From Season 1, Episode 3
Upbeat music plays to a montage of video clips of plants or animals doing something unexpected, electric sparks, chemical reactions mixed with machinery working, and a scale model of a rocket taking off. Then a white screen with yellow and black striped letters says DANGER ZONE!
"Hi everyone! It's me again, Justinius Danger, prepared to take you on another fun-filled excursion into the DANGER ZONE!" The host announced while straightening his lab coat.
"We're going to expand on our last excursion! Today we will talk about some of the organizations both great and terrible that utilize the services of supers both hero and villain.
"First, most of you have likely not heard much about the Aeon Society. Founded by Some of the first Talents notably those who survived the Hammersmith experiment. Maxwell Mercer, Whitley Styles, and Micheal Donighal. Since its founding in 1923, the Aeon Society has done its best to harness the skills of those blessed with Telluric spectrum talent. Mentoring those people for the benefit of mankind via exploration, philanthropy, and research."
The kid scientist pulls a framed photograph from under the table and stands it up. "Here is something of a blast from the past. This is the last picture of the group before the outbreak of the Second World War. Aeon took a vote and didn't participate as a group in the war other than in humanitarian efforts. There was no block to individuals volunteering to help their nations."
The camera zooms in "Notice this handsome young man? That's right it's Corporal Danger! My ancestor without whom there would have been no Captain Danger to bring me into the world. But, he's not the only one that is special there. Here is Colonel Wiliam Darling and his newly married bride Cathrine Katz AKA the mysterious Mistress. Personally, I think mom looks a good bit like Cathrine don't you?
The camera pans out to the desk again and a screen within a screen appears showing films related to what was being presented. "Aeon helped found several organizations that still help the world organizations like…the Neptune Foundation - Based in Belize, they focus on medical aid and disaster relief and building infrastructure in places that lack it There's also the Triton Foundation. Based out of Boston, Triton does research into medicine and cures for illnesses as well as any biological basis for talents or nowadays super powers.
"But, perhaps most notably, it founded the organization that became bigger and more well-known than Aeon by far: Project Utopia. Founded to address the challenges of the Nova age. Understanding the power and abilities of the new Quantum empowered humans was a different challenge. Utopia was made to focus on this. while Aeon continued a broader effort to understand and support the Telluric empowered people in general.
"Project Utopia has grown beyond anyone's wildest dreams. It's cleaned up the air, improved the oceans, and made deserts into verdant gardens. They have been allowed to sit as advisors in the UN. They also make a fortune marketing clean fusion and advanced power storage technologies.
"Who can mention Project Utopia without mentioning their most visible public work? Its Team Tomorrow is now divided into four subgroups.
"Team Tomorrow Central out of Addis Abab Ethiopia hosts the most experienced heroes
"Team Tomorrow Americas is now out of Mexico City. A move that caused some here in the USA hurt feelings
"Team Tomorrow Europe out of Venice has a good working relationship with the EU.
"Team Tomorrow Asia/Pacific on Talaud Island has a lot of ground to cover.
"Team Tomorrow Academy was founded in 2027. It seeks to provide the groups with more recruits trained to do things the Team Tomorrow way."
"While not associated with Project Utopia or Aeon, the Daedalus League is a good group. They use the abilities of Quantum empowered members to bring humanity to the stars. They've already set a base up on the moon and are exploiting the untapped resources of the asteroid belt. With Daedalus helping, humanity is well on its way to being a multi-planet species.
"Last is a much smaller group started by one of our sponsors. Funded by Hightower Industries. A leader in using mundane science to bring the amazing miracles of Quantum-powered discovery to the hands of the everyday man.
"I mean of course the mighty the powerful... Titans! Led by Mateo Johnson AKA Atlas. As well as Rhea, Theia, Hyperion, Phoebe, Eurybia, and Astraeus.
"Less altruistic we have the DeVries Agency. They hire out agents they call Elites to work as mercenaries. Some of these are more heroic folks who need the coin and are selective about who they work with. Some are guns for hire who will take any job that pays.
"Then we have the 'might makes right' group: Terragen. Terragen believes that having superpowers makes them better than others. They feel they are not answerable to anyone else. That's silly. It's like saying the kid who can run fastest is better than the others so he doesn't have to take a math class. Being good at one thing doesn't mean you are a better person. It just means you have a talent so you should be a good sport not try to rub your talent in others' faces. Trying to get special treatment is being a brat.
"As bad as the Teragen are, acting like spoiled kids, there are those who are worse. Some have embraced the insult of being called an aberration. These Aberrants go beyond believing the laws should be bent or broken for them. They believe they can do anything they want. They try to take anything they please and never answer for it. These Aberrants have embraced being a monster in a way only the worst criminals and most fiendish governments have ever done.
"Just like those criminals and monsters of the past, however their day will come. When you go around acting like that no one wants to be your friend or ally and that is how you eventually end. Alone without friends, you're forced to stand alone against all those who care about the wrongs you worked. When we talk about evil, always at the heart is selfishness. The selfish will always lose friends as fast as they make enemies. So you see, evil always loses in the long run because being evil is stupid.
