My name is Daisuke Kambe and I am the head of the Kambe Group, as well as an inspector detective for the Metropolitan Police Department in the Modern Crimes Prevention Task-force in Tokyo, Japan. Not too long ago, I helped uncover the person behind my mother's murder. My detective partner, Haru Katou, inadvertently also helped me expose the existence of Adollium at the same time, which changed everything.
With the exposure of Adollium, a key factor in my mother's murder, the Kambe Group underwent extensive investigation for illicit activity, prompting me to temporarily move out of Japan and to the United Kingdom. There, Katou helped me in uncovering black market dealings involving Adollium, which can be used as either a great power source or a weapon of mass destruction.
In the course of our continued investigation, Suzue, a relative of mine, discovered that my mother, Sayuri Kambe, had two siblings, a brother and a sister. Upon further investigation, it came to light that her brother, my uncle, was dead, but their younger sister still lived in the United States. Concerned about my well-being, and perhaps out of a sense of familial pride, Suzue and Katou both encouraged me to invite this unknown aunt to a memorial for my departed mother, unsure if she was aware of the circumstances surrounding her death. After much persuasion, including the need for closure from all parties, I made the arrangements. What happened as a result was something not even I could have predicted.
