"So how are things?" Jen asked as her, Jack, and Pacey scrubbed the cabin of his boat.
"They are good." Pacey mumbled rubbing a sponge around the small stove and butcher block. "What about you guys?"
"My dad wants me and Andie to move back to Providence." Jack jumped in before Jen could speak, his sponge rubbing methodically on the bottom step.
"Are you going?"
"Not if Grams has anything to say about it." Jen answered with a smile, not hiding the fact she was barely cleaning the small table on the boat.
"Andie is thinking about it…but I don't want to go." Jack growled pushing the sponge back, his arms crossing across his chest.
"Well, whether you both leave or not were here for you." Pacey turned to him with a smile, leaning against the small counter.
"Thanks Pacey."
"Where's Joey?" Jen questioned knocking her foot into Pacey's ankle.
"Working. The Icehouse has gotten a bit busier, and Joey feels obligated after being with me in the hospital…but I know she'd rather be here instead."
"I bet." Jack snickered as Jen rolled her eyes turning back to Pacey.
"How are things with Joey?"
Pacey cringed sliding in the seat across from Jen. "They're good…now. She wasn't too fond of what happened at the party."
"Your falling?" Jack asked sliding in next to Jen, snatching the bottle of water she had been moving around the table.
"No, my drinking…" They both turned to him shocked but didn't talk as they waited for him to finish. "I was stressed and overwhelmed, and I stole a few beers at the party…it wasn't what knocked me out, but it was a factor."
"Well don't do stuff like that." Jen chided with a smile. "Let us do the heavy lifting."
Pacey let out a half smile gliding his finger across the edge of the table. "Thanks."
