Chapter 12. Reunion

Unlike yesterday's cloudy sky, the sun gradually rose, and a clear blue sky spread out. But apart from that, it was a very different combination from Toronto's gray and silent, also destroyed landscape.

Everyone just kept walking. borrowed Genji's shoes and put them over her mech control shoes, and Sombra was still a little stiff, but she was eagerly walking with a cured ankle. Tracer was walking like a ghost, without her usual cheerful personality, but limping, full of fatigue. Mei and Brigitte didn't look very good either. Pharah broke her helmet during the battle, so she was just walking with her black hair exposed. There was not much fuel left for the thrusters, too. Kiriko, Kim, Genji and Hanzo brothers didn't look very good either.

Kim was anxious because this situation keep reminds him the memory of the Omnic Takeback operation in 1986. Jordan, who first mutated by the virus without knowing anything, then Berk and Albert, who disappeared into that Kon Tum River. Vincent, who died after stepping on a landmine, Brian, who was killed by Turner while got infected by the omnic virus, and Turner, who also committed suicide due to fear of the virus, and finally, Joseph, who was injured by a landmine that Vincent stepped on and eventually died of blood loss…. He shook his head once and tried to shake it off. It wasn't a good memory to keep pondering, and it just makes him miss the dead platoon members more. Now was the time to keep these fellas here, not to die as them back in the day.

Sombra had been thinking about something for a while and approached Kim.

"Kim."

"Yeah?"

"Let me ask you something. Why, I mean, why did you come to rescue me earlier? Of course, I'm not saying that I have any complaints about that."

"…. What do you mean? Do we now need a reason to save people?"

"No, rather than that. I don't know completely which side you're on yet, but the majority of people here were aiming to arrest me in normal times, and in that situation earlier, I was wondering if it might have been a good opportunity for you guys to get rid of one enemy easily."

"Oh, there was a good chance back there. We should have done it then."

"Brigitte! Watch your word! You just can't say everything because you have your own mouth!"

Kim gets ratty at Brigitte's sarcasm. Then, he turned his head back to Sombra.

"Well, if you were in my position, and I were in your position, maybe there could have been a different outcome. However, no matter of just between the enemy and the allies, just abandoning endangered someone will never be possible in my belief. If I have to deal with you because you are my enemy, then I would compete with you fair and squarely through battle and confrontation, not let you die alone, cowardly to myself."

Sombra listened to Kim's saying without said anything.

"But, in a way, you can use it as some kind of strategy, Kim, to cause the enemy to self-destruct."

"Dammit, What's wrong with you, Mr. Hanzo? At least we have to distinguish what we can tell to someone or not. So, Som. Uh, where were we?"

"Uh, nothing, but...…. Thanks. For coming back for me."

Sombra spoke without making eye contact with Kim. Kim snorted once and said, slapping Sombra on the back.

"Cheer up, lady! We haven't found the bomb yet! How much work you and Brigitte still have to do..."

Similar to the previous one, Kim couldn't even finish his speech properly. This time, a bullet flew in and hit the place in front of Kim's feet, causing pieces of stone to pop up. Everyone reflexively hid behind covers on the street.

"Oh, for God's sake of this Toronto! How long do we have to even struggle?!"

Kim raged. At the moment, in a long distance, they could hear Zarya's voice.

"You missed it, Echo! How can you shoot worse than me?"

Also, Sojourn's voice resonated, too.

"Zarya, this is not a shooting match! This is a defense! Did you check how many of them in front of us?"

"Uh, there are about 10."

Kim sighed, and shouted. Those fools have mistaken us as infected.

"Hold fire, hold fire! We're friendly!"

There was a moment of silence, and a Sojourn's cry was heard.

"Who's there? Show yourself!"

"Captain, ma'am! uh, if you don't mind, would you please take out the guns away? Uh, I don't think I've done anything wrong enough to get shot by you recently!"

"… Kim?"

Kim got up from the cover and held the rifle above his head and shook it.

"1st Squad is here!"

Sojourn, Echo, Zarya, and Cassidy, who were looking this way from a distance, could be seen.

"Get over here, quick! It's been crazy here, too, since yesterday!"

The 1st and 2nd squads were finally reunited. Only one night has passed, but the whole 1st squad, including Kim, showed not that much of good appearance due to stresses such as fatigue and cold. However, the same was also true for the 2nd squad, including Sojourn, who looked haggard mostly.

"Captain, ma'am, the hell have you been through?"

"We only searched the CF Toronto Centre once, but got ambushed, collectively. Fortunately, no one died, but we had to deal with some injuries to defeat them all."

Lùcio and Baptiste were sitting with bandages in each of their limbs.

"Lùcio, Baptiste. Are you both OK?"

"Kim, how the hell did you fight with those in 100 years ago?"

Lùcio asked with a grim look. Baptiste also rubbed his eyes and said.

"Kim, I think this is the first time I've regretted joins the Overwatch ever before."

Junkrat was sitting still without his usual crazy side, and downcast.

"Junk, what's going on? Why are you so depressed?"

"The bomb... I've used it up. Junkrat can't have fun without bombs... How should I fight now…?"

Kim sighed once, and took out four MK2 grenades from the buttpack, and gave them to Junkrat.

"Will this make you feel better?"

As soon as Junkrat saw the grenade, he jumped up in delight.

"Yay! You're the best, Kim!"

The Junker Queen, who was looking at the scene, retorts at Kim.

"Hey, Kim! Why do you keep giving bombs on him?! I thought that he was finally stops that crazy things."

"What can I do, Your Majesty? This fella only does his works when there are bombs on his hands."

Although it was fortunate enough to them, meet the 2nd squad safely and that nothing serious happened, but the operation itself was not in very good going. Because even Sojourn's 2nd squad had failed to detect or find bombs. They were only hoping for good news from 1st squad, but knew that the situation in the neighborhood above there, was also very bad.

"…. Did you get any contacts from the General Gunn, ma'am?"

"The Pearson International Airport search team. It seems true that they got wiped out because of the crash earlier in the day. Because of the possibility of another anti-aircraft weapon exist, so the aircraft management has potentially halted right now. The reserve unit approached to the airport via ground transportation from Hamilton and Mississauger, but in the end, they found nothing. Same as East York, North York and Bendale. After all, no bombs were found yet."

"God dammit..."

Kim put his hands on the back of his head and looked at downtown Toronto, with a confused face.

"How about the Commander Jack's team?"

"I've tried it, but we can't even check if the transmission is in or out now. Soon after we communicate with General Gunn, then the radio has fallen into the water."

Kim looked at the city in dismay, and asked back in surprise at every word of Sojourn.

"Sorry, ma'am? What do you mean, the water?"

Sojourn shook the hair once, which was still wet, and continued.

"When we retreated from the Eaton Centre, we were chased by a few giant Omnics as well as the infected. As we passed through Nathan Phillips Square Garden, some of us cooperated, and managed to shoot down one of them, which fell into the pond in front of the square, and exploded. Thanks for that, we should take a small shower that wasn't amusing that much. And, even, we do lose our radio."

Sojourn frowned as she covers up her forehead, because of the strange migraine that was starts to bothering her since a while ago. But Kim was the one who experienced more fear and trauma about the water than anyone else in here. What's more, for Kim, her facial expression was something out of the ordinary.

"Uh, Captain, ma'am? I'm sorry, but… It may seem a little strange to question all of a sudden, but your artificial body. Is it only the limbs are, and the rest of is still are the human body, isn't it?"

"More exactly, some of the internal organs of the body are now artificial organs, too. But why all of a sudden?"

"Excuse me for a moment, ma'am."

Kim put his right hand on Sojourn's forehead. Everyone around him and Sojourn herself looked at him as if they were embarrassed. However, Kim found that one situation that he really wished to not happened, just became a reality. A slight fever was being felt on Sojourn's forehead.

"Captain, ma'am! Who were all the members that were got soaked by the water together, with you?"

"The hell are you doing all of a sudden, Kim?"

"Please answer me quickly, ma'am! It's not just a thing that able to let go off that easily!"

"Uh, Venture, Lùcio, Junker Queen, and finally, Zarya."

He also put his hand on the other four's foreheads. Everyone was equally feverish. Even worse, the Junker Queen is already starting to break out in a cold sweat.

"Kim, what are you doing? What's wrong?"

Brigitte asked, but Kim just stepped back slowly, with shaking his hands, from Sojourn and the rest of the colleagues.

"Listen, everyone. Sloan, Odessa, Lùcio, Ms. Zarya. And finally, Captain, ma'am. It may be hard to accept, but all five of you people, you guys were infected in Omnic virus."

"… What?"

Sojourn asked back with a puzzled look.

"I got infected? Me? How? No, that's impossible!"

"I'm sorry, Odessa, but you're."

Junker Queen angrily asked back. But Kim began to explain in front of her.

"Aren't you having a terrible headache right now? And the heat that comes with the chills? And the cold sweat. When did those symptoms are start? Can I guess? It probably wasn't long after you got deep soaked by the water of that pond. There's no one who never hasn't caught a cold in their life, and you've probably experienced it a few times, haven't you? But think about it, have you ever experienced a cold that comes up so fast like this?"

Junker Queen tried to say something, but she was confused when she discovered that Kim's words were strangely compatible with her situation now.

"And, Dr. Mei, before we left Peacekeeper Base, what were the most basic symptoms of the Omnic virus, that I described?"

"Uh, it was…. Cold... Symptom, wasn't it? Especially, a strong cold…"

Kim made an expression not only to Junker Queen, but also to Sojourn with an assertive look. Venture, Zarya, and Lùcio's faces also gradually changed from distrust to fear.

The group had now left the Ontario Library and started walking eastward. A short walk south provided direct access to the Rogers Centre and CN Tower, but with the situation of McCawl Street, Beverly Street, and even John Street, covered and full of debris and tons of bodies, which believed as an infected, it was impossible to know what more would happen if they went down that place. Moreover, it could be worse to the team members who are now in dangerous condition.

Sojourn, Lùcio, Zarya, Junker Queen, and Venture still had the strength to move, but they couldn't concentrate on the situation, because of the rising fever and headache. But the most unbearable situation for them, was that no one was willing to stay close to them, except just one, the Sgt. Kim.

"Hey, even though I've always been that mean, but are you guys seriously need to do this?"

Junker Queen got angry when she couldn't stand the situation anymore. But the other members just avoided their eyes and didn't give any specific reasons. Even the Junkrat hesitated to approach her.

"But Kim, why are you staying close to us, unlike them?"

Kim only looked at the path to walk, and answered the Sojourn's question.

"I think the rest of the team still cannot believe me even if I explained it to them, but I surely do know what this virus is like, ma'am. Just like how you ma'am and these fellas here are got infected, the Omnic virus is known to be transmitted through only water. My experience has already proved that simply by walking next to someone that infected, doesn't mean I could get infected that easily."

"The saliva is water, too, Kim. Well, we can't rule out the possibility of spilling our fluids to you, so isn't it still dangerous?"

Lùcio said, but Kim said, pointing to the surroundings.

"It would be dangerous if we're in indoors. But here, outside, in such an open space, at least five feet from each other can prevent saliva splashing to each other. That's what I learned from Dr. Mercy at least. Even if your saliva drops were popping out over that distance, it would be really impossible that they would fly to me and fall on. Unless you're dropping the virus directly into the water pipes that we were sharing."

Kim, who said so, walked a few more steps, then stopped.

"What, Kim. Why are you stopping?"

When Sojourn discovered that Kim was not following them, she asked. But, at the moment, Kim remembered a key point that he had forgotten for a while. Virus spreading by water. And, water pipes. How could I be so stupid myself? I don't think it was the first time to forget the important point like this now?

"Captain Sojourn, ma'am, do you remember the point from what I said, when we first decide the search site?"

"You told us to let's focus on crowded places. This omnic virus, it doesn't develop symptoms immediately after infection, but only after a certain period of time. So, for now, the most likely place to the bomb could exist, is the place where the virus could spread as much as possible. You said it yourself, Kim."

"Then, considering the characteristics of it, that it is only transmitted through water, what could be possible?"

"Then, should they drop it at a water purification plant or some places like that? Contamination of water supply, that's one of the quickest ways to spread something like a virus. Just like Typhoid."

"Then, what if we put those conditions together?"

Sojourn looked at Kim strangely, but soon, she realized what the point was. Water and people. And, water supply. The place, where there are many peoples around, and also, the access to water supply system is closest.

"Is there any place that comes to mind, Captain, ma'am?"

Sojourn thought carefully about, with a head that was now starting to feel dizzy, and she could remember a place.

"…. Osgoode Station."

"Do you mean Osgoode Station on Subway Line 1...?"

"The Old Toronto, the most central district of the Toronto city itself. Anyway, that place's water supply starts at the Lower Don Water Purification Plant in the West Don, and runs through the Triton Underground Water Purification Plant, just off Nathan Phillips Square, where we struggled yesterday, and then supplied all the way down to downtown Toronto, Kensington Town and Cavidge Town. Five of the main water pipelines pass beneath the Osgoode Station train tracks. Moreover, Osgoode Station is one of the main stations of Toronto Subway Line 1. There is no need to explain how many people there usually are."

Everyone listened carefully to Sojourn. Then, Tracer said.

"Not only many people gather and passing by, and also, the place where the main water pipelines of the region passing... Go back to the terrorist's view, if we set a target for biological and chemical weapons..."

Kim looked back at Brigitte and Sombra.

"You sure that equipment is still working fine?"

Brigitte nodded with a face full of conviction. Kim said, checking the map once again.

"There's nothing we can do better than this now. We're just pushing through it!"

There was a particularly dreary atmosphere on Queen Street West Street, rather than on other streets. The mass of destruction, along with the numerous dead bodies, seemed to be worse than elsewhere. A group of 19 Overwatch members entered the street. However, the bleak atmosphere was simply not enough to change the subject of their concerns. It was because the conditions of those infected members, including the Sojourn, were getting worse. The five infected members' status were only getting worse, despite the fact that the rest of the team somehow managed to get body warmers and various winter-prepare things that they could found around them.

"Ugh, this chill is killing me already, but the worst is this crazy rush of sleep."

Lùcio said, as wrapped himself in a blanket. Zarya could still stand on her feet, but if Baptiste and Pharah did not hold her from the side as she walked, she could have lost her balance.

"Говно (Dammit). I, Zarya, are finally faced up my own break-down?"

"Don't say such nonsense, Zarya! We will not collapse in here that easily!"

Pharah cuts the Zarya's words and said. Although they were not showing it out loud, but the Junker Queen and Venture also looks that they could fall to the ground right away, if Kiriko doesn't continue to use the healing ofuda.

"Don't worry everyone! Mercy would be able to come up a solution. Yeah, it will! Surely, Mercy would know how to solve this. Yes, of course…"

Tracer slurred her words. In Kim's eyes, the appearance of Corporal Turner, who had to die because of the virus in the New Mexico Plateau, without any proper treatment, overlapped with them. Whatever happened, he had to prevent it from happening again.

The entrance to Osgoode subway station appeared like a beast, waiting for its prey with mouth open. The darkened inside, because of the black-out, no sound came up, except for the wind blowing on the street. Kim took a look around the group.

"Okay, I don't know what's going to happen here, but one thing is for sure, if we've taken all these guys in together, it probably won't be good."

He thought about the group member's each capability and strategies. A quick search in the station is important, but they just couldn't leave the sick team members out here alone. Hmm...

"Captain, ma'am. It could sound a little rude, please forgive me, but mind if I take over your commanding authority and controls the team for a moment? I think you're too much sick to command the whole team now, ma'am."

Kim asked Sojourn carefully. She looked directly at Kim while holding her painful head, and said.

"Now remember, Kim. This is the battlefield of the future, not the 1980s when you were so used to it. Don't forget that. Just keep that in mind."

Kim nodded quietly.

"Alright! Uh... Brigitte, you stay out here, for now, and help the captain Sojourn and the rest of the team to keep awake. Lieutenant Pharah, ma'am, and Echo. Two of you, too. Cassidy, Baptiste, and you, Mr. Hanzo. You three, has the powerful firepower, among the still-conscious and functionable members. For just in case, stay here, and keep them safe. Uh, Junkrat. You're... There are only four grenades left, but... If there's anything you can do on the ground here, then help it as much as you can."

"I got it, Kim."

Hanzo said with a nod.

"Som! The use of that detector. Can I trust you to leave it to you?"

Sombra replied with a look full of pride, put away her previous half-hearted attitude.

"Leave it to me! Even if we have to tear out the whole inside of this station, we must find it!"

"Very good. Kiriko, , Genji, Tracer, and Dr. Mei. Seven of us, we're going to go into the station and gonna find that damn bomb. Somehow. If it's not here, well, that's another problem. Anyhow, we have to search through this station, and must see what happens!"

Everyone's facial expressions were solidified, raising the courage that remained in their hearts as much as possible.

[Bee-p!]

Somewhere, an electronic sound began to be heard, and it stopped in an instant. Everyone turned their heads to the source of the sound. Sombra was looking into the device, that handed over by Brigitte, with an incredulous expression.

"The signal, there was a signal just now!"

Kim clenched his fist. Now, everyone's expectations turned into conviction. The time had come, to end this long-awaited mission.

The dim underground station, where the lights were all went out, was no longer looks scary to them. If something popped out, they just could simply rid of it. Now there was no time to look at the situation or think about other strategies. There was no choice but to complete the mission or get annihilated. Kim and the rest of the group proceeded by removing obstacles with their own weapons, as Sombra took the detector and guided the group toward a direction that the signal got stronger.

Surely this place was hiding something suspicious, oddly having more human infected and mutated omnics than other stations.

"Fuck! Why there are so many?"

Kim swears, as he changed the magazine for the third time. Kiriko pointed to the Winston-made silencer that Kim was attaching it in front of his rifle.

"You aware that this thing is started to change, right?"

Kiriko look anxiously at the silencer, not only was just red and hot, but began to slowly melts, with smoke.

"I know. Dammit, I hope this thing could stay for a little longer."

They dealt with the infected, who rushed one by one from every direction, broke the locked door, and they went deep underground.

"Drain Pump 1, Circulation System Main Control... Is this the water supply system that Sojourn mentioned?"

Inside the dim cellar, Kim looked from place to place with his flashlight. Inside the cellar, about the size of a lounge lobby at Gibraltar Watch Point Base, there were a ton of machines and massive water pipes entangled, just looks like a hydroelectric power plant. Sombra held the device high. The signal was indicating that the source of the signal, was right in front of them. In front of their eyes, huge ventilation fans and ventilation shafts could be seen.

"No way, is it say that it's right behind that things?"

Mei said as she looked at the ventilation fan, which was still turning by reserve power.

"Then we have to take that off. How the hell can we take that thing off without any damage..."

"Hi-yap!"

Even before Kim finished speaking, Genji pulled out his Dragon Blade, and rushed into the ventilation shaft. A few cuts later, a ventilation shaft made of thin steel sheets fell to the floor, making a thump sound.

"Genji, can't you take this operation more seriously?"

"I just thought about which is the fastest way."

While Kim and Genji exchange some words, , who was looking into the passage on the floor, shouted.

"Here it is!"

Kim crawls into the shaft himself, and dragged out a large travel carrier-sized bomb. There was no separate cover, and it was equipped with a remote relay signal, three air tank-shaped explosives that looked similar to a grenade, and a glass tank the size of a bowling ball.

"Is this glass tank, is this is a virus? No way, they were trying to contaminate all the way of the Toronto, with just this much?"

Tracer said, as she is looking into the tank as if she couldn't believe it.

"Actually, that's many enough, Lena. Back in 1986, the size of two brigade arms were got wiped out by just only the amount of a perfume bottle."

Kim explained. said while she was looking at the explosives, that connected to the virus tank.

"Huh? This thing is not just a normal bomb! It's just a high-intensity air compression tank with a tungsten detachable shell equipped, just like a grenade. Why did they do like this?"

"Did you forget one of the characters of the virus, Song? These viruses are vulnerable to heat. If they did use a regular bomb, it'll probably burn up the whole virus at the moment when it explodes. The explosive power of compressed air is not negligible, too, compared with normal bombs. This Null Sector dudes, man, they must have learned a lot of things in that short time..."

"Now, that's all for the bomb analysis. So, what should we have to do with this sucker now?"

Kiriko asked. But then, for a moment, no one was dared to willing to speak. Kim also had forgotten it, too. It was fortunate to found this damn thing, but about how to deal with this.

"There is a way to detonate it with high-temperature and high-pressure firepower, but nobody will know how the results gonna be if we just detonate it in here, now, does it? Let's move this outside first..."

However, as soon as Kim touched the bomb again, a warning sound rang, then the compressor mounted on the air bomb, began to function.

"What the hell? Why is it started to work all of a sudden?"

shouted in dismay. The pressure gauge of the air tank slowly went up. Kim looked around and shouted to Genji.

"Genji! Can you destroy this compressor engine?"

Genji didn't even answer, but pulled out a wakizashi and slammed the engine hard. The piston part of the compressor was fallen off with the sound of iron clumps being smashed, and the air that was being compressed was spewed out with great gusty speed.

"Did it stop working for now? Then..."

Why do things always get worse whenever he opens his mouth? Kim was only beginning to speak, but the distribution panel in the corner of the machine room began to move with a wiggle, and the Slicer Omnic with the Null Sector logo on it, appeared.

"For God's sake, I thought there was too low security against the bomb!"

The Slicer Omnic tried to fire its laser, but Kim fired a shot on its head, in full auto. Omnic, whose laser beam device got broken down, paused for a moment and began to rush toward them as if it was going to hit them with its head. However, Mei used an Endothermic Blaster to freeze Omnic's leg joint, and Genji pulled his sword out and cut it neatly.

But even before this shock had gone, the sound of various things moving busily outside the machine room, began to resonate.

"Get the bomb first! Even if we can't solve it in here, we have to take it out first, and deal with it!"

Kim grabbed the bomb and said.

At the same time, Brigitte and Baptiste were using a painkiller 'borrowed' from a nearby pharmacy to relieve any pain in the five members. Doubt herself that this would work out, but Sojourn took the pill all by once.

Suddenly, a lot of changes occurred in the surrounding streets. Inside the pile of broken buildings and whacked cars, numerous numbers of camouflaged Omnics began to appear.

"What the hell is this?"

Pharah instinctively lifted the rocket launcher and blew away the nearest Omnic. Cassidy fans the revolver and knocked down a heavy attack Omnic. As he thinks about it while reloading, although his revolver is not that weak, but, is it powerful enough for able to subdue the bigger Omnic. Five people, including Sojourn and Zarya, were still distraught with symptoms of the virus, but they got up and aimed up their weapons when they realized the situation was unusual. Zarya fired a Graviton Surge and combined three Omnics into one place, then Sojourn and Hanzo shot the railgun alt fire and arrows to destroy everything. Venture also fiercely resisted, holding her excavator and shooting Seismic Charge at the Omnics, and Baptiste and Lùcio were also attacking all directions, holding to each other back.

Kim, Kiriko, Diva, and Tracer ran up from the station with bombs, Mei and Genji covers them. But when they reached the ground, they already found that other colleagues are also engaged in a fierce battle.

There was no way that the Null Sector would have just planted only the bombs in the train station. There must have been a reserve force hidden around in case the bomb was caught, and when Kim and the heroes touched it, they were awakened. Furthermore, their attacks were threatening enough, but the sound of large-scale fighting echoed throughout the city, attracting the attention of infected, who were hiding from place to place.

Kim also fired several shots, but soon stopped shooting in surprise of the strong flame coming from the gun. When he looked again, he could see that the silencer that Winston gave him, could not withstand that many shots and eventually melted into the heat and exploded.

"Oh, fuck! Not now!"

But soon after he realized that he was not the only one who made noise, he just removed the silencer and threw it to the ground. Moreover, he tried to determine the shape of the surrounding battle. The Omnics of the Null sector were the biggest threat, but also, the thoughts about the many infected, who could arrive here at any moment, came up in his head. Unsurprisingly, beyond the sound of the Omnics being destroyed, unusual sounds came from all over the street.

If they just keep stays here, then there would probably be only possibilities that everyone would bury their bones here, and surely nobody will want to do so. However, it was also absurd to run through all these enemies. The air support would not even be able to come in the first place because of the anti-aircraft weaponized Omnics, who were watching for the sky all the time, and even if they could call it, it was highly likely that everyone would end up here before even they arrive. Kim quickly uses his head.

"Kiriko! Tell everyone to stay here, and do not move! I'll be right back as fast as I could be!"

Kim shouted into Kiriko's ear, and ran into a narrow alleyway.

"Kim! Where are you going?"

Kiriko shouted behind him, but Kim was already gone.

"Kiriko! Where the Kim goes!? Where is he?!"

Hanzo asked, as his all arrows were run out, and took the wooden club that fell on the floor, uses it to confront the Omnic drone.

"I don't know! He's just gone somewhere!"

"What, did you mean that Kim just run away?"

In response to Kiriko's answer, Sombra asked. Others also couldn't believe that Kim had disappeared into somewhere, but there was no time to react to it. Everyone was fighting like crazy. Otherwise, everyone would have died.

Eventually, everyone ran out of ammunition. Some of the heroes were ready to start melee combat. Zarya already picked up a Charger Omnic on her own, threw it on the ground, and smashed. However, it seemed like the end was just around the corner. The Null Sector omnics are constantly coming out from somewhere, no matter how much of them they destroyes. And the countless infected who are rushing towards them, between the NS Omnics. Where did the Kim have gone?

Just as everyone was about to fall into despair, a loud horn began to be heard from University Avenue.

Everyone looked in the direction, and they saw a City Bus of the Toronto Transit Commission running fast towards them, ramming away the infected and Omnics one by one. The bus came at a horribly fast speed, then made a sudden stop at the Queen Street West intersection, where Overwatch heroes were engaged. It was so urgent that the levitation device on the floor hit the road and made a terrible sound. Through the rattling open front door, everyone could see Kim sitting in the driver's seat.

"Don't just look, get in!"

Everyone was surprised to see Kim, who appeared again so suddenly, but after waking up from the shock of his roar, everyone got on the bus in a hurry. Also, don't forget to pack the bomb, too.

After confirming that everyone was on board, Kim put the gears in reverse and pounded on the accelerator as if he was kicking it. The bus, which could not even close the front door, began to dash backward along University Avenue. After examining the surrounding situation through a side mirror, Kim turned the steering wheel sharply. The bus was about to be tripped with tilting, but after showing off the successful J-turn, it made a right turn and ran along West Dundas street.

Everyone just looked at Kim's driving. Was it because of this that he disappeared for a while? Kiriko stared at his driving in disbelief for a moment, then barely managed to ask one question.

"Did you just steal the bus?"

"Can't you just say that I borrowed it for a while rather than steal it? And, it's still a better strategy than dying out here?"

Kim avoids the obstacles in the street by turning the steering wheel quickly from side to side. After hitting and smashing five Null Sector Omnics in a row at the intersection in front of Yonge-Dundas Square, the bus began running south along Yonge Street. Kim was somehow driving the bus at over 50 miles per hour on this narrow street. , Tracer, and Zarya were holding the bomb tightly so it wouldn't hit anywhere else and explode inside the bus.

Five original Overwatch members: Soldier:76, Ana, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, Mercy, and the rest of the crew: Winston, Bastion, and finally, Talon's Sigma and Widowmaker, aka, the 3rd Squad, found the Union Station's chaotic scene and determined that the rest of the Overwatch members would never be able to return to the station. University Avenue and Bay Street were so much chaotic that they could not even attempt to get in, so they decided to take the best route to go up north, Yonge Street, and search for the rest of the team. They were about to pass the TD Canada Trust Tower and the Hockey Hall of Fame Center.

Torbjorn and Reinhardt were worried about Brigitte as they looked at the broken Omnics and so many of dead bodies everywhere. Ana also could not shake off her worries about whether her daughter Fareeha is still okay. At one point, the Widowmaker, scouting in the distance, found something fast and running at them. She instinctively fired a bullet.

"Hey, Amelie! I told you not to do solo behavior!"

"Talk to me after you see over there, Jack."

However, the Widowmaker soon realized that she had only wasted one bullet unnecessarily. From a distance, the sound of a car horn could be heard. Soon, a fast-driving bus came to a sudden stop in front of this 3rd squad.

"What is this? How can I explain this?"

Torbjorn asked in surprise when he saw the bus that appeared in front of them, suddenly. In the driver's seat of the bus, which was already fully damaged and all the windshields were shattered, Kim shouted with a continuous horn.

"Hey! Don't just look, and get onboard. Quick!"

The bus starts to travel all the way south down Yonge Street, and started running along the western Queens Quay. The bus, which barely made it to Winston, the largest, continued its uneasy ride with 28 peoples on board. The biggest concern was not that they were traveling on the bus now, but the bombs they were after, are still on the bus, together.

"Why did you people bring this together? You guys should've handled it by yourselves!"

Ana looked angrily as if she still couldn't believe that the bomb, in question, was placed right next to her.

"We couldn't help it, Ana, ma'am. The situation on the scene was so urgent, and there was no safe way to deal with it, so we had to just bring it!"

"By the way, you, Sojourn. Why are you sweating so much? Are you okay?"

While Sojourn explaining the situation to Ana, Reinhardt asked, as he found out that she is now oddly sweating cold sweats. While Lùcio and Zarya contemplating about how to reveal the fact that they've got somehow infected by Omnic virus, suddenly the bus began to slightly hit the center divider and continued to go forward, while scratch the side of the vehicle.

"Kim! What are you doing? Drive straight!"

Cassidy yelled. But Dr. Mercy had a bad feeling when she saw the Kim's right arm was drooping down to the floor for no reason. The bus begins to slow down.

"Kim?"

When Mercy grabbed Kim's shoulder, his body fell sideways, weakly. The steering wheel, without any driver's control, began to turn to its own. Everyone in the bus was fell into panic.

"What the hell! Kim! What's wrong with you?"

Cassidy exclaimed, then jumped to the driver's seat and took the wheel instead of Kim. Kiriko helped Mercy and put Kim on the floor. He remained faint, with no movement or expression on his face, with his eyelids half-opened. At the same time, the two healers found a bullet hole on the right side of Kim's shirt, and blood flowing out and nearly soaked his pants.

"Kim! What the? When did you get shot?"

Kiriko screamed and said. As the shout that Kim had been hit by something echoed in the bus, and everyone looked at the fallen Kim. Widowmaker clearly remembered that a bullet she had shot earlier flew straight to the bus, which was running toward her. Hell, it seemed that one bullet she had fired hastily hit this unlucky young man.

Kiriko searched her pockets, but found that she had run out of healing ofudas.

"No, no, no, no! It can't be! Kim, wake up!"

"Kiriko, back off! We still have a hope!"

Mercy pointed a Caduceus Device at Kim. This was some treatments that Kim didn't like that much, but this wasn't a situation to go into the details. As soon as she turns on the device, the blood that had permeated in Kim's clothes slowly began to fade, and then went back into the bullet hole wounds. At the same time, a bullet, which has stuck inside his body, popped out, and landed on the floor. Just like the moment when Kim first arrived at Gibraltar, and got the Dr. Mercy's treatment for the first time.

Hang on. If this were the same, they suddenly thought that something else that, same as then, might come out as well. Kiriko and Mercy remembered one of his appearances at the same time, and then quietly grabbed each of Kim's limbs.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Kim woke up with screaming. Cassidy looked at the scene with horror as he was driving. Kiriko and Mercy, who confirmed that the wound was completely healed, finally let go of Kim's limbs. He fumbled his stomach a few times while breathing roughly, but after finding out that the injury had disappeared, he looked at Mercy and Kiriko.

"Ugh, were there any more peaceful ways, doc?"

Kim spoke to Mercy with dissatisfaction. Kiriko and Mercy sighed in relief after realizing that they had succeeded in saving one person.

"Hey, Kim! If you don't mind now, can you take the wheel now?! I don't know how to drive a bus!"

Cassidy cried hastily. He was now driving in a zigzag, hitting all the obstacles on the road, not avoiding it.

[Billy Bishop Airport. Around 10:00 A.M.]

An old UH-1 helicopter and a white airship, with the Overwatch logo on it was standing on one side of the airport together. They looked compatible somehow, knowing that they were more than 100 years apart. But suddenly, a wrecked Toronto city bus smashed the airport's runway-blocking barricade and scrambled into a hardstand. One of the four levitation devices had already broken down, and the back of its body was dragging to the floor and making terrible noises.

As soon as the bus stopped abruptly, the 26 people inside rushed out and ran to the plane without anyone saying anything. started the Overwatch aircraft instead of Tracer, who was starting the UH-1 on behalf of Kim. This was possible because there were only a few significant changes in the helicopter operation method from 100 years ago and now. The rest of the two people on the bus, Kim and Junkrat, looked at the bomb that was lying on the bus floor.

"So, how are we supposed to deal with this?"

"We have to burn it with high pressure and extreme heat. With the grenades you have now, I don't think that would be possible. Any more ideas, Junkrat?"

Kim and Junkrat began to think about how to dispose of this bomb. Then, Junkrat hit his finger, pointed to the floor of the bus and said.

"Battery! Let's use the batteries of electric buses! These things could burn up more spectacularly and hotter than anything else, if we just damage the right place! Haha!"

"Can you do it with a grenade, Junkrat?"

"Well, it's not going to be that hard. If only you could help me rip off the floor of this bus!"

While Sombra was helping other heroes and two Talon colleagues split up on a flight boat and a helicopter, she looked at a bus that had not yet been fully disembarked.

"Those fools, what are they doing over there?"

Sombra couldn't stand the frustration and ran to the bus.

"Hey, you two fools! What are you doing in there?! We have to leave now!"

Kim and Junkrat looked at Sombra while ripping off the floor of the bus. Kim looked at the battery with the surface exposed, then asked Sombra.

"Som! This bus battery. Can you hack it and make it overload?"

"What? All of a sudden? Are you going to set a fire in here?"

"Yes! In fact, we need a very powerful and hot fire! To burn this thing down completely!"

Sombra took out the virtual pad and began to operate it.

"Done! Put down the bomb and get out!"

Less than a few seconds later, the battery was already starting to emit hot smoke. Kim and Junkrat jumped out of the bus after placing the Omnic virus bomb on the battery. And also, Junkrat didn't forget to put down 4 grenades right next to it that Kim had given.

"Woo-hoo! I'm only trusting on you, lads!"

As soon as Junkrat and Kim finally threw themselves into the helicopter, Overwatch's airship began to soar. Kim also deployed the throttle to the maximum, causing the helicopter to rise up quickly.

The batteries in the bus began to burn with black smoke, and at the same time, the temperature of each fuse of the 4 grenades increased to a critical threshold.

Everyone in the helicopter that started flying away, leaving Toronto, could see a fire column soaring on the bus at the airport. The thermal runaway of the electric battery, as well as the explosion power of the old grenade, emitted a terrifying flame from a distance. At that level, the virus bomb would have burned down completely, without problem.

"We did it!"

Kim shouted with a raising right hand. Everyone in the helicopter and the airship cheered as they looked at the burning bus.

However, there were still some serious problems to be solved. But for now, everyone thought it would be best to get out of Toronto and think about it later.
