Chapter 34: Confrontation
The Pyramid of Argus. Named after the father of visions himself. Surrounded by huge craters that look like mountains. No one has been here….. Until now. Taven stands there and stares at the Pyramid as his father has told him about.
"Father. Mother. This is for you." Taven said. He walks towards the pyramid. As he does so, he sees more than dozens of skeleton bones and crows flying around, pecking on some of their bones. They notice him but he simply ignores them.
Taven slowly walks closer to the Pyramid and begins climbing the four big sets of stairs. While climbing, he thinks about the last conversations he had with his father, reminding his own son that once he takes the steps up the Pyramid, there is no turning back. Taven knows his destiny, and will take it without any second thoughts.
After several minutes, he finally reaches the top. Upon reaching it, he sees it shaped like a huge fighting arena, like a circle. When he sees the middle, he sees the dragon marking based on Mortal Kombat. It looks bigger than normal and looks untouched. But that is not all. Surrounding the dragon marking are six different holes. They almost look like keyholes. In fact, they are keyholes for the six Kamidogu daggers.
"Meia." Taven breathes. "I hope you are doing alright and being safe, my friend. Please be careful on your way here. I have faith in you."
"Waiting for someone, brother?" A voice calls to him. Taven turns around and his eyes turn to anger and grits his teeth.
"You!" Taven stares at him. "I have been wanting to meet you again for a long time."
"So have I, brother. So have I" Daegon smirks.
"Don't ever call me that. I'm not your brother. Don't think I have forgotten what you did that day in Edenia. Raging war against our own home. The same home we shared together. Against the same parents we had. Killed mother." Taven remembered, trying not to tear up.
"Taven. I can assure you. Her demise was an accident. Father deserved to die. He denied me my rightful claim to the throne." Daegon tries to defend himself.
"Because he knew you would bring all realms to their knees. You were going to do the same thing Shao Kahn tried to do with his tournaments. And he still failed. You were even going to enslave or kill anyone in Edenia if they defied you." Taven tells him.
"I needed to prove examples. That Edenia is the one meant to rule all realms, as it is the crown jewel. More than Outworld, more than Orderrealm. We could have shared the power, but you chose mercy and believed that we were no better than commoners. Argus preferred you as his favorite." Daegon accused.
"Father Argus never said anything like that. He loved both of us. He may still love you even in death, but I do not. Why must you insist on trying to restart a war against me? It is only going to bring more consequences." Taven tries to convince him.
"You do not understand, nor could you understand. I do this for what is right for our family. I know you resent me, brother, but I still see you as family." Daegon said.
"If you think that, then why do you plan to rewrite all of reality, killing everyone, me included?" Taven demands.
"Because I know that I could not beat you alone. I realize that now. That is why I enlisted the help from Shao Kahn and Havik. With Shinnok no longer existing, and Kronika and Geras destroyed, they are the most powerful ones I know. Tournaments will not work, nor will trying to restart time. So we brought up the Kamidogu. With the power of Blaze and the One Being combined, we could do anything with just a thought, including redoing all of reality." Daegon explained. "I knew the likes of Fire God Liu Kang and his friends would try to stop us. They have done so with Kronika, Shao Kahn, Geras, Shang Tsung and Triborg. And with him swearing to the Elder Gods that he would not abuse his time powers, that is what gives us the advantage, as they are worms who pretend to be dragons."
"So you killed them with cowardly devices rather than face them yourself." Taven accused him.
"Courtesy of the Black Dragon. While Mateo was a worthy successor to Kano, I do not pity them. I knew they would die before this point. They have always been Shao Kahn's weakest allies. They have served their purpose." Daegon said.
"And now you intend to finish what you started all of those years ago. Mother will be avenged." Taven said. He draws his drakeswords as Taven does the same.
"I agree." Daegon said to him before they fight.
Taven yells as he starts charging towards Daegon and swings his twin swords rapidly. Every swing he throws is every swing Daegon blocks. Daegon quickly kicks Taven backwards in the chest. Daegon quickly goes on the offensive as Taven defends himself and stands his ground. Taven spins his leg to trip Daegon, but he jumps, allowing Daegon to kick him backwards. They lock weapons and neither one is letting up their strength. Daegon smirks and headbutts Taven, stumbling him and making him drop his swords. Daegon wants to enjoy every moment of this fight, so he puts away his weapons.
Daegon comes in and punches Taven in the chest and face followed by a kick to the chest, a knee to the chin and a kick to the throat, making Taven spit out blood on Daegon's chest. Daegon then does two fiery back hand strikes to the chest and does a strong kick to the chin, sending Taven back. Taven gets back up and stares with hatred. His own hands glow with fire as well. Daegon throws fireballs at Taven, who dodges them all and elbow strikes Daegon in the chest and throat before slamming a fist onto his right shoulder. He trips Daegon's leg and punches his right shin, forcing him to a knee. This allow Taven to jump kick Daegon in the head, cracking his skull a little and sending Daegon back.
The evil brother recovers and growls. They both power up and shoot strong fireballs at each other. They collide and explode, creating a huge smoke cloud. Taven and Daegon throw attacks at each other, but they keep dodging them. Their fiery fists collide together, creating a hot shockwave and the entire ring is surrounded in fire. They continue to exchange blows, injuring both of them. Their hands collide, trying to overpower one another with strength. Daegon smirks and holds Taven's arms apart, crushes his hands and they nearly break. He then knees him in the right rib cage before kicking him away. Daegon does a fiery nerve strike to Taven's right rib cage, causing the latter to scream as it breaks. Daegon does a fiery punch to the jaw, cracking it and sending Taven in the air. Daegon jumps up, punches Taven's chest and cracking it greatly, sending Taven into the ground, nearly breaking his spine. Daegon finally grabs him and headbutts him in the back of the head, cracking the back of Taven's skull. Taven falls to his knees, losing his strength, finally defeated.
"Y-you will not get away w-with this." Taven said, dropping blood from his mouth.
"Why do you continue to have confidence? Everyone you know is dead. The fire god is dead. So is our family. And everyone else. I still have the Red Dragon. Tell me, Taven. Where is my disadvantage?" Taven wonders with mild curiosity.
"You lack conviction. Lack the guilt. You have always been short-sighted. You see, I was not trying to beat you. I was stalling you for time." Taven weakly tells him.
"Stalling me for time?" Daegon chuckles with doubt in his voice. "For who or what exactly?" Daegon questions him.
"For us, Daegon! Below the Pyramid!" A voice called out. Daegon, confused, turns to see who it is.
It is none other than Meia and the group of young protectors, who have reached the top. Chang Bao uses her wind powers to put out the flames. Daegon is rather amused.
"I'm supposed to be impressed by this, brother? You put your faith in mere children from different realms? Please. I have armies! Children with special powers do not frighten me. They may have powers from their parents, including ones who defeated Kronika and Shinnok, but that is nothing." Daegon exclaims.
"You underestimate us, Daegon. We know your plan. It will not work. It may be just us, but we are not afraid of you." Meia points her staff at him.
"You will pay for taking my father's life! And my mother's!" Shu-Shang yells.
"Same with our masters! And clans!" Aster said, forming an ice naginata.
"And friends!" Daisuki points his guandao.
"Ah. I remember some of you. You were there in Outworld with Kitana Kahn, Jade and Kotal. You survived because of the fire god. You're no threat to me. None of you. I must admire your bravery and the skills you have honed from your parents though. You defeated some of the strongest allies I have." Daegon tells them.
"And this is coming from the coward who couldn't face Lord Liu Kang by himself and used a dagger." Cyan said.
"Yeah. Even my dad was able to kick Shao Kahn's ass. And that asshole didn't use a dagger to buff himself up." Flora said.
"Because the power is unbelievable. Shao Kahn and his arrogance. He believed he could defeat anyone on his own. But he is wrong. But it does not matter. Soon, you will all be dead. And the power of Blaze… will be mine." Daegon said. Before he could reach for his weapons, he suddenly starts feeling a sharp pain to the chest, to where his heart is.
Daegon starts screaming in a lot of pain, putting his hands to where his heart is. His chest is glowing green for some reason. Even the young protectors are rather confused by this. They know it isn't Meia or even Taven. But who is it?
But they hear another laughter. It is coming from beneath the pyramid. The young protectors go to the edge to see who it is. Shao Kahn comes through a green portal and his left hand glows green. As he slowly closes it, albeit not all the way, it causes Daegon more and more pain.
"Is that who I think it is?" Aster asked.
"Shao Kahn." Anthony and Flora said.
"Just as I predicted." Shao Kahn said. "Children coming here to threaten me. My 'friend' finally showed his treacherous side. And all the Kamidogu are finally reunited." Shao Kahn as he holds up the other three daggers.
"Anthony. Chang Bao. Please tell me what we're gonna do." Flora said, trying not to shake. Anthony and Chang Bao nod to each other.
"We fight." Anthony said.
"What? But we can't stop him." Vera protests.
"No. But we can slow him down. Meia. Do your part. We will buy you as much time as possible. Go now!" Chang Bao ordered.
The team give her the Kamidogu daggers of Earthrealm and Orderrealm. Meia nods. As she runs up with the three daggers in hand, she stops to look at Daisuki.
"Be careful, Meia. Please." Daisuki tells her.
"You too, Daisuki." Meia winks at him as she runs over to Taven. "Taven. Are you alright? I can heal you. We need your help with Shao Kahn and Daegon and Havik."
"N-no. That was actually not part of the plan." Taven tells her.
"What? You said you would help us fight them. What do you mean no?" Meia asked.
"Because that was never part of the plan. I need my full strength….. And the dagger to absorb the power of Blaze." Taven confesses.
Meia blinked her eyes twice, trying to ponder correctly on what he said.
"You lied to me. Lied to all of us. Why?" Meia asked.
"To ensure victory, I need Blaze. To protect its powers from Shao Kahn. To ensure absolute victory. That way we can still win. If I don't have full strength, then I will die." Taven said.
"But if you're not worthy of his power, then you might die regardless. There has to be another way. Please. Don't do this." Meia pleads with him.
"Meia. You're my friend. So were Jerrod and Sindel. I am willing to lay down my life for them… and you as well. If you were in my position, would you ask for the same thing?" Taven asks her.
Meia looks at him in the eyes and tries not to tear up. She doesn't want him to absorb the power of Blaze, fearing for his safety. She appreciated how kind he was to her ever since he woke up. She tended to him, she interacted with him the most, and trained with him and he has treated her like a real friend.
"Taven….. I-" Meia tries to speak.
"It will be okay. I know it. I know by looking into your eyes….. That your parents loved you. I am blessed to have you as a friend and you survived so far. Please. For me. For everyone." Taven begs her, caressing her cheek.
Meia is very reluctant to let him do this. She is moved by his words and thanking her for being a friend. She tries to not tear up as she finally relents and begins to use her healing powers on him. Because of all of the injuries he as sustained, the healing process will take a while.
While she is working, Anthony and Chang Bao lead the charge.
"Eyes up! Stay sharp!" Anthony tells everyone. They all charge down the set of stairs, towards Shao Kahn.
Shao Kahn, not even intimidated in the slightest, slowly walks his way forward to the pyramid. He stares at the enemies charging at him. He pops his own neck, ready for action. Satoshi was the first to attack by throwing the chain part of his weapon towards Shao Kahn. It wraps around his left arm, but he easily yanks Satoshi towards him, grabs the chain and throws him behind him, then kicks Satoshi in the head, sending him far, defeating him. Cyan was the next to approach and spins his staff, ready to attack. He swings, but Shao Kahn blocks with his wrath spear, disarms Cyan, slams the stick part of the weapon in the stomach and slams it on Cyan's chest, knocking him down. Shu-Shang, with both sickles in hand, jumps to attack, but Shao Kahn grabs her by the throat and sends a strong punch to the face, knocking Shu-Shang down and defeating her as well. Kung Gen draws her sword and fights Shao Kahn. He wields his wrath spear and easily blocks her attacks. He overpowers her by also disarming her, punches her across the face and turns her around and swings the non-blade part of his weapon at the back of the head, knocking her out.
Daisuki is up next. He swings his gaundao at Shao Kahn rapidly, but he dodges every thrust to the face and every swing as well. He grabs the blade with his bare hands, pulls Daisuki towards him, knees him the chest, grabs his head and sends him to the ground, knocking him out. Vera was up and she slams both endpoints of her escrima sticks at his chest, briefly electrocuting him. He simply backhands her across the chest, sending her flying and she hits a pillar, knocking her out. Aster was next. She shoots ice at the ground, freezing it at Shao Kahn's feet and he was starting to freeze him.
Shao's body was covered in ice almost entirety, sans his head. Aster creates her ice naginata and charges at him, but Shao's mighty strength allowed him to break free from the ice like it was nothing. The Lin Kuei apprentice is knicked backwards, but rolls back to recover. She creates an ice greatsword to attack, but Shao Kahn grabs both of her wrists, lifts her up and headbutts her before grabbing her ankle and throwing her into the ground, defeating Aster.
Meia looks down and she sees that they're losing. She starts dropping tears as she tries to speed up the healing process. Meia looks at Taven with a sad look on her face.
Down below, Chang Bao, Flora and Anthony were the only ones left. Chang Bao walks towards Shao Kahn and starts swinging her odachi at him. To Shao Kahn's surprise, she is keeping up with his movements and is dodging his attacks. She swings her odachi and it brings a sharp cut onto his left arm, and it actually hurt him. Chang Bao pushes him back with the wind, but not much and double kicks him in the chest. Shao Kahn growls and grabs her ankle and throws her to the ground, head first before kicking her away. Next was Anthony. He runs towards the conqueror and he throws a punch, which Anthony ducks under and throws a strong Shadow Kick to the stomach, causing Shao Kahn more pain followed by a backflip kick to the chest. Anthony jumps for another kick, but Shao Kahn throws a punch to the chest, sending the young leader to the ground and when he attempts to get up, Shao Kahn slams his fists down onto his back, completely defeating Anthony.
Flora was the last one standing. She yells as she fits energy beans at his chest, sending him back more. Shao Kahn recovers, but Flora absorbs part of the ground and delivers strong punches to the left knee, chest and to the face, breaking part of his mask. Shao Kahn back hands Flora across the chest and kicks her away, making her go sliding down. Flora barely gets up in time when Shao Kahn jumps in the air and thrusts his spear at her, but she manages to avoid it as the spear strikes the ground and he throws a punch at her. Flora manages to catch his fist and gave it all of her strength to push back. Shao Kahn is rather surprised by this and quickly sees that she got her powers from Alex, but they are not as strong. Flora yells at the top of her lungs as she continues to push. Shao Kahn quickly grabs both of her hands and pulls her closer and he sends a strong punch to the head, completely knocking her out. Shao Kahn sees Meia at the top of her pyramid and quickly teleports to the top via a green portal.
Meia's eyes widened upon seeing Shao Kahn as he grabs her by the throat, making her drop the other daggers in the process.
"You weak, pathetic fool." Shao Kahn flares at her before he throws off the Pyramid and rolling down the steps while hitting her head. All of the young protectors have been defeated. Shao Kahn sees Taven lying motionlessly on the ground. He scoffed before finally turning to Daegon.
"You….. you're betraying me?" Daegon asked.
"Betray you? Ha! Hypocritical much, Daegon?" Shao Kahn tells him.
"I do not know what you are talking about." Daegon claims.
"Don't pretend to tell the truth. I knew you would betray me at some point. And that you were planning to take Blaze all for yourself." Shao Kahn said.
"What is this curse that you planted on me?" Daegon asked.
"A special hex. Because unlike Kronika, Shinnok and Geras, I learn from my mistakes. Ever since I was betrayed by Shang Tsung and after waking up, I knew just the thing to make sure that it does not happen again. The moment you and I shook hands, that was when I placed the curse on you. Just one sign of treachery, that is what happens." Shao Kahn explains.
"So now what? Do you plan to kill me now" Daegon asked.
"I could kill you right now, but not yet. Like I said before, unlike Rain, you have been much more useful and much more competent. Your plan was near perfection. I simply waited for you to kill Taven. And with Liu Kang, Alex Cage and everyone dead, nothing can stop me now. Because you have been useful to me, I am willing to give you a fighting chance. Face me in Kombat. Agree and I will lift the curse." Shao Kahn tells him.
"If that is your wish, then so be it." Daegon concedes. Shao Kahn smirks and his hand stops glowing. The curse has been lifted and Daegon gasps for air as he gestures to his heart. After regaining his strength, he stands up to face Shao Kahn.
"This will be entertaining to the end." Shao Kahn said.
"You will regret crossing me, Shao Kahn. When the power is mine, I will have no use for you or the Red Dragon. This fight will be official." Daegon claims before they fight.
Shao Kahn summons his wrath hammer while Daegon draws his drakeswords. They rapidly clash weapons with each other despite Shao Kahn's hammer being heavy. Neither show signs of slowing down. Their weapons lock, until Shao Kahn suddenly knees Daegon in the stomach and swings his hammer at Daegon's left rib cage and the head, sending him to his knees and slams his hammer on his back. Daegon shoots fire at Shao Kahn's right ankle, partly burning it and uppercuts him in the chest, then punches him two times in the face followed by a kick to the chest. Daegon jumps to stab Shao Kahn in the chest, but he uppercuts Daegon in the chest again, and his hammer goes flying and suddenly teleports and slams itself onto his chest, sending Daegon down, cracking his chest greatly.
Daegon gets back up and yells as he starts shooting fire at the conqueror. Shao Kahn thinks quickly and slams his hammer to the ground, making a minor quake, throwing Daegon off. Shao Kahn throws his hammer backwards and it teleports and hits Daegon in the back of the head, sending him to Shao Kahn, who grabs him by the face and slams him to the ground, head first. Daegon shoots fire balls at his face, who dodges, allowing Daegon to roll backwards. Shao Kahn throws his wrath spear, but Daegon dodges, does a fiery palm strike to his right waist and uppercuts him in the chin followed by an elbow strike to the chest. Shao Kahn dashes and kicks Daegon away, stomps on his ankle and grabs him and slams him on top of his head, nearly breaking his spine before throwing him down. Daegon gets up and clashes fists with Shao Kahn and attempts to headbutt him, but Shao Kahn grabs his face and pushes him away. Shao Kahn brings up a wrath spear and thrusts it through Daegon's stomach, then swings it across his chest two time horizontally before doing a vertical swing, leaving three big cuts on his chest. Shao Kahn uppercuts him, sending him in the air, but grabs his leg, throws him down and throws his spear through Daegon's back, completely breaking his spine and slams his hammer on Daegon's head, finally defeating him.
"It's official: YOU SUCK!" Shao Kahn tells him, smirking over his victory. He turns to see the Red Dragon has been watching the entire time, including Darrius, Mavado, Seamus Lee and Tessa.
"Red Dragon. Your own master has been deceiving you. He planned to take the power of Blaze for himself and kill you all, believing you to be useless to him. I overheard him myself. But I can give you a choice. Join me and unlike Daegon, I will make sure that all of you will join my new reality for all eternity. Anyone who wishes to question me, will die."
Mavado and the others all look at each other, debating on what to do. And upon seeing Daegon defeated by Shao Kahn, beaten and bleeding out greatly, Mavado and the others all step forward.
"All hail….. Shao Kahn." Mavado bends the knee with Tessa and the others.
"All hail… Shao Kahn!" The Red Dragon chants. This pleases their new master.
"You… traitors. I founded the Red Dragon. I took you all in… and this is how you repay me?" Daegon tries to stand in defiance.
"Still full of hypocrisy, Daegon? It will not matter, because your own usefulness has come to an end" Shao Kahn tells him.
Shao Kahn slams his hammer onto Daegon's head, crushing his neck inward and takes his spear and stabs Daegon in the stomach and lifts him up. He then slams Daegon's body onto the ground, cutting him vertically in half. Daegon's head falls through his own body as it lands on a pile of his own organs right underneath his collapsing body. "Fatality."
"Lord Shao Kahn. We live to serve you." Tessa smirks as she lifts her head and swears to him.
"Good. Now with all six Kamidogu daggers in hand, Blaze will be mine and all the realms will yield to us forever." Shao Kahn said.
Shao Kahn collects the three daggers he forced Meia to drop and has all six Kamidogu daggers in his hands. With all of them, they start to glow and they respond to their respective keyholes by flying over to them and inserting themselves. Their energy flows within the door below as it lights up like it is on fire before it slowly starts cracking before it bursts open. A fiery tornado shoots up into the sky. Shao Kahn gleefully smiles as the power is awakening. He sees a hand climbing out of the hole. It looks like it is completely covered in fire and is wearing chains around its wrists. The other hand climbs out and a person is revealed. That person is Blaze.
"I have awakened at last. I am Blaze." Blaze introduces himself.
"Indeed you are. You have been sealed away by the Elder Gods as they believed you to be a threat. But now after millennia, you are here once again." Shao Kahn said.
"Yes. My original purpose was to be the protector, but the Gods feared me and sealed me away. However, while I was in slumber, I began to realize my true destiny. To face the being worthy of using my power. Whether for good or evil. However, I cannot seek out challengers myself. I have to wait for someone to challenge me instead." Blaze said.
"And now I am here. Here to face you, Blaze. For your ultimate power. To spread it across the realms and across the universe." Shao Kahn challenges him.
"Then you must face me in battle. No tricks. Succeed, and you can kill me." Blaze replied. Shao Kahn laughs. Before he could step into the arena, he is suddenly hit in the back by a strong fire attack and an energy attack.
Shao Kahn growls in anger at this and goes to see who did that. It was Chang Bao and Meia. They finally managed to recover from their short-lived fight and the others have finally woken up, ready to fight again.
"You could not live with your own failure. And what did that bring you? Face to face with me. Throughout my years being the general of Onaga the Dragon King, I had dreams of being the ultimate conqueror. I succeeded to where he could not. I merged realms together in the Old Era and I would have succeeded. And because of Liu Kang and Alex Cage, they stopped that from happening. I wanted all realms to be one and have everyone thrive. It's in my blood to conquer realms. For as long as there are those who rebel, there will always be kombat. There will always be war." Shao Kahn said.
"Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but some of us here are too fucking stubborn to let bullshit like this slide." Flora said, standing up with a little bit of trouble.
"I'm thankful. For all of the fights the strongest warriors have given me. My life has been spared because of Kronika and some of my followers, old and new. Now I know what I must do. With the power of Blaze and the combined power of all the Kamidogu, I will shed every ounce of life in the universe and recreate all of reality in my own image. With no one living in it except for me and all of my armies." Shao Kahn explains.
"Born out of the blood of those whom you shed and will shed." Chang Bao said.
"Exactly my thoughts. I find it ironic that Edenia was the first major realm I conquered and this is where Armageddon will start. And given that Earthrealm has caused me too much trouble in the past, it will be next. And I am going to enjoy every last moment of it in my life." Shao Kahn said.
His hand once more glows green and a bunch of green portals open, revealing all the villains: Mileena, Reptile, Tanya, Reiko, Havik, Ermac, Goro, Ferra/Torr as well as more than dozens of undead, chaosrealmers and Red Dragon members. They all yell as they are ready to kill anything on sight.
Despite the odds, none of the young protectors are intimidated. "We are not afraid of you, Shao Kahn! We are not afraid of any of you assholes!" Anthony yelled out.
"If what you say is true. Then come….. COME TO DIE!" Shao Kahn dares them. The young protectors slowly start approaching the Pyramid of Argus, weapons tightly in hand, ready to make their last stand against their enemies once and for all. But before they could even reach the stairs, they heard sounds of lightning. Shao Kahn sees this and his eyes widened in horror.
The young protectors turn to see what it was. A lightning portal. But who could have conjured it? At first, no one appears. But then they see three figures slowly stepping out of the portal. It's Kitana Kahn, Jade and Fire God Liu Kang. Chang Bao, Daisuki, Shu-Shang and Cyan could not believe their eyes on what they were seeing. Could this be true? Chang Bao looks at her father. Liu Kang smirks and silently nods to her.
Liu Kang holds his arms out and more lightning portals come down from the sky and strike the ground.
Kung Jin jumps and rolls out from the portal. Jacqui jumps, shoots the ground with her gauntlets and lands on a knee. Takeda withdraws his chain spears and whips and stands, ready to fight. Cassie comes out the portal next and loads her guns and rifle. The last one to come out of the portal is Alex. He hovers in the air with his powers before he lands on the ground and deactivates his powers. Alex and Cassie smile upon seeing Anthony and Flora, who are both filled with tears as Vera and Satoshi are shocked that they are alive as well as Kung Gen.
There were more. Grandmaster Frost, as well as Smoke and Cyrax reach the end of another portal with the entire Lin Kuei clan following them. In fact, the Osh-Tekk, Edenians, Tarkatans and Erron Black and Baraka step through another portal. Kenshi Takahashi and the entire Shirai Ryu step through a lightning portal. Sindel and Jerrod step through a portal with Edenian Warriors and Shokan Warriors led by Queen Sheeva and another with Shaolin Monks led by Fujin and Kung Lao.
Surprisingly enough, the entire armies of Orderrealm led by Hotaru have come face to face. One more portal opens. The entire Special Forces army from all over the country of the U.S. To the surprise of Anthony, Flora and Vera, there are vehicles manned by Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and Jax Briggs. Sonya has her ring gauntlets, Jax and his shotgun and Johnny Cage with his own rifle. They also come with their own tanks, vehicles and everything.
All the heroes and their respective groups and armies have once again come together to face their greatest threats. All the villains couldn't believe that everyone was still alive. Shao Kahn takes a few steps back, horrified by what he is seeing before his own eyes.
"No. No! How is this possible! I killed you all! You were all trapped!" Shao Kahn exclaimed.
"How wrong you are, Shao Kahn. You forget that I am the Keeper of Time. You underestimate our combined strength and prowess. It will be your downfall." Liu Kang stated.
