, Pterodactyl, Saber-Toothed Tiger, Smilodon, Triceratops, and Pachycephalosaurus."

"Luna, that rockin' dude," Lincoln begins, prompting Luna to look his way. "Cool," Lincoln remarks, causing Luna to shake her head and retort, "Yeah, dude, plus you've got my favorite dinosaur, the Parasaurolophus." Lincoln, surprised, responds, "Parasaurolophus is your favorite?" "It makes a beautiful sound," Luna affirms to her younger brother. Impressed, Lincoln asks his other sisters, "Do you all have a favorite dinosaur?" They nod in agreement. "Brachiosaurus is my favorite; it's the first dinosaur I learned about as a child, and I remember this cartoon movie about it," Lori shares. "I adore the Stegosaurus; its spikes are so cute," Leni chimes in. "I'm all about the Ankylosaurus; its tail can swing—get it?" Luan jokes, eliciting groans from the others. "Well, those dinosaurs are okay, but the most powerful and my favorite is the Spinosaurus," Lynn Jr. declares. Lucy signs, "My favorite is the Pterodactyl; it's faster than shadows." "The Saber-toothed tiger is my pick; it's the fastest," Lana states. "And I choose the Smilodon; it's the strongest," Lola adds. "Well, if my siblings are curious about my favorite Jurassic dinosaur, I'd say the Triceratops is the best," Lincoln concludes. He then turns to Lily, playing with a dinosaur doll, and guesses, "I think her favorite dinosaur must be the Pachycephalosaurus."

"How can you tell, Lori?" she asks, looking puzzled at how her brother seems to know. Lincoln points as she clutches a Pachycephalosaurus doll. "Po Po, Lily," she says, holding the dinosaur toy. "So, Stinky, your favorite dinosaur is the Tyrannosaurus Rex?" Lynn Jr. inquires. "Well, yes, it's my favorite," Lincoln admits. "I want to see dinosaurs," Lana exclaims. "Too bad they're all extinct," Lola remarks to her twin. "Extinct? Ew, gross, they need a long shower," Leni comments, causing everyone to facepalm. "No, Leni, 'extinct' means they died a long time ago," Lincoln explains. "That's right, my male sibling; they went extinct over 66 million years ago," Lisa adds. Sighing, one of them wishes aloud, "I wish we could see real dinosaurs; I want to know what they looked like and sounded like." "It would be great to see them," Lori agrees. "So, Lincoln, are you in to watch the meteor shower?" After a pause, Lincoln responds, "There's a meteor shower? What time does it start?" "It starts at 9 PM," Lori informs. Lincoln glances at his watch, sees it's 8:15 PM, and his eyes widen in surprise.

"It's 8:15 PM," Lincoln announced to his sisters. "We need to hurry if we want to make it on time." "Alright, everyone, we're leaving in five minutes; this sibling meeting is adjourned," Lori declared, slamming her shoes on the floor, prompting everyone to exit her room. Lincoln hurried to his room to put away his game, but something on his screen caught his eye. "Hmm, what's this?" he muttered, noticing he had received a reward. "I won something! Let's see what it is." He examined the screen and discovered he had earned two new dinosaur eggs. "No way, I got two new dinosaur eggs? Yes!" He eagerly checked the eggs and saw that one was ready to hatch, while the other had a timer set for 12 days. "Dang it, I have to wait 12 days until it hatches," Lincoln sighed loudly. "But it's not the worst thing; at least I didn't lose the two new dinosaur eggs." Before Lincoln could further investigate, he heard his sister Lynn Jr. calling out to him, "Yo, Stink, hurry up!" Startled, Lincoln jumped up and dashed out the door, leaving his game on the bed. He rushed from his room into the family van, and with that, the loud family departed to watch the meteor shower, unaware that their lives were about to change forever.

Around 9 p.m., the Loud siblings were gathered on the hill, seated and ready to witness the spectacular meteor shower. Lori was busy on her phone, updating her Facebook status. Leni, holding Lily, was making silly faces to entertain her. Luna had her notebook open, poised to compose a new song inspired by the meteor shower. Luan was jotting down jokes in her notebook, hoping to elicit laughter from her family this time. Lucy was immersed in her poetry book, crafting verses about the meteors in her uniquely eerie style. Lynn Jr. was brimming with excitement at the prospect of the meteor display. Lana and Lola sat side by side, their eyes wide with wonder as they watched the shower. Meanwhile, Lisa was meticulously recording every moment of the event.

Lincoln sat down, gazing at the sky, when he noticed something stirring in the heavens. "Hey, guys, it's starting!" Lincoln exclaimed, capturing everyone's attention. As they all looked up, they realized it was indeed beginning. The loudest of the siblings watched in amazement as the meteor shower commenced.

"It's so beautiful," Lori exclaims, capturing the moment on her phone, while Leni follows suit. "That's rocket fuel for my next song," Luna muses, jotting down her new idea. Luan, ever the comedian, decides to share her latest joke: "Why do meteors love to shower? Because they want to shine bright!" This time, everyone bursts into laughter, bringing a smile to her face. Lynn Jr. begins to tally each meteor streaking across the sky, while Lucy pens a poem about the celestial event. Lana and Lola gaze in wonder at the spectacle. Lisa, typically reserved, records everything with a rare smile. "I don't usually show human emotion, but yeah, I'm happy," Lisa admits.

The loud sibling was searching for amazement, and Lincoln was just the person to find it. He gazed in awe at the meteor, a sight he hadn't seen in ages. "It's so beautiful; nothing could be worse," Lincoln remarked, noticing a colorful light to his right. Turning around, he saw a vibrant meteor. "Oh, that looks fantastic," he said until he realized it was growing larger and larger, and his expression turned to worry. "Oh no," Lincoln exclaimed, causing his sisters to look at what he was staring at — the meteor, now looming larger and starting to glow in an array of colors.

"We need to go," Luna exclaimed, prompting her siblings to scream in agreement. But before they could flee, they found themselves paralyzed, unable to move despite feeling their bodies trying. "Why can't I move?" Luna struggled to articulate, attempting to move her leg. "What's literally happening?" Lori questioned, not understanding. "Guys, I can't move; what's happening?" Leni voiced, fear creeping into her tone. "I know I'm strong, but why can't I move away from this?" Lynn grunted, trying to shift her body away from the looming meteor. "Is this the end?" Lucy murmured, feeling genuine fear for the first time. "Po Po," Lily whimpered, starting to cry. "Lana, I'm scared," Lola said, tears welling up. "Me too, Lola, I'm just as scared," Lana replied, tears streaming down her face like her twin's. "I would make a joke, but this is no laughing matter—ha-ha, get it? But there's no time for jokes," Luan interjected. "I have no idea what's happening to us," Lisa admitted. "What's going on?" Lincoln wondered aloud as he saw the meteor drawing nearer. Then, the Loud siblings let out a collective scream as the meteor struck, a booming explosion lighting up everything, and a roar echoed through the blast. Lincoln awoke with a start, finding himself in a hospital bed.
