Konohamaru frowned as he heard the news.
"And you're sure of this?"
Tsume nodded, frowning as she looked out in the distance. The flatlands were dreary, as if they had been drained.
"Yeah...the trail ends here. Too much rain. But it's clear where he went."
"The Land of Rain," Shikamaru stated, a frown on his face. "Why would Naruto head there?"
"There were other scents on the battlefield. Maybe he was defeated and taken here," Tsume suggested.
"Does Rain even have the manpower to do that? Sure, their kage is well respected but other than him they shouldn't have anyone capable of standing up to Naruto."
"Even with that," came the call from Sakura. "I find the rumors of the Amekage's strength somewhat hard to believe. Naruto is a Kage-level shinobi himself."
"I mean the Sage Priests all respect the Amekage. Call him The Chosen One and The Second Coming. If he doesn't have the Eye of Samsara, he definitely has something that made them and all the other kage respect him," Tsume countered.
"There were also multiple scents," Sai interjected. "It's not impossible that the traitor managed to be defeated by superior numbers."
"Superior numbers isn't really a strategy that works against Naruto unless they're all at least S-rank or higher," Sasuke interjected.
"Then would our mission not be destined to fail regardless?"
"Let's ignore that for now," Tsume mentioned. "It doesn't matter if Naruto was taken or if he went to Ame of his own free will. He's there now. How do we handle this? Any misstep and we're creating an international incident. One that puts another village in play to attack Konoha."
Shikamaru frowned. "The way I see it we send a report to the Hokage and await further orders. We don't have the authority to make a decision like this and potentially cause an international incident. This many forces getting sent into a foreign nation will be viewed as an act of war, targeting a traitor or not."
"But he could escape," Sai stated plainly. "Are you really willing to risk that again? It took Konoha a large number of resources and time to find him again. This is the best bet we will have any time soon. I suggest we move forwards with the mission instead."
Konohamaru weighed the advice of the two, a quizzical look on his face. Both of them raised good points. Did he risk an international incident, all for the sake of capturing Naruto before he disappeared again? Or did he wait for the Hokage's backing to do so, and potentially create a political circumstance Konoha could enter Ame's lands without it being viewed as an act of war? That would be timely. Time that a shinobi like Naruto could use to escape, especially if he kept up his erratic movement patterns. Besides, they didn't even know if Naruto was being held in Ame. If he was the Amekage would never allow Konoha to search their lands. They would probably want to extract the Kyuubi for military might to create a Jinchuriki or brainwash Naruto into serving them. They might not let Konoha investigate Ame even if he wasn't. That chance wasn't solid. But going in now was.
Konohamaru bit his lip, his eyes hardening.
"Order the ANBU to fall back. All of them are to go back to Konohagakure and tell the Hokage the situation. Await further orders. As for us, we enter Rain under a Henge (Transformation Jutsu). We are not to engage with Ame shinobi unless we have been attacked. Our goal is purely to do reconnaissance. Find Naruto and observe where he goes. If he doesn't flee, we'll have a report and be waiting for the Hokage's future orders. If he does flee, we will be able to track him. Clear?"
"This is dangerous Konohamaru," Shikamaru interjected. "We have no idea what Ame is capable of. If they managed to capture and track Naruto, they can do the same to us. And sending away that many shinobi would leave us even more vulnerable."
"And keeping them here would be a surefire way to open up another frontier in the war," Konohamaru countered.
"So is us going in without Ame's approval! That's why we should retreat. We can find Naruto again. We already did it once."
"That was when he wasn't on guard."
"Someone found him in Hacho Village."
"Enough," Sakura interjected. The pink haired kunoichi glanced at Shikamaru, a soft smile forming on her face. "I understand your fears. I agree with them even. But orders are orders. If the mission gets to dangerous, we all will retreat. That seem like a fair compromise to you?"
Shikamaru and Konohamaru glanced at each other, both reluctantly nodding. Sakura nodded.
"Then let's tell the ANBU and get moving then shall we?"
The group nodded.
Naruto stretched before he sat down on the chair. He groaned as he settled into it, a small smile resting on his face.
"Really Naruto?"
Naruto opened one of his closed eyes, smirking at Fuka. The woman rolled her eyes, continuing to wave off Ashino.
"Hey, ojisan I still get to show you around Ame some more tomorrow right," Ashino questioned, desperate to fight off his mother. Naruto nodded, a soft hum coming from his mouth. Ashino smiled.
"You promise?"
"It's a promise Ashino."
"Yay!"
Fuka groaned, picking up the redhead and placing him on her shoulders to stop his resisting.
"That's great, but you're not showing him around anywhere if you don't get your rest in. You need your beauty sleep."
"You need it more than I do Kaa-chan."
"Excuse me!"
The woman carried Ashino off to his room, the small child unleashing screams of terror in the process. Nagato let out a small laugh as he saw his son be carried off.
"That boy's mouth is going to get him in some serious trouble."
"He probably gets it from Fuka," Naruto stated plainly.
"He's right you know," Yahiko stated, raising his cup of tea in agreement.
"Like you're a better influence," Nagato stated plainly.
"What are you talking about? I'm an angel."
"Send me to hell then," Naruto stated plainly.
"Room for one more," Nagato questioned.
"Hate you both."
"You hate little old me," Nagato stated, feigning hurt. "But if it weren't for me, you and Konan wouldn't be married. How could one hate the person responsible for being married to the love of their life?"
"Don't take credit for that."
"But it's true."
"What's the story with that?"
"Yahiko here is about as thick as a doornail, and twice as dense as a black hole. He didn't know Konan liked him until he was practically a fully grown adult! And even then, it was only because I told him."
"Hey! I would have noticed eventually."
"Please. She could have outright told you she was madly in love with you, and you'd have smiled and called her a friend. Your understanding of a woman's feelings is horrible."
"Blame Jiraiya-sensei."
"Jiraiya-sensei noticed when we were kids, you can't pin this on him."
"Did everyone know but me?"
"I've only known you since you were together," Fuka stated, appearing from the hallway that led to Ashino's room. "But if I hadn't been told you were together by Nagato it would have been difficult to know given how bad you were with women when you started dating."
"Not you too," Yahiko cried out.
"Not that Nagato was much better," Fuka stated, sitting down on the couch next to her husband. "He was only slightly better than you, if that's any consolation prize."
"I resent that."
"I'm sure you do honey, but it's true."
Naruto chuckled at the interaction, shaking his head. "And here I thought I was the only dense one."
"Oh, you were like that too," Nagato questioned. Naruto smiled, nodding.
"Yeah, Hinata had to ask me to be my girlfriend. She suggested to me that we should get married for months before demanding that I ask her."
"You sound worse than either of us," Yahiko muttered.
"Maybe it's a thing with men in general," Fuka pondered.
"What about Ero-Sennin?"
"Never met...Jiraiya...is that your name for him?"
"Yup."
"It's surprisingly accurate," Yahiko and Nagato stated plainly.
Fuka raised an eyebrow. "Well...regardless...never met him. But if what Nagato tells me about the man is true, he was horrible with women as well."
All three men hung their heads at their failure to protect their status. Fuka shrugged. It wasn't her fault they sucked with women. They should pay more attention. She turned to look at Naruto in particular, her eyes filled with curiosity.
"So, cousin, how are you finding Ame?"
Naruto looked up from his defeated posture, his eyes locking with Fuka's for a moment. "Honestly, it's...fun. In a strange sort of way. I never expected to have enjoyed myself so much here. It's...nice."
"I'm happy to hear that," Nagato stated. "This is only the beginning. Soon we'll get the entire remnants of the Uzumaki Clan here!"
"Do you even know how many are still out there," Yahiko questioned. "I'm sure some survivors changed their names. Uzumaki isn't a common one."
Nagato frowned. Yahiko quickly realized how crass he sounded and raised his arms.
"Look, I don't want to rain on your parade at all. I know how important this is to you. I want you to find them all as well, and I'll help any way I can with that. But how do you plan on finding them?"
Nagato was silent. He didn't truly have an answer. Fuka and Karin had come to him, and Naruto was known around the continent. They were the easiest members to find. The rest, if others even existed, would be incredibly difficult to find.
"We could start at the ruins of Uzushio," Fuka stated. "They're the best place we have that can lead us to where to go next. Besides, everyone here should visit anyway. Especially Ashino. He should look at what his ancestors built."
"That's a good idea."
"There's also Uzushio's allies," Naruto interjected. "My mother went to Konoha before Uzushio was destroyed, but it wasn't long before. And it was because Konoha and Uzushio were allies. I'm sure there are other Uzumaki hiding away in Uzushio's former allies or in neighboring countries. They might be using a different name though."
"That's a good idea," Yahiko stated. "Fuka and Karin migrated cause of war. There's no reason any other Uzumaki couldn't have done the same."
"But how would we draw them out," Naruto muttered. "I doubt they'd simply come because of us announcing our presence. Doing that brings about other problems like retaliation from Kiri. And we can't go about harassing every person we see with red hair."
"Well, there are some things we could look out for," Fuka stated plainly. "There were a couple Kekkei Genkai in Uzushio that got passed down."
Naruto stared at the woman for a moment, glancing at Nagato briefly before annoyance flashed in his eyes. Fuka was taken aback by the intensity of the stare only for Nagato to rest a hand on her shoulder.
"Naruto has a...resentment...for Kekkei Genkai users."
"Everybody just gets bullshit birthright powers but me, literally what the fuck is this?"
"Ah, well you still do have our clan's large chakra reserves? That's somewhat like a Kekkei Genkai? Besides, there were only two known Kekkei Genkai we had access too."
"And one of them is his bullshit eyes?"
"Actually no," Fuka stated. "I have no idea how Nagato got his eyes. The Rinnegan is not in any of our records."
"It's something we're still confused about to be honest," Yahiko added.
"Okay," Naruto stated, dragging out the word. "What are these mystical powers that apparently I never got because the Sage hates me?"
Fuka gave a short laugh, shaking her head at the blonde's frustration.
"Well, there's the Kagura Shingan (Mind's Eye of the Kagura). It's a sensory Kekkei Genkai, and it's quite unstable. Even in the Uzumaki Clan not every person was able to use it. Usually just the descendants of the Clan Head."
"So, you can use it?"
Fuka shook her head. "Afraid not. Skipped me. I'm curious if Ashino has access to it, but he's far too young to handle the intensity of the technique. It's the most powerful sensory Kekkei Genkai in existence, even more powerful than any of Konoha's famed dojutsu."
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "I'd have to see it to believe it I'm afraid."
"I don't blame you. But unlike you I have seen it in action. The range on it, and the detail you can analyze targets is far more than anything I've heard of a Hyuga doing. One could even deduce the exact chakra nature of their opponent from miles out."
Naruto's eyes widened. If that was the case...that was indeed quite the powerful sensory Kekkei Genkai. Something far beyond what the Hyuga's were capable of. It was something unheard of. Even if he ignored the distance, miles out was too vague a metric for him to get an accurate reading on, to be able to tell what chakra nature your opponent was, was completely impossible with any dojutsu Naruto had ever heard of. Even Nagato couldn't do that...he thought.
"It also allows you to hear people talking about your abilities from the other house," came a voice. The quartet turned to see Karin smiling, walking towards them. The redheaded woman yawned, clearly exhausted. She was dressed in a night gown. She smoothly slid over to an empty chair and sat down.
"You can use it," Naruto questioned.
Karin nodded. "Yeah."
"Are you descended from the Clan Head then?"
"Not that Fuka or I are aware of no," Karin stated. "Frankly speaking we're not really sure why I have the ability either. Probably an ancestor of mine screwed a descendent of the Clan Head and here I am."
"Right. Even still, I find it hard to believe what you're is saying."
"A demonstration would be appreciated cousin," Fuka stated. "Naruto hasn't seen it action like we have."
Karin shrugged, closing her eyes. Naruto's eyes narrowed until he saw a small smile form on her face.
"Konan is on the other side of the village, in her house. Kisame is back in the tower, completely asleep. The idiot. Most of the villagers are inside their houses, although the...night life...is quite active. Yeah, definitely ignoring that."
"Forgive my skepticism, but those could be guesses," Naruto stated.
Karin smirked. "Tell me a lie. Something I wouldn't know."
"I was captured by Kirigakure shinobi at the age of fifteen and tortured."
"Lie, a rather obvious one. I wouldn't even need this for something like that. Something else."
Naruto frowned, thinking something more personal.
"I wanted two kids."
"Lie."
Naruto frowned; his eyes narrowed.
"You can tell when people are lying?"
Karin nodded. "I can tell a lot more than just that. For example, Fuka here is a Katon (Fire Release) user, same as Yahiko despite the fact that she's an Uzumaki. Her chakra is like magma. Hot, roaring, but controlled. Yahiko is like lava. Much the same, but completely out of control honestly."
"Rude."
"It's very similar to Kisame. Kisame is like the ocean. Vast, never ending. Hungry but...empty. Nagato is vast as well, but smaller. More polished. Controlled, refined. Almost regal. If Kisame is the ocean, Nagato is like the heavens. Serene, graceful. Peaceful. Powerful. Incomprehensible."
"You flatter me."
"And what about Naruto," Fuka asked. She smiled at her cousin. "What's his chakra like?"
Karin focused her attention on the blonde Uzumaki, the smirk dropping from her face.
"Dazzling. It's not bright...or warm. It's cold in fact. Frigid, but...warming? It's almost as vast as Kisame's. It's like two currents fighting each other, not sure of which way to go. A whirlpool that just goes down...and down..."
Karin's eyes snapped open; fear frozen on her face. Naruto's eyes narrowed. He had a guess as to what she had seen.
"What...what is that," the Uzumaki woman questioned. "It was so...so dark."
"The Kyuubi," Naruto stated. "That's what its chakra is like. I wouldn't recommend trying to search that deep on me again if you don't want to feel him. Although if you managed to sense him your sensory skills are no joke."
Karin frowned, nodding. She was still visibly rattled but seemed to be holding up well. She had never truly experienced a Bijuu's chakra before. It was a jarring feeling, feeling such hatred for your first time. Almost everyone froze when they felt it. Naruto couldn't blame the woman.
Fuka frowned, clearly noticing the sour mood now that Karin had sensed the hidden well of power that lay inside every Jinchuriki.
"Erhm, well...anyways. The other Kekkei Genkai is the Jiton (Magnet Release). I'm sure you've heard of it. Both Kumo, Suna, and Iwa shinobi have it as well."
Naruto nodded, he was well aware of the capabilities of the Jiton, although he had never fought a user of the Kekkei Genkai. It was strange how despite Kiri's close proximity to Uzushio they did not have the Jiton in their recorded history, at least that he knew. But, with the two villages always having been at odds it was not entirely surprising if it originated in the Uzumaki's it would not have been passed down to any Kiri shinobi. Shinobi were more likely to kill themselves than be used as a testing subject or bred to allow their enemies to gain new Kekkei Genkai. That didn't mean other villages did not try.
Kekkei Genkai were powerful weapons after all.
"I see. So, if we can find someone who can demonstrate any of these abilities..."
"The likelihood that they're an Uzumaki increases."
"Well, that's great, but it still doesn't answer how to make these people known to us, or how to get them to activate their Kekkei Genkai in the first place. Kiri hunted down almost the entire clan," Yahiko interjected.
The room was silent as to an answer. There was not one. There was no definitive way to find out who was an Uzumaki and who was not. It would in large part be due to luck. Fuka smiled.
"Perhaps, but there's the Uzumaki family tree back in Uzushio. Kiri wouldn't have been able to destroy it. It's the best starting place we can use."
Both Uzumaki men in the room turned to look at her, shock on their faces.
"There is such a thing," Nagato inquired. Fuka smirked.
"You all have some history to learn. How about we start preparing a trip to go to Uzushio tomorrow. Get everything in order for Yahiko and Konan to run things while we're gone."
"I think I'll have to take you up on that offer after this baby comes out of me," Karin stated, smiling. Fuka smirked, nodding her head
"Sounds like a plan," Yahiko stated, grinning.
"Home," Nagato whispered. "Our true home."
Naruto was silent, listening to the words of the Rinnegan bearer. His eyes were clouded.
'Home.'
A flash of luscious green trees filled his mind.
'Home.'
Naruto groaned as Ashino dragged him to another park in Ame. The sun was shining, courtesy of Nagato acquiescing to Ashino's requests, demands, to have a sunny day when he got to hang out with his uncle. The child was really just using this as an excuse to hang out with Naruto and force him to play with him at the local parks. The blonde was sure he had gotten some looks from other parents wondering why he was with the young child of their kage instead of Fuka, Nagato, or even Yahiko. Any of them made more sense than some blonde few in the city knew. But strange looks were all he had received. They still knew who he was, so they knew Ashino was in no danger.
"Hey ojisan, you can fly right?"
Naruto blinked, looking at Ashino.
"Yes, I can."
"That's cool. Obasan can fly too with her wings. Can you teach me how to fly?"
Naruto was briefly confused but put two and two together to realize he was talking about Konan.
"I suppose. I'm not entirely sure to be honest. Konan and I fly in two entirely different ways. The method I could teach would require an extreme level of control over Futon (Wind Release) chakra, if not an outright nature for it. Do you know what your chakra nature is?"
The small child shook his head, causing Naruto to frown.
"Well, until you know that it's gonna be kinda hard for me to teach you how to fly."
"Can't you teach me what elemental nature I am?"
"Do you have chakra paper?"
"What's that?"
"Yeah, when you learn what that is I'll teach you your nature alright? If it's one that's compatible with mine, I'll teach you how to fly."
"Really? You mean it ojisan!"
"Yes Ashino."
"Alright!"
The child leapt into the air, the smile on his face shining. Naruto had a feeling he was going to regret that decision. If he knew Ashino like he thought he did the first thing the child would do would be to ask Fuka, Yahiko, or Nagato what chakra paper was. Of course, the likelihood of him being a Futon user was incredibly small anyway, although Naruto couldn't bury the small part of him that wanted the child to share his nature. If the genetic theory Sakura had taught him was correct, children were incredibly likely to inherit the natures of their parents, although it wasn't a guarantee. Minato was a Raiton (Lightning Release) nature and Kushina was a Suiton (Water Release) nature, and yet he was neither. Fuka was a Katon user, so that made it unlikely, but if Nagato was truly every nature he supposed the child had the ability to be any chakra nature. Or maybe he'd definitively be a Katon user because technically both of his parents were? Naruto felt himself fight the urge to smirk at the thought of Sakura trying to run all sorts of tests for theories about how the Rinnegan worked on a biological level and how it would impact Ashino's nature. Her brain worked a thousand miles an hour.
But she wasn't here.
"Cute kid."
Naruto looked up, to see a tall man approach. The man was hefty, a soft smile on his face. Dark black hair flowed down his back. Naruto frowned.
"He's a little rambunctious."
"He reminds me of me when I was young," the man said laughing. The action caused his body to shake, creating a strange sound. "I was like that a lot with my older brother. He must mean a lot to you."
"Who are you?"
"Oh me? Name's Kamatsu. I'm a trader here in Ame. You should come stop by to see my shop! It's towards the outskirts of the city!"
"What do you sell ojisan?"
Naruto glanced at Ashino, frowning. The fat man smiled, getting down on one knee.
"I smell a bunch of toys and clothing! I'm sure you'd love it!"
"Oh, I wanna go! Can we go Naruto-ojisan?"
"I'll think about it."
"Amazing," the fat man stated, clapping his hands. "Now, I really must be going. If you don't mind."
Naruto watched the man leave; his eyes narrowed. Who was that man? How didn't he know who Ashino was? Everyone in Ame knew who Ashino was. If he was really a trader, he would have had to have been in the village for a long time. What exactly was going on here?
His suspicions were pushed to the side as Ashino pulled on his leg.
"Hey ojisan, let's go to another park!"
Naruto sighed.
"What the hell are you doing," the elderly woman hissed, with a voice that was far too youthful to be her own.
The fat man was silent, ignoring the verbal lashing he was getting from the woman.
"You were the one who said don't engage, and yet here you are talking with him as if you know the situation here. What is wrong with you?"
"This is why we shouldn't have come," said a well-dressed man in a suit. He was older, maybe a decade younger than the elderly woman.
"Enough," the fat man stated. "What's happened has happened. If there's one thing I know about him, is that he won't let something as suspicious as that lie. He'll come."
"How can you be sure he doesn't just report it to the Amekage?"
"Well, if he does then we'll just have to not be there then won't we?"
The elderly woman groaned, shaking her head. She felt like she was surrounded by idiots.
"And what happened to doing 'just reconnaissance'?"
"We know Naruto is here in Amekage, under his own free will. We can't send in some military force because that's a direct act of war. We have to sneak him out, and the only way to do that is to defeat him when he's unawares."
"You realize how risky this is right? From what we've been able to gather that child is the son of the Amekage."
"He's a political chip if they pressure us any further," came the call from a disabled man. A cloth was wrapped around his eyes, and he was using a white cane to tap the ground in front of him. "The perfect tool for Hokage-sama."
"Are you insane?"
"You're just trying to lead us into another war aren't you," the well-dressed man stated. He looked at the fat man, a frown on his face. "We need to leave. This situation here is far too risky."
"We're luring him out and that's final," the fat man stated. "Get ready."
"We're taking him down."
Naruto groaned as he was led towards the outskirts of the city. Why had he gone against his better judgement and let Ashino drag him out here to go see that man's shop? Everything in the fiber of his being told him it was a bad decision, but the child had been insistent. Maybe he was becoming soft. That would explain it. The child had him and Nagato wrapped around his finger. The only person who could fight off those stupid eyes was Fuka and Karin.
The blonde groaned as he saw Ashino rush into the only toy store in the area. Everything else was either run down apartments or restaurants. Naruto groaned, jogging in after him to see Ashino running throughout the store, a massive smile on his face. Naruto groaned, following after the child. The young Uzumaki was running around rambunctiously, knocking things over. It was only thanks to Naruto's quick reaction speeds that nothing hit the ground. As the blonde caught a stand and placed it back into place a voice came from behind him.
"He's an excitable one, isn't he?"
Naruto turned, surprised to see the fat man from before standing behind him. He hadn't felt him approach. How had he managed to sneak up on him so easily? That shouldn't have been possible for a civilian.
"Yes," Naruto stated. His tone was defensive, and his eyes quickly looked up and down Kamatsu's frame. It was...hefty. And Naruto couldn't hear that odd noise anymore.
"How long have you been here if I may ask," Kamatsu questioned as the duo watched Ashino run around the city. "I don't believe I've seen you around."
"A little more than three weeks. I'm new."
"Ah, well welcome to Amegakure! Happy you came! If I must be honest, I'm rather new myself. I've only been here for two months."
"Two months? But you've already created a store with this much merchandise. You must have been quite the proficient trader before settling in Amegakure."
"I was! I originally was from Iwa but migrated down not too long ago. The call for blood grew more intense after the news that Naruto Uzumaki was in the area became publicly known. It's not exactly good for business when everyone is buying goods related to the war effort rather than toys don't you think?"
Two people entered the store. An elderly woman and a slightly younger man who was assisting her. Kamatsu smiled.
"Ah, Irene and Leopal! Nice to see you. Looking for a gift for your grandson?"
The elderly couple smiled, nodding their heads as they walked around the store. Kamatsu smiled.
"So, you came here to flee the war effort? But Ame is a major village. It's going to be pulled into the war effort eventually."
"Perhaps," Kamatsu stated. "But there's always the chance that it doesn't. I mean it hasn't so far. Would it be great if it stayed like that? Besides, it's more industrialized than the other villages. Helps with the production of my toys!"
Naruto nodded, accepting the man's reasoning. But that didn't change the strange feeling he got from him. He couldn't place it, but something about this man...unnerved him. Just as he was pondering this another man came into the building, tapping idly along the floor with a white cane. The blonde frowned. Why would a blind man go to a toy store?
"Can I help you sir," Kamatsu exclaimed, rushing over to help the man.
The man smiled at Kamatsu's kindness. "Ah, yes I was hoping to know if I could use the restroom."
"Ah, right this way!"
"Ah I'll show him Kamatsu!"
The fat man and blind man turned to see a muscular woman enter the establishment. She had shiny blonde hair and angular features as she took the blind man by the arm.
"Found him on the street and led him here. You'll let him use the bathroom won't ya?"
"Of course, Rina. It's been a while since I've seen you. We should catch up over dinner tonight."
"Yeah yeah," the gruff woman stated, leading the blind man towards the back of the restaurant.
"You sure are popular," Naruto stated.
"I suppose I'm having good fortune today," the man stated. "Oh, Irene that toy is too much for Maharu! That's her grandson. He's a young kid, roughly five. He's birthday is coming up."
Naruto didn't respond, listening to Ashino call out to him from the other side of the store that he had apparently found a toy that he liked.
"Ah, he found a toy he likes. Wonderful."
The child ran up to Naruto, dashing around the elderly couple so as to not bump into them by accident. He ran up to Naruto, lifting his toy upwards.
"I want this one!"
Naruto knelt down to look at the toy, his eyes slowly narrowing. Chakra burned throughout his pathways, and he instantly realized the situation. The words that dripped from his mouth polluted the air. They were a warning.
"Where did you say you were from again?"
"Oh?"
The tone was different.
"Iwagakure, like I said."
Naruto's eyes narrowed. He grabbed the toy from Ashino's hands, the child frowning as the toy was taken. Naruto didn't care though, protectively using one arm to pull the child close to his body. He stood and turned, raising the toy to Kamatsu's face. It was a monkey, covered in white fur with a long mane that reached his back. A staff was held in the toy's hands, with an engraving.
'Monkey King Enma.'
The fat man smiled, but Naruto saw through it this time. It was sweet, too sweet.
"Ah, that? It's a toy I received from my travels. I believe a Konohagakure merchant had it on him and I thought it looked quite good."
Naruto dropped the toy to the ground, letting it clatter in the suddenly eerily quiet store.
"Ashino, we're leaving."
"What? But why? I wanna get more toys!"
"Ah yes, why disappoint the child? Surely there are other toys here that suit your fancy."
Naruto pulsed his chakra several times, desperate to shatter any genjutsu that had been placed on him. He didn't even bother responding to Kamatsu, instead slowly backing away from the man to put distance between the two. Kamatsu frowned, reaching out and taking a step forward only for Naruto to pull a kunai that was hidden in his sleeve. Kamatsu's eyes widened at the action.
"Now there's certainly no need for weapons, shinobi-san!"
"Agreed," came the call from behind Naruto. The blonde turned, surprising filling his eyes as he saw a tanto lash out towards his right eye. Instantly he ducked downwards, the blade cutting off tuffs from his hair. He snatched Ashino up and pushed. His legs shot out from the force, the ground exploding as his body flew through the ceiling of the building. He wasn't given much reprieve as he saw a twin pair of tornados shoot towards him. His eyes widened and he just barely managed to turn his body, so the tornados struck his back. He cried out, blood shooting from his mouth as he shot towards the ground. He skipped across it, careful to protect Ashino from coming into contact with the ground until they came to a complete stop. The child's screams were deafening.
"It's gonna be okay Ashino," Naruto stated, whirling to his feet. He pulled Ashino close, his eyes scanning wildly for threats. They came in the form of the twin tornados from before, but this time he was prepared. He leapt over the attack, pulling Ashino with him, only for two black and white tigers to leap out at him from his side. He grunted, barely dodging their attacks only for his body to freeze momentarily. That was all the time that was required for the tigers to snatch Ashino from his side until he managed to break through the temporary paralysis.
"Ashino!"
"Naruto-ojisan!"
Naruto was about to leap into action only for a familiar voice to ring out to him.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. Sai is perfectly fine with hurting the kid, although it's not in my interest."
Naruto turned, his eyes coldly staring upwards to see Kamatsu staring down at him. The man walked towards him, only for his body to fade away to reveal...
"Konohamaru," Naruto stated, shock in his voice.
"Surprised to see me," the Sarutobi stated. Thinly veiled rage was clear in his voice, and the anger in his eyes boiled over like a volcano. Sakura and Sasuke were standing at his side, although the kunoichi did not look particularly happy about the situation. To the sides of the blonde were Tsume Inuzuka, her ninken, and Shikamaru, each standing at the ready to react in case he tried anything. He tilted his head, seeing who he presumed to be Sai holding Ashino, a tanto placed at the child's neck. There was an expressionless look on his face. He was unreadable, as if he would slice Ashino's throat without a care in the world.
"What are you all doing here," Naruto questioned.
"Straight to business," Konohamaru questioned. "Come on now Naruto-nii? That's not how we do things right? What happened to taking our time to greet old friends?"
The Sarutobi looked at Ashino, a smile on his face.
"Did your ojisan ever tell you about me? I'm his brother, Ashino. From back home, from Konoha. He abandoned me. You gotta be careful with him. He might abandon you too now that your life could be forfeit."
Ashino shook his head.
"Naruto-ojisan would never! He's amazing! He wouldn't abandon anybody!"
"Oh really? Why do you think he's here then kid," Konohamaru roared out. "He was born in Konoha? Why would he be here, in Ame, if he didn't abandon his home?"
"Because of fam-"
"Enough!" Naruto roared. He couldn't allow Ashino to reveal the existence of other Uzumaki. He had flared out his chakra as he spoke, his voice booming over the distance. His chakra pulse had put Shikamaru and Tsume on guard, but neither had reacted.
"Let him go Konohamaru. He has nothing to do with this."
"Oh, but I think he does. I wanna know why you're with him and not with...well...us? You grew up with us after all. You lived in my house. Were on the same Genin team as Sasuke and Sakura here. Same generation as Shikamaru. Friends with Tsume's son. Why aren't we good enough for you but he is?"
"I never said you weren't good enough."
"Oh well what were you saying by staying in Ame? Revealing village secrets instead? Is that it, traitor?"
Naruto frowned; his body still tense.
"I haven't revealed anything about Konoha. If that's satisfactory for Danzo, know you can trust that and let him go."
"I'm afraid that's not possible," Konohamaru stated plainly. "After all, he's a good consolation prize. A guarantee that Ame won't retaliate if we have their kage's son."
"Konohamaru," Sakura interjected. "This-"
"Is what I've decided," he finished. "Now you're going to come with us Naruto, peacefully, back to Konoha. Understand?"
The blonde frowned, eyeing the forces around him. No ANBU from the looks of things. Just these six, but they had Ashino. It was a bad situation. He had to get the kid back first.
"And you're okay with this Sakura? Using hostages isn't your style."
Sakura frowned, looking at the ground. It was clear she wasn't a fan of it, but orders were orders. As long as the child wasn't grievously hurt, she wouldn't act against it. She vocalized as much.
"Orders are orders Naruto. We came here to bring you in, and you're willingly in another village's jurisdiction. We need some form of collateral if they threaten us."
"And your collateral would be a child?"
"If it gets the job done," Sasuke stated plainly. His eyes were already burning that familiar crimson. He was expecting a fight. His sword was drawn. Naruto snarled.
"Big talk coming from the guy I beat the shit out of last time we saw each other. No wonder you need collateral."
Sasuke raised his blade, rage filling his face. "I dare you to say that to my face."
"I'd love to, only I can't find your eyes behind that dandruff you call hair!"
Sasuke's eyes burned with rage, but the voice of Shikamaru rang out.
"Stop Sasuke. He's just trying to provoke you like he did last time. Ignore it."
Naruto turned; his eyes locked on the Nara. He had nothing to say to Shikamaru. Shikamaru didn't have anything to say to him. The two shinobi simply looked at each other. They both understood the situation. There would be no words between them. They held no animosity for the other. But they were on opposite sides. So, they had to fight. That much was clear.
"Cat got your tongue," Konohamaru interjected. "You didn't respond."
Naruto's eyes narrowed. "If I refuse?"
A small squeal from behind him was the response. He turned, watching as a thin trail of blood came down from Ashino's neck courtesy of Sai ever so slightly shifting his tanto. Konohamaru smirked.
"I think you know what happens if you refuse."
Naruto didn't respond to him, his eyes still locked on Sai. He resisted the pulsing darkness he felt in his body as he saw Ashino injured, but despite how hard he tried a flash of crimson ignited in his eyes and a vile chakra filled the air. It was quickly suppressed, but a cold sweat had filled the area. Sai and Naruto were the only two completely unaffected.
"Move that blade again...and I'll kill you."
"He won't kill him Naruto," Tsume called out. "There's no need for that. Just agree to the terms."
The blonde whirled, looking at Tsume.
"What if someone did this to Kiba? How would you feel Tsume?"
"Kiba is a grown shinobi. He knows the risks."
"Ashino is a child! Not a shinobi!"
"He's the son of the Amekage. He's a shinobi in all but name. Besides, I'd kill anyone who did this to him."
Naruto's lips curled upwards into a snarl, looking around at the six who had encircled him.
"Well," the blonde hissed. "You have that right."
Then he disappeared, moving at top speed instantly. Sai desperately tried to slit the young child's throat, only for his hand to be caught by Naruto's own. The Konoha forces were already in motion, desperate to stop the man but they were too far. Naruto roared, a bestial sound that erupted from his throat, just before he smashed his fist into Sai's stomach. The shinobi folded like paper, blood flying from his mouth and staining Naruto's arm before he flew backwards from the force. Naruto quickly turned, his staff appearing in hand as he saw Tsume, Kuromaru, and Konohamaru appear before him. He blocked their attacks with his staff, grunting under the force and weight of their claws and staff. Chakra flooded his legs as he prepared to force them away only for Sasuke to appear at his side, hands reaching out to grab Ashino.
"No!"
Naruto dropped his scythe and leapt for the child, ignoring the lacerations he felt forming on his skin from the claws of Tsume and Kuromaru, along with the blinding pain of Konohamaru's staff smash into his back. He reached the child just before Sasuke, leaping away in an instant as blood covered his body. Konohamaru grinned, kicking Naruto's staff over to Sakura who caught it. With a deft usage of fuinjutsu that staff was sealed in a scroll Sakura kept on her person.
"That's one obstacle down," Konohamaru stated as he watched Naruto stand. The blonde was bloody, but he could still fight. Ashino was pulled tight to his body, his eyes still looking between all of his opponents, never letting any of them get into a blind spot. Konohamaru smirked. This was going better than expected. All because of that child. The blonde had even lost his weapon.
"You know Naruto I gotta ask," Konohamaru began. "What's the kid to you? Sorry if I can't see you randomly getting attached to the child of the Amekage."
"None of your business," Naruto ground out, his eyes locking with Konohamaru's. The Sarutobi shrugged.
"Guess it doesn't really matter to me."
The young man shot forwards; his foot angled at Naruto's face only for the blonde to block it with his forearm. Konohamaru grunted, twisting his pivot foot. His leg angled upwards, and he hooked Naruto's arm, pulling it forwards as his leg shot down. He roared as his punch shot towards the blonde's face only for Naruto to tilt his head and avoid the assault. The blonde smashed his hand on the ground, his legs swinging upwards for his knee to smash into Konohamaru's nose. The Sarutobi stumbled backwards, grabbing at his face and grunting. He lowered his hand, his eyes filled with rage that was almost as hot from the blood leaking from his nostrils. Naruto snarled in response before he pulled Ashino close once more. He was in a precarious situation. He couldn't fight all of them at the same time and protect Ashino. He had to get him to safety. That was priority number one. Part of that was hoping that someone got his signal. That required stalling.
"What happened to you Konohamaru? Hiruzen didn't raise us to do this. Take hostages? Children hostages especially? Provoke other villages for no reason?"
"How dare you," Konohamaru hissed. "How dare you mention jiji after what you did? You left us. Left Konoha. You're the reason he's dead."
"That isn't true Konoha-"
"Damn well it is," the Sarutobi roared. He was belligerent. "If you had simply stayed and done your job he wouldn't have gone to the front lines. He wouldn't have fought in Suna, a battle he had no business participating in, especially at his age. If you had simply been there, he would be alive. You would have fought the Ichibi, and not him."
"The Ichibi..." Naruto whispered. His eyes widened in horror. "Hiruzen fought a Jinchuriki! He's way too old for that! The best bet against Jinchuriki after I left would have been Itachi!"
"We shouldn't have had to rely on Itachi, because you should have been there. But you were selfish. The exact opposite of what jiji taught us to be. You left the village and everyone inside it who depended on you for dead. You didn't care about how they would feel by your abandonment. You didn't care about the problems it would cause. So don't you dare act like you get to care now."
Naruto's eyes were wide, shocked at the revelation from the Sarutobi. The Konoha shinobi had rejoined them, Sai included, and surrounded the blonde.
"There's no way out Naruto," Konohamaru stated as he gestured to his surrounding forces. "Give up."
Naruto frowned, looking around. Silently he formed two clones. One took the young Uzumaki while the other two drew kunai in each of their hands.
"You don't want to do this Naruto," Sakura stated. "Just come peacefully, please."
"He tried to kill Ashino Sakura," Naruto stated. His eyes locked on the form of Sai, the man holding a tanto in front of him defensively. "If one person has to die today, it's him."
"Even if you kill him what comes next Naruto," Shikamaru interjected. "That doesn't protect the kid. The best bet you have is to just come with us. He won't be hurt if that happens. Don't value your freedom over his life."
"Like I said before Shikamaru," Sasuke interjected. The raven-haired Uchiha raised his blade to point it at the Uzumaki. "He values his freedom more than anything or anyone."
Naruto looked at Sasuke, his eyes cold and hollow. The Uchiha sneered back. Naruto glanced back at Ashino, the fear palpable on the child's face. He was completely terrified. He had never seen combat like this. He was too young to. He had to protect him.
"No," Naruto stated. "Not Ashino."
The blonde glared upwards at Konohamaru.
"Promise me you won't hurt him."
"You have my word."
Naruto frowned before he slowly lowered his hands. He held them forwards, a frown on his face. Konohamaru smirked smugly, walking forwards and pulling out a pair of handcuffs with strange sealing matrixes on them. He slapped them on Naruto's wrists and the blonde felt his chakra network be suppressed.
"Good choice."
Konohamaru looked at the surrounding group, a smirk on his face.
"Mission complete, let's move out."
Naruto could do nothing as they dragged him and Ashino away, the child kicking and screaming as Sakura picked him up, trying to restrain him as gently as she could.
"No! Let me go! Kaa-chan! Tou-chan!"
"It's gonna be okay," Naruto assured him. He kept repeating the phrase over and over, but it wasn't working. Ashino just got louder and louder. Naruto couldn't blame him. He couldn't exactly believe the words himself.
'Karin,' he thought. 'I really need you right now.'
Karin groaned as she placed the book on the desk in front of her. She just couldn't do it. The music wasn't coming to her. Playing the piano felt like she was fighting the world right now. The red haired Uzumaki stretched before she stood, looking around. She just couldn't fight the feeling that something was off, and it was annoying her to no end. She tried everything, from stretching to basic shinobi workouts, to cooking, nothing seemed to be working. She finally through the halfway cooked food in the trash, realizing it wasn't working. It was a waste of food, but she would have to be chewed out by Kamino later. She needed something to take her mind off things. Eventually the woman sat down, frowning. She closed her eyes, trying to fall asleep as the chair she was in reclined. Out of force of habit she flared her chakra outwards, only for her eyes to widen.
'What the hell? Why is Naruto's chakra spiking that much around Ashino? And...those chakra signatures...they're too large to be Ame shinobi.'
The woman's eyes narrowed as she suddenly felt Naruto's chakra signature completely disappear, like it had simply left the planet. She could still sense Ashino and the six other abnormally large chakra signatures quickly leaving Amegakure. She frowned, her eyes snapping open.
'Something's wrong.'
The Uzumaki burst out of her house, not even bothering to lock the door as she dashed towards the main tower. She wasn't too far, but she would have to work overtime to make it there before they lost the trail. Nagato had to know. Something was wrong. Something was very wrong.
"And that's why you should-"
Nagato's head snapped as the massive boom of the door smashing against the walls as they were shoved open interrupted his speech. Konan and Yahiko also turned their heads, along with several of the railroad magnates in the room.
"Karin," Nagato questioned. "What is the meaning of this?"
"Naruto and Ashino are in danger!"
The three shinobi in the room all perked up at that, their eyes narrowing.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm not sure," Karin stated. "But I sensed them surrounded by six high chakra signatures, too high. One was S-class. Then Naruto's chakra signature completely vanished. They're moving away from Ame as we speak!"
Nagato's eyes glowed with power and a heavy weight settled on the room. For a brief moment no one in the room was able to breath outside of the wielder of the Samsara. His eyes snapped to Yahiko and Konan.
"Yahiko, get Kisame and follow us. Konan take me there. Karin, you're coming with us. Lead the way."
The Uzumaki's tone left no room for debate, even the railroad magnate's felt fear to speak up in this situation. They wereregular civilians, completely unused to this sort of pressure. Most of them had already fainted. Nagato turned to the one that was still conscious.
"Forgive me Haramatsu-san. This will have to be postponed."
The man gave the briefest of nods, barely able to move in Nagato's presence much less speak. Then the presence vanished. Yahiko shot into motion, running out of the room while Konan's wings sprouted. Nagato pointed at a nearby wall with his hands and then his chakra surged. The wall exploded outwards. The smoke from the rubble filled the sky. Konan reached out, grabbing both Karin and Nagato before she took off into the air, bursting through the hole that Nagato had made.
"Where to?"
Karin pointed.
"There! Towards Konoha."
The paper woman burst forwards; her eyes focused. In her hands she held Nagato, his eyes glowing with power and barely restrained rage. His chakra was barely constrained but when Karin closed her eyes, she could feel it. It was no longer like the heavens.
It was like hell.
Konohamaru grunted as his group continued their path towards Konoha. They were closing in on the border now. It had taken them days to reach Amegakure once they reached the border, courtesy of being forced to travel like civilians. The ability to sprint out of the country like shinobi was an added benefit. It was risky that they might be detected by any sensors nearby, but the risk of getting caught with the Amekage's son was far worse. Besides, to their knowledge Amegakure didn't have many good sensory shinobi. If they didn't get caught the mission was a massive success. They had recaptured Naruto and they had a political bargaining chip in the Amekage's son. Danzo would be very happy with the result. Or at least he'd better be, because Konohamaru wasn't happy right now.
"Can you please put him under a genjutsu?"
"He's been through enough," Sakura countered.
"He won't stop crying."
"He might bring more attention to us Sakura," Shikamaru called out. "It's really best to just put him in a genjutsu."
The pink haired kunoichi frowned, looking back at Ashino in her arms. The child was terrified, tears streaming down his face. Snot bubbled down his nose onto her hands and his mouth. If she wasn't used to all types of bodily fluids getting onto her, she would have been disgusted. The sight was pitiful. Perhaps Shikamaru was right. This seemed much more like torturing the poor child than keeping him awake. With a sigh she formed a tiger seal before quickly tapping Ashino's head. The child's eyelids flickered, causing the girl's eyes to widen. Was he resisting her genjutsu? How advanced was the child? Then, not long after his eyes closed, and he went limp in her arms. She raised an eyebrow but continued on her path.
She heard a grunt coming from behind her, one that clearly vocalized disapproval. She glanced from the side of her eye to see Naruto frowning as he was carried by Kuromaru. The blonde couldn't keep pace with the rest of the group using his natural strength while they were using their chakra, so they opted to carry him like this to increase their travel speed.
"Anything you'd like to say traitor," Sasuke spat caustically. Naruto seemed to ignore the sarcasm in the remark and opted to reply regardless.
"Just that if you took these chakra suppressors off me I'd kick your ass without using a single jutsu."
"I'd like to see you try."
"Take 'em off me then. I'll even give you a free hit."
Sasuke turned to glare at the Uzumaki, his movement only slowing slightly to stare at target of their mission.
"Who do you think you are Naruto," Sasuke yelled. "You're a traitor. You suffered loss and the first thing you did was run away from it. Someone like that isn't stronger than me. No, I refuse to believe it. I'm made of tougher stuff than you are. You're nothing."
"Who have you lost Sasuke," Naruto stated plainly. "Who? Your family is still alive and, luckily for you, your parents didn't die the day you were born. Shisui is still alive too, and even in good enough mental state to fight in the war. I would ask if any significant other of yours died, but we all know you don't have one because of your insufferable personality. For a guy who was so wanted by kunoichi of our year, it's really quite a shame you've never had a girlfriend. I mean you fucked it up with Sakura and Ino. Quite impressive. So, Mr. 'My family is alive, and I have no love to mourn', tell me exactly who you've lost to understand even a modicum of how I feel?"
Sasuke bit his bottom lip, unable to respond to Naruto's scathing remarks. Luckily for him he didn't have to.
"Jiji," Konohamaru stated, although he did not look at either the Uchiha or the Uzumaki. His eyes remained forwards. "I lost Jiji."
Naruto stared at Konohamaru, a frown on his face.
"Kono-"
"Shut up," Konohamaru stated angrily. "I don't wanna hear anything from you."
Naruto was silent in response. For once it seemed like someone's words actually stuck with him. The entire group continued on in somber silence for about an hour until Tsume called out.
"Konohamaru. I just lost a scent I was trailing. We're probably going upwind now."
"It shouldn't be a problem. Do you think we're being trailed?"
"Couldn't be sure. The smell was odd, like...freshly cut paper. It certainly didn't smell human. Just odd to have that smell in Ame of all places."
"Hm. Stay on guard for now. We're only another hour out until we reach the border and from there, we're practically home free. We'll head to the nearest fort immediately and rest there."
The call from his nearby shinobi was unanimous.
"Copy!"
Naruto meanwhile concealed the slight sense of security he was beginning to feel. Freshly cut paper? There was one kunoichi who he knew smelled like that. Perhaps Karin was paying attention after all.
Slowly the sky opened up, drips of water beginning to fall downwards. It wasn't long until it was a full-on downpour, rain drenching the shinobi. Kuromaru was clearly uncomfortable, judging by his incessant whining once his fur got wet. It was only by Tsume reassuring him he'd be back in the dry lands of Konoha soon that he stopped whining. The moment came soon, as Konohamaru cried out with a smile.
"There's the border!"
Naruto frowned just as the Konoha forces let out a collective sigh of relief. For them the worst part of their job was about to end, while for him his worst nightmare was about to begin. He was suddenly regretting his decision to capitulate to their demands. He should have fought harder to protect Ashino. The likelihood that Karin had found their location would be higher if there was a battle going on in Amegakure. Nagato, Fuka, Kisame, Konan, or Yahiko would have been much closer. It would have made it easy for them to reach their location. Maybe he could have even killed a couple of them before help arrived. But where would Ashino be? They were clearly using the child as the weak point to attack him. If he stopped defending him Ashino would have died or been captured. He couldn't have had that. But here he was...about to be captured. A life under Danzo's thumb would be worse than death itself. Naruto bit his lip, his eyes scanning for any way out of this situation. How could he get Ashino free?
The answer came just as a figure slammed onto the ground in front of them with a massive thud. Smoke covered their body, but it couldn't conceal their power. No, the killing intent being radiated was at a level that it was clear the caliber of a shinobi that stood before them. An ominous purple glow permeated through the dust cloud; the glow even more eerie in the darkness of the night sky above them.
"Who are you," Konohamaru stated. The group immediately dropped to defensive positions, wary of this newfound threat.
"Get Ashino."
The group didn't expect what happened next. A swarm of paper birds descended from the sky towards Sakura faster than most could react to. The pink haired kunoichi tried to leap away only to find herself firmly rooted on the ground as if some otherworldly force was keeping her there. Her eyes went wide.
"What?"
The birds snatched up Ashino and quickly ascended back into the sky. The group looked up to see a blue haired woman with wings flying above them with a red-haired woman in her arms.
"Bring the boy back to his mother. Leave Karin with Yahiko so he can track us better."
"Understood. Will you be safe?"
"I'll be fine," the voice called. The dust cloud had finally cleared, and the look of a savage rage was clear on the man's face. "I just have to take out the trash for a moment."
The blue haired woman nodded, flying away at top speed. Konohamaru's eyes widened, snapping orders at the group.
"After her! Do not let her get away!"
The group tried to pursue Konan only for a wave of killing intent to momentarily freeze them in their tracks.
"I'm afraid you won't be getting the chance."
A wave of force shot forwards, sending all of the Konoha shinobi flying backwards uncontrollably. Naruto was no exception. They all stumbled across the ground, cuts forming on their bodies before they slowly stood up. Their heads snapped upwards, anger on their faces only for them to see the man standing in front of Naruto.
"Are you okay Naruto?"
"I've seen better days. Was getting worried for a moment that you wouldn't make it here on time."
"You're lucky Karin was paying attention."
"Very," the blonde stated. "But I didn't really have a choice."
"I see that. Can you fight?"
"Not with these on me," the blonde stated, raising his hands to show the chakra suppressive shackles on his body. "But something tells me I won't have to. I should get out of your way."
The man nodded. "Flee for now."
Naruto didn't hesitate, taking off as fast as he could with his chakra suppressed. Konohamaru's eyes flared with annoyance.
"No! I'll get Naruto, you get the kid!"
Konohamaru shot forwards, desperate to reach Naruto in time. Nagato watched the child go, his eyes glowing with irritation. He could have stopped him. But while there was danger there was also opportunity. He would bank on opportunity. Besides, Naruto could take care of himself, even with his chakra suppressed. He had to gather what information he could from these Konoha shinobi.
The man turned, standing between the remaining Konoha force and Ashino. His eyes rippled with power.
"Forces of Konohagakure. You have kidnapped my son. Kidnapped my guest. Trespassed on my territory. For all intents and purposes, you have declared war against me, the Amekage, and Amegakure. Now tell me," Nagato looked at each shinobi hard. His chakra spiked.
"Why should I spare your lives?"
Finally! I have been waiting for this moment. We finally get to see Nagato in some real action and Naruto and Konohamaru interacting. Please keep reviewing (it boosts my ego and motivates me to write more haha), and let me know what your thoughts are!
