"Yes, there is a Heaven. And there is a Hell. And oh, so many worlds above, below, and beyond. Worlds that the angels of Heaven and the demons of Hell would kill—and have killed, millions of times over—to master"
- Darksiders: The Grand Abomination Vault
As well as worlds that either Heaven or Hell would wage war over, there are also forces in the universe, or in a broader sense, Creation, that would make either faction think twice about trifling with. Forces that would make either faction want to either enlist or enslave for their own benefit.
The war between Heaven and Hell is an eternal one, and because of that, much that has existed in Creation had to pay the price. A prime example of this is the Third Kingdom, or in this case, Earth.
There are worlds and realms, however, that were and are fortunate enough to not have been touched by this stalemate. With that being said, that does not mean that those that live within them don't have their own struggles and hardships. That is an unfortunate truth of Creation. All that exists is destined to be marred.
One such realm has this fully understood this truth, and surprisingly enough, has its own humans. This realm is known is as Teyvat. One may wonder why The Creator would ever bother to create another world for humanity if he created Eden and the Third Kingdom for it. As the humans of the Earth once said, he works in mysterious ways. Ways that nobody, not the angels of Heaven, the demons of Hell, or even the Charred Council, would be able to fully understand.
Though it is vastly weak compared to other races in Creation, the race of man is integral to the balance. The universal balance.
Potential and evolution have been one of humanity's greatest assets. One that makes it quite unique from many, if not, all others, and there have certainly been exceptions among the race that have proven and justified this. While there are other assets, its definitely these 2 assets that causes it to be frowned upon the most. The realm of Teyvat is no different in this regard, for the humans there have shown their potential in spades. Unfortunately, the greatest among them, the nation of Khaenri'ah, was brought down by divine forces who did not take kindly to its progress. Despite this, the potential has not died out.
For those who have noticed, the 4 Horsemen have been entwined to humanity. For better or for worse. From the slaying of the Nephilem for humanity's sake to the Apocalypse supposedly brought on by War. It appears that once again, this fate or entwinement has come to pass. In more ways than one.
The leader and eldest of the 4 Riders, Death, set out to return humanity to the Earth in order to save his brother War from the Charred Council's judgment for dooming both mankind and the Third Kingdom, if the claims are true. On his journey, he will come upon a realm that is both similar to the Third Kingdom and yet at the same time, different. What he does not know, however, is that one of his Horseman brethren have came to the realm before. Which of the Horseman is it you may ask? That will not be revealed. Yet.
Author's Note:
I am going to be honest. I have never played either Darksiders or Genshin Impact. I have, however, done research and watch the games' cutscenes akin to that a movie. While I do like playing games, I also like the story and lore of a game. Additionally, the way I formatted the disclaimer was due to me being inspired by The Omega In Teyvat. Shoutout to SocialistBukharin. His story inspired me to create this one XD
