Hello everyone! Bluestar here with a brand-new project! It has been a while since I've started a new story, but this was one I've wanted to start for quite a while and also, this is my second SYOC story ever! But this surely doesn't mean that I'll abandon Fate/Twin Roses, my other SYOC story, I'll do my best to work both on this and that story throughout this year (and I was thinking of coming back to my Digimon Adventure 04 story as well!), I'm willing to be quite productive this year! But for now, let's talk about this new project!

At the end of 2021, I've finally started Fairy Tail. It was something I've wanted to do for some time, but the length of the anime and my attention disturbs didn't make me do it earlier. Then, I've finally started by reading the manga, and throughout time, I was able to get back on both the original series and all the possible spin-offs I could see. Needless to say, I've really enjoyed it! Sure, it has flaws, but it's the type of story that I feel home with. And so, the thought of making a story about it immediately caught up my mind (Though for some reason, I've had the idea before starting Fairy Tail, but naturally I've looked at anything that I could see before starting this), and so here we are! And I've decided to make this story a SYOC as well, because apart from the success that was Fate/Twin Roses, the world of Fairy Tail is one of the most wonderful worlds you can build up a story with, and with the concept of the guilds, it would have been really fun to see what you guys could have come up with! I also could see that there are a lot of SYOC stories about this franchise to the point that it could be considered one of the most used manga/anime for SYOC stories alongside My Hero Academia! So, as you probably know, you'll send your OC, I'll choose the one I like more, and they'll be the main protagonists of the story! Before the rules of the characters and the sheet, as I always do in my stories, here are the premises for this story:

- This story takes place after the sequel, Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest. I know that it isn't done yet, but after reading it to the point they have reached, there hasn't been many huge plotwists or lore additions, and knowing how Mashima's writing works, I think everything will pretty much be the same. Of course, I might be wrong, and I won't hide the fact that I may have to retcon some things, but this is the good of writing Fanfictions, you can expand your mind in an already existing world. So yes, it takes place after the sequel and the year will be X794.

- The story does not take place in the same region of the Fairy Tail Guild, Fiore, but rather in the region of Caelum, a region of Earthland that hasn't been explored yet in the franchise. Still, this won't mean that you won't see all the faces you are used to love, in fact, even if they are not the protagonists, they'll still play a major role in the story! I've already started to prepare some story arcs for them.

- This story will mostly follow the original manga of Fairy Tail, so there won't be any references to the OVA or the anime filler arcs. (Daphne, Key of the Starry Sky and Eclipse Celestial Spirits). So if you feel that something's off because those arcs aren't mentioned, you know why. When it comes to Fairy Tail, I've read the manga because I've felt insecure about watching over 300 episodes, and as far as I know those arcs are considered to be non-canon. With this I don't intend to offend the people who watched the anime, it's just how I looked at the series. Still, there will be some references to the spin-offs (I state that I have not seen all of them) and the two movies! So have fun on spotting all references and cameos I might put!

- At some points, the tone of the story might change to something a bit darker and more violent, but the mood and the atmosphere will mostly remain the same, so you'll breathe a familiar air reading the story!

With this said, we can pass on the rules for the characters!

- As the title suggests, All of the OCs you'll make will be samurais. But this doesn't mean that you are forced to follow a specific model! You'll be free to build the character as you please, I don't want to force anything! But remember to add on even a little trait that resembles that of a samurai (like a dress or a gadget that they have). There will be an obligatory piece that resembles a samurai that you'll need to fill, but for the rest, you're free to make the OC you wish!

- No furries allowed. I know that it's something that may feel some of you sad, but I've never liked furry-like characters in anime. I know that in Fairy Tail there are some of them, like Toby, but it's not really of my liking. I hope you understand. If you still want to add some animal traits, you can make them have a magic that is bonded with animals or add just a trait like the ears or the personality that resembles that of an animal! But the full-furry character is not allowed.

- If you want to make a strong character, I'll accept it, but please, do not make them OP. Everyone has a weakness and that is the good part of making a character. So, please don't make characters that can beat every enemy they encounter. A strong character can be good, but as long as they have their limits.

- This is linked to the rule above, NO MARY SUES ALLOWED: Nobody is born perfect, and nobody can do anything in the world. Please add some flaws and fears that your character needs to overcome throughout the story. A character that is perfect and doesn't have problem in challenges is not fair, it's boring and it's a bit silly if you think of it. Flaws and fears are a vital part of what makes a character unique and more sympathetic, and it will be more fun to see how they overcome it! So please, add some of it.

- If you want to give your characters connections to the canon characters, you're free to do it, but only if they make sense. Even if it's a Fanfiction, like I did with the other ones (Except for Digimon Fused Adventure and Fate/Twin Roses) I'll try to make this story a plausible sequel, so if you want to make some connections, make them in a way that is plausible, like an old friend, a past rival or even someone who they rescued! Even a cousin is ok. And things like long lost brother/sister, Ex-boyfriend or so isn't allowed. Also, since it takes place not too long after 100 Years Quest, a child of two canon characters isn't allowed, also because they would have something like one-year old. My OC will have Dragneel as their last name, but in a way that makes kinda sense. You'll see why in the first chapter.

- This is not a first come, first served SYOC. I'll admit it, with Fate/Twin Roses, I've acted a bit hasty, and some things may not have turned as they should have been, even if the story turned out to be fine and appreciated, but this time I'd like to make things properly. I'll give a limit of time to send the OCs, I'll pick up the ones I've liked more and put them in the story, but it won't mean that those who haven't been selected will be ignored! If I still liked them, I may put them as members of another guild or as supporting characters! So don't feel sad!

- Like I said above, you have a month to send your OC. The SYOC deadline is 28/05/2023. That day, I'll make either an update on this "chapter" or make another when I show the complete list of the selected characters. Also, the story won't start until all characters are chosen.

Shogunate Pride will have a total of 14 characters, with one of them being the one I've made, so there will be 13 open slots for the OCs. Still, only one OC can be made for each user.

- Naturally, I won't accept OCs from reviews. If you want to present an OC, please DM me. You can put any object you want, but it's preferable to put [Shogunate Pride SYOC: *Name of the Character*]

- If you want to make love couple or romantic pairings all you need to do is ask! I may ask you the permission to do so sometimes. As a particular (and sometimes important) thing in a story, I may need your opinion and your permission to make love and romance in the story.

Weapon (Obligatory. Since Shogunate Pride is a guild of Samurais, it's expected for them to have a weapon. It doesn't have to necessarily be a katana; you are free to choose whenever weapon you like! If you want your character to fight with his hands, you can give them a knuckleduster or something similar!):
