Chapter 7: UNEXPECTED SITUATIONS
KraKoa - Mainland:
"Woah" was all Daniel could say as he looked around. The place was beautiful, despite being an island, the city was futuristic. The buildings were made of beautiful architecture but he could sense the level of technology around.
"Welcome to KraKoa, officially I mean, now that you're a mutant you get access, not even the government can track you here" Iceman said putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Amazing, this is KraKoa" Daniel looked at the futuristic architecture and different kind of people walking around. "Wait, where's kitty?" He looked around for the captain.
"She has a meeting to attend. She took Magik with her" Iceman replied while rubbing the back of his neck.
"What's wrong?" Daniel worried.
"Look, it's not that I don't want to be here but, I have something to take of so…. I'm sorry I gotta go"
"Oh, okay, no problem" Daniel turned to look at the place before turning back to ask for direction but Iceman was already gone. "Sigh, guess I'm on my own"
Daniel moved around trying to find heads and tail of the place but no luck. He tried to ask but though otherwise, he's new to the mutant world and doesn't know how to interact with others.
'What do I do, I'm lost' as he was lost in thought he bumped into someone. "Sorry, I wasn't looking"
"No worries, I wasn't looking either"
Daniel looked at the person and was instantly hypnotized by her appearance. She had long blonde flowing hair, she had blue eyes and a kind smile, but looked shy. She was wearing a modest straight dress. She had a petit build.
Noticing something was wrong, Daniel unconsciously stepped back and his thoughts became clearer.
"What was that." He held his head coming out of the trance.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen" the girl began to panic.
"What?"
"It's my power, I produce pheromones subconsciously. Usually, I have it under control… not fully but manageable" she said with a guilty expression.
"It's alright, I'm fine, don't worry about it"
"O-okay, I'm Laurie Collins, I haven't seen you before"
"I'm new, really new. Daniel, Daniel Nhite"
"Mr. Nhite, weird name- wait did you say new"
"Yeah" He started feeling uncomfortable "It that a problem"
"What? No, no I'm just surprised, you don't seem to be losing control of your powers so, I was surprised" She explained quickly.
"Okay, I'm not having full control but I'm managing. You're not a social person"
"Is it that obvious" she sighed with a sad expression, "My powers they make people attracted to me, but I'm an introvert, can you imagine the trouble I had" her face saddens even more
"I can" he looks around for a something to change the topic to. "Where are the going" he asked looking at a group of mutants heading into a tunnel.
She looked in the direction, "Oh, it's time" she smiled excitedly
"Time for" before he could ask, she pulled him into the tunnel.
"The Five"
Project Achilles – Superhuman Supermax:
In a snow region, a large facility stood, far from any town or city. This is a Superhuman super-maximum security prison design to house the "worst of the worst".
In a court room for Achilles, a large man spat on the floor and grind showing his sharp canines to the court. All the soldiers aimed their guns at him but the Judge raised his hand and the lowered their guns.
"What is the case, A.G Tolliver?" The bald judge asked.
A woman with short hair and glasses in an agent shield uniform read through her tablet. "The defendant is being charged with felony of breaking and entering, assault, theft, two count of murder and—I swear to God—if bad manners were something I could add to the list, I will" Tolliver said.
"Thank you, Counselor? Anything to offer" The judge turned to the timid man
"N-n-none sir"
"I see, what about the accused, Sabretooth?"
"Oh, I'm guilty, meat" Sabretooth spat on the floor again "I definitely got bad manners"
"And other charges?"
"Yeah, I did those things. Ain't gonna matter tho. Ain't no place ever built that can hold me…" he grins "… and if we're being honest, ain't like I'm going to sit here and let you judge me anyway" all guns were aimed at him. "You think these chains can stop me from making your insides your outsides? wanna guess the answer" He stops and sniffs the air. "You smell that?"
"W-w-what?" The timid man asks
"Jasmine"
"W-w-what does that mean?"
"It means you're fired? Counselor" Sabretooth grins widely
"Well, what have we here?" a woman's voice came from the entrance
Suddenly the doors opened and Emma Frost and the Stepford cuckoos; Esme, Celeste and Mindee walked in.
"It looks to me like the monkeys are using tools again, Ms. Frost—playing at Civilization" Esme replied
"Young lady, how many times have I told you…" Emma looks around the court, "… we only use our mutant names in public, so I have to insist you call me White Queen."
"Yes mum"
She sighed and walked towards the judge.
"What is the meaning of this" The Judge asks while pulling a gun out.
"I'm not sure that's the question you should be asking. There's a difference between 'Getting ready for what's going to happen' and what it really means." She stops in front of the judge.
"Enlighten me" the judge asks
"Well, that's certainly the correct position to assume. Now, what's going to happen is you're going to surrender Mr. Creed to me."
"Sabretooth, mum" Celeste corrected
"Yes, thank you. Sabretooth." She removes her shades and gives to Celeste. "You're going to give him to me because—in anticipation of KraKoa becoming a sovereign nation—all Krakoans on United States soil—natural born or otherwise—now enjoy the privilege of diplomatic immunity." She smiles "A recent gift from your state department"
"We have all the paperwork if you need it" Mindee added
"But it's totally cool if you leave his chains on" Celeste said wearing Emma's shades.
"That isn't going to happen" Tolliver said.
"It is going to happen…" Emma looks at her nails uninterested in the group "… and as for what it means, well, it simply means we don't answer to you anymore."
"That… thing is a KILLER!" The judge yelled in frustration.
"Just like my Momma made me… and I ain't close to done" Sabretooth said proudly.
"Yes. He's a bit of a monster—on that I cannot disagree—but he's our monster." She turns to look at Sabretooth "And from today forward, mutants won't be judge in any human courts…" she turns to look at them "Or the likes of you"
"That's not how today ends" Tolliver said aiming a gun at Emma.
"Usually, I'll dominate that little mind of yours and make you live like a rabbit your whole life or make you stick that gun where your last boyfriend left you…" Emma said a bit annoyed "… but I've been told the art of diplomacy is about equalizing power dynamics… so, why don't we pretend that some larger American purpose is being served here today… I'll pretend you could have stopped me cause I'm in a hurry"
The Stepford cuckoos took Sabretooth and left the court.
"It's a brave new world, darlings. Best get use to it" with that, she left the court.
KraKoa – Arbor Magna:
In the center of the island, huge vines from all over the island have joined together to form a huge tree. The Vines gathered from the down going up to spread across the island. On the lower part of the vine tree were golden cocoons.
"Humans. Is there any good to them" A woman with green eyes and long, flowing green hair tied in a long pony tail. She's wearing a sleek, light and dark green costume that complements her powers and heritage with a 'M' shape headgear. The suit is form-fitting, with metallic accents that enhance her magnetic abilities. The suit's design is both functional and stylish, reflecting her status as a powerful and prominent mutant. She is Polaris/Lorna Dane, daughter of Magneto.
"Well, Lorna…" Magneto replied while removing his helmet. "… it's important to remember that despite being a lesser race, they showed us something important. The one good thing human taught us:" He turned to the tree "Society."
"Hmmm" Lorna hummed.
"Charels and I always wondered what would happen if mutants weren't hunted. If—like man—mutant's greatest traits weren't strength and aggressiveness but intelligence, creativity and ingenuity?" He looked at Xavier and storm coming into the room "And now we know"
"Here they come, Father" Lorna said looking at five people walking in.
"Yes… here they come"

Five people walk to the golden cocoon area, from the right to left was;
Fabio Medina, also known as Goldballs. A cubby guy with short dark hair. His costume is simple and practical, typically in yellow and black, echoing the color of the gold balls he produces.
Proteus, also known as Kevin MacTaggart. Proteus has an ethereal appearance, with a glowing, almost translucent body that shifts and warps as if constantly in flux. His eyes are bright and glowing, with an otherworldly intensity, and his features are often distorted or blurred, reflecting his unstable nature.
Hope Summers, dressed in the x-men suit with gold and black colour scheme with red Firey hair and green eyes contributing to her mother, Jean Grey.
Elixir, also known as Josh Foley. Elixir is a young man with a golden complexion. He has short, blonde hair and a calm, serene expression.
Tempus, also know as Eva Bell. She has short neck level black hair with the front white. She wears a sleeveless black and yellow suit but with a white skirt.

Fabio walked to an empty spot and created a golden ball which grew into a huge golden cocoon.
"Fabio's ability was seen useless. Until recently, we only knew the balls were composed of biological matter and there was no limit to the number he could generate." Magneto explained "Then we discovered they were eggs."
Proteus touched the egg and it glowed purple.
"Proteus has the ability to wrap reality. Which, when combined with the eggs, they become a viable."
Hope injects the eggs with something.
"What's she injecting, father" Lorna asks
"The preserved DNA of mutants"
Elixir touched the eggs making it glow golden for a sec.
"Elixir, also known as the life giver, would kick-start the process of cellular replication with his advance healing abilities. After that, all our mutant embryo needed was time to mature"
"But that will take years" Lorna said
Eva raised her hand and blue circles swirled around the eggs.
"Time. The slave of Eva Bell" Magneto explained with a gentle smile. "We've learned that creating life is a delicate, almost impossible, work…" He looks at Lorna "The truth is one their own, these mutants wouldn't be able pull off these promethean feats, but Hope is the great unifier" He looked at the red hair before looking at Xavier who was watching them. "Her powers enable theirs to operate at both their peak and unison."
Hope gathered all of the four and they all held hands as he used her ability of the phoenix to make life work. Lorna watched with wide eyes as the burst of golden energy spread around.
"Sperate, they are great mutants but together, those five made us… whole" Magneto said walking closer.
Suddenly the eggs broke and the mutants out were; Scott, Jean, Kurt, Logan, and all the other that died during the mother mold mission. The Professor walked to them and they crawled towards him. He smiled,
"To me, my X-Men"

Daniel was dragged by Laurie into a large area with a huge tree with a staircase. There was a huge crowed which made both of them feel uneasy for different reason.
"So, what are we doing here?" He asked looking around.
"Umm, not sure"
Daniel looked at her in shock
"I mean I only heard that the five are here so… sorry" She looked guilty
"Forget it… who are the five? Are they the leaders or something?"
"The-"
"The five are the reason why some of the mutants are back to life" a new voice explained before Laurie could answer.
They turned to the source to see a young man with dark brown skin reflecting his Brazilian heritage. He had short black curly hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black shirt with a yellow jacket and jeans with a yellow and black design.
"Um, hello." Daniel didn't know what to say because he didn't know how to interact with the new person.
"Oh, you're here too" Laurie seems happy to see the new figure. "Daniel, this is Roberto Da Costa. Roberto this is Daniel, he's very very new" She introduce them.
"Nice to meet you" Daniel extended his hand
"I can see what she meant by new if you don't know the five" Roberto shook his hand.
"So, you said they are the reason some are back to life, like, resurrection?" Daniel asks
"Something like that, I don't understand the process either" Laurie answered.
"But that's impossible even if you manage to make a body, you can't make a soul" Daniel countered
"Haven't you heard of cloning? it's the same but more advance and closer to revival" Roberto added
"But still, they'll-
…..
"Be empty shells" Lorna said "It's just their bodies optimized to their desired age"
"Watch" Magneto wore his helmet "Cerebro's main function wasn't locating mutants all over the world, that was the second. The first, was copying the mind—the essence, the anima—of every mutant Charles has found so one day he could put a soul back into its mutant shell."
Xavier looked as Scott, who was opening his eye which glowing red but Xavier quickly places his visors on to prevent his powers from shooting out. He held Scott's head and a purple beam shot from Xaviers helmet into Scott's head causing him to fall down.
"There you are, my boy" Xavier smiles at him. "Even knowing I could bring you back… a part of me dies when any of you do, so let's not do that again, shall we."
"Did it work?" Scott asked weakly
"Yes, your sacrifices were not in vain…" Xavier stood up as logan helped Scott up "It was a gift, and in the giving you saved us all" He opened his arms to the naked newly revived "Thank you, Scott. Thank all of you"
"On your feet, mutants." Storm called out "The world is not ready for the likes of your return… but KraKoa is waiting"
….
"Look, bro, I don't get it either but it is what it is" Roberto said tired of this conversation.
"But-"
"Ssshhhhsss, it's starting" Laurie cut him off
"Fine, later" he sighed looking at the top of the stairs
Storm came from the tree and the weather cleared allowing the sun to shine brightly.
"BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF KRAKOA" She started "A GREAT THING HAS HAPPENED TODAY. A MIRACLE MADE POSSIBLE BY MUTANT HANDS…" She gave way for the Five "THE GREAT WORK OF THE FIVE" She continued as they walked down the stairs as other mutants were touching them. "LOVE THEM, FOR THEY HAVE RIGHTED THE WRONG OF MAN AND DEFEATED OUR GREATEST ENEMY. DEATH."
The crowed cheered around the five who were walking out. Daniel was intrigued because he wanted to know this revival but couldn't stop looking at the red hair. He felt warm looking at her.
Hope was feeling weird, like a connection around. She looked around for this strange sense of familiarity and connection.
"Are you alright" Eva asked putting her hand on hope's shoulder
"Yeah, a bit dazed" Suddenly she locked eyes with Daniel and her entire body screamed to get closer, like he's special to her.
Daniel was feeling the same but both found this feeling weird and due to their high willpower, they turned away from each other still feeling close.
'I'll find out what this is later' they both thought as Hope walked out and Daniel return his attention to Storm.
"BY THEIR POWER THAT IS THEIR BIRTHRIGHT, THE FIVE HAVE RETURNED THESE MUTANTS THOUGHT LOST TO US—THEIR FAMILY—AND TO THIS PLACE—THEIR HOME. I SEE THEM, DO YOU?" she yelled.
"WE SEE THEM. BUT WE DON'T KNOW THEM" The crowed yelled
Storm turned to Scott, "What is your name?"
"Cyclops. Scott Summers" He answered
"And how do I know it's you, brother?"
"I once thought I was strong—a leader of mutants—and then you showed me what strong was."
"I learned it watching you." She kissed his forehead then turned to the crowed. "THIS IS MY BROTHER. I KNOW HIM. AS DO YOU. YES, HIS NAME IS CYCLOPS, BUT HE'S EVEN MORE THAN THAT. WHAT IS HE!?"
"MUTANT!" the crowd yelled throwing their fist in the air
She turned to Jean, "What is your name?"
"Marvel girl. Jean Grey" Jean answered
"And how do I know it's you, Jean"
"Oh… I'm the only "Me" that ever was, Ororo."
"This is my sister. I know her" She hugged Jean the turned to the crowed "AS DO YOU. YES, HER NAME IS JEAN GREY, BUT SHE'S EVEN MORE THAN THAT. WHAT IS SHE!?"
"MUTANT!" the crowd yelled throwing their fist in the air
She turned to Monet, "What is your name?"
"Penance. Monet St. Croix."
"And how do I know it's you, child" Storm tried to touch her but she moved back and frowned.
"No touching"
Storm laughed and turned to the crowed. "THIS IS MY SISTER. I KNOW HER. AS DO YOU. YES, HER NAME IS MONET, BUT SHE'S EVEN MORE THAN THAT. WHAT IS SHE!?"
"MUTANT!" the crowd yelled throwing their fist in the air.

"My God, I should be happy watching this—I should be weeping tears of joy—but… but…" Magneto said watching the seen with a conflicted expression.
"I know Erik" Xavier came behind him putting a hand on his shoulders. "Over the years humans have killed millions of us—and many remain lost. But this is good work, Erik."
"The work must continue until Genosha is spoken of not as a grave, but a crucible."
"The work will be continued until its done. It's the fundamental of everything"
"They should have killed us when they had the chance. Now we raise like a phoenix."
Xavier didn't reply but was lost in thought. "When does the U.N vote?" he finally broke the silence.
"Tomorrow. Are you worried?" Magneto asked.
"Not today." He turned to the group walking down. "Today, I'm filled with nothing but hope" His eyes landed on Daniel in the crowed and Cerebro a couple of readings and he smiled looking at Daniel "Yes, hope."

"Mutants all." Storm continued as the group walked down "And it was through their deaths that a great war was won. The first war of many." She said as the group was surrounded with many mutants touching them. "See them for what they are… Heroes of KarKoa"
