Read and relax
Ace took a sip of his coffee, the clock soon half past 2 in the morning, checking some things as he didn't feel like sleeping just yet. As he was going over files, checking to be sure Whitebeard had stopped his business with 'The Green Interface', he found something while doing a search on Whitebeard, his computer chiming. The text that came up had Ace blink, before he quickly grabbed his phone and dialed a number, hoping the line would pick up, even though it was in the middle of the night.

Whitebeard gave a small groan as he heard a sound that woke him, and moved his hand to his alarm, but it did nothing. So he opened his eyes to see the clock was 2:29 am, and then he realized it was his phone ringing. He moved a bit up as he grabbed his phone and saw it was Ace calling, which was odd. Ace very rarely called, much less this late. Something had to be up, and it had to be serious.
He moved to answer the phone and put it up to his ear. "Hello, Ace, what is-" Whitebeard was cut off as Ace started to speak, and it was very clear he was drunk. He tried to speak, but Ace rambled on, and he couldn't get a full sentence in, but something also made him feel he shouldn't hang up. As Ace went on, he moved the phone a bit away to see it had been almost a minute now, and nothing useful had come out yet. Maybe it was just a drunk call?
Whitebeard felt confused as Ace went on speaking, sounding drunk but coherent if that was even possible. "Ace, it is late, can you call back after 8am?" He would send a message to Ace when his alarm went off at 7 am, in case. Ace went on about something, before Ace's tone suddenly changed as he sounded like himself, as in not at all drunk and fully with himself. "There. We hit the one minute mark and most give up listening to a drunk call in the middle of the night after 30 seconds, but I wanted to make sure." Whitebeard blinked. "What are you talking about? Who would listen in on you?" That was maybe a dumb question, this was Ace. Ace hummed. "Not me; you. You did not hear this from me, but in about 15 minutes the FBI will come and knock on your door. If you don't let them in, they will break the door. They have a search warrant. I don't know if you need to do anything, and if you don't, kudos. If you do, you now have 14 minutes. If you need anything you have my number." Then the line hung up.
Whitebeard sat shocked, before he got his mind and body with him and grabbed his robe, before he started to run out the room and down the hall and banged on the doors as he passed and said the FBI was coming soon to search the home, and to get rid off anything they might need to rid off. He knew he had some files he should delete in case. As he got to the main office and turned on his computer, he called Benn, who answered fast. "It's late. What is it, Newgate?" Benn was someone he worked with at times when they needed help tracking someone online or things like that, or had an IT issue. "How do I delete files on my computer? And I don't mean just put them in the bin, but delete delete. No trace." He heard a breath. "I can come by early, when the sun is up." Whitebeard shook his head. "I can't tell you how I know this, but the FBI is on their way here, they will be here in less than 10 minutes. How do I delete files for good?"
When Benn spoke he sounded confused. "Why d- Forget it. Do this-" Then Benn said how to do it, which buttons to press, how long to press, then what to do. When he pressed delete, it started to delete files, which was good. "Thank you, Benn." He heard a hum. "Call me when you can, update me about what all this is about." Whitebeard nodded, he would. He then hung up, and looked up when he saw Marco coming through the door, moving to the files cabinet, and as Whitebeard was about to speak, Marco had opened a file drawer, reached under it and took out some papers. He then took out a lighter, and started to burn them from the corner, holding it so it would burn the best. Whitebeard blinked. "What is that, Marco?" Marco shook his head. "Nothing bad, just in case, yoi." Then Marco walked out of the room and Whitebeard noticed that the deleting was done, so he turned the computer off, before he went out the room and saw Marco was putting the file in the fireplace to burn, and Thatch was close by on his laptop. Whitebeard felt he was left out on some things here.
He was about to speak, when the doorbell rang, so Whitebeard moved to open it, and when he did, he saw that outside the door, stood at least a dozen fully geared FBI agents, and in the middle, was a woman in a red coat. "Good morning, Mister Edward Newgate. I am Lilith Levine. May we come in?" Whitebeard nodded. "Of course. May I ask what this is about?" The woman hummed. "Just a routine check." Whitebeard blinked. "At almost 3 am?" Lilith hummed. "I need to say that. I don't know why. I hate that policy. I want to just barge in, I like it when you don't answer." Lilith then made a motion with her hand, and the armored agents went in, and Whitebeard didn't try to stop them, as he knew they had a search warrant.
As they were in, Lilith said to let them do their job and to not be in the way, and that they would leave as soon as they were done. It took 5 hours, before they left, telling him they would contact them later if they found anything. When they were gone, having checked all their phones, computers, papers and everything, they went about their day. Curiel did say that since they just left, it meant they didn't find anything bad, or anything too bad, and that was a very good sign. It was some hours later, that Lilith came to their home again, no one in tow, which was good.
She wanted to speak with him and Marco, who was okay with it, as they were the ones who were in charge so to say. When they were in his office, Lilith looked at him. "So, we searched, but we didn't find what we were after." Whitebeard nodded. "What were you after?" Lilith hummed. "No reason to say that now, we didn't find it. But, we did find something. Why do you have the number of a known hitman and informant? We believe he is a heartless killer and have a lot of murders we think he is responsive off. Help us get some dirt on him, and you will be free." Whitebeard blinked, on his way to talk, when Marco did. "But you said you didn't find what you were after, yoi. How can you tell us we will be free when you have nothing." Whitebeard nodded, that was a good catch by Marco.
Lilith hummed. "We didn't find what we were after. But that doesn't mean we found nothing. So, how about we help each other?" Whitebeard blinked. "I am not sure what you mean." Lilith hummed. "Ace D Portgas." Whitebeard nodded. "We work with him. We have a business deal with his company, which he runs with his brothers. I am not sure what you are talking about. We haven't had a meeting with him in person lately, and not any scheduled for a while as well. We have had a few meetings that were not about work, but as friends afterwards and a few meetings as just friends." They hadn't had a meeting with Ace for a couple of weeks and didn't have one for a small while as well, seeing as Ace and his brothers were busy with other things.
Lilith nodded, not looking to believe it as she hummed. "If what you say is true, why do you have a meeting with him next week, according to your oldest, Mr Fishback's, calendar. Not only that, but it is at the restaurant Opulent Oasis, where as you might have heard, you need to book months in advance, or have special connections. Which is it?" Whitebeard blinked. He did not know that, and it didn't make sense. He moved to take up his phone to check his messages and calendar. Had he forgotten anything?
But as he did, Marco moved a hand out. "Pops, don't. It's not a business meeting, yoi." Whitebeard blinked and looked at Marco, who turned to look at Lilith. "It's nothing to do with my father, or the business. It's a date, yoi. I invited Ace out, he said yes. Am I not allowed to date him? He is younger, yes. But he is 21. Or is the issue that he is also a man, yoi?" Lilith blinked. "I had no idea. No issue with that. You two have fun. I'll be in touch." Lilith then left. Whitebeard knew if Lilith tried more, Marco could use the fact it was a date with two men against them as many were against same sex relationships, especially with males, which if it was the cause of something, that business or person would be in huge trouble for bias, which was not good.
As she was gone and he was sure she was gone, he looked at his oldest. "That was quick thinking. But why do you need to meet with Ace, son? Is there something I should know? The papers you burned?" Marco gave a breath. "Those papers were something else, I promise. What I said about going on a date with Ace, was not a lie, yoi." Marco looked at him. "I have a date with Ace, Pops. A real date, since I think I might like him, yoi." Whitebeard blinked. "You… do?" Marco nodded. "Yes, yoi. I didn't want to tell anyone, as I am not sure how it would go. I am not even sure Ace knows it is an actual date. I am not using any company resources for this because it is a personal date, not work, yoi." That he could get.
Whitebeard nodded and smiled. "I hope you have a nice dinner then, son." Marco blinked, and looked at him. "You're… okay with this, yoi?" Whitebeard smiled. "I want all of my children to be happy, Marco. If you feel you want to be with Ace, try it. I trust you will come to me if you need help with something, son. And I like Ace, he is a special man, but also very caring and moral." Marco nodded. "I know, the reason I like him, yoi. He is very caring. And I have no idea if he likes males or females as well." Whitebeard chuckled. "That can be hard. Just be honest with him." Marco nodded. "I will, yoi."
They then went on with their day, and he told everyone the FBI had not found anything and would do their best to figure out why they came, he sent his best people on this case, and if they found nothing, he would ask Ace to help. For now, things were fine.
-x-
Benn moved the phone up to his ear, the other hand stirring the coffee he had, as he felt like a cup now. The call was picked up after a few seconds. "Hi, Benn." Answered Ace, and Benn hummed. "Why did Newgate call me in the middle of the night about the FBI?" He heard a hum. "I am trying to figure out why they targeted them as well, but nothing yet. I believe the files on them are hidden in the part I don't have access to." Benn blinked. Ace had access to basically every department that existed, even the FBI and such. "Are you sure?" Ace gave a breath. "I've checked like four times already, so yes, I am sure." Benn nodded, he didn't like that. While he didn't know entirely how Ace had access to hidden files, he did. He had been taught a lot by his late mentor.
Benn nodded. "I see. Also, would you like for me to drop by tomorrow?" Tomorrow was the 1st of April, a day most joked around on, but not Ace. That day happened to be Ace's mentor, Azuruko's, day of death. He had been everything for Ace for so many years, since he ran into Ace when he was 7. Ace had a necklace from his mother, who Azuruko had known. Azuruko had recognized the necklace and started to teach Ace about his mother, who Ace didn't know anything about as she died some months after giving birth to him. Ace had lived with Dadan but had pretended he would try and live in a tent for a day or three, to survive on his own, but in reality he had been with Azuruko to learn. Benn also worked closely with Azuruko, as Benn was a personal investigator and helped around, but also worked as an IT guy for some companies, which included the company to Newgate. Benn had also been a mercenary years ago, but not anymore.
Ace was silent for a bit, before he spoke. "No, I think I will be okay, but you're free to drop by if you wish." Benn shook his head. "No, if you don't want me there, I will not show. You are allowed to mourn in peace by his tree." Ace had an apple tree for Azuruko, a red apple tree, as Azuruko loved to eat and work with apples, even using them in his work. Ace gave a breath. "Yeah. It also has a lot of apples this year…" Benn nodded. "I can drop by the 2nd and take some if you want?" Ace sighed. "Yeah, I would like that. There will be a lot this year." Benn nodded. "I will be there around noon." Ace gave a breath. "Yeah, I would like that. See you then. Also, what do you know of Marco?" Benn blinked. "Why do you wonder about that? What can I tell you that you don't already know?" Ace hummed. "You see, he sent a message, and I think he asked me out on a date." Benn blinked. "That sounds nice. When?" Ace hummed. "Next week, on Wednesday."
Benn nodded. He now got what Ace wanted. "Marco is known to lean both ways from what I have heard, so yes, this might be a date." Ace hummed. "Good to know. I am looking forward to it, you see, and needed to know if I should expect it to be a date or not." Benn nodded. "What was the exact phrasing of the message?" Ace hummed. "It was: 'Are you busy Wednesday the 6th of April? If not, would you like to join me for dinner somewhere nice?' That was the message." Benn smiled. "Well, Ace. You've been asked out on a date." Ace chuckled. "Yeah, I had a feeling of that. I'm looking forward to it." Benn nodded. "Good. Now, I will be by your place in 2 days and grab some apples. If you need me tomorrow, I am just a call away." Ace gave a small breath. "Yeah. We will speak then. Bye, Benn." Benn gave a bye as well, and then he hung up.
Benn then took a sip of his coffee. Marco and Ace would fit with each other. He would be sure to ask Ace how the date went.
-x-
Marco sat down by the table he was shown to and waited for Ace. He was now at the restaurant, ready for the date with Ace, which was now as the clock was 7 pm. When the waiter came by, he just ordered a glass of wine while he waited. He didn't know why, but he felt worried. For what, he didn't know. As the wine was poured, Ace came in and sat down, asking what it was that he was pouring, and when told and shown, Ace said it looked good, but he was driving and asked for something with bubbles that was non-alcohol, which the waiter went and got. When it was poured, Ace looked at the waiter. "Thank you. Could you give us a bit to chat and find out what we want?" The waiter nodded. "Of course, I will come back in 5 minutes." Ace smiled. "Thank you." The waiter then left, and Ace looked at him. "I am sorry I was a bit late. There was a car accident on the road, just a fender bender it looked like. How are you?" Marco smiled as he took Ace in. He had on a nice shirt, which was deep red and sat perfectly. Ace had a warm smile. Ace was gorgeous.
Marco smiled. "I am fine, yoi. Ho-" Marco cut off as Ace's phone rang and Ace reached for it, but it was common as Ace had a lot of business most likely. He had hoped for a calm dinner, but that might be impossible. As Ace grabbed it, instead of answering the call, he declined it, before he did something, before he put it away as he spoke. "Sorry, forgot to put it on do not disturb." Marco blinked. "What if it is something important, yoi?" Ace hummed. "With my phone on do not disturb, it allows those I have chosen as a special contact to get through, everything else is silent." That made sense and Marco nodded.
Marco then looked at Ace. "I also need to say your help with the FBI was greatly appreciated, yoi. And we might need a bit more as they won't tell why they came." Ace blinked, looking a bit crestfallen now. "Oh. Sure, it was nothing." Marco blinked. "Did I say something wrong?" Ace shook his head. "No no. I just thought, or hoped more like it, this wouldn't be a business meeting. I had this impression that this was a date." Marco blinked, before he felt hope in his chest, and looked at Ace. "I felt I needed to say thanks, but I did ask you out, as in on a date, yoi. I was a bit unsure as I have no idea if I am too old for you, or if you even like the same gender."
Ace smiled at him. "Well. Let's just say. I know you've been checking me out. And I have as well, Marco 'Phillip' Fishback." Marco blinked, feeling shocked. "How do y-" Ace chuckled. "I always do a background, it's like second nature now. Don't worry, I will call you Marco 'the Phoenix' Fishback if anyone asks. Phoenix sounds so much better. Was disappointed to read it was Phillip, so anticlimactic." Marco blinked, before he smiled. No one knew his full name, which was that, but he went by Marco Fishback usually, but on his card and license, it did say Marco P Fishback, and he always said the P stood for Phoenix, and not Phillip, which was his real name. Marco was sure the only ones that knew were his blood parents and Pops, no one else. It proved how good Ace was.
Marco looked at Ace. "What about you, yoi? Your name is Ace D Portgas." Ace hummed as he lifted the menu. "Devilish." Marco gave a dumb look. "No, it's not." Ace lifted an eyebrow. "Oh, please tell, what is it then?" Marco hummed. "I am not amazing with background checks, yoi. But I will try and find out what your D is." Ace moved the menu up. "You find out what it is, 'my D' as you called it, you will get a reward." Marco blinked. "A reward, yoi? What reward will I get for finding out what your D stands for?" Ace hummed as he opened the menu and looked at it. "You find out what my D stands for, your P will be happy." Marco blinked, not sure if he heard right based on the very natural tone Ace spoke in, but before he could say anything, Ace continued. "And you heard right. You find the truth about my D, I will take care of your P."
Marco blinked. "What if I can't guess it, yoi?" Acw hummed. "You get 3 dates for 2 weeks, 6 dates in total, and if you haven't figured it out by the 6th date," Ace turned the page in the menu. "I guess I have to show you my skill set at my place so you can figure it out." Marco blinked, before he chuckled and lifted his menu as well. He liked Ace, he was lively as well. They then did some small chatting, before they put their menus down and the waiter came by and asked if they had decided, and Ace hummed. "Yes. By the way, are there any specials today?" The waiter nodded and went over them, and none of them were on the menu. When he had said them, Ace nodded. "Would it be possible for me to get the fajitas you mentioned? But with only chicken, not beef, and double rice? If not, I will take the honey glazed salmon." The waiter nodded. "I will ask, but that should be possible." The waiter then looked at him, and Marco said he wanted the duck, which he got.
When the waiter took the menus and left, Marco looked at Ace. "Don't you like beef, yoi?" Ace chuckled. "I like beef, I love meat. But on fajitas, I prefer chicken. Just a personal preference." Marco hummed. "You seem like someone who knows what he likes, yoi." Ace nodded. "And I do. I feel life is short, so while I am on this Earth, I want what I want. But that doesn't mean I don't like to try new things. I am always open to new things." Marco smiled, Ace was very charming. Ace hummed. "So, Marco, tell me more about you." Marco looked at Ace. "Can I tell you anything you don't already know, yoi?" Ace hummed. "You can read about how a steak tastes, but it's not the same as tasting it. And who knows, I know information about you, but not you you. And I want to get to know you." Marco smiled, and they started to chat, and when the food came, they enjoyed it as they spoke. When he had drank the glass of wine, he asked for what Ace had, which was very good and he had that for the reminder.
When they were done and had some dessert, it came time to pay, and when the waiter asked if they wanted one or two checks, Marco said one, as he would pay, when Ace held a hand up. "Ah, no. I pay for mine, you for you." Marco blinked as he looked at Ace. He knew that was not a good sign, which was odd as he felt Ace had a good time. The waiter left to get two, and Marco looked at Ace. "Why two checks, yoi?" Ace hummed. "I am not a damsel who needs to be paid for. Which is why, this time, we split. If you still want to try and guess what my D stands for, you get at least 6 more dates, hopefully more. I've had a couple where my date pays for it, and gets mad when I don't want more dates and says I owe them. Which is why, next date, we split again, then we take turns. And one day, we have no idea which ones turn it is, and we decide it isn't important, who cares if we keep tabs. And that is since I am not looking for a one night stand or a quick fuck. I want more. I don't want any of us to feel obliged for anything by paying for the other on the first date. If both want to, we have more dates."
Marco smiled. Yeah, he really liked Ace. He was charming, he knew what he wanted, he was straight forward. Ace was amazing. He would try to figure out Ace's middle name. He hoped for many more dates, until they didn't meet only for dates, when they went on a date for a nice dinner that wasn't at one of their places. He hoped this would be a long lasting thing. When they had paid, they left the restaurant. As they were outside, Ace looked at him. "So, what do you say to more dates?" Marco hummed. "I for sure wouldn't mind that, yoi. And I do need to try and guess your middle name. I love challenges. And I want to get to know you more as well." Ace hummed. "Well, I could tell you more about me, but then I might have to kill you." Marco hummed. "Well, that is a chance I have to take then, yoi." Ace smiled. "I have a feeling this might be the start of something nice." Marco smiled as well. "I sure hope so, yoi."
Ace then went to the parking valet and showed a ticket he had, and the valet said the car would soon be here. Ace then looked at him. "Do you have a ride home?" Marco hummed. "Izou promised to pick me up after he did some shopping, yoi. I am going to the shopping center until he is close by." Ace nodded. "Sounds good. I would have loved to join, but I promised Luffy and Sabo I would be home before 10:30 pm, maybe next time." Marco nodded, that sounded good. A car then came, which was a deep red Alfa Romeo SUV, and Marco looked at Ace. "An Alfa Romeo, yoi? I was sure you would have a ferrari or mustang." Ace hummed. "Nah, my ferrari purosangue is behind all my porsche, mustang, and jaguars. But this Alfa Romeo feels the best to drive. The ferrari is a bit… lacking in comfort."
Marco blinked. "Are you joking, yoi? Do you have all that? I've never driven a supercar." Ace shrugged. "A super car is very overrated. Yes, it is cool for like an hour, but besides that it's just cool to show off. People often want to take pictures with it and pretend it is theirs. I like to scare them. But I want comfort over looks. And this is much better." Marco nodded. "Never driven a supercar or even an Alfa Romeo, yoi. The best was a porsche." Ace hummed. "When would Izou get you?" Marco blinked and looked at his phone. "Maybe in half an hour, yoi. Why?" Ace looked at his phone. "It is just past 8:30 pm, I can make it home in half an hour. So…" Ace took the car keys from the valet driver and held them out to him. "Want to take it for a spin?" Marco blinked. "I can, yoi? Isn't it an expensive car? And I had a glass of wine." Ace hummed. "You had a glass over an hour ago, a small glass. And what is a few hundred thousand now and then?" Marco blinked, not sure what to say.
Ace hummed. "But if you're too scared, I can always just-" Marco moved and took the car keys. "If you insist, yoi." Ace smiled. "I do. I know the owner of a private runway for small and medium planes. What do you say we head there? I can drive there, they need ID to enter." Marco nodded and handed the keys back.
They then drove, and when they got there and got into the runway they changed places so Marco was behind the wheel. He tried to drive a bit and it was amazing how fast the car went, how easy it was to get more speed and it just felt amazing. After a few seconds, Ace gave a breath. "You're doing it all wrong, Marco." Marco blinked. "What? Am I clutching wrong? I usually drive manual. Am I going too fast?" Ace hummed. "Switch to gear 6." Marco blinked and did, needing to go a bit faster. And when he had, Ace moved himself a bit as he spoke. "A thing with this car, there isn't a wall between our legs, which makes this easier. What you need to do is THIS!" Said Ace as he moved his leg on this foot to Marco's on the speed pedal and floored it, making the engine roar as they sped up incredibly fast. He looked at the speedometer and saw they were nearing 190 mph, and they were also nearing the end of the runaway. "Ace! We need to slow down!" He was about to press the brakes, when Ace yelled "Clutch!" Marco blinked, no idea what to do as he felt his heart racing and panic as this was going way too fast.
As he didn't react, Ace yelled to clutch again even louder, which had Marco do it, and then Ace grabbed the wheel and turned it as hard as he could, making the tires screech as they turned around so fast, Marco felt so out of control, when Ace grabbed the gearshift and changed gears, before he yelled to release the clutch, which he did, and Ace moved his foot and floored the gas pedal once again, making them go from spinning to go forward at amazing speed, before Ace yelled to clutch again, and he did, and Ace grabbed the wheel and they spun again, before Ace told to break, which he did, and he was sure it was over, when Ace told to clutch, he did and Ace changed the gear to reverse, and then told him to release the clutch, before Ace floored the gas again and they were off in reverse, going so fast backwards. When Ace grabbed the wheel and spun the car again and told him to clutch and brake a bit, they were soon out of the spin in full speed straight forward. And Ace yelled to clutch and break and they came to a halt sideways as Ace had grabbed the wheel.
When they were still, Marco was panting, full of panic and adrenaline. Ace then laughed. "That's how you drive on a runway!" Marco blinked, feeling himself breathing fast and hands shaking, Ace looking at him. "Your turn. Without my help. Are you up for it?" Marco looked at his hands, them shaking. "That was so… terrifying and awesome, yoi." Ace nodded. "And guess what? Even more awesome when you do the driving alone. Have fun." Marco looked at Ace, who had a huge smile and bright eyes, and Marco nodded, grabbing the wheel tight to keep his hands from shaking. "Fasten your seatbelt, yoi." Ace smiled. "Now we're talking. If you're going under 160, you're doing it wrong." Marco nodded and took a breath, before he sped up. As they neared the end, Ace said what to do, and Marco did. It wasn't as smooth and fast as Ace did it, but still felt breathtaking and the adrenaline rush was amazing. They did play scream as they went, before it was over and Ace said what to do better next time, which went better.
Then Ace said to try it in reverse. Which he did and that was so cool as well. As he sped up again after turning to go forward, he saw Ace reaching for something in his jacket, which was on Ace's lap, but before he could speak, Ace held his phone up. "Oh, it's Izou." Ace then answered it and put it on speaker, so he could speak. "Hi, Izou." Izou spoke. "I am at the mall, where are y-" Ace then said loudly. "Spin around!" Marco blinked. "Wha-" Ace then yelled it, and he did, but as he was a bit distracted, he lost a bit of control and yelled a bit out, half playful and in fun, before they went fast again and he heard Izou speak. "What are you doing?! What is happening! Are you okay!" Marco laughed. "Izou! I am going on a small runway at 190 miles, yoi! I spin and drift and turn! You need to try this!" Marco then spun the car again, making the tires screech and Ace playfully screaming and laughing, before he went forward again. This was so fun!
Ace then looked at the phone. "We're at the small runway a bit away, the Epp runway! Tell the guard by the gate you're here for Portgas D Ace! Come have fun!" Marco then spun the car again and Ace playfully screamed and laughed, before he hung up. They then had more fun, and after a bit, he saw another car at the end of the runway and sped up to get there, and Ace told how to come to a halt while spinning and sliding sideways, and Marco did his best, him and Ace playfully screaming as they did, before they stopped, a bit past Izou, who stood shocked. When they stopped, Ace laughed and moved his window down and his body half out. "Want to try?" Izou blinked. "I- I- I thought you were on a date, Marco!" Marco hadn't told anyone it was a date with Ace. Ace laughed. "We finished dinner and dessert, now we're having fun in my car! Want to try?" Izou blinked. "You could die!" Ace laughed. "Which is why you need to do your best before you die, and make the most of it. I don't want to miss out on things I might love because I might die. Want to try? It is so much fun." Izou blinked. "M-maybe next time." Ace nodded and got out of the car, and Marco did the same.
When they were out, Marco still felt full of adrenaline and the smile on his face hurt his cheeks. This has been so much fun. When he was out, Ace looked at him. "You're a natural at this. Have a good evening, send me your times when you are available for our next date." Ace then went up and gave him a kiss on the cheek, before he went to the driver's seat. But as he got in, he gave a playful look to Marco. "And next time, you can try out my plane. It's a light aircraft, and I can have it ready here." Ace then looked at Izou. "Good to see you, Izou. Have a good evening." Ace then got into his car and drove off, when he got to the road, he sped up, before he turned and drifted into the right lane and went off.
As he was gone, he looked at Izou, who stood shocked, mouth hanging open, before he looked at him. "Was your date with Ace! Are you insane! He is dangerous! And what the Hell were you doing driving that fast!?" Marco hummed. "No speed limit here. And you've told me to not ask about your lovelife, so I would appreciate it if you didn't as well, yoi." Izou didn't want to discuss his dating life, so Marco wouldn't as well. Izou blinked, realizing he was right. Then they got into the car, and when they drove back home, Izou spoke. "Did you… have fun? Will there be a second date?" Marco hummed. "I hope so, yes. And I think it will be, yoi." Izou nodded, and Marco could see that he wanted to ask a lot more questions, but he wouldn't, not right now.
Marco had a smile on his face the entire way home, and when they did get home, he went inside his office to do a few things. As he was working, Pops came by seeing the door being open. "How was the date, son?" Marco looked up and still felt he had a smile. "I had a great time, yoi. I drove a car at 190 miles per hour down a runway and learned to drift and that. And on the next date, I might get to fly a plane." Pops blinked. "Is this… a joke?" Marco shook his head and couldn't help but give a laugh. "No. I really did drive that fast, yoi. And I might get to fly a plane." When he had spoken, he couldn't help but laugh a bit more as he had a smile.
Pops blinked, before he smiled. "Sounds like you had fun, son." Marco nodded. "So much fun. Best date ever." Pops nodded. "Good." Pops was about to head on, when Marco spoke. "Also, Izou knows the date was with Ace, yoi. He might be panicking." Pops nodded. "I will handle it." Marco nodded and gave a smile. "Thank you, Pops." Pops looked at him. "If one date makes you this happy, I hope you get many more." Marco smiled, he hoped for the same. Marco had a great time today.
