Hey everyone, so this is a lot faster than my other updates, There's a reason for that. So I've been rereading this awesome story on AO3, it's called "Haryana and the Determination to make the Adults Deal with the Adult Problems" and it's really awesome. It's actually inspired me to write a new story, I'm a little hesitant posting it since it's a topic I've not written about before but I really like it and I have big plans, I was uninspired to write until I started the first chapter and then my inspo came back like a monster!

And it wasn't just inspiration for writing, no I've been writing songs, posting more on my gacha club youtube channel (Yes I have one, no I am not ashamed), and recording more videos for my Gaming youtube channel! I'm really energized with this story, I hope you all like it if you don't that's fine though.

Onto reviews!

Aeonmaster Aeroza chapter 20 . Sep 8

I love this story so far, and wondered if you plan on other ghosts showing up, and in terms, other franchises that could match that? I bet it would work during summer or during the school terms as such as brainstorming ideas from one fellow Writer/Author to another.

I do think though, when Crystal is 14, you could get away with an Au-based version of this story with it being crossed with Au-based and cannon worlds of Kingdom Hearts, perhaps?

Other then that, we need some written detials of the Phantom Trio themselves as their older selves, and you forgot by fans stating either as his Clone Younger Sibling or Daughter to one Danny Phantom: Dani Phantom. By this point she would have to be close to Crystal's age.

Other then that, I cannot wait to see more of this story.

Me: Firstly I'm glad you're enjoying my story, I don't know if I'll add any more Danny Phantom ghosts to the story yet but there's still plenty of time for me to decide on that. I'm most likely not going to make this another crossover, especially not Kingdom Hearts since I don't know that series at all and I don't want to offend people by getting things wrong.

Secondly, I mentioned the fact that Dani doesn't actually exist yet, I have a lot of plans for her in the future but right now isn't the right time. She's my favorite Danny Phantom character so she WILL be in this story eventually just not right now.

But yeah, in the future you'll get more discriptions of the phantom trio for sure.

Onto the story!

Crystal hesitated outside the room where she was supposed to meet Fred and George so she could explain things to them. She hadn't told anyone about being half-ghost except for her cousin, and that was when she was six. Unlike Danny, Crystal kept her secret life well hidden. Even full ghosts didn't know about her being a halfa, except for Frostbite, but she didn't count him since she wasn't the one who told him. Danny had asked if he could tell Frostbite since the ghost was a healer and could help Crystal if anything happened to her.

So she had only told one person about being a halfa, and she didn't know how to tell others without traumatizing them! When she and Dudley were younger, neither of them understood what being half-ghost meant. As they grew up and realized the gravity of Crystal's situation, they had already had years to get used to the idea, so they didn't think much about the logic and horror behind being half-dead.

But the Weasley twins were well aware when it came to death and ghosts. They went to school in a haunted castle and interacted with ghosts often. The two older boys were going to be horrified when they learned how this had happened.

Taking a deep breath, she slowly let it out before phasing through the door, enjoying the way the twins jumped. If she had to tell them about her secret, she might as well get payback for the scare they gave her yesterday. Speaking of…

"You know, when you two scared me yesterday, I almost seriously hurt you with an ecto-blast?" As she spoke, she powered up an ecto-blast and shot the wall, leaving a scorch mark behind. Both twins paled when they saw it.

"Oh," one of the twins said, staring at the wall.

"Yeah, oh," Crystal rolled her eyes, grabbed one of the old chairs, and plopped down on it. "Ask your questions, and I'll do my best to answer them."

"How did this happen?" the twin on the left asked after a few minutes.

Crystal sighed. "Getting right into the heavy questions, huh?" She adjusted how she was sitting, feeling the uneven wood digging into one of her legs.

"I was six, and I was involved in an accident with another person. His parents are ghost hunters, and—"

One of the twins cut her off. "Ghost hunters? Are those like witch hunters?"

She hummed. "I guess, kind of. I mean, he found out his ancestors actually were witch hunters back in the old days, but that doesn't mean they're like the hunters of back then."

She looked at the twins seriously. "His parents believed that ghosts were just ecto remains of people who died—imprints, really—and thought ghosts couldn't feel emotions like happiness or love. They believed that all ghosts wanted to haunt and hurt the living, so by hunting ghosts, they thought they were protecting their town and their children. They're not bad people, just misinformed."

"They've since learned better and now only hunt evil ghosts or ones attacking people. Even then, they don't kill or try to hurt the ghosts—they just release them back into the Ghost Zone like their son," Crystal smiled slightly as she thought back to the Fenton parents. They had really improved since she first met them.

"So you're safe around them?" one of the twins asked, breaking her out of her thoughts.

"Oh yeah, I'm safe. So is their son, who's also a halfa like me. And yes, everyone who knows about this finds it really ironic that the ghost hunters' son became a half-ghost," Crystal said dryly. She was thankful Danny let her tell these two about him. She wasn't using names, though, just in case the twins tried to tell others about this.

"So what was the accident that caused this?"

She sighed. "I wasn't lying when I said I was exposed to a lot of ectoplasm when I was younger, which caused my allergy to blood blossoms. I just left out that it wasn't just ectoplasm; it was also electricity. Kind of like when someone gets struck by lightning, only turned up to eleven," she explained in a way she hoped the wizards would understand.

"The ghost hunters were trying to build a portal to the Ghost Zone in their basement. I don't even know why, maybe to see if they could?" She shrugged. "But it didn't work. Their son and his friends were watching me at the time, and when they got distracted, I snuck into the portal to check it out. When they noticed, the son rushed in after me but accidentally pushed the 'on' button."

"The 'on' button?" one of the twins asked, clearly confused.

Crystal snorted. "Yeah, it was on the inside. These hunters are very smart, but they can be so dumb sometimes—no one denies that. Anyway, after the button was pushed, the portal powered up before we could get out. He and I were shocked by ectoplasm and electricity at the same time, killing us while keeping us alive simultaneously." She stopped to look at the horrified expressions on the twins' faces.

"Yeah, while the ectoplasm killed us, the electricity revived us until the portal spat us out, and Tada, we were half-ghosts—alive yet dead at the same time, trapped between two worlds." Crystal gave a bitter smile.

"That must have been horrifying as a child," one of the twins whispered, the other nodding in shock.

"Yeah, I didn't really understand much since I was six, but it's horrifying when I think about it now. Don't get me wrong, I love having these powers and being able to help people and keep them safe," she sighed and leaned back in her chair, "but I wish I didn't have to die halfway to get them. I don't know what will happen to me in the future. I don't know if I can die fully or not. No one wants to test it out."

She paused and mumbled, "At least no one sane wants to test it. There are a few evil ghosts who would love to see if a halfa can die fully."

She spent the rest of the day answering questions and just talking to the twins. She even turned into her ghost form and used her powers to take them flying, one at a time. They were both excited when she turned them invisible and flew through the wall with them in her arms. As soon as she finished flying with them, they both begged her to join in on their pranks.

She gladly agreed to help out with their pranks once in a while.

A few months later, it was Halloween when Crystal, as Sapphire, brought back the house ghosts.

Everyone there was shocked to see the changes in the two ghosts.

The ghost known as the Grey Lady had pale, almost translucent blue skin. In some lighting, it looked silver, so it seemed as if her skin was slowly shifting from blue to silver and back again. Her skin shimmered slightly, showing off her ethereal nature.

Her long hair was now white with silver highlights, making it look like it was moving on its own. Some people would swear her hair was waving in a nonexistent breeze.

Her eyes looked the most human, but they were still inhuman. They were a soft, icy blue and glowed in the candlelight. Her eyes reflected her sadness and the wisdom she had gained over the thousand years she had haunted the castle.

She was wearing new robes. The robes were still in the same medieval style as her old ones. Her new robes were light blue with white trims, reflecting her new icy theme. The sleeves were long and flowed over her hands, leaving just her fingertips exposed. Her long skirt faded into mist at the bottom where it met her feet. She wore light blue flats.

She glowed gently, giving off a soft light that would brighten any dark room.

Eyes turned to Nearly Headless Nick as they took in the changes in the Gryffindor house ghost.

Nick's skin was a silvery green, looking both regal and eerie at the same time. He seemed a bit sick with the green skin, and people wondered why Sapphire had pale, human-like skin when both the Grey Lady and Nearly Headless Nick had unnatural skin tones.

His hair was medium length, and the silvery locks floated gently around his head, giving off a playful aura that matched his personality.

His eyes glowed a soft sea green, reflecting his happiness at having a physical body. The Grey Lady had the same happiness in her eyes. Crystal knew she'd spent the last few weeks since gaining a physical body reading every book she could get her hands on.

She had grown close to Ghostwriter, and Crystal wouldn't be surprised if she heard about those two starting to date one day in the future.

Nick's clothing was new too, but like the Grey Lady, his clothes reflected the time he was alive in. He wore a red, puffy-sleeved doublet with a large, golden, frilly ruff around his neck. Behind the ruff was a strange metal choker around his neck. No one knew what that was for. He had big, puffy brown pants and black boots on his feet.

His aura was different from the Grey Lady's. His felt playful, while hers felt a bit cold. He glowed softly, just like she did, and people closest to him claimed they felt safe near the light.

The headmaster stood up from his throne-like chair, his eyes wide and his surprise clear on his face. "Nick, Grey Lady, what has happened to you two?"

The Gray Lady spoke up, her voice soft with a faint echo, "We have healed from our sickness. I have learned much from the Ghost Zone, and one of those things is that it is true—ghosts are not supposed to be away from the world of the ghosts for too long."

Nick spoke next, his voice carrying the same faint echo as the Gray Lady's. "The healer Frostbite learned that it was only thanks to our magic that we've been able to stay on this plane. If it weren't for our magic, we would have ceased to exist after a few years of being formed."

Crystal nodded. "Yes, it's fortunate that you had magic to keep you here, though it's highly suspected that the magic is what kept you from the Zone in the first place." She turned to the rest of the Hogwarts ghosts with a smile. The gathered ghosts were clearly shocked. "Would anyone else like to come to the Zone and get better? Despite knowing you're sick, I will not force you to come—it will be your choice."

The ghosts that were still transparent exchanged looks before the Fat Friar spoke. "I would like to go. I would very much enjoy being able to feel things once again."

Moaning Myrtle raised her hand, eyes bright. "I want to go! I would love to be able to have a physical body again!"

Soon enough, the rest of the ghosts agreed—some hesitantly, but they still agreed. Crystal turned to the Headmaster, who looked like he'd just sucked on a lemon. "I'll bring these ghosts back in a month—"

Before she could say anything else, Professor Quirrell burst in, screaming about a troll in the dungeons, before he passed out.

There was a beat of silence before chaos ensued. What no one knew was that Quirrell had to resort to his troll plan when he realized that Crystal Potter was nowhere to be found. After discreetly asking Professor Flitwick, he learned that the girl had asked to be excused from the feast, as she didn't feel like celebrating the day she had lost her parents. After hearing her request, he agreed she didn't have to attend the feast.

This meant he couldn't put blood blossoms in her food. His master had been very unhappy to learn they couldn't kill the girl that night.
