The end of the Deathstorm saga. Will things go the same as canon? Wellllll…. you'll see.
Chapter 8
A little later that night, the team were working on the Mental Augmentation Chamber in the Speed lab as they had the news on in the background.
"C.C.P.D. has ordered a citywide curfew after the shocking massacre that happened earlier tonight. The mysterious assailant remains currently at large…" The anchorman reported.
Barry soon speeds into the lab after patrolling the city.
"No sign of Deathstorm anywhere." He told them. "How's it going here?"
"Good. The Mental Augmentation Chamber is just like I remembered, not that I could forget six weeks of living inside this thing." Chester replied.
"So, we're seriously gonna turn Frost into an Anti-Deathstorm?" Allegra asked.
"We know Deathstorm is made up of pure thermodynamic energy, so we use the M.A.C. To harness the particles from its home dimension and then beam them into your consciousness." Peter explained, especially to their volunteer, Frost.
"The reaction should transform Frost's body into a being like Deathstorm." Chester continued. "You'll be able to create fire, defy gravity-"
"And consume Deathstorm's fuel source." Barry continued. "Once you absorb all that "grief energy" out of Deathstorm-"
"I'll be able to snuff him out for good." Frost finished, being pretty familiar with the plan.
"Well, it's official, this is the craziest plan we've ever had." Allegra points out.
"Like Peter said earlier, let's get crazy, cause I'm not letting that Skeletor put another bony finger on my sister."
"A He-Man reference? I'm rubbing off on you." Peter chided.
"I like the Netflix cartoons. For some reason He-Man in the first one reminds me of you."
"I prefer the other one by Kevin Smith. For some reason He-Man and Teela's replacement actor next year remind me of Mon-El and Kara."
"Sarah Michelle Gellar leaves?! Who replaces her?"
"Melissa Benoist."
"I'm disappointed that Buffy is leaving. But you're right, Melissa Benoist also reminds me of Kara for some reason."
"Guys, as much as I like talking about He-Man (and I do), Peter, we should finish the M.A.C.'s cryo-circuits and then we should be good to go." Chester interrupted.
"Guys, I need you in the Med Lab. It's Caitlin." Caitlin told them over the coms.
Barry then speeds himself and Frost there. As Peter and Chester got back to work, Chester notices that Peter has a bit of a scowl on his face.
"You okay, man?" Chester asked.
"I feel like there's more we can do." Peter replied.
"Hey, it's gonna work."
"I don't doubt that. But I feel like we could do more. Like what if Ronnie's still alive, but suppressed and we'd risk killing him. Like we could use magic or something like that. If only the multiverse existed in this timeline, I could recruit people I know who are used to fighting demons."
"Well, hopefully that won't be necessary."
It turned out that when Deathstorm kidnapped Caitlin earlier, he dialed up the memory of her father, Thomas Snow, dying, so that the grief would continue to transform her into Deathstorm's bride. After a few minutes, Chester left to get more equipment from his lab, while Allegra was getting more coffee from the lounge. He then hears a familiar female voice call out to him.
"Dad! Dad!" The voice said.
He turns around to find the source, only to find nothing there. He soon realized that the voice was of Frankie. He wondered if it was Deathstorm messing with him, but he knew she was alive…both versions.
Unless something happened to either of them in the last few hours…God, forbid. He thought
He continues on the M.A.C. when the lights go off again as his senses go off softly.
"Peter." Said a familiar male voice to him.
He turns around to see his Ronnie.
"Guys, Deathstorm is here!" He tries to tell them over the coms, to no answer.
"I'm not Deathstorm. It's actually me, Ronnie." "Ronnie" told him.
"Bull shit, you're one of Deathstorm's ghosts, like you did with Chester's dad a few days ago. You're trying to make me feel grief so he can turn Caitlin into his bride. Well it's not gonna happen. To quote Optimus Prime, "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings," and Caitlin has the right to marry who she chooses and she doesn't want your boss."
"That's not true, it's me dude. I'm a ghost now. I'm what's left after you failed to stop Barry from traveling through time and being tricked by Thawne. Or did you want me out of the way? How long did you wait before you made your move on Caitlin? Did you think naming your son after me and her father would assuage your guilt?"
"Creating the singularity was Barry's mistake and he's paid for it dearly. I miss Ronnie (the real Robbie) all the time. I would have loved for him to still be alive. But it was Caitlin who turned down his second proposal and it was Caitlin who revealed her feelings to me first. Now, fuck off! I'm not gonna feel grief for him. Sure, I blame myself for everything that happened. For Ronnie. For Eddie...not anymore, since, you know, he's alive in my timeline. For Ben. Everyone. Even May in that other universe. I sometimes wonder if I were more proactive in trying to find her and Peter-1, would she be alive? But I can't think of what ifs, I've been to enough universe d to know of them, I've tried to move on (doubt Yoda would be pleased)."
"Ronnie" then looked like he was scanning Peter up and down. "I can't feed off you. You're a better man than Barry could ever be. But that's okay, I'll have grief from your new friends." He said before disappearing.
Soon, Frost walked into the Speed lab, followed closely by someone that Peter hadn't seen in weeks (fortunately, but now unfortunately), Mark Blaine. He stopped at the doorway as soon as he saw Peter. The animosity between the two men was palpable. If this was a "Kill Bill" movie, the screen would turn red and the Ironside siren would play.
"What is he doing here?" Peter asked Frost.
"I couldn't wait for you and Chester to make a cryo-circuit, so I had Mark get one." Frost replied.
"Look, I'm not exactly your biggest fan. My gut tells me there's something off about you. But I care for Frost and want to help her in stopping this Deathstorm guy and saving Caitlin." Mark stated.
Peter let out a sigh. "I think you're a creepy douchebag who's done super shitty things to Frost and doesn't deserve her love, let alone her forgiveness, but we could use the help, especially if Chester and Allegra are being visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past too." He replied bluntly.
Mark looks shocked by this. He hasn't been this insulted since Caitlin did at O'Shaughnessy's.
"Are you just gonna let him-" Mark started to ask Frost.
"Just put the damn circuit in!" She nearly yelled.
"Ok." He replied, surprised to hear Frost say that. So he went over to install it into the M.A.C.
"I take it you were visited by one of his phantoms too?" Frost asked Peter.
"Yeah, told him I wasn't food and made him go away." Peter bragged.
"Me too." She replied with a smile.
For a moment, Mark looked over his shoulder and saw the two looking at each other and the smile she gave him. He had made her smile plenty of times, but never like that. But pretty soon, he successfully installed the circuit and pressed the button on it to turn it on.
"All right, cryo-circuit is functional, ready to merge your cold fusion cells with Douche-Storm's dimensional particles." Mark explained to Frost..
""Douche-Storm." How hilarious." Peter replied sarcastically.
Frost then walked into the chamber.
"This has to work." She told them.
"Hey, master cryo-geneticist over here, not just a pretty face, trust me" Mark replies as he gets to the controls next to Peter.
"I've seen prettier." Peter replied. "But it will work, Frost. Because I don't know what we're going to do if it doesn't."
"Okay, cryo-circuit is alive."
"Activating augmentation receptors."
The M.A.C. begins to power up. The chamber starts to glow blue.
"Deploying dimensional particles." Mark states.
Frost is then covered in what looks like a thick gas, as it touches her, she bends down to the ground and screams in pain. Eventually the gas covers her and becomes the only thing visible inside the chamber. After a few seconds, the gas evaporates and Frost is already standing up right.
"Hey, are you okay? Did it work?" Mark asks as he jogs up to her.
"Are you Anti-Deathstorm?" Peter asked.
"Only one way to find out." She replies before trying to summon fire like Deathstorm, only to no avail. When she sees that nothing happened, she tries to summon it again, but still nothing.
"What's wrong?" Mark asked.
"I'm just me. No fire powers, no nothing. This stupid machine didn't work." She says, depressed and angry.
"Well, I mean, that doesn't make sense. It should work on anyone, any organism or sentient being with a consciousness."
"Or anyone who's truly alive. I guess we know what the issue is here then. It's me."
"Frost, how can you be the problem? I mean it doesn't make any sense." Peter replied.
"Well, is like what Mark just said, the reaction depends on the M.A.C. being able to put particles in someone's consciousness. What if that person doesn't have one?"
Mark scoffs. "What are you talking about? Of course you have a consciousness."
"Not according to Deathstorm. For my ghostly visit he came as himself as Ronnie's form and we had a little chat about why everyone on Team Flash got visited by a ghost except me. He said that I couldn't experience grief, because when Thomas created me, he just gave me a copy of all of Caity's emotions."
"And you believe him?" Peter asked. "Frost, he's bullshitting you! He knows you're his biggest threat, so he's making you doubt yourself. Maybe you have the power, but the doubt is stopping you from summoning it."
After a few seconds, she looks at Peter, and then to Mark. "Mark, could you wait out in the hall for a bit. Go to the lounge, perhaps."
"You want to be alone…with him?" Mark asked, a little puzzled by this request, especially since he hasn't seen her in roughly a week.
"Positive."
"Okay, but if I get a ghost visits or anything, I'm running back here, okay?"
"Okay."
He then starts to leave the room, even if hesitantly. "Okay, call me when I can come back in."
"Okay." She replies to him as he finally leaves. She then turns to Peter. "What's your earliest memory?"
"Of my life?" He asked, she nodded. "I remember my parents taking me to have a picnic in Central Park. Mom would teach me all the scientific names of all the plants. After that, we then went to the Museum of Natural History, looked at all the exhibits. I can't watch the "Night At the Museum" films without tearing up a bit. About a year ago, I took You, Caity, and the kids there."
"That sounds nice, Pete. Do you know what my earliest memory is?" She asks, he shakes his head no. "It's not of Carla singing me a lullaby or Thomas throwing me over his shoulders, it's of Caity being hit by a car. 'Cause that's the first time I woke up, to take the hit. And then, I just drifted back into her subconsciousness, locked away there for years, watching Caity live her life and have friends. And, you know, so when I finally started coming out more, I wanted to make up for lost time, you know, finally live a life. Maybe that's why I fell for the first handsome guy who showed any interest in me.
"Boy, was I stupid for ever thinking that was possible, because it didn't matter. Doesn't matter how many life coaches I get, or if I get my own body, or do a bunch of art, or get my own boyfriend because I'll always just be a copy of the original. An echo. 'Cause I've never been really alive. And now that's gonna get Caity killed."
"So, you're not normal. Frost, I have spider powers, I'm from another timeline, and I'm your husband in said timeline, we both work for a man who can run so fast that he can break the sound barrier, and we're up against a demon possessing the body of a former team member/doppelgänger of my best friend since highschool/doppelgänger of my wife's ex-fiancé, who wants to turn your sister/doppelgänger of my other wife into his demon bride, none of this is normal. And just because you didn't start as a baby like most people doesn't diminish you. A person's origins are not what define them."
"What about the doubt you told me you felt about her? That's gotta say something for me and why I'm starting to flake with Mark."
"I was doubting if I was good enough. You were so happy and in love with him, I was doubting if I ever did right by your doppelgänger. Look, you care about people, you definitely love Caitlin and she loves you back. It's why she was so against Mark, because he's so toxic. My Frost was going to give birth. Give life to a human being and I bet dollars to donuts that you will too."
"You're positive? What if she could and I can't? That is…if I want to be a mother someday."
"You could always adopt. Your doppelgänger was technically Frankie's aunt, but she loved her like a daughter. Hell, you'd think after everything with Barry and Joe, you'd have learned that blood doesn't equal family. Hell, tell me you didn't love Cisco like a brother?" He asked, she reluctantly nodded.
"What if I can't love a child like a mother?"
"You'll never know unless you try."
She then raises an eyebrow. "I thought there was no try? Just do it or don't do it."
"Well, then you didn't do it. But next time you can do it."
She then giggles. "It's a shame your doppelgänger here is dead. I bet he would've been as great as you."
"Thanks." He replies before realizing. "Actually, I recently met a doppelgänger who is single…a version of me who is single. Maybe I can convince him to live here. Though I doubt he'd leave his Aunt May."
"Well, maybe I can go to his world, maybe convince Caity after this is all over."
They laugh. ""Life Coaches?" Was one of them Ralph Dibney?"
Frost sighs. "Yeah."
They laugh again, this time even harder, before Peter realizes something.
"Wait, I got it! Tell Mark to meet us in the Med Lab."
"Why, what is it?"
"M.A.C.'s working fine, but the chemical reaction was missing a necessary ingredient. Frost, I know how to finish your transformation!"
Peter and Frost then meet Mark and Cecile in the Med Lab with Caitlin on a gurney. It seems that the grief from Barry, Chester, Allegra (and little did they know, Joe and Iris too) was still transforming Caitlin.
"I can see them. Stars, endless stars." Caitlin said in a voice like Deathstorm. Her transformation is nearly complete.
Frost goes to sit next to her to talk to her. "Hey, Caity. I'm not even sure if you can hear me, but there's something I need to say. You know, I used to be afraid that because we shared a body, I was only gonna get to live half a life, that I was only gonna be half a person. I realize now, that isn't true. You didn't take anything from me. In fact, it's just the opposite. You make my life complete. I gotta be honest, I'm a little worried that we're not gonna make it out of this and that I might lose you forever. And I can't have that. I would die. I love you more than anything"
After she says that, her left cheek starts to glow and she groans in pain.
"Is that what's supposed to happen?" Cecile asks Peter and Mark.
Frost continues to groan as mist starts to come off her. Her body then starts to get enveloped in blue fire.
"The M.A.C.'s been working fine all along, but the chemical reaction was missing one key ingredient." Peter informs them. "The spark that gave Deathstorm life: grief. Frost just had to let herself feel it."
Soon the fire evaporates and Frost has black hair, with some white streaks. Her lips are now dark gray and she is in a full black version of the suit she's worn since Crisis, but her snowflake emblem is still white.
"Damn, I've never felt this warm before." Frost states.
"It's all that power! Frost, I can feel it radiating off of you." Cecile tells her with awe.
"That's because I'm not just Frost. I'm Hellfrost!" She states as her eyes glow white and fire comes up from them. She then raises her hands and creates a fire wave throughout Central City, destroying Deathstorm's ghosts of Nora Allen, Eddie Thawne, Esperanza Garcia, and Quincy P. Runk. She then has said flames return to her hands and once she finishes, her eyes return to normal.
"The team, they're all okay." Cecile informs them as she senses what happened with her powers.
"So, Hot Stuff, what do we do now?" Mark asks flirtatiously, much to the annoyance of Peter who responds with both an eye roll and a face palm.
"We kick some ass and save my sister." Hellfrost replies.
A few minutes later, the rest of Team that were previously being tormented by Deathstorm's ghosts reunite with Peter, Mark, and Hellfrost in the cortex.
"You look totally badass." Allegra states in admiration.
"Thanks. I feel badass, but Caity's not okay." Hellfrost replies. "In fact, Cecile says she's worse."
"Then this isn't over." Chester realizes. "Deathstorm is back in his home dimension, which means he can still put guilt inside of Caitlin."
"Or send more ghosts after you guys." Mark states.
"Yeah, I talked to Iris. Deathstorm sent one to the loft." Barry informed them.
"You saved the whole team." Peter tells hellfrost with pride.
"And now, I'm gonna save Caity by extinguishing this son of a bitch." Hellfrost states.
"Well, hey, when that thing comes back, you're gonna need some backup." Mark states.
"No. I'm the only one who can do this." Hellfrost states defiantly. "None of Peter's webbing can stop him, not even Barry's lightning."
"And if anything goes wrong-" Barry tells her.
"You'll get me out of there in a flash." Hellfrost says in agreement.
Peter then realizes with wide eyes that Frost (or…Hellfrost, now) just revealed his and Barry's secret identity to a man she recently considered dumping.
"Okay, wait. "Flash?" "Lightning?" "Webbing?" Are you saying that Barry and Peter are-" Mark asked as he was starting to realize. Hellfrost realizes her mistake and then takes a step away to reveal the year one Flash suit on display.
"Whoa." He says and laughs that he's standing in the same room with a hero he's admired for years.
He then turns to Peter, who he still doesn't like and admits he likes him a tad better for the good Spider-Man has done, though still raises an eyebrow in confusion.
He then turns back to Hellfrost. "But if he tries to kill you, you gotta let me try adjusting the gauntlets and pump up the cryo-kinetic outputs."
"As much as I don't like a civilian out in the field, he has a point. It's a good idea to have some sort of backup." Peter replied.
"There's no time for either of you to adjust your equipment." Hellfrost replied, once again defiantly.
"Then maybe we should make time." Mark states, refusing to lose this argument.
"Look, I told you both, I was born for this."
Mark is about to reply, but Peter then webs his mouth and then impact webs him to a nearby wall.
"He has an hour before that webbing dissolves. Go save Caitlin. We'll be here when you get back." Peter tells her.
She smiles at Peter and gives him a kiss on the cheek before leaving the room. Mark sees this and looks at Peter with anger, now hating the man.
"Sorry about that." Peter says, apologizing to the team.
"Not what I would do, but as long as you free him eventually." Barry relents.
"Shame to see that happen to a hunk of a man." Allegra states, which both Peter and Chester roll their eyes to.
A few minutes later, they monitor Hellfrost getting ready to trap Deathstorm from the cortex monitors. She was going to use one of H.R.'s disguise devices into tricking him into thinking that she's Caitlin. Eventually, the monitors notify the team…he's here.
"This is it." Barry states.
They then see on the monitor, Hellfire grabbing Deathstorm and flying him away from S.T.A.R. Labs. As Peter watched, he still got the uneasy feeling that there should be more that he could do to help Hellfrost and Caitlin. But the best he can do for now is cheer from afar.
"C'mon Frost, give 'em hell!" Peter whispered.
Soon, notifications for Hellfrost's vitals were showing that Deathstorm was giving her a beating. Mark even looked worried at seeing that on the monitors. But soon enough, the monitors only displayed Hellfrost. Deathstorm had been defeated. The members of Team Flash cheer for her victory.
"That's it, party people!" Chester cheered. "All traces of supplemental cold fusion and barometric anomalies are gone!"
"Hellfrost, you did it!" Allegra congratulated her over the coms.
"Hell yeah, I did!" She replied over the coms. "How's Caity?"
Before anyone replies, Cecile enters with an approving nod.
"She's doing fine." Peter informed her.
"Thank God." She said, but then after a beat, "Guys, I'm not feeling too hot."
After she said that, her vitals on the monitors are changing.
"Her vitals are crashing." Chester informed them.
"What?" Peter says as Barry sped out of there to take Frost back to the Med Lab for aid. Peter decides that since the situation is basically over, he uses web dissolve on Mark. As soon as he's free, he tries to swing punches at Peter, who dodges them.
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Mark yelled.
"Whoa!" Chester exclaimed.
At one point, Peter grabs both of Mark's wrists. Peter being stronger, prevents Mark from doing anything with his hands. Mark then tries to kick Peter, but he jumps so that his feet are on the ceiling, meaning that Peter is upside down, holding Mark by his wrists, and Mark is now dangling a few inches from the floor.
"You ready to calm down?" Peter asked.
"If she dies because I couldn't back her up-" Mark tried to argue.
"You heard her, there wasn't time!"
"He's right, Mark, it was her choice." Cecile told him in a calming voice. "Why doesn't everyone go to the lounge? I'm going to help Barry with seeing to Frost."
"I should be by her side!" Mark argued.
"I understand your frustration, but she needs her sister more."
Her reasoning speaks to Mark, so he relents.
"Fine. Peter, you can let go of me now."
He does so and Peter soon drops down from the ceiling as the four head to the lounge.
"How are you not dizzy from being upside down?" Chester asked.
Peter then shrugs. "Just another side effect of my powers."
"Cool." He responds.
A few minutes after Peter, Chester, Mark and Allegra enter the lounge (Mark then grumpily took a seat), Cecile joined them.
"Any news?" Peter and Mark asked in unison.
"No, I just left so that Caitlin could focus." Cecile.
The two sat back down, not too happy with the lack of news. But, to help them pass the time, they turn on the TV for the actual news. Sometime later, Joe, Iris, and Sue Dearbon (who was helping Iris with a story and her recent time sickness) join them. Mark decides to get up and pace the floor.
"-C.C.P.D. has lifted the city-wide curfew after confirming that as of an hour ago, the mass-murderer plaguing our city is no longer a threat. Citizens are clear to fully resume their-" The News Anchor reported, before Chester turned off the TV.
"Well, Deathstorm's finally gone." Chester states.
"Frost is a real hero." Sue states.
"Caitlin and Barry have been in there forever." Allegra states.
"Well, it's been an hour." Peter points out, everyone looks annoyed at him for that statement. "But, I get it. Time can feel slower when you're waiting, especially for something important."
"Frost is going to pull through." Cecile tells them, trying to lighten the mood.
Peter just keeps looking at the door, waiting for any news. For Caitlin, Barry, and Frost to come in. Hopefully all of them.
"You doing ok, Mark?" Joe asked him, noticing his pacing.
"Yeah. Thanks, man." He replied in a somber tone. "I'm doing a lot of thinking, you know? Frost and I had a lot of plans. Like, I scored this trip to the Himalayas, where you jump out of a chopper and snowboard down. And at the bottom, at base camp, that have this cute, little restaurant where every dessert is made of ice. I know she's probably gonna say it's stupid, but then secretly not hate it at all. Kind of like how she feels about me. I just want to make her smile. There's nothing better than that."
If Frost survives this, boy is he going to be disappointed. Peter thought, even trying to hide a smile. He did agree with him on one thing: There was nothing better than seeing Frost smile or laugh.
"She's lucky to have you in her life." Iris replied.
Of course you'd think that, Iris! Peter thought.
"We all know I'm lucky to have her in mine."
Soon after, Barry walks in to lounge with a somber face. Seeing just him made Peter very concerned.
"Barry?" Peter asked, which caught the attention of the rest of the team…and Mark.
After a few seconds, Caitlin enters next. Peter slightly hopes that Frost is also trailing behind.
"Something-something happened." Barry somberly informed them. Peter starts to realize what he means.
"Where is she?" Mark asked, in denial. They don't give him an answer. "Where-where is she?!"
"Frost died." Caitlin informed them.
Everyone in the room is shocked by this news.
"That is not possible."
"I'm sorry. She didn't make it. She's gone." That last sentence broke Caitlin's voice, it was a sentence she never wanted to say…and now she has.
Mark broke down to his knees and started to cry. The rest of the team start to cry too. Chester held Allegra. Barry held Iris (though, mostly he needed to be comforted by her). Joe held Cecile. Sue looks down; sad for the loss, but didn't know her as well as the others did. Caitlin starts to sob and falls to her knees. Peter wants to go and hold Caitlin, but feels that she wouldn't want him to. But it's moot anyway, as Cecile soon goes over to hold her.
"No." Peter says with tears in his eyes. Joe then looks at him. "Not again. Not another one. Not her."
After a second, Peter then runs out the lounge glass doors to the balcony and jumps off of it, only to then be seen swinging away.
Barry is about to run after him, when Joe grabs his shoulder.
"Let him go. He needs some time alone, Barr." Joe told him.
Peter then makes his way to the top of the Mercury Labs building, where he first took Frost web swinging. He sits on the edge of the rooftop. As the sun starts to rise, he sobs. She may not have been his Frost, his wife, so why did it hurt so much? Sure, she had become one of his friends on this Earth, but the pain of losing her still felt worse than ever losing Uncle Ben, Ronnie, and Oliver combined. As he sat there, a memory entered his mind.
"Tragedy."
Roughly a month ago, in the other universe.
He was in Matt Murdock's apartment, watching the death of the doppelgänger of his Aunt May on a live video of the Daily Bugle.
"What else can I call it?" J. Jonah. Jameson reported. "What more need be said? The damage, the destruction. You saw it with your own eyes. When will people wake up and realize that everywhere Spider-Man goes, chaos and calamity ensue? Everything Spider-Man touches comes to ruin and we, the innocents, are left to pick up the pieces. J. Jonah Jameson reporting. Good night, and god help us all."
Peter looked at the screen in shock. He knows he has to help this Peter and help him and find Caitlin and Frost, hopefully prevent them from soon suffering the same fate as the May of this universe.
A/N: Yep, Frost and Ronnie still die! Why? As I've said, this Earth has been changed and there had to be consequences for it to not be like What If Universe's Earth-1. But this won't be the end of them, as we've seen even in comics, death isn't the end.
The Netflix show, "He-Man And The Masters of The Universe" has He-Man played by Yuri Lowenthal aka Spider-Man in the PlayStation 4 and 5 Insomniac games. The other show, "Masters of The Universe: Revelation/Revolution" has He-Man played by Chris Wood aka Mon-El and He-Man's love interest, Teela, was played by Sarah Michelle Gellar in the first two seasons, but in the latest season is replaced by Chris Wood's irl wife, Melissa Benoist aka Supergirl.
I used some of "Next Generation: Book 4 of the Spider-Verse" chapter 37 for Peter's ghost visit. I will explain later, but there is a reason why Deathstorm couldn't feed on Peter.
Since I was having Frost fall out of love with Mark, I cut any romantic scenes from the episode, including their kiss.
I'm assuming that the only way Mark and Frost could afford extravagant vacations like that was because Barry paid Frost a lot for her superheroing. Otherwise, there's no way Mark could afford them on a bartender's salary.
Frankie's voice before Deathstorm tries to trick Peter is a favor that What If Universe asked as a tie-in to his story, "Kraven's Final Hunt: Book 5 of the Spider-Verse."
