Firstly, if you haven't read the two most recent chapters of Season Five, Starring Cory Monteith, what are you waiting for? DO IT! 100 and New Directions are posted and wrap up a lot of great storylines. However, as Finn would say, "the show's gotta go all over the place... or something."
I'm posting this little update to let you guys know what to expect from...

Season 5B: New York
Like in the actual show, the cast is going to be cut in half. The following are going to stick around as the main cast for 5B:

Jenna Ushkowitz as Tina Cohen-Chang

Off the bat, my 5B will be a bit different than the actual 5B because Tina is going to continue to be a main character, whereas in the actual show she only appeared in Opening Night. Anyways, I'd also like to announce that a guest star from 5A is going to make the jump to main character. Just like in the show, let's give a warm welcome back to...
Amber Riley as Mercedes Jones
That's right! Mercedes is joining the fun for these last couple episodes.
Some guest starts from the New York side of things will continue to appear as characters throughout the back-half of this season. They include:
Jessie Mueller as Miriam Reign
Adam Lambert as Elliot "Starchild" Gilbert
Demi Lovato as Demi
Peter Facinelli as Rupert Campion
Ioan Gruffudd as Paolo San Pablo
And also, Michael Lerner's character Sidney Greene will be making his debut. Sidney Greene has thus far not appeared in Season Five, Starring Cory Monteith, but since he appeared in the season four episode Sweet Dreams, he is already a big part of Rachel's current storyline.
Of course, there will be various other familiar faces returning as guest stars. However, I'll keep those a secret for now...
I am planning on having NINE chapters in this era of the story. The real 5B only lasted from episodes 14-20, however I will be adding two additional chapters to complete this season's 22-episode run, as it was originally intended before Cory's passing. It will be a mix of what actually happened in 5B, the New York stuff I missed thus far, and of course, original content. The same goes for songs!
There's so many stories to be told; what happens with Rachel and Funny Girl? Will Santana and Brittany's kiss impact her relationship with Dani? What's going on with Pamela Landsbury? What will Tina's storyline entail?

And lastly, the question on everyone's minds... where does Finn fit into this? The answer to that question...
Finn is not a main character during Season 5B: New York.
I know, I know; this essentially contradicts the title of the story. However, Finn is not a character that would enjoy living in New York. At least, not at this time in his life, when the story takes place. His story will fully pick up when we get to Season Six, Starring Cory Monteith. So, for now, Finn will be living in Lima until we make our triumphant return to Lima in season six.
I will say that Finn will appear in at least two episodes of 5B: New York. What episodes will he appear in? I guess we will just have to wait and see...
