Drafted

Blossom managed to find the spot where the graffiti was, though, the tag might be gone, it was still the same alleyway. Starting her search from the entrance, she would lift, overturn, and tear apart anything and everything that was here, gently of course. Opening dumpsters and sifting through them, wearing a long sleeve version of her signature pink jacket, coupled with nitrile gloves, a gas mask, and long pants. It was hot in the getup she's got on, but better than contracting some sort of disease, which she's probably immune to, but that doesn't make it any less disgusting. Rifling through the handful of dumpsters and putting the trash back thoroughly there wasn't any sign of any X.

They were smart to hide them in the dumpsters, X has a distinct smell, almost like melted copper, but masking it under the stench of garbage was a good move. Blossom didn't know if it was intentional or not, but she commended the ingenuity nonetheless. Going towards the back with some loose materials, and a pile of more trash, she wondered if the garbage collectors just dumped all of the excess garbage here. She'll have a talk with the mayor about that one, but for now, she continued digging, her glove coming into contact with something sharp. It didn't pierce her skin, but as she dug it out, it was half of a receptacle of some kind.

Looking at it, it was just glass with a piece of metal on one end, acting as a cap, but it was still incredibly foreign looking. Blossom fished out a couple of plastic bags and carefully put the vial in there, she can safely say she's never seen anything like this in the city. Blossom would fly out of the alley, happy to be under the bright sun, if only for a bit before the clouds covered them. Still, open air beat a claustrophobic place like that, after a bit though she was aiming to go back home, and drop this off so her dad could take a look at it. But as she was rearing to fire away, she heard the screams of a lady, shouting that someone had decided to steal her purse, child's play to Blossom. Rearranging herself she went towards the source of the voice in a flash.

"Halt!" She said, but, as she got there, it seems the problem resolved itself. The assailant was lying on the sidewalk, knocked out clean, and who was standing above him? None other than John himself "…criminal" she stated, though, it still rang true no matter who she was talking to "god dammit." Seems he wasn't too happy about her showing up either "what are you doing?"
"Stopping this prick from running off with a purse" John would snatch the purse from the purse snatcher and wave it in front of Blossom "I'm not opening it, just so you know"
"who's to say you didn't open it before I got here" Blossom would touch down on the sidewalk, raising her gas mask. No doubt her face was flush from being a little hot in her makeshift hazmat suit. John made a face as he covered his mouth and nose "god you stink, where were you the sewers?"
"None of your business that's where" Blossom challenged, John shook his head "ugh, that's nasty."
"I'm well aware thank you, return the purse, and I'll leave you alone."
"Fine, but stay up in the sky or ten steps behind or something, before I throw up"

Blossom rolled her eyes as she clutched her find in her hand, the two began walking, obviously she ignored his want for her to stay away. "Say, you've seen a lot at job sites, yeah?"
"Depends on what you mean by a lot" John answered, wrapping the strap around his hand so it doesn't snag on anything "why?"
"I need you to look at something" Blossom would go to retrieve the object, but John kept walking "fuck no, why should I?" Blossom twisted her teeth in her mouth. He wants to play that way? Fine, she doesn't like it, but she can too "because if you don't, what I found at that bomb site could land someone in jail for a long time" John then stopped dead in his tracks. The first thing he would see when he turned around is Blossoms sheer smugness "whoever that unfortunate soul might be" it was nice watching him squirm for a change. "You wouldn't"
"Wouldn't what?" feigning innocence "surely you're not suggesting I pin that on you right? Perish the thought! Just whoever was responsible" Blossom played with her wording carefully. But her eyes and body language said a lot to John, sucking his teeth he motioned for her to show whatever it was that was so important.

With a satisfying sound, Blossom would approach John and show him what she found. She would be listening to his body for anything out of the ordinary, but as he furrowed his brow he was just as confused as her; it seems "where'd you find this?"
"At the crime scene" she lied, tucking her hair behind her ear. She didn't like lying and would get a bit fidgety, but he certainly didn't know that, or need to. "Nah can't say I've seen anything like this" John would fetch his keys from his pockets and stick them on the end, the two were connected now. "Don't know if that answers any questions but, one part of it's a magnet"
"What made you test that theory?" Blossom asked, that would've been the furthest thing from her mind. John shrugged "don't know, felt like it was one thing to check. How many half tubes do you see like this?" John handed the tube back to Blossom, then she stuffed it in her bags. "I guess, thanks"
"Don't mention it, now fly away before your stink rubs off on me"
"Not until you return the purse, then I'll leave" John huffed in annoyance as he picked up the pace. Blossom simply followed him by floating, smiling to herself, maybe now he knows how she feels whenever he opens his mouth.

As they rounded the corner the lady was panicking on her phone, seeing a man and what she thought was the commander of the powerpuff girls. She breathed a sigh of relief "oh, thank you so much!" She did hesitate from the smell, but, nonetheless, the lady was grateful as she took the purse and gave John a hug. "Oh, my life was in this purse, thank you both so much!" she then went to Blossom and got her a hug as well "it's nothing ma'am, after I showed up John had already taken care of everything"
"Thank you so much John" he just gave a tight-lipped smile and a nod in response, the lady then asked Blossom for a picture. She obliged, posing with the mother before one more thanks, and turning to leave, calling whoever just to tell them what happened. Blossom was smiling as she watched her go, then turned to John, but he was gone, immediately she began looking around to see where he'd gone. Catching the end of his boot as he turned the corner, Blossom wasted no time going back in front of him, arms crossed, John threw his arms up, fed up with the situation, whatever situation that may be. "I'm trying to stay away from you and you're making it pretty fucking difficult to do it."
"I have another thing to ask of you"
"Of course you do, why wouldn't you, just leave me alone for fucks sake" John went passed Blossom, but he didn't get very far "oh my god"
"What do you know about this?" Blossom showed him the sketch of the circle with an X in it. Figuring that John didn't have a choice, he gave a loud sigh, looking at the symbol. John gave a sharp shrug in response "nothing, seen it around but that's about it."

"You've seen it in other parts of the city?" Blossom inquired, John gave a nod in response "can I leave now?"
"No, there's more I need to talk to you about"
"Fuck lady!" John shouted "I have a job to do today, I don't know what kind of hard-on you have for me, but this is getting ridiculous. I have no idea what kind of manhunt you're on, but count me out of it" John then went past Blossom again. She clenched her jaw, both of them were getting on each other's nerves. However, Blossom deduced that he was the only option they had left, he might be a two-bit criminal, but he can certainly think like them. To keep the public eye away from her, she lunged forward, grabbed him by the collar, and brought them to the roof of a building "holy shit princess what is the matter with you!?" he said while stumbling on the roof. Fluffing his flannel, he would stare daggers at Blossom to which she was unaffected by it. "I need your help, John"
"You need help alright, but not from me" he countered, looking around for a way down "there's something happening in this city, and you're the only one that I know of that would be willing to help."

"Excuse me, willing!? I wasn't willing to help you with anything last time I fucking checked."
Blossom sighed as she took her gas mask off, and tied her hair back with her bow. "I know I'm not your favorite, and I'm certainly not yours. But someone in this city is up to something very bad, and we need to stop it."
"Townsville ain't all sunshine and rainbows, you should know that by now" John spat, realizing he had nothing else to do but listen to her, he did just that. Putting his hands in his pockets, just waiting for her to continue "I know that, I've been here ever since I was born. I love this city, and I'd do anything to protect it" Blossom said, thinking about her words carefully. "Do you like living here?"
"It's aight I guess" with a deadpan tone and a dead stare, John did his best to be as uninterested as possible. "A lot of people are going to get hurt, friends, family, me, you, and whoever you know." John narrowed his eyes at her as he pushed himself off of the ac unit "you? Getting hurt? That's a new one"
"I can't… explain the details, but I need you to trust me on this"
"Don't know if I can trust someone that doesn't listen, A, and B, you're expecting me to just take your word for it?"
"Would I lie about something so serious? You tell me when the last time my interests were not for the good of the public" John went quiet, Blossom knew he got the point now. "I'll answer any question you have that isn't pertaining to this mission. The reason I say this is because, I don't know much about what's happening myself, and what I do now I'd… I'd like to leave you an out, if it's too much for you." John gave a chuckle in response. Blossom didn't know what to say to that. "An out would've been you just leaving me alone."
"I can't do that, not now"
"Of course you can't" John rubbed his hands on his face, trying to reign in the anger he's probably feeling.

"Why me?" John asked, of course the question she didn't like the most, but best to get it out of the way now "I ran a background check on you."
"You what!?" John said, taking a few steps, but it's not like he could do anything to her. She understood why he was angry about it. "I didn't trust you in the slightest when you were snooping where you weren't supposed to be. Can you blame me? Not many people get that lucky from a building collapsing, then go back to try and figure out who did it." Blossom crossed her arms, looking up and down at John "if it's some vigilante string in you great, but I'm not going to sit by and let you or anyone else you drag with you get hurt if you decided to dive deeper into this rabbit hole." Which is partially true, she detested who she was talking to, but who knows what kind of connections he's got, and who he can talk to, to be able to get a strong lead quicker than the police or herself can. As well as rope along in this secret war he's trying to fight "What exactly did you find on me?" John hissed, Blossom gave a shrug in response "just some charges, laundering, assault and battery, then you started working and nothing else. I figured with your… background, you'd be able to do something we can't." John nodded, taking a deep breath and exhaling sharply.

It felt like an eternity since he said something else, Blossom felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. "Do your sisters know what you're doing? Tony?"
"They do, I filled them in last night" John started hanging on the beams supporting the antenna "anyone else you talk to about this?"
"Just you" Blossom watched him start to do pull ups, such a man thing to do whenever there's a suspending horizontal pole above them. "You gonna tell me what was in that bomb?"
"I can't, not until I'm one hundred percent sure"
"Who did it?"
"I don't know yet, I was going to try and figure something out once I got a lead" John was done with his pull ups as he approached Blossom. Looking down at her "a few rules, if you want me to trust you and make this work." Blossom didn't exhale her held breath, but it was something that she wasn't expecting "depends on what they are, but go ahead."
"First things first, if you want to find out who's doin' all this shit. You gotta make peace with that moral compass of yours, these guys are not gonna be satisfied with just hurtin' you and me"
"You really think they can hurt me or my sisters?"
"Never know, they can hurt your dad though, he ain't bulletproof" Blossom bit her lip as she glared at the ground "I'm not going to kill anyone"
"Which leads me to my next point, if you don't, I will"
"What!?"

"You're going on and on about the fate of the city, or the world, or our friends and family and all this bullshit." John backed up some "you're saying… that you wouldn't kill someone who has sights on your sister? Or your dad even? or your boyfriend… or girlfriend, I don't judge"
"I don't- look, that's not important right now"
"What is important is that one of us has to get our hands dirtier than the other. And with your pompous image you gotta keep up, it's gonna be me"
"Only if you do it, when there's absolutely no other way, even then I'll be watching you like a hawk" Blossom threatened "no innocents, either."
"Depends on who's actually innocent" John countered, taking a deep breath again, Blossom watched his features, seems he was content with taking a life, if need be, which should send up several red flags. "Whatever you do, whatever it is you find, figure out or fuckin' tear information from someone, you keep me in the loop. And I'll do the same for you."
"That's fair" she didn't have a problem with that, a good way to build trust "last thing" Blossom just stared "I get to use all of my former 'employers' for favors, which means they'll want something done in return. Don't know what it is, and I'm not gonna ask questions about it, so when I say I'm doing a favor in the future, don't think you can come and get a free arrest. We're gonna have to be ahead of the game, and the people I know, they got the cheat codes."
"Seems risky"
"No one asks for anything other than favors, the less you know the better for everyone. If they figure it out, I'm working with the person that threw so many of their people in the slammer, there goes our info." Blossom didn't think he would take this mission so seriously that he would care more for leads rather than his own life. Commendable in a sense.

"Aren't you going to get hurt if they find out?" John shook his head "nah, used to work for 'em, did a lot of things I ain't gonna repeat. Won't squeal on 'em either."
"Right, of course you wouldn't" Blossom huffed "alright, so, is there anything else?" John looked around and shook his head, his terms were set. "Besides the murder that you so adamantly want to do, I think everything else is moderately fair" she was feeling her stomach twist into a knot as she extended a hand "I accept them, however awful they may be."
"We gotta be dirty to keep the world clean princess" Blossom felt like she heard that somewhere before, getting back on track. John greeted her hand "no more following me around either, that's annoying."
"Don't worry it's no picnic for me either" Blossom said, with that, John handed her his phone "name and number, I'll text you mine, then we just stay silent until something happens." Blossom agreed, exchanging information she gathered her things "want me to get you down from here?"
"Nah, I'll enjoy the view some, plus I gotta make a few phone calls now" Blossom let him be, John turned away and started tapping away on his phone. She decided to get home as fast as possible, that took way longer than it needed to, and plus, she needs to get herself in the shower and be rid of this stench. Small strides were made today, while he wasn't the most ideal companion, at least someone's on her side that can help with this, even if it goes against everything she stood for.

He was right about one thing, that's for sure, sacrifices needed to be made, and she's sacrificing her entire moral code to eliminate this threat, no doubt he felt the same way. For now, though she'll keep this secret to herself, there's no need to tell her family that she made a pact with a criminal for the sake of the city. Though, she convinced herself that was the truth, maybe it was just something that could've been avoided entirely at the expense of this problem becoming bigger than it needed to be. She thought about what it's like all the way home, where she would change, shower, and drop off the vial that she wanted her dad to take a look at. Maybe there was some residue leftover of whatever was inside that could possibly give them a lead, however she has a hunch on what it might be. As she was about to fly off, she got a text from John.

It was an address and a time, what used to be a correctional facility turned into an office building for making children's toys. She made a face at this, but she's assuming he wants her there so they can do… whatever it is he wants to do there. The back of her head was screaming at her that it was a trap, another message 'wear black' was the only thing it said. Obviously, they weren't supposed to be there, and she was going to be sick, but he was probably not too happy about working with a hero such as her and dragging himself back into a life of crime. With a sigh she replied with a thumbs up, and went on her day, wondering what would be awaiting her at night.

Blossom felt vile dressed in nothing but black, her hair bunched up and suffering underneath her beanie. She felt as if she wasn't allowed to be out here, listening for John or anyone that might be out and about and spot her. That would be a hell of a thing to explain way out here in the dead of night, still, as much as it felt like she was alone, she wasn't. Hearing a knock on a car she turned around, ready to either explain or beat down whoever decided to creep up on her, with his hands up, John smirked "scare ya?"
"Not in the slightest" it was amazing how he managed to sneak up on her like that, but she figured he was experienced seeing as his history said so. "Why are we here John?"
"Got a tip, although all over the place, a lot of people been seeing one or two crates being moved out of here every week or so. Around the exact same time"
"And that's important because?"
"Because it's two in the morning and this place is closed, c'mon princess think, ain't that what you do?"
"Not like a criminal" she hissed at him, with a sigh he got right next to the gate, it seems the crates have already started moving.

The truck didn't have any markings, nor did the crates, but the people moving around seemed to be all of the same group. Hoodies with an X on the back or near the breast, three men, two women, all of them not saying a single word. Blossom tried to get a good look at who they were, but with the dark and them wearing masks, she couldn't see a thing. They hid by the fence behind a car. "don't know when the trucks gonna pull out, but when it does you follow it, I'll go inside and see if there's anything worth anything in there."
"Got it" after a while, the truck did take off, despite her best use of x-ray vision, the images were blurry "can't see anything in those trucks." While lead wasn't something that was one hundred percent fool proof against her x-ray vision, it did make whatever she saw fuzzy to the point of not being able to make out full images. "Lead walls?"
"Yeah, I think so," Blossom said. After a minute though she looked to John "how did you-" before she could finish her question, the truck started.

It'll have to wait until later, once the truck started moving, Blossom did her best to keep her trail hidden, looking down, John started to make his way inside. Slowly she followed the truck high in the sky, blending in with the night, the truck followed all traffic laws and kept a steady pace. Nothing incredibly out of the ordinary, it made sense seeing as they didn't want to attract attention to themselves. Looking inside it was one man and one woman, she couldn't hear much of anything save the engine running, all was quiet in the cab. She focused on not losing track of the truck, looked as if they were headed for the docks, Buttercup mentioned that there was a symbol around here. Maybe they are dead drops, but there's only one way to find out.

The truck stopped this time at a restaurant, a lot of civil places are being used to harbor whatever it is they're hauling. She'll have to come back and check this out, in fact, she sent the address to John, telling him they stopped there after they left the factory. Wondering what on earth the restaurant would have that they needed, using her x-ray while the boxes were being moved. It was jars of something, looking like either grease or jelly, but from how far she was from the sight, it was way too hard to be exact. After a little bit, approximately four crates of the jars were moved into the truck, and they didn't hesitate to move out.

Blossom watched the truck go into the wilds, taking a very precarious route through the dirt, it looked as if the vehicle was struggling to go where it needed to. Being able to see them easily from a distance with them having their headlights on, Blossom maintained her space from them this time. Though once the truck stopped, she would swoop in and take cover behind the trees, this time getting a good look on what was going on. She stayed hidden, surveying whoever these people were. Once the crates moved from the bed of the truck, she got a good look at everything going on now.

The first couple of crates that they got from the restaurant were indeed jars of grease, though what they needed the grease for she didn't quite understand. There were about four crates from what she counted, all filled with jars, maybe some sort of agent for a concoction? She can't say for certain, but now, the mystery crates had some sort of poly material in there. Used to make toys, the polymer was durable and safe for the abuse of children. But that was the extent of it as far as she knew, her fears started to rise when they might start making these x bombs for children, causing mass chaos all across Townsville.

After everything was unloaded from the truck and into the abandoned house of the former Fuzzy Lumpkins, she tried to peer into the house this time, but it too was lined with lead. She had a gist of an idea of what they were doing, seeing fuzzy images of people walking back and forth across some benches. Blossom couldn't risk being seen, so she moved slowly and carefully until she was free from the trees, and off she went back to the city. Texting John about the cabin in the woods.

As she hit send, she heard gunshots, three to be precise, looking around, she deduced that it was at the restaurant. She wasted no time getting over there, gunshots weren't unheard of in Townsville, but they were still shocking to the public. The police were in the back of her head as she went to the back door "John!?" She whispered, going into the door. The lights were dimmed, and there she saw John zipping up his hoodie "are you okay!?"
"You expected me not to be?"
"Of course I did! These people have guns!" how could he be so careless and nonchalant about something that could harm him, or even kill him? It was astounding how little he cared for his own safety "it's fine, nothing I couldn't handle"
"Just don't go dying on me when we still have work to do"
"My hero, worrying about my wellbeing" John quipped, though his sneer and sarcasm betrayed the meaning of the words. He was about to tell her something when he heard sirens off in the distance "meet me at the bar, south side of town."

Before Blossom could say anything he was out of the door, quickly looking around, Blossom flew off into the distance and away from everything. She wasn't one for bars, or drinking in general, so how in the world would she be able to find that? Looking around for John, he was long gone. She knew he was slippery, but being that slippery? That was talent if she ever saw it, but as she stood there trying to scan for him, she saw the flashing lights approaching the restaurant, and that was her cue to leave.

The bar was exactly how she imagined it, old music playing a jukebox that looks like it needs to be put out of its misery. A few patrons here and there dotted around, smoking, drinking, and most importantly minding their own business. Blossom sat across from John, would he be here, that is, the bar on the southside of town wasn't very descriptive, and she could only assume he meant this one. Swirling her soda in her glass and taking a sip, she hoped he would show up soon, it was quite intimidating to be here despite her being invincible.

As if he heard her thoughts, John eventually showed up and joined her in the corner booth, looking over him he didn't have a scratch on him. Narrowing her eyes at him, this wasn't the first time he came out seriously unharmed from something potentially life-ending. Nonetheless that was a question for another time "finally glad you could make it"
"Why? You miss me?" John waved at the bartender and held up two fingers "hope you like the taste of dishwater."
"I don't drink"
"You better start if we're gonna keep coming here"
"I could fly us somewhere private"
"And be humiliated? Please" two bottles of beer as requested. Blossom looked at the beverage in distaste "you really drink this?"
"Only on the day's that end in 'y'" he smirked, popping the cap with his thumb, then, doing the same to the other bottle. Blossom didn't take the drink at first, but held it to make sure she blended in better, supposing it was better than water or soda.

"Well, did you find anything?" John asked, he would reach into his hoodie and pull out a manila envelope "take a look at those when you get home, I already read 'em" Blossom would take the envelope and put them in her jacket. "I found out a lot when trailing them. When they stopped at the restaurant, they got jars full of grease and used cooking oil. I'm not sure what they would be used for, but, nothing good." She took a sip of the beer absentmindedly, she immediately recoiled at the taste "gosh that's… that's awful"
"Sorry they didn't have any wine or chardonnay available" John took a healthy drink of his own, and motioned for her to continue "well, after that they went to a cabin where a man called Fuzzy Lumpkins used to live."
"I remember him, crazy hermit hick right?"
"Yeah, he came around more often than once" Blossom always wondered what happened to him. Bubbles recalls seeing him and even speaking to him, but he was far too far from society, good for him.

"His old cabin wasn't torn down and they use that to make whatever it is they're making there" John nodded along as Blossom explained everything. "Did you find out what was in those crates from the toy factory?"
"Polymer, it's used to make the plastic that most toys are made from. While it's not like steel, it's pretty durable." John leaned back as he stroked his beard. Blossom mimicked his actions, though, she scratched her head seeing as her hair was sticking into her scalp. "What are you thinking?"
"Well… If I'm being honest, we have two outcomes, both very bad" Blossoms eyes scanned his expression, he was taking this seriously now. "One, they're gonna make bombs out of kids toys and it's gonna go all over. Or two, they're making napalm"
"You can make napalm with just plastic and grease?" Blossom didn't quite believe it, neither one of them were chemists, but this concoction barely made sense. "Not just those two, they'd need some sort of spark. The problem with oil is if you hit it with water it-"
"It spreads" Blossom finished, John nodded along "smart"

"Are you seriously complimenting the bad guys?" Blossom chastised, he gave another shrug "look every fire department at the start is going to try and hit these fires with water. But it'll only make it worse."
"If we somehow use sand or something else to stomp it out, maybe we'd have a better chance."
"Or a metric shit ton of baking soda" John said, taking another drink "but good luck with that." Blossom took another drink from her beer, not thinking about it, but again she recoiled at it. "But the problem is we don't even know what they're gonna do with it, or where."
"Me and my sisters will keep an ear to the ground moving forward, got anything planned for tomorrow?" John nodded "work, and a favor"
"What kind of favor?" Blossom inquired, John just gave her the 'look', she knows it seeing as she does it herself to Buttercup quite often. "Remember the rules princess"
"Stop calling me that, it's infuriating"

"Just calls it how I sees it" Blossom groaned slightly to herself, John couldn't help but laugh. After a shared moment of silence between the two, John finally piped up "you did good work though pinky"
"Would it kill you to use my real name?"
"Just might, don't wanna give you that satisfaction" he joked. Blossom did her twenty seventh eyeroll since they met "…thank you, John, you did well too. Are you hurt at all?"
"I'm aight, wouldn't be the first time I was outgunned" he said. With one more moment of silence between them, Blossom pushed her beer towards him "leavin'?"
"Yeah, I've got to fill in Buttercup and Bubbles on what happened, and then we'll go from there."
"Well if you want another late-night excursion, you know how to reach me" John said, with a smirk he would grab Blossom's drink and gulp some of it "stay out of trouble."
"No promises" with a raise of his bottle, Blossom would make her way to the exit.

Once she was in the sky, free as a bird, she took her cap off and let her scalp breath. Inhaling the crisp night air and feeling it fill her lungs, she smiled. While she didn't stop anything from being done in the future, she felt a step closer to unmasking whatever evil-doer might be behind this. Blossom would take off slowly towards home, eventually picking up speed, eager to get out of this dark clothing and into something a bit more her taste. All the while she was recalling the events in her head, and clutching the envelope John gave her.

John Bullion.

An interesting man that's for sure. He might get under her skin and his very presence might drive everyone in his general vicinity insane. John's methods also aren't very… good, for lack of a better word, but she can't deny the quick results they got. Blossom couldn't help but wonder what kind of favors he was doing in return for this information, but she'll have to watch him one day after all of this is said and done. She still doesn't trust him, not by a longshot, but it's obvious he can hold his own and he believes in their partnership enough for her to tag along with this objective.

He very well could've done this all himself, but they wouldn't have gotten nearly as much information as they did. Plastic dolls that acted as time bombs weren't ideal, and they needed a way to get rid of them quickly. The job was made for the PowerPuff girls who were designed to fight this type of crime, now more than ever, there was no way they couldn't defuse any bombs that might reveal themselves. They could take the punishment it would bring, or at least get rid of them at the beach, which, now that she thinks about it, would be a good secondary option should something happen. All three of them clearing the beach could drown out any fires in an instant.

Blossom deduced that they had a backup now, and as she sat down in her room, she immediately got rid of everything she had on save her undergarments. Putting on a big t-shirt in substitution, she packed everything away and would return them to Buttercup tomorrow. For now, the first thing she should do in the morning is review this file that John managed to grab. She would try and hold her curiosity until the next day, but based on the big bold letters that said 'Deliveries', it might be important for tomorrow night if anything comes up.

Blossom said on her bed with her hair splayed out behind her, like giving her wings, turning over on her side and clicking the light off. She felt like a lot of good was done today, there wouldn't be much that could stop her once the ball really gets rolling. With an informant like John, hopefully he keeps his favors going, and this whole mess can be dealt with quickly. But that's a problem for future Blossom, present Blossom needed some rest and relaxation for the events tomorrow, whether planned or sporadic. Slowly her eyes would shut as she heard the birds starting to wake up before the sun ever could.
