Welcome back to A Song of Spiders and Dragons. Last time, Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man took down Shocker, again. But in the process, the trio learned he's working for the Demons. And in that moment, they realized MJ was right, something bigger is going on here. So, what comes next? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes outside the bank, where Shocker has been stripped of his gear and stuffed in a police car. Meanwhile, Cynder puts in a call to Yuri, to update her on the situation)

Cynder: Yuri, it's Cynder. Shocker's wrapped up.

Yuri: Good to know. He's got a special cell waiting for him at the Raft. We'll make sure he stays behind bars this time.

Spyro: (Joining the call) That's not all. Remember those masked guys from the auction house? The Demons? If Shocker's to be believed, he was working for them.

Yuri: This is really starting to sound like a Daily Bugle headline.

Spider-Man: Hey, the Bugle's a perfectly fine news organization.

Yuri: If you can call it news.

Spider-Man: Well, at least they've got some high integrity reporters. Anyways, have there been any more reports of these masked guys running around?

Yuri: I'll have to get back to you three on that. One more question, just how much damage did you do in there?

Spyro: Do you really want to know?

Yuri: Now that I've heard myself ask, probably not.

(And with that, Yuri hangs up)

Cynder: (Looking around) Okay, dealing with Shocker took way longer than anticipated. Better go out on patrol for a spell.

Spyro: (Checks his phone) Not quite yet, looks like Doc's calling. (Answers the phone with all three on the line) What's up, Doc?

Octavius: Good news. I may have been a bit hasty in recommending you three find a new job. I've got a plan. We may yet live to invent another day!

Cynder: Doc, you know it would be no burden on us to fund you through the Embassy.

Octavius: I appreciate that offer, I really do. And if this plan fails, it's my only recourse. But I'm confident in this one.

Spyro: Well, you know we're on standby.

Octavius: I can't wait to tell you more, just got to finalize some paperwork. Looking forward to telling you all about it!

(And with that, Doctor Octavius hangs up)

Spider-Man: Ah the indominable Otto Octavius. I really hope this plan works. He sounds so excited about it.

Cynder: That makes three of us.

Spider-Man: We'd best get to that patrol session.

Spyro: Agreed.

(And with that, the trio fly off to keep an eye on NYC. Fast forward about 30 minutes though, and Yuri calls back)

Yuri: Hey, I've been looking into reports of these "demons" you mentioned.

Spider-Man: I knew you'd come around, Yuri.

Yuri: Turns out this has been a pretty busy night for them, with all the Fisk properties they've been hitting.

Spyro: They're going after Fisk? Damn.

Cynder: Are you all thinking what I'm thinking?

Yuri: Gang war brewing?

Cynder: Exactly.

Spyro: We need to get on top of it then.

Spider-Man: Are there any Fisk properties they haven't hit tonight?

Yuri: From the looks of it, just one. A shipyard near Portside.

Spyro: We're on our way.

Cynder: Any idea what Fisk used that shipyard for?

Yuri: No idea.

Spyro: Something tells me we're just about to find out.

Yuri: And you won't be alone. I'm sending an officer to meet you there. Name's Jefferson Davis, Portside's his beat. One of the best cops on the force, he's been on the Fisk case for years. If anybody knows what Fisk is doing there, it'll be him.

Cynder: Wait, that's Jeff's beat?

Spider-Man: You guys know him?

Spyro: He was our inital NYPD contact! Man, I haven't seen him in years!

Cynder: Sounds like tonight's going to just get better!

Spider-Man: Well then, let's not keep your old friend waiting!

(And with that, the trio sling off towards the shipyard to rendezvous with an old friend as our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. So, Spyro and Cynder know Jefferson Davis? That's a twist, and if you know what happens later in the game, that should be very interesting indeed.
