"Honey we are almost to Nuvema town I will only be able to drop you off in front of the Professor's lab because i am on a tight schedule and need to make it to the Desert Resort in central Unova by tomorrow" said a teary eyedAviel Kiri
" Mom it's fine i know you have a job to do maybe i will run into you while i'm traveling through Unova" I sighed
" My baby boy is growing up" Cried Aviel
" Ugh mom cant Flygon fly any faster we've been flying for hours and all i have seen for hours is water" I sighed bored out of my mind staring at the water
" Don't be impatient. I know you want to hurry up and start your travels but…..
Suddenly a tri-pronged attack from a 3 headed Dragon pokemon blasted Flygon thankfully Flygon used protect in time. Suddenly a man with blond hair is seen on top of a Magnezone hovering near the dragon pokemon and on the back of the dragon was a large man with flowing green hair and an eyepatch.
" Hello dear sister and nephew, would you please come with me." Said the Blonde man
" Icarus is that you I haven't heard from you in 11 years" gasped Aviel
"Nephew? Mom, is this man your brother?" I said confused staring at the man on the Magnezone curiously
" Yes young Rai i am your uncle my name was once Icarus meaning "the one who will reach the sky" but due to a mistake thanks to my dear brother your other uncle I changed my name and it is now Colress which means the man of Chrome" Explained the newly dubbed Colress
" Um mom uncle is weird what are we gonna do" whispered Rai
"Honey the second you make it to land find a pokemon center or phone and tell your father i love him and what happened" Cried Aviel
"Mom, what do you mean when I reach land…..
Instantly Gardevoir appeared from her pokeball standing dangerously on the large flygons back
" I love you Rai, be strong, I will be fine…. Gardevoir teleport Rai somewhere safe" Commanded Aviel
With a nod Gardevoir pointed her hand towards me and everything went black as I was teleported far away
"MOM! SHINX ZORUA COME OUT!" I yelled at the top of my lungs
" Guys mom was taken by 2 guys i need your help to find a city or a town or something please i need help" I cried while sobbing frantically
Zorua closed her eyes and her shadows stretched across the ground far trying to sense anything and while Zorua was doing that Shinx eyes brightened significantly looking with its Gleam eye ability to search for any people nearby. At the same time Shinx and Zorua yipped and took off at full speed north
1 hours of running later the group of Rai Shinx and Zorua made it to a sign that reads Welcome to Nuvema Town The Start of something Big
I ran directly towards the largest building in town and slammed the door open begging for a phone
" Who the hell are you and who do you think you are barging into Professor Juniper's lab like that" Said an Irate child
"Professor Juniper as in the regional professor get out of my way i need to talk to her now" I yelled
" You will have to get passed me Cheren and my partner Snivy" Yelled the now known Cheren
" I dont have time for this Zorua Swift into Hex" I roared angrily
Zorua jumped into the air and from her tail erupted multiple star shaped projectiles that encircled the grass snake and then instantly collapsed in with a shower of ghostly energy instantly knocking out the Snivy"
"HHHHow did you do that and why does that Zorua look like that" Stuttered a now shocked Cheren
" Shinx, get him out of my way!" I Roared
Before shinx could paralyze the boy with Thunder Wave a midsize white furred rodent pokemon slapped shinx away with an Iron tail and fired a swift towards zorua but unknowingly to the pokemon it fazed safely through Zorua who fired her own Swift in counter attack surprising the pokemon
" That is enough there will be No battling in my lab without my permission" Yelled and Irate woman in her early 20s
" Professor Juniper, my name is Rai Kiri and my mother was taken by 2 men. Please let me use your phone!" I yelled panic sketched onto my face
" Rai, your father and I just got off the phone, are you telling me Aviel was taken?! Said a surprised Professor Juniper
" Yes please , I need to inform dad so that he can come and help me save her!"
Professor Juniper then directed me towards her video phone and after clicking the redial button Xaire was seen on the phone with a confused expression
" Rai I see you made it to Unova…
"Dad, no time mom was taken by a man named Colress and a man with Green hair!" I yelled
" She was what! Who is this Colress" Yelled Xaire
" Mom said his name was Icarus and that he is her brother my Uncle" I explained
" Icarus but he vanished 11 years ago after your mom told him that she was pregnant. He looked so happy saying he was gonna be the best Uncle but a day later he disappeared and basically vanished off the face of the world. Your mother and I tried to find him but you were due soon and we had to stop but we kept ears out for him since then" Explained Xaire
" Well he and this man riding a hydreigon attacked us while we were on flygon almost causing us to be shot out of the sky mom then summoned Gardevoir and had her teleport me away we have to go rescue her before it's too late" I panicked
" Rai, I am on my way. I am currently in Kanto. I was visiting professor Oak. I will be in Unova by tomorrow, get prepared and meet me in Accumula town north from where you are in Nuvema town."
" Yes sir I will be heading there right now!" I yelled preparing to run out the building
"Wait Rai even with these circumstances you were to come to me anyway to receive a pokedex along with a supply of pokeballs" informed Juniper
" I forgot can we do this quickly please i need to hurry" I said attempting to rush the professor
" Rai Accumula town is a 5 hour trip north and it's still very early you will make it in time please calm down and breathe" Juniper said attempting to calm me down
" I'm sorry professor you are right please can i have the pokedex and pokeballs" I said calming down
" Yes please follow me" Smiled Juniper
Before even being able to take a step Cheren who was just listening in the corner finally spoke up
" Why help him he came in bursting in and hurt my poor snivy why does that guy from the boonies deserve help from you the illustrious Professor Juniper" Yelled Cheren
" Kid if you do not get out of my way Zorua will bury that garden snake of yours" I threatened
" That's another thing you clearly cheated in that battle Zorua cant use Hex nor can it be immune to attack like when professor's Cinccino used swift I am going to report you to the authorities and…
" Cheren that is enough this child's mother a very close friend of mine was taken along with the fact that he did not cheat he defeated you fair and square also do your homework that Zorua is a regional variant of the pokemon granted it was said to be extinct it is a normal and ghost type pokemon " Educated Juniper
" Then i demand he relinquish ownership of it to me some no named kid from the Boonies doesn't deserve to have such a rare pokemon he should also give me that yellow cat of his" said Cheren in an arrogant tone
In an instant a dark suffocating presence dropped directly on to Cheren causing him to breathe heavily while clutching his chest
" If you ever say that I am a no name again or attempt to steal my family I … Will … End … You!" I said in a dark tone
" Wwwhat are you, what did you do to me I am gonna tell my father on you he will put you in your place he is a member of the elite 4" Mumbled a terrified Cheren
"Cheren you were my student please use your head and listen this young trainers name is Rai Kiri does that mean anything to you" Juniper spoke slowly
" I know who he is his family is a bunch of washed up losers his dad retired being a Champion because he knew he was too weak even with owning legends and his Uncle is only a frontier brain my dad is an Elite 4 member and the one closest to Alder in strength" Cheren said smugly after getting over his fear
" Professor give it a rest he won't accept it he needs to be hit with reality before he changes his outlook on life but for now he is weak." I said calmly
" Now please can we ignore him so i can get going to Accumula town" I asked
Professor Juniper then led me along with Shinx and Zorua to a room and pointed me towards a table on which was 6 normal pokeball a pokedex and an enlarged pokeball.
" Professor i understand the empty pokeballs and the pokedex but what is in this last pokeball" I asked curiously
" This month I had 2 trainers starting off their adventures. Normally a professor prepares 3 pokemon for new trainers: a fire, water and grass type. Cheren as you know took the grass starter Snivy and another one of my student the grandson of champion alder Benga he took the fire starter Tepig and so i had decided when your father called me last week informing me you wanted to start your journey in Unova i would give you the last starter option In this pokeball contains Oshawott the sea otter pokemon and I'm happy Oshawott was left I have theory that if given time if Oshawott spends time around your Hisuian Oshawott it might be able to evolve into its Hisuian Samurott counterpart in time buts it's only a theory but your father has told me that your Zorua when with you radiates a strange energy different then the Aura that your family is known for wielding your father even informed me about some of the population of stantler that live around your home began evolving into the lost evolution Wyrdeer recently and started to spread out into the neighboring johto and sinnoh regions" Explained the Professor
" If I remember correctly Samurotts found in ancient Sinnoh or Hissui as it was called were part Dark type along with wielding their scalchops similar to katanas." I asked
" You are very well educated yes Samurotts back then had the dark typing but other then that not much is known your family's record books might have more clues but i feel as if i took up more than enough of your time please take the northern entrance of the town and head straight north follow the path and you will make it to the town actually here take this item its called an Xtrainsiever it is basically a mobile phone that you can wear on your wrist that shows you a map as well I will install my number along with telling your fathers your number so he can contact you once he makes it there." Said Juniper
" Thank you so much Professor I cant thank you enough for what you have done I will take care of Oshawott but I wont release him until I reach Accumula town if there is nothing else I will be off" I said beginning to walk away
" Please be safe Rai" whispered Juniper
After passing an angered Cheren and making it out of the lab I began my travel with Shinx and Zorua by my side taking the north path from Nuvema heading towards Accumula Town along the way many wild pokemon such as lillipup and patrat attempted to attack me but shinx and zorua put them down instantly without a single bit of hesitation or issue it seems that the 2 years of training and bonding have put my family to another level but I find it odd that Shinx hasn't evolved yet I've read in books that Shinx evolve into Luxio fairly early and even by fathers personal experience shinx is stronger than most Luxios as just a shinx. I've even asked Shinx on occasion if it has been denying its evolution but he always shakes his head no and in his was explained that it hasn't had the sensation of evolution.
4 hours Later
"I can see the town in the distance guys only about an hour away once we get there we will rent a room in the pokemon center and meet our new teammate" I said to the excited pair
Without warning a Gust of wind followed by a tornado of leaves shot in front of me damaging the nearby area
" Looks like the bum from the boonies thought he was gonna have an easy time traveling on my turf." Spoke Cheren
" Ok kid i'm tired of you bad mouthing me do you not understand that your not worth my time" I said tiredly
" Battle me 2v2 and when I win you give me your pokemon and I guess if you somehow win I will give you mine." spoke the arrogant unovan
" No deal not only will I not bet my family on a battle I don't want your pokemon also pokemon are not things that you can so easily stake on a battle as if they are property they are your friends and family" I said with an angry tone
" Pokemon are tools they are no less than pets to some and for most weapons and to me my pokemon are worthless but since I need them to capture more useful and powerful pokemon I will continue to use them as i see fit. Now Pidove come out" Hissed Cheren
" Shinx battle stance."
Shinx and the terrified looking Pidove stood off against each other
" Shinx Thunder wave into Thunder Shock"
Shinx took off into a sprint and while running its fur starts to crackle with electricity and as shinx leapt into the air, a wave of electricity washes off of its fur colliding with the pidove paralyzing it and as it began to fall shinx shot a second stream of electricity that lit the pidove up airborne causing it to crash into the ground with swirls replacing it eyes
" You useless waste of space, why did i even bother to capture you when this battle is done i swear…..
"Shinx use thunder wave on Cheren Zorua knock him out with Hex" I said in a monotone
A thick aura permeates from both shinx and zorua as they oblige and fire there trusted combination causing the young trainer to go unconscious
" This time and this time only will I let you go but for this pidove's sake I will be releasing it in your name Go free little bird this boy will not hurt you any longer" I said
Surprisingly pidove did not leave but instead chose to sit in the tree above its unconscious trainer as if it is guarding him and without notice snivy materializes from its ball with a sad smile as it tries to motion us to leave while it sits down in its trainers lap
" You Cheren are one lucky kid those pokemon in all sense should hate you but they seem to have some sort of bond with you and won't leave you alone I will honor there wishes but though you can't hear me if I run into you again I will not continue to go easy you on you as i have and I will make you know the difference between a true trainer and scum pretending to be a trainer"
Once reaching Accumula town I immediately return Shinx and Zorua and search for a pokemon center. Before entering the center I notice that in the courtyard nearby there seems to be a large gathering of people and in curiosity I decide to venture close to hear what's going on. In the front of the crowd is a teenager with strangely familiar long green hair.
" My name is of no importance but for the sake of it you all can call me N. Today I am here representing Team Plasma. We are a team of pokemon professionals and I would like to speak to you all about Pokemon liberation.
A large collection of gasps could be heard from the crowd.
"I am sure most of you if not all believe that Pokemon and humans are partners that have come together to live in harmony because both sides wants and need each other"
" What if I told you that humans….. Only assume this is true and that in truth it is not a fact."
"Pokemon deserve to be free and humans especially those that choose to be pokemon trainers are selfish and only want pokemon for there personal goals"
"Pokemon were not meant to battle one another for human delight nor were they meant to be placed in costumes and set to perform for humans."
"Pokemon are living beings with an unknown amount of potential and humans subjugate them and falsify their feelings towards them to give these wonderful creatures false hope"
" So we of Team Plasma from here on out mark today as our first day in the limelight and decree that all pokemon must immediately be released if not we will take them by force to release them."
"Thank you and I sincerely appreciate you all for your attention and time but starting soon this world will be a world of pokemon ONLY pokemon."
A silence wafted through the area as everyone watching and listening went quiet
"You in the back something about you seems different. You resonate a power not so dissimilar to my own. Are you able to listen to the voice of pokemon too?" N said staring at me through the quickly dispersing crowd
" My name is Rai Kiri I am a pokemon trainer I am a wielder of Aura and by the looks of it so are you but no I can only feel the emotions of pokemon and I can tell you this my pokemon and I are family and they feel the same." I retorted
" You poor fool you may have access to a similar power to me but you clearly are getting the wrong signals from it no pokemon wants anything to do with Humans"
"Though I detest the devices known as pokeball along with battling I will show you what pokemon that truly understand my reasoning will do to help Team Plasma to help liberate pokemon kind"
" Zorua come out and help me liberate the pokemon from this foolish child's grasp" spoke N
A natural modern day Zorua with black fur and red tufts on its ears appear glaring with hate towards me, materialized from its pokeball
" Wow a unovan zorua so that's what one looks like in person, even though this is probably a bad idea. Zorua battle stance"
As i casually toss Zorua's Pokeball into the air my Zorua(H) appeared with a sparkling glow indicating that he is of the shiny variant
" Your Zorua looks odd why does it look different from my own Zorua" Questions N
" You will just have to find out" I spoke
Both Zorua staring at each other N's stares with complete curiosity of its counterpart. While mine being subconsciously linked to my Aura and listening from inside its pokeball that this man plans to take her away from me begins to growl at its modern day counterpart.
" Zorua if you could, please battle that Zorua I will not command you I believe you are capable of battling on your own my friend" Spoke N
In an instant N's Zorua opens its mouth charging dark energy and then with a little roar shoots dark rings of sound towards Zorua(H)
" Zorua(H) that is snarl deflect it with Swift!" I commanded
Zorua(H) charged a large amount of normal energy into its tail and then leaped shooting a large barrage of over sized Star shaped projectiles colliding with Snarl causing a small explosion.
" Zorua(H) Shadow sneak into Pursuit)
Zorua(H) sunk into its shadows and with blinding speeds while covered in Dark type energy homed into N's Zorua launching it skywards from underneath
While mid air N's Zorua rite itself and shot another Snarl slamming my Zorua(H) into the ground with its force from above
" Zorua(H)! " I yelled
N's Zorua once landing took off in a dash covered in Dark type energy using the move pursuit itself to attempt and end the battle
" Looks like I understand the difference between our Zorua while mine is Dark type it seems yours is a Ghost type i understand now why you said "this was probably a bad idea" and it seem it will cost you" N said arrogantly
A bright blue energy erupts from both Rai and Zorua causing Rai's Eyes to morph into Zorua's eyes while Zorua Shadows engulfed her
From Zorua Shadow what looks to be an apparition of a large Bipedal Fox pokemon with flowing tendril like hair, it stood over Zorua whose eyes were glazed over, it was completely made of the Shadows but the only thing not shadows is its piercing golden eyes The Fox Shadow then shot out a spectral Nail covered in what seems to be Psychic and Ghost energy towards N's Zorua which collides and hammers into the Zorua forcing it to howl in pure agon, Once N's Zorua collapsed the energy around Rai and Zorua dissipates instantly, Zorua then collapses while the Shadow Fox seems to smile down towards Zorua and waves its farewell towards Me
" What was that" I questioned to myself in my mind while my legs begin to shake due to my lack of energy"
" It seems you have power that even I don't understand and that Zorua of yours seems to be special though I lost and no doubt you have other pokemon I will retreat for now but be warned next time I see you I will liberate your pokemon" N Said with a scowl vanishing with his Zorua in his arms
" What is with people in Unova wanting to take my pokemon from me first that idiot Cheren and now this N guy and now i recognize him he looks almost exactly like that man who took my mom but younger maybe he is the man's son" I pondered
No time to ponder the question i quickly return Zorua to her pokeball and rush to the pokemon center to have her checked up on. After hearing that Shinx was fine but Zorua would need to stay in care for the night to heal, I took both Shinx and Oshawotts pokeballs and headed upstairs to my rented room.
Once reaching my room I decide to send out Shinx and explain to him that Zorua had a hard battle and will be down stairs with Nurse Joy to heal from her injuries
Shinx suddenly looked frantic and was about to run out the room to go check on his friend but stopped when I called out his name
" Shinx i know you want to go check on Zorua but I need you here I am about to send out our new team mate and i need you to introduce yourself and just incase Oshawott freaks out not knowing where he is"
Shinx begrudgingly agrees to stay with me and so I click the button on the pokeball releasing the pokemon. Oshawott is a small blue otter pokemon with a white face and a detachable shell on its chest. Oshawott blinks its eyes a couple times, clearly a little confused after being in its pokeball for so long and wondering where the Professor is.
" Hello Oshawott my name is Rai and this my partner Shinx"
Oshawotts head turns quickly after hearing the unfamiliar voice and stares into my eyes with curiosity and what seems to be hope
" Oshawott the Professor had given you to me as a welcome to Unova present and was wondering if you would like to join us on our adventure"
Oshawott instantly with no hesitation tackles into my chest with a hug and seconds after tackles shinx with the same enthusiasm
" I will take that as a yes" I smiled
" Oshawott from this moment on you are apart of my family and we have another member but currently she is hurt and is being taken care of downstairs by a pokemon doctor"
Oshawotts eyes widen as he tries to pull both Shinx and I by our hand and paws respectively to go downstairs for him to meet and send his condolences to his new friend. Once reaching the room that the nurse pointed to Shinx and I quickly ran towards the bed to see a now awake Zorua but something was off. Zorua looked to be in a trance but once I spoke it broke instantly.
" Zorua are you ok" I spoke softly
Zorua turn her head and jumped into my arms snuggling deep into my chest
" I'm so happy you are ok Zorua. We have a lot of things to talk about but first I want you to meet our new friend Oshawott."
Instantly again without any hesitation Oshawott jumped head first to try and tackle Zorua like he did both Shinx and I into a hug but Zorua fazed into the ground with her shadows and appeared behind Oshawott snickering. Oshawott spun around with stars in his eyes looking at Zorua as if she was the coolest thing ever.
" Zorua I don't think you know what that was that happened to us in the battle against N but after looking at the pokedex it showed that you learned 3 new moves. Spite,Imprison and Curse and I believe the shadow fused the 3 moves together which I never would have thought was possible.
Zorua, Shinx and Oshawott looked at me with looks of confusion on their little faces.
" Let me explain, fusing attacks with separate pokemon is simple due to pokemon being able to use the attributes of attacks separately but its hard for a pokemon to add another typing to its own moves since its hard in general to generate more then one element at a time but that shadow proved us wrong and now I feel like we all should try to make combo moves both in team battles and separately but this will be for later. Oshawott I know that you are new but tomorrow my father will be coming and we will be going on a mission to save my mom. I want to know if you will help me when the time comes."
Oshawott for a moment looked as if it was contemplating something in its mind but before I was able to say anything further, Oshawott removed its shell on its chest and placed it in my hand. Confused by what this meant, I opened my pokedex to look up more information on the oshawott line. The pokedex states if a member of the Oshawott line gives anyone their scalchop it is shown as the strongest form of respect of the species and that it is treated as a warrior's oaths.
" Thank you Oshawott your trust in me and the team will not be misplaced we are family we will fight together"
Oshawott again tackles my chest, hugging me deeply while shinx and zorua jump in to join the hug.
" Ok oshawott let me check my pokedex and see what moves you know."
After scanning oshawott the pokedex falls from my hand after how surprised i was, after picking it back up on the screen it showed the obvious moves of Water Gun, Tackle, Focus energy and tailwhip but afterwards it showed the egg moves Air Slash and Night Slash and Air Slash was already unlocked.
" Oshawott, did you have a trainer before me?" I asked
Oshawott shook its head in the negative
" Do you by chance remember if your parents were both Samurott"
Oshawott this time shook its head but this time it shook once for yes and once for no
" So one of your pokemon was a samurott?"
Again Oshawott shook its head yes
" Do you know what pokemon the other one was"
Oshawott then shook its head yes and then points its paw towards Zorua
Instantly my eyes shot out of my head
" No wonder Professor Juniper was so happy that she was able to give me Oshawott not only do you have a chance at becoming a Hisuian Samurott for being around Zorua you also have the genes of a Zoroark from one of your parents that explains why you have access to Night Slash so i'm assuming your Samurott parents passed down the Air Slash since Zoroarks can't learn that."
Oshawott tilted its head in confusion but then smiled and snuggled into Zorua as if they were actual family and technically they kind of were.
" I'm going to have to talk with the Professor about this later but for now this is great i have 3 strong pokemon, Mom will 100% be saved once dad and I find her"
" Ok guys and girl it's time for us to get some sleep tomorrow dad is going to be here and we need our rest, Zorua i will be here bright and early to get you so rest up we are going to need you at your best so please relax." I said while petting Zorua on the head
Though sad, Zorua nodded her head and layed down in her hospital bed preparing to fall asleep. I then walked to my room and got into bed while both shinx and Oshawott took opposite sides of my head and fell asleep.
" Don't worry mom we will save you I promise" I thought with determination in my eyes
Meanwhile with Aviel
In a dark sandy cave a woman is seen strapped to a wall with chains while blood is leaking down her head . On the opposite of the cage 2 men can be seen staring at her along with a Magnezone and Hydreigon
" Now that we have my sister, Xaire will definitely come to save her and then we can spring our trap" Said Colress
" Good now all we have to do is wait but for the time being Colress go topside and examine the ruins more to see if everything is as it should be." Said the man with an eye patch
Meanwhile with Xaire
" Icarus what are you doing? Why did you kidnap Aviel?" Thought Xaire
Xaire was currently flying on top of Aegis his Alpha Skarmory and is currently flying over the seas near the Sinnoh region he is only a couple hours out from reaching Unova and with Skarmory's speed he should be there by the morning
" Aviel my love im coming" Yelled Xaire
AN: WOOOH finally finished this chapter its by far the longest chapter i have written and actually is about double the word count of both chapter 1 and 2 combined
First question to answer is yes I chose Unova well actually CrimsonStarBlade chose Unova and with the week the chapter was out he was the only one to choose so I made his or her dream come true so thank you for commenting
Funnily enough i actually had written up about 3000 ish words for if Sinnoh was chosen but I guess i will store it away for later
Second question i was asked in a pm sorry i don't remember your name but you know who you are but yes you got it spot on how Zorua was there in the cave so let that sink into everyone and maybe re read chapter 2
This Chapter had a lot of twist and my choice of how i believe certain people will act case in point Cheren i chose to give him partially Trip from the animes personality along with Damian personality the original trainer of Ash's Charmander
This chapter was also my first instance of writing out battles so please tell me how i did and how i could make it better
Please do not ask me to talk about Ash i said it in the first part his Journey for the most part in Kanto and the Orange Islands will go unchanged but starting Johto it will change decently enough and when it's time for me to talk about him i will and I promise it will be in depth
