After their little adventure at the Great Tree, everyone had been walking for days since the caravan was gone. Lilith, Eda, and King were trying to relax for a bit since Rapunzel had everyone take a break so they could gather up more food for the road ahead. Luz and Amity were doing a small date while Willow and Gus trained. Cass placed an apple on a sleeping Hook Foot's head and tried to use it as target practice, but Eugene walked by and snatched the apple off Hook Foot's head. Cass got annoyed with Eugene when he took the apple while Hook Foot was angrier at Cass for almost shooting it off his head.
Just then, Lance snatched the apple from Eugene's hand just as he was about to eat. Max then swooped in and knocked Lance to the ground, but Ruddiger took the apple before Max caught it. Pretty soon, all five of them were wrestling for the last apple, Ruddiger was teasing Max since he missed having real apples. Rapunzel, Pascal, Varian, Sapphire, Flapjack, and Hunter were picking bimberries when they heard the fighting going on. "Has this happened before?" Varian asked.
"Yep. Apple brawls never end in a fair term." Rapunzel answered.
Flapjack took a few berries out of Hunter's basket for a snack, he even shared some with Sapphire. Pascal noticed a poster then he handed it to Rapunzel who was excited, this was just the thing for everyone to unwind. Rapunzel got everyone to stop what they were doing to break the news; that they were all going to see Hook Hand in concert. "Not only will seeing some real live entertainment give us a chance to unwind and get our mind off the road, and each other. It'll be a Hook Brothers reunion." Rapunzel said before hugging Hook Foot.
Hook Foot looked a little enthusiastic hearing that they were all going to see his older brother in concert. He looked at the poster to see that the concert was tomorrow and it's in West Ipsil which was a three-day walk. He figured that they wouldn't make it on time; though Rapunzel tried to get them to walk the whole way without eating, drinking, or sleeping, Eda had a better idea. They could just fly there on the witches' palismen, it was easier and less exhausting than Rapunzel's plan. Eda, Luz, and King took Owlbert while Lilith had Cass on her palismen. Eugene was with Amity, Rapunzel was with Varian, Hook Foot got Willow, Lance was with Hunter, and Shorty and the horses were being levitated by Willow's magic.
They managed to make it to West Ipsil and just in time for Hook Hand's concert; he played beautifully and ended the night with a big finale. Rapunzel dragged everyone out of the venue to say hi to Hook Hand. They found Hook Hand's caravan which had six horses, huge and decorated with music notes and gold. Rapunzel knocked on his door and then turned to Hook Foot saying that he must be so proud of his brother. Eda noticed something was off with Hook Foot, but he claimed that he was just tired. Hook Hand came out looking annoyed but then his expression changed when he saw Rapunzel.
The two hugged and he said that he was surprised that they came all this way to see his show. Eugene tried to play nice with Hook Hand, but he offered to shake hands with his hook, so Eugene backed away slowly. The second Hook Hand saw his brother, his face lit up. "Razzle Dazzle is that you?" he asked.
"Razzle Dazzle?" Lance, Eugene, and Varian questioned.
Hook Hand pulled his brother for a big hug though Hook Foot hated that the hug still hurts when he uses the hook. Hook Hand then asked if his brother was still dazzling everyone with his silly dancing before laughing. Rapunzel looked shocked to learn that Hook Foot was a dancer; Hook Hand stated that dancing was his brother's dream. Hook Foot just stated that he was done with dancing and that made Hook Hand smile. Hook Hand invited everyone for a tour of his new digs which they were so excited about. Rapunzel tried to get Hook Foot to join them, but he wasn't going, he confessed that Hook Hand teased him for having a dancing dream and he gave it up.
Rapunzel had no idea that Hook Hand treated him like that, but Hook Foot stated that it was just ancient history. Suddenly, Hook Hand came out of the caravan "Got some good news for ya. Turns out, we're headed in the same direction. You guys are ridin' with me." Hook Hand said, excitedly.
The next day, everyone travels in style in Hook Hand's caravan to a glamorous destination wedding for Hook Hand's patron who is a king. His whole caravan was all gold, encrusted, and jeweled, he even had different styles of hooks that were either gold. diamond, or bejeweled. Lance and Shorty were drinking lemonade and soaking in a golden tub saying that it doesn't get any better than this. Lilith had to help Luz and King hold Eda back from stealing any of Hook Hand's stuff. Rapunzel talked to Hook Foot who was sitting on the couch muttering his thoughts.
She told him that people change over time which made Hook Foot remember that he had changed as well. They saw Hook Hand acting like a gentleman; he pulled out chairs for Cass and Willow, gave a huge bowl of bimberries to the palismen, Pascal, and Ruddiger; he even gave Amity, Varian, Gus, and Hunter cupcakes with a smile. Rapunzel told Hook Foot that everybody deserves a second chance. They didn't see Hook Hand grab Eugene and trap him in a closet before grabbing a snack. Hook Foot tried to make peace with his brother, but he just bragged about how he was living the dream. He even played the piano, singing about his perfect life and roasted Hook Foot's dreams.
"I can't believe he treats you like that," Hunter stated.
They finally saw Eugene in the closet and got him out. Eugene suggested that Hook Foot should go for revenge against his brother. Rapunzel turned down Eugene's idea and told Hook Foot to be direct about his feelings. Hook Hand announced that they had arrived at their destination. Just as he was getting ready, Hook Foot marched up to him and told him that he hated how he made fun of his talents and interests growing up, he wanted an apology. Hook Hand just scoffed and stated that it was just ancient history, and that he should get over it. That made Hook Foot so mad that he stomped out of the caravan, slamming the door.
"If he wants to act like a baby, let him. I got a show to do, and my patron does not like to be kept waiting. He can be a real jerk." Hook Hand stated.
"How big of a jerk do you have to be for Hook Hand to call you a jerk?" Eugene questioned.
Well, he got his answer because Hook Hand's patron was none other than King Trevor of Equis. He was practically yelling at Hook Hand for being three minutes late and calling him an impunctual, lumpy-faced melody pirate. Eugene rolled his eyes seeing Trevor again after the prank he and Rapunzel's father played on Trevor. "Who's the snobby king jerk face?" Eda asked.
"That's King Trevor of Equis. He has a thing for pranking Corona and having pet seals." Eugene answered.
Rapunzel went to confront Trevor, and he instantly recognized Rapunzel and Eugene, who smirked at him, Trevor reminded him that he was still wanted in Equis. Although he was going to spare Eugene since he was his thievery that led Trevor Jr into the flippers of his true lover Lucille. Luz and Rapunzel saw that the two people Trevor was talking about were two seals. "Those two seals are getting married?! It's a seal wedding?! So adorable!" Luz squealed.
Rapunzel glared at Trevor then she and Luz went to hug the seal couple and congratulate them. Trevor turned back to Hook Hand telling him that once the ceremony had ended, he would give the couple a dance, representing the glory of their love since Trevor is a world-class dancer. He warned Hook Hand that if he played even a single foul note, he would revoke his support for his music and send him back to the Stinky Weasel. Trevor stormed off in a rage while Hook Hand went back into his caravan to get ready. Rapunzel followed Hook Hand inside to give him a little chat.
During the ceremony, there were mostly seals as guests while Rapunzel and her friends were the only normal guests besides Trevor's guards. Just as Trevor was about to do his dance, Hook Hand got up from his piano and cleared his throat. "Ladies and gentlemen, and seals. I got something I want to say. Playing the piano for people like you was always my dream. And I'm living my dream because people that could've laughed at me, didn't. But the truth is, I haven't always been as supportive of other people's dreams as I should have." Hook Hand stated.
Trevor was getting impatient but once Hook Hand was finished with his speech he sat back down at his piano. Hook Foot's face went pale, Varian overheard Lance say that he smelled fish and that was when he saw why Hook Foot's face went pale. Hook Foot had put fish inside his brother's piano to ruin the performance. He tried to stop his brother, but it was too late, the second Hook Hand played the piano, it was off-key, and fish were flapping around inside the piano. The whole crowd heard the out-of-tune notes; Trevor was raging mad now and stomped over to Hook Hand.
"You are a failure. And as of this moment, I am revoking my support of your music. Guards. Remove this leather-clad, silly mustached gremlin from my sight." Trevor ordered.
But before the guards could grab Hook Hand, Hook Foot stepped in. "How dare you talk to my brother that way! He's got more talent in that one hand of his than you got in your entire body." Hook Foot bravely said to Trevor.
Rapunzel stepped in at that moment saying that Hook Foot was the best dancer in Corona, and he could dance Trevor under the table. Trevor didn't really believe it and started to laugh; he stopped when he realized they were serious. Trevor challenged Hook Foot to a dance-off; if Hook Foot wins then Trevor will double his contributions to Hook Hand, but if Trevor wins then he'll make sure that Hook Hand never plays another note again. Hook Hand encouraged his brother to win the dance-off, Shorty managed to clear out all the fish from the piano by eating them. Hook Hand then gestured for Rapunzel to join him, Varian even stepped up and sat with Hook Hand at the piano.
Both Trevor and Hook Foot started to warm up for the dance-off. Eugene looked at Rapunzel who was playing her guitar and couldn't help but worry, they were betting Hook Hand's entire future on Hook Foot's ability to dance. Rapunzel reminded him that you can't activate a dream without first risking failure. Trevor proclaimed the dance-off rules which are where the first dancer goes and then the second dancer shall match and embellish. After the dance-off, Lucille shall choose the winner. "All these people here and you pick the seal to be the judge?" Amity asked, annoyed.
"Of course. That is, after all, her official title. She is the 'Seal of Approval.'" Trevor answered.
The entire crowd groaned at Trevor's pun but only he laughed at it. He started to do a few steps which were ok, but when Hook Foot did the steps, he was amazing. The two were going head-to-head, toe-to-toe with every dance. When Trevor grabbed a rose with his mouth from a vase, Hook Foot grabbed an entire bouquet with his mouth. Trevor did the worm dance but got bested by Hook Foot's Irish step dance. With neither one letting up, it was getting harder and harder to pick a winner. Trevor boldly did a Russian-style dance, but Hook Foot did a freestyle dance which was going well until he accidentally stepped on his hook, bending it.
Hook Foot hobbled over to Rapunzel, Varian, and his brother thinking that it was over, he couldn't dance without his hook, and he was going to let his brother down. Rapunzel was about to give him a pep talk, but Hook Hand beat her to it. He told his brother to dig down deep, find some guts, and show Chump Trevor what real talent looks like. He then took off his gold and bejeweled hook and handed it to Hook Foot. "It's only for true artistes." he stated, "Now get in there, and live your dream."
With the new hook on his foot, Hook Foot was able to dance his heart out and crush Trevor. Hook Hand wore his old hook then both he and Varian played on the piano together. His movement was so beautiful that it even made Trevor cry. The big final for Hook Foot's dance was when he climbed up the arch, hooked on it then spun around so much that gold sparks came from his new hook. After he was done, Trevor walked up with Lucille behind him ready to choose the winner. Two horns with Trevor and Hook Foot's names were placed in front of her to choose from.
She looked over at Trevor and then Hook Foot; she was about to honk Trevor's horn but instead, she honked Hook Foot's horn, declaring him the winner. Everyone was cheering and celebrating Hook Foot's victory when Trevor decided to recreate Hook Foot's move on the arch. But he fell off mid-twirl and ended up crashing straight into the big wedding cake. Almost everyone was laughing at Trevor's downfall, Eda was laughing at him most of all. "You know what they say, the bad guy always gets his just desserts." Eda jokes.
After the wedding, Hook Hand surprises Hook Foot by telling him that he would like to have his brother join him on the road. He even made a banner that said, the Brothers Hook Song and Dance, world of colorful language Extravaganza. Hook Foot was so excited, but it would mean that he would have to leave his friends. Rapunzel told him that this was his chance to follow his own destiny and his dream. He thanked Rapunzel then both he and his brother took off in the caravan. Now the others had to go on foot to travel to the Dark Kingdom.
As they were leaving, Hunter turned to Varian, "I didn't know you played piano." Hunter stated.
Varian blushed "I'm not that good. It's just a little hobby. My mother used to play and when I was younger I found her old sheet music and taught myself." He answered.
"Hobby or not. I thought you were amazing." Hunter claimed then he kissed Varian on the cheek.
