Welcome back to A Song of Spiders and Dragons. Last time, Miles Morales had his first day at F.E.A.S.T., and it seems to be going pretty well for the young man. Getting the lay of the place, meeting some of those they help, not a bad first day for someone still in the throws of grief. But that's when our heroes remembered they've got work to do, and have to head out. So, what awaits once the action resumes? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes on the roof the F.E.A.S.T. Center, where Spyro, Cynder and Spider-Man are preparing to mobilize.)

Spider-Man: Sable should be moving Dr. Michaels soon. We need to locate him, now.

Spyro: Then let's get to the Bowery.

Cynder: There's no time to waste!

(With no hesitation in their wings or webs, the terrific trio takes off towards the Bowery, placing a call to Yuri along the way)

Spider-Man: Yuri. We're heading for the Bowery to make sure Dr. Michaels gets to the new safehouse, you know, safely.

Yuri: Not an advisable move. Silver Sable made it very clear you are not welcome.

Cynder: She made it clear that Spidey isn't welcome. I think she might be more open to Spyro and I. We'll make sure our wall-crawling friend sticks to the shadows.

Spider-Man: Besides, what's she going to do if I'm seen? Shoot me?

Yuri: 50/50 chance?

Cynder: Probably.

Spyro: We'll keep out of sight. It's just to ease our minds.

Yuri: Before you go, be straight with me. If this Devil's Breath stuff gets loose in the city, what's our worst case scenario?

Spyro: One word: Armageddon.

Cynder: This stuff is a plague waiting to happen Yuri. Silver's transporting a global pandemic in potentia and doesn't even know it.

Yuri: Why did I even ask? (Hangs up)

Spider-Man: (Noting where they are) Here's the Bowery, but where's Dr. Michaels?

Spyro: (Hearing something at a window) Shh... I think I found him.

(Now we hear through Spyro's ear briefly)

Sable Guard: Waiting on you, Dr. Michaels. Is that the Devil's Breath?

Morgan Michaels: It's called GR-27, but yes. We need to be extremely careful with this. In the wrong hands...

Sable Guard: Don't worry. We're the best in the world.

Morgan Michaels: (Sarcastically) I feel better already.

Sable Guard: Code 381, package is on the move.

(With that, Spyro stops listening in)

Spyro: They're on the move. Hit the shadows, Pete.

(Soon enough, Spider-Man is hidden, with Spyro and Cynder stationing themselves on a rooftop as Morgan Michaels exits the building under full guard)

Sable Guard: This way, Dr. Michaels (Gesturing to a car)

Second Sable Guard: (Looking up) Wait, are those dragons up there?

Sable Guard: (Seeing Spyro and Cynder) Yeah, friends of the boss. Sable said they might show up.

Second Sable Guard: And she's cool with this?

Sable Guard: Yeah, it's Spider-Man she's got a problem with.

(While they're talking, Morgan Michaels gets in the escort car, but before they can even shut the door, a rumbling can be heard down the street)

Sable Guard: What the hell was that?

(And soon enough, barreling out of a side street comes the APC that Tombstone was working on, heading straight for the convoy.)

Sable Guard: Hostiles! Secure the package!

(A pair of Sable Guards move to secure Morgan Michaels, while the rest fire on the APC, out of which pops a Demon with a rocket launcher, firing a negative energy infused rocket at the Sable team, blowing a solid hole in the barricade just as the APC rams into it and Demons exit the vehicle and start engaging the Sable Guards. But they're not able to get Morgan Michaels out of there before a bruiser of a Demon uses an energy pulse to flip the car Morgan Michaels is in and then grab him by the leg and pull him out of the car, just as Spyro and Cynder land in on the situation)

Cynder: Not so fast, Demons!

(As the bruiser picks up Morgan Michaels and Demons start swarming Spyro and Cynder, Mister Negative himself exits the passenger side of the APC's front cab, allowing Morgan Michaels to be thrown in)

Mister Negative: Welcome aboard, Doctor.

(With Morgan Michaels secured, the Demons return to the APC and drive off just as Spider-Man swings in to try and help)

Sable Guard: (As Spider-Man tries to help him up) Get off me! We've got this under control.

Spider-Man: Forgive me if the flaming pile of rubble says otherwise.

Spyro: Got to give him that much.

(Spider-Man chucks a manhole cover into a fire extinguisher to put out the flames as he swings off with Spyro in hot pursuit. Cynder lingers back for a moment though)

Cynder: Tell Silver Sable that we'll be handling this from here.

(And with that, Cynder flies off to rejoin the others as our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to wrap up for now. A nice cliffhanger, haven't done one of those in a while. So, the transport did not go as planned, and now the Demons have Dr. Michaels and the Devil's Breath. Not a good situation to be in right now. But that only leaves one question. Will our terrific trio catch up with the Demons and avert an apocalypse? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
