Welcome back to A Song of Spiders and Dragons. Last time, Mister Negative took over Grand Central Terminal and made an ultimatum to Norman Osborn. If he's not there in 30 minutes, there'll be more blood on his hands. Meanwhile, MJ, Ember, and Flame managed to alert Spider-Man, Spyro, and Cynder as to what's going on. The trio of heroes has made their way into the Terminal, while drones were deployed to keep an eye out for those three, who are awaiting a signal to cause a distraction. Will this end well at all? Read on to discover...

(The scene resumes just where we ended, with MJ, Ember, and Flame hesitating to strike. But sooner rather than later, they resolve themselves, and MJ gets back on the phone)

MJ: Go for it.

(With the signal given, Spider-Man lets loose a web ball, striking the clock at the center of the Terminal, the resounding clang getting the Demons running in that direction, leaving the drone controls unguarded)

Spider-Man: Okay, move.

(Wasting no time, the trio starts moving, each of them approaching the tablet from a different angle just in case somebody looks, but ultimately, it's MJ who gets there first and pockets the tablet, But just as they do, one of the other hostages gets up and starts trying to fight a Demon off, only to get captured and have a gun pointed at his head. MJ refuses to let this stand)

MJ: Wait!

Spyro: (Seeing what's going on) MJ, what are you doing?!

MJ: Everybody just relax, let's not lose our cool here.

Demon: (Translated from Chinese) Stop talking or I'll shoot you too!

(At this point, Ember and Flame refuse to stand by either)

Ember: We can help you! We're reporters, we have a direct line to Mayor Osborn! We can make sure he arrives on time.

Cynder: What are you three up to?

Demon: And how can you do that?

Flame: Let the civilian go and then we'll tell you.

(One of the Demons nearby radios out to someone, and soon enough tells the first Demon to let the civilian go, which he does before getting the rest of the information)

Demon: You three are coming with me. Mr. Li will want to talk to you.

(Soon enough the trio is escorted away from the rest of the crowd by one of the Demons. However, once the Demon escorting them is out of sight of the rest, Spider-Man, Spyro, and Cynder sling into action and web them up)

Spider-Man: They're coming, quick, over the railing!

(Heeding Spider-Man's advice, the reporter trio ducks over a railing and start sneaking around, evading sight from any other Demons and manage to get up above the scene just as the drones circle back around)

Spyro: Drones incoming! Get out of sight!

(MJ, Ember, and Flame hide behind a set of crate, and once hidden MJ pulls out the tablet, preparing to hack into the drones. And after a few attempts, they've got it, and the drones are shut down.)

MJ: That takes care of them.

(Soon enough, Spider-Man, Spyro, and Cynder join this trio)

Cynder: Excellent, now let's get you three out of here.

Ember: What about the Devil's Breath?

Spyro: We'll come back for it.

Flame: No. We're partners, aren't we? If we don't help those people, they could die.

Spider-Man: And so could all of you!

MJ: We got ourselves into this, we'll get ourselves out.

(At this point, the hero trio realizes they've got no time to argue and head back out of sight as the reporter trio starts hiding again)

Spyro: I don't like how many guys are on you.

Ember: Then let's start taking them out.

(Seeing the opportunity, the trios split up again. Spider-Man pairs with MJ, Spyro with Ember, and Cynder with Flame and they start taking out any Demons in the way as they start centralizing on the Devil's Breath, leaving Demons dangling from the ceiling all the way.)

Spider-Man: Guys, be honest with us, did you know Li would be here?

MJ: Not like this.

Spyro: Meaning?

Ember: We knew something was going down here, but we had no idea what.

Cynder: Why didn't you tell us? You were so anxious to call us all partners before this, yet we were in the dark.

Flame: Last I checked partnerships require trust, and you three only seem to trust us behind laptops! (Sighs frustratedly) Look, we'll discuss this later, right now we've got a city to save.

(And as the group centers in on the Devil's Breath, our scene ends for today just as Mister Negative appears in the background.)

And that looks like a good spot to end out for now. Next time, Mister Negative enters the fray and things are really going to get hectic. There's really not much else I think I need to say there. So how's the beatdown going to shake down? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
