Chapter 109: Cost of Greed
Human World, Jail Cell…
"THIS IS ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT!" 1 screamed as he kicked the bars of his cell door.
"Calm down, 1." 2 dully said from her bunk.
They had been arrested for the murders of Gaara Sabaku and Shino Aburame.
Evidence provided from photos and video footage found within Fuu's phone.
"You two sick fucks are going to be here a LONG time." Sasuke emphasized as he glared at the two agents.
1 growled at Sasuke as 2 just accepted her fate.
1 sizzled as he sat down.
'At least we were able to hand off the flash drive before they arrested us.' He thought, crossing his arms.
Earlier that day, he and 2 were able to leave the hospital, and meet with a representative of their… superiors.
Handing over the flash drive and a detailed report, the representative left, stating they would be hearing from their bosses later.
Sadly, not five minutes after, Sasuke and other police men arrived, surrounded, and arrested them.
For murder.
Sasuke continued to glare at them.
"Sasuke…"
"Got any good news?" Sasuke asked his comrade as he approached him… only to walk past him and unlock the cell door. "What are you doing?"
"They are to be released; someone paid their bail."
"WHAT!" Sasuke, 1, and 2 shouted at once.
Anger for Sasuke.
Arrogance for 1.
Confusion for 2.
"Yep, the government paid their bail, so…" the cop said as he gestured for 1 and 2 to get out of the cell. "You are free to go."
Evening, Hell, Pride Ring, Dry Fuck Studios…
Fuu looked in the mirror, fingers in her mouth, looking at her teeth.
"Yep, all sharp." She confirmed, releasing her mouth. "I guess I can still eat meat."
She chuckled as she continued to stare at her new self.
To Fuu's happiness, she was mostly humanoid, currently wearing a loose tank-top and cut off jean shorts.
But… she was a yellow-green insect.
Like D'vorah… just better clothing and she had hair.
Her eyes were still orange, looking like an insect with the mini-multiple eyes.
Over all, it was Fuu… just insectoid.
She currently didn't have any idea over what abilities she possessed now, but that was pushed back for another day.
Smiling, she felt her heart beat like crazy.
'Still so new… I'll take is slowly.' She thought as she left the bathroom, heading to the roof where she and Naruto were planning on smoking some weed. 'Shino…'
She paused briefly in her walking.
Wiping her eyes, Fuu made her way to the roof, where Naruto sat on a bench with some water.
The sun was beginning to set as Fuu approached, gasping.
"Hey!" She said in playful irritation. "You started without me."
"Sorry…" Naruto choked, handing the pipe to Fuu. "I chose not to wait."
"Asshole." Fuu replied with an eyeroll, taking a hit.
Naruto leaned over to his boom box, hitting play.
Fuu's… ears(?)… perked up when she recognized the song.
"Gorillaz: Demon Days…" Naruto drank some water. "Don't get Lost in Heaven…"
Fuu sat next to Naruto, the two listening to the song.
The music and lyrics just washed over them as it slowly changed to the next song.
Gorillaz: Demon Days: Demon Days.
"You know, these two songs…" Fuu said as she drank some water of her own. "They hit… MUCH harder and leave a good impact after a hard patch in life…"
"Yeah, the whole album actually was based off an idea."
"What idea?" Fuu questions, coughing slightly as she exhaled the smoke through her new lungs.
"The Demon Days album is about fighting demons in a single night, with the song Demon Days being about the sun washing away the darkness." Naruto said as he looked toward the setting sun. "Giving us hope for a better tomorrow…"
Fuu chuckled as she looked at the sun set.
"Yeah…" She leaned into Naruto, head on his shoulder, hand over his.
"Fuu…"
"Just let me have this… please…" Fuu asked softly as she laced her fingers in his. "Sorry, I know. You're married, but if… if Shino isn't here… can I still live here… I have no where to go and I chose this in an emotional state…"
Fuu began to stumble over her words, but Naruto gave her a one-armed side hug.
"Why would we throw you out, Fuu?" Naruto asked her with a joking tone. "Andromeda loves her Aunty."
Fuu smiled and just accepted his familial embrace.
'Shino… please, wherever you are, Heaven or Here… please stay safe.' Fuu thought as the sun continued to set, just about to sink completely.
"Alright, I think we should…"
Fuu didn't budge.
"Let's stay out here… just a bit longer." Fuu mumbled into Naruto's shoulder.
"Sure…"
Unbeknown to Naruto or Fuu, Verosika was watching, her tail swaying evilly.
Five Minutes Later…
"You think Fuu is going to seek physical intimacy with Naruto?" Loona asked in confusion as she gently rocked Andromeda to sleep.
"Yes, I do." Verosika replied with a smile.
"Why?"
"Well," Verosika coyly said with a confident smirk. "Let's just say it is a hunch. But, in times of duress or stress, physical intimacy could be good."
Loona didn't confirm distaste or liking of the idea.
It was late, and she wanted to go to sleep.
Meanwhile, Phenex Mansion…
Octavia was drinking coffee on a balcony.
"You still can't sleep?" Riser jokingly asked as he walked out onto the balcony.
"No… I'm still worried…" Octavia replied, taking a sip of her drink.
Riser mimicked her actions, taking a drink from his cup also.
It had been a few days since Gaara died, and the fact they couldn't find him and Shino was scary and concerning for Octavia and Riser.
Yes, the three of them had most recently started their Polyamorous relationship… by words, not physically.
But the fact they did care for the once human was enough for the two royals to be heavily concerned for Gaara's safety.
"I know… I can feel it." Riser said as he took Octavia's hand. "I can feel he is out there…"
Octavia snorted.
"You're trying to cheer me up."
"Is it working?"
"No…"
Riser faltered, nearly dropping his coffee off the balcony.
"But I appreciate the attempt, Riser." Octavia replied, making Riser feel better.
Riser put his arm around Octavia, the two stood close to each other as they looked up at the stars above the Phenex Mansion.
It was a beautiful starry sky.
Not a single cloud or anything else blocking it from their eyes.
It was a perfect moment.
Next Morning, DFS…
Verosika scratched her head.
She was sitting in the living room, a note pad and pen in hand.
"Shit…" She mumbled, ripping the paper off the note pad, crumpling it up before tossing it aside.
"What's wrong?" Fuu asked as she entered while Verosika tapped the notepad with the pen.
"Nothing much, just trying to come up with a new song." Verosika explained.
"Oh, right, you're a musician." Fuu replied, remembering the time she, Shino, Naruto, Loona, Gaara… and Hinata went to see Verosika live in the Human World.
The memory brought a smile to Fuu's face.
'I miss those times.' Fuu thought as she sat next to Verosika. "So, what do you got?"
"Well, the song is about fucking, roughly." Verosika said as she flipped to the previous pages. "Like this lyric…" She pointed at it. "~'I got an addiction to friction, linen on my back while in the piston position.'~""
"OOOh, I like that. Sounds fun." Fuu said as she looked at the lyric. "Maybe after that you could add, ~'Grabbing my hips, bucking my clit, you know right where to hit'~?"
Verosika quirked an eyebrow.
She wrote that one down.
"Yes, that is good… give me another." Verosika asked Fuu.
Fuu cupped her chin, lips pursed up in thought.
"How about…"
Meanwhile, Lust Ring, Fox's Den…
Tamamo knelt before Corey, Zack, and Katie.
"Behave you three." Tamamo said as she patted them on their heads.
Corey nodded… so hard he caved his skull into the ground, making a small crater.
"Don't go, big sis." Katie whimpered as she grabbed Tamamo's arm. "You always are so sad when you leave… just stay here!"
Tamamo gently removed the child from her arm and pulled her into a hug.
"I know, but…" She kissed Katie's forehead, much to the child's embarrassment. "I will always come back, no matter what."
Katie sniffled slightly.
She didn't like this answer, but it was the one she got.
"Zack…"
The trouble maker rolled his eyes, arms crossed as he looked away.
"Don't get into too much trouble, and don't manipulate Corey."
"I've never…"
Tamamo gave him an 'I know you have' smirk/glare.
"Just stay safe."
Tamamo once again ruffled Zack's hair as Arnold pulled up with the car as Karen exited her house, Tamamo's bags in hand.
"Alright, you three, get back in the house." Karen ordered.
Her children filtered into the house, with Karen locking the door.
Tossing Tamamo's bags into the car, they drove to the fence.
Before they left, Karen set up her security system.
Barbed wire, a chain link fence, motion detection laser rifles, and all sorts of other military grade weaponry to keep people out and her children safe.
Tamamo couldn't help but see the love Karen had for her children.
"Alright, let's get back to work." Arnold said with a sad tone as he began to drive.
The drive back to Fox's Den was a quiet affair.
Each block, each mile, each second, Tamamo lost her cheery demeanor, becoming emotionless and stone cold, mentally preparing herself for her… mother.
Even Arnold and Karen got into their work mentalities as they neared Fox's Den.
As they parked, Karen quirked an eyebrow as her ears twitched.
"What is the ruckus?" She asked as they got out of the car.
Heading in, they saw Melani, Karasuba, Crimson, Hinata, and Kiba in the foyer.
The rest of the facility was empty of people.
"… we shouldn't give into their demands, we should just go in, kill them, and then get our boss back." Kiba argued, glaring at Crimson.
"I am the voice of experience, ya' fuck." Crimson snapped as he smoked. "I can tell you, guns blazing is the wrong call."
"What is going on here!" Tamamo exclaimed, drawing attention to herself, Arnold, and Karen.
"Tabitha…"
"Tamamo."
"Tomato," Crimson rolled his eyes, not really caring he had gotten Tamamo's name wrong… again. "I am sorry to inform you, the Gecko," He gestured to Melani, who pulled her hat down over her shame written face. "Was driving the Madam to Cathy's house…"
"Karen."
"Whatever…" Crimson shrugged. "Melani was driving the Madam to Kane's house when the Toad Yakuza attacked, capturing the Madam."
Crimson handed Tamamo the slip of paper Gamabunta had given Melani.
"They even left a list of demands. Money, mostly, but they do state that they will return the Madam upon us giving them the money and so on and so forth." Crimson finished.
He was having a MASSIVE sense of Déjà vu.
Because he was remembering the time he captured Naruto and wanted money for his safe return.
Crimson had gotten away with the money, having given it to Kurama, but had lost everything else.
Even pledging his services to Kurama.
Tamamo looked over the list of demands.
She felt like her blood was chilling, yet boiling at the same time.
A volcanic-induced winter.
Her fingers gripped the paper tightly as everyone continued to talk, making suggestions on how they should rescue Kurama.
'What do I do? What do I do?' She thought as confliction ran through her like a dump truck.
Part of her wanted to ignore the demands, leaving Kurama to her fate.
Kurama had made several unknown enemies through out her life, this was fate running its course.
On the other hand, Tamamo intensely wanted to run through a mine field blindfolded if it meant her mother would be returned safely.
Which desire/feeling was stronger?
Greed Ring, Mt. Myōboku…

The crowd cheered as Gamakichi strained himself for victory.
Why?
Gamakichi was in an arm-wrestling competition they were hosting.
His opponent was a JACKED Incubus, who also gave it 110% of his everything of his strength into his match against Gamakichi.
Dramatic and extreme music BLARED through the room as the crowd continued to root for Gamakichi's victory.
Kichi's BIGGEST supporter was Gamabunta, who was waving around two flags, which bore his son's name on them.
"GO, KICHI, GO!" Gamabunta hollered.
It was quite a rush as he cheered for his son… until he felt someone tap him on the shoulder.
"What?"
"Boss…" Gamahiro said as he held his hand to gesture over his shoulder, pointing. "You got a call on hold."
Gamabunta grunted in irritation as he left the arena, not seeing Gamakichi slam his opponent's arm into the table, winning the round and moving onto the finals.
Loud, LOUD, groans and cheers were heard, gambled money traded between losers and winners.
Gamabunta walked into his office with Gamahiro, grabbing his telephone… which was being held by Kurama's Sealed body, which was set in a pose.
"Who is this?" Bunta grunted.
"This is Tamamo, I am the daughter of Kurama, the Marquis you kidnapped."
Gamabunta became serious.
"So, you finally decided to call us…" he chuckled confidently. "So, you going to do as we demanded?"
"Yes, we are getting the money ready as we speak."
Gamabunta let out a belly laugh.
"Good, when should we exchange the goods for the Marquis?"
"Tomorrow, at noon."
Gamabunta quirked an eyebrow.
'That seems a bit fast.' He thought as he lit his kiseru pipe.
Gamabunta had been in the game for a LONG time.
He always expected resistance, and if there was no resistance, that meant they were up to something.
"Sounds good." Gamabunta replied as he turned his back to the sealed Kurama. "But… you bring it here to my business, where we will do the transaction out front. And…" He took a deep puff on his pipe, the smoke filling his lungs before exhaling. "You are only allowed four people with you, for a total of five."
"I understand. We shall see you tomorrow."
Gamabunta heard Tamamo hang up.
His unease hadn't been settled.
"Hiro… get the rest of the boys here for tomorrow, incase things go awry." Gamabunta ordered.
Gamahiro nodded before he left, with Gamabunta returning to the small arena for the finals, where Gamakichi was now facing another physically imposing opponent, veins bulging and sweat pouring down their bodies as they tried to push the others hands down.
Meanwhile…
Tamamo hung up the phone.
She was currently sitting in Kurama's office, at her desk.
"So, Kiddo…" Karen said as she stood on the opposite side of Kurama's desk. "You're choosing the save the cunt?"
Tamamo made no movements to physically or verbally confirm or deny Karen's question.
Karen gripped her hand tightly.
"You do know you don't need do this…" Karen said as she walked around the desk, grabbing Tamamo's shoulders gently. "You… we could just leave this place behind, leaving that bitch in the hands of those toads… we can leave, move to a different Ring, and live away from all of this mess. You, me, Arnold, and the kids…"
She looked in Tamamo's eyes.
Tamamo looked back.
Her eyes were not dead nor were they sad.
They were resigned to their fate.
"Mother knows how to run this place, I am not ready." Tamamo dully replied. "A life with you, Arnold and the triplets…" A small spark of hope glistened in her eyes. "Is just a dream. It will never happen."
Karen's grip on Tamamo's shoulders went from light to tight immediately.
"Tamamo…"
Tamamo pulled away from Karen, turning her back to her friend.
"We are going to protect the marquis who we work for. Nothing more." Tamamo replied as she left the office, retreating to her own room.
She walked over to the small table that she placed her swords on.
Kneeling down, Tamamo began to meditate, to prepare herself for the upcoming day.
Once she was alone, Karen smashed her hand into Kurama's desk, cratering it.
'That bitch!' Karen mentally hissed, an angry scowl on her face as fire roared in her eyes. 'She… she… I will take Tamamo away from this… all of this… and especially from You…'
Karen stormed out of the office.
Meanwhile, Dry Fuck Studios, Living Room…
"Andy, stop…" Fuu whimpered as the baby was using a plastic fork to 'stab' at her leg.
The plastic toy fork didn't hurt.
No.
It was mostly annoying, and it didn't hurt due to her exoskeleton.
Andromeda was simply amazed at how her fork simply bounced off of her aunt's leg.
She turned to her Grandpa Moxxie.
She raised her tiny fork…
*STAB*
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Moxxie screamed, shooting off of the couch, holding his thigh as the fork had penetrated deep into his leg.
Loona began to howl in laughter as Millie yanked the fork out of her husband's leg.
"No, Andy, BAD!" Fuu said very sternly to the baby.
Andy flinched slightly, never having heard her Aunt Fuu talk to her like this.
Fuu didn't cave, and stood her ground as Andromeda began to tear up.
Seeing her child tearing up, Loona picked Andromeda up.
Immediately, Andromeda smiled, clinging to her mother.
"What's the hub-ub?" Naruto asked as he, Verosika, and Blitz entered the living room, trays of snacks and drinks in their hands.
"Nothing…" Millie said as she held up the bloodied children's toy. "Your child just stabbed your dad."
Naruto winced with a hiss.
"Andy."
Andy looked at her daddy.
His heart melted.
"What movie are we watching tonight?" Moxxie asked as he began to bandage up his thigh.
"Well, it's a bit embarrassing, but I feel like going with a favorite from my childhood." Naruto said as the food was placed on the coffee table and he sat down, grabbing the remote and movie to Paramount+.
As he typed in the movie, everyone got settled in.
"Really?" Blitz asked mockingly to his son-in-law. "The Spongebob Squarepants Movie?"
"Yeah…"
"Don't be embarrassed, Stud." Verosika said as she sat in Naruto's lap, shoving popcorn into his mouth as Naruto hit play on the movie. "I will enjoy it."
Naruto chewed the popcorn and swallowed it, snuggling into Verosika.
Andromeda growled slightly, tapping Loona's hand and pointing at Naruto.
Seeing what she wanted, Loona took a seat next to Naruto, Andromeda crawling into Verosika's lap.
'Oh, I guess she wanted Verosika's chest instead.' Loona thought with a chuckle as Andromeda snuggled into her stepmother.
The family settled down just as the movie started.
Chapter 109, DONE!
I hinted back during the Silicone Shores arc that Fuu liked Naruto physically. She IS going to stay with Shino, but from her POV, she is scared she might NOT see Shino ever again. So, her liking for Naruto's looks are turning into sexual desires. Not Romantic. There is a difference.
For now, this is just a friend comforting a friend.
But… if you guys want it, I could have Naruto and Fuu bang once before they reunite with Shino and Gaara. Shino, of course would be told what happened and he'd react accordingly.
But that is if you, yes you, want it. I understand the Insectoid Fuu might not be a turn on for anyone.
