The year is around 3000 BBY and it is a time of peace; 500 years have passed since the end of the 3rd Galactic War and the downfall of the resurgent Sith Empire.

The war left the once magnificent pillars of the Republic in disarray, their once gleaming surfaces tarnished and crumbling.

For centuries, the Republic has struggled to rebuild after the war that left trillions dead and entire planets in ruin. Once-powerful Sith worlds now lie barren, their cities crumbling into dust. All that remains of the Sith are scattered clans, with no grand vision left to unite them.

But whispers of a new darkness are beginning to spread across the galaxy. In response to a call for help from a Pau'an minister, the Jedi Order has dispatched a small team of elite Jedi Knights and their padawans to the remote planet of Utapau...
