Outer Solar System Patrol Unit: Taffy 7

Location: Orbit of Pluto

Date: October 20, 2204

Time: 08:30 Hours, Earth Time

Space, some call it the final frontier. An infinite expanse of mystery and scientific wonder that would boggle the best of minds for centuries to come. It's what pushes species beyond the threshold of their limited shackles and drives them to improve and understand the incomprehensible. But it can be a host of many dangers and swallow up those unprepared for the horrors into it's inky black abyss. This is something that would be dwelling on the mind of Captain Amanda Green of the Concorde Dawn as she sat in her command chair of the Lexington Class Battlecarrier, taking in the atmosphere around her.

The bridge would be buslling with life and energy, the crew mingling in idle conversation on this relatively routine patrol. The task force, Taffy 7, had been opprised of the Concorde Dawn and two E-Class cruisers, EFCF Johnston and EFCF Sagitarius. The Dawn was a relatively new ship off the assembly line of Earth following the White Commet Empire attack but the crews of all three ships would be a mix of experienced veterans dating all the way back to the Garmilan War to fresh blood out of the Academy. Sentiment aboard would be a mix of boredom and routine sweeps as the patrol doubled up as a shake down cruise for the vessels and a patrol of the outer defense grid.

Once the captain of the Dawn had taken her second sip of her coffee, she turned to her sensors operator on the right side of the bridge. The Lieutenant in question would be striking up a conversation with the helmsman about plans for their next leave as well as some personal effects back on Earth. "Lieutenant Foster, how are the sensors looking?"

"Clear as the view outside the main vewport, sir." He replied while breaking out of his conversation to address the captain.

"Good," The captain replied with a smile before turning to the communications officer. "Any news from the patrol we launched, Ensign?"

"Let me check." He replied while patching to the Cosmo Python squadron deployed further near the outer reaches of the system. "Dawn, Striker 1, What's the verdict?"

"Striker 1, Dawn, scopes are clean, just had a few transports slip through customs on the way to the lunar embassy, should be coming on your scopes in a few mikes." A brash feminine voice rang out over the com. As if the cosmos heard and wanted to confirm it, a ping came from the console of Lieutenant Foster.

"Can confirm 3 Garmilan Transports enroute from the edge of deep space. They are passing by Taffy 8 as we speek." Lieutenant Foster said causing the captain to nod.

"We see them Striker 1, head on back to the Dawn for shift change, Phantom Squad will take over patrol duties." The Communications Officer replied.

"Roger that, Striker squad RTB." Striker 1 replied before the com was cut. A sigh escaping the captain as she took another sip of the mug in her hand.

"Long night captain?" A gruff voice stated next to the captain. The captain let out a chuff as she adjusted her hair a bit from her face, rolling her eyes as she glanced over to the owner of the voice.

"Could say that again Commander." She replied to the man standing next to her command chair. She sighed at the man wearing typical EFCF uniform for his rank and stared out into the expanse. "Just wish Earth could catch a break."

"Don't we all?" Commander Forest Everwind replied while looking out into the expanse of space ahead of the formation. "Would be nice to have at least a few years of quiet after getting our planet back."

"Here here!" A voice called out from the other side of the bridge causing the commander to sigh and rub his forehead. He would be about to reprimand the owner of the voice when a ping rang over the bridge.

"Unknown Contact, 12km to starboard exiting subspace!" Lieutenant Foster replied, a bit of panic in his voice as he stared at the console.

"Garmilan dimensional submarines?" The Commander asked.

"Far to small, seems to be the size of a fighter class vessel." Foster replied. A small pause came over the bridge as Captain Green set down her mug and lifted her head to expose her face fully to the light of the bridge.

"Full combat alert, Tell Striker Squadron to investigate and launch Phantom Squadron to assist. Alert the Johnston and Sagitarius as well and tighten up the formation." Green called out to the bridge while the ship's combat alarm blared over the speakers. the warm blue and white lights transitioned to a crimson as the klaxons blared. "Bring us to within 8 km of the vessel and gain targetting solution on the exit point with the shock cannons. I don't want any surprises."

"Yes sir!" Gunnery Control called out as the 2 tripple barreled positron shock cannon turrets, just to the front of the bridge on the main hull of the carrier, began to angle slightly.

"Striker squadron, divert to point 34, 24 on your lower axis. You are to investigate unknown subspace anomaly and report back. Phantom Squdron is being launched to assist." The communications officer stated. "Engagement rules are do not fire until fired upon. Repeat, do not fire until fired upon.

"Striker acknowledges, moving to intercept the contact with weapons on reactionary." Striker 1 replied as the bridge and subsequently the rest of the vessel went to battlestations. As the fighters were informed, Concorde Dawn and her escorts raced ahead at flank speed as 4 Cosmo Tiger IIIs launched from the flight deck of the Dawn.

Outside in the inky blackness of space, 14 Km from Taffy 7, the 6 Cosmo Pythons of Striker Squadron would recieve the orders to investigate the subspace contact. "Well if it isn't one of their patrol subs or something what can it be?" One pf the pilots, Striker 4, commented over the squadron's com channel.

"Hell if I know 4," Striker 5 commented. "Hey what if it's a new prototype the navy is testing out?"

"And just what would you know about skunkworks projects 5?" Striker 2 commented as the source of the rift would be fast approaching visual range.

"Cut the chatter Striker squadron." Striker 1 spoke over the line, the 5 other pilots nodding in their canopies in response. Soon the source of the subspace rupture would appear and it take the pilots a bit by surprise. before them would be a small sleek and angular strike fighter of unknown design. The main fuselage would be sa sleek diamond shape flanked by one intact blue diamond with a split near the bottom. The one on the left side would be sparking out of control and small bits of smoke eminated from it. The starboard side seemed to have what was some form of swept-back wing, the port side's version completely blown apart as the vessel drifted in the void.

"Well shit..." Striker 3 stated as her Python's exterior lights shone on the craft.

"Not another first contact!" Striker 6 exclaimed in a huff.

"Dawn, Striker Squadron, what do you see?" The coms officer of the Concorde Dawn asked.

"Striker 1, Dawn, Its definately some sort of fighter. I can't confirm any lifeform readings, I suggest sending out a Gul to tow it on board." Striker Squadron's leader stated. A pause came over the line before the reply came.

"Gul 1 enroute from Sagitarius. Remain observation duties until the craft is dragged to the Dawn's deck. We dont want any unwelcome guests." The coms officer said as winks of the running lights of Taffy 7 began to approach but were still a fair distance away.

"Roger that Dawn, squad you heard the-" Striker 1 began before Striker 5 piped up and cut her off.

"Is that a fucking fox in the cockpit?" Striker 5 cut in as his lights illuminated the canopy of the strange craft. Within the seat would be an anthropormorphic fox with orange and white fur slumped forward and being held weightless inside the seat harnes. The fox wore a white jacket of an unclear material, a green combat all-body flightsuit would rest under the jacket as some form of headset and broken pair of aviators floated in the canopy next to the fox.

"Update, confirmed pilot within the craft." Striker 1 reported with a sigh apparent in her voice.

After a few minutes, the Cosmo Seagul, dispatched from EFCF Sagitarius, would arrive. The bulky space craft flew past the derelict strike craft, launching a tow hook out of the back. The cargo door opened and two people in EVA suits would exit the Seagul and afix the hook to the nose of the strange craft. The crew also would grab and loose debris and load it into the Seagul. When that was done, the Seagul turned and began to fly toward Taffy 7, who by now would be nearing 6 km away from the wreckage.

Striker Squadron watched as a wing of 4 black and orange Cosmo Tiger IIIs entered the area while the Seagul started towing the alien vessel to the Concorde Dawn. "Phantom's on station Striker, RTB to the Dawn, I bet you guys want to catch up with the new comer when they get pulled abboard."

"Phantom 1 you damn well know I do." Striker 3 cut in.

"Heh, Strikers form on my wing. Let's head back to the boat." Striker 1 called out as the flight of Cosmo Pythons returned to the Lexington Class Vessel.

Back with Taffy 7, the analyzer bots would be on the flight deck guiding the Seagul into dropping the craft within the gravitational influence of the Concorde Dawn. After abit of finesse, the unknown craft landed with a thunk onto the auxiliary craft elevator. The robots on the flight deck unhooked the tow line and the Seagul made its way back to the Sagitarius. The elevator would lower and the air pressure door would seal behind it, presurizing the internal hangar deck for the time being, though the crew inside would still keep on their space suits for the time being.

Medical teams would be on stand by with a stretcher on hand as well as damage control parties should any complications occur. As soon as the damaged vessel would make it to the lowest floor of the hangar, the teams sprung into action. Medical staff rushed and began to pry open the canopy of the spaceframe while a white foam compound was sprayed into the ship's damaged and smoking hull as to try to put out the electrical fire.

It would take the medical team a few minutes to open the canopy and heave the 5' tall fox into the stretcher. By that time its injuries would be more apparent. Multiple places of singed fur, a slightly crooked and bleeding snout, and its right arm was twisted in an awkward angle. "Check for vitals." One of the medical officers said passing over a scanner to their subordonate.

"Vitals are weak but there, we need to move now!" The one who was holding the scanner said while grabbing the other side of the stretcher. The two holding the stretcher quickly began rushing out of the hangar as by now the damage control team had finished with electrical fire. Once the all clear was given by damage control, the flight mechanics began doing their work of studying the alien craft.

Only once the medical staff left the hangar with the strange alien, was Striker Squadron permitted to land. By that point the alien slightly stirred in its sleep, making a small myriad of grunts and groans while on the stretcher. It wouldn't take long for the team to reach the med bay where they put the alien on one of the beds. "Should we tie it down just to be safe?" One of the supporting staff asked the CMO of the Dawn.

"No, not yet. Ensign Wilson go call for security to be posted at the entrance to the med bay for the time being. I have a feeling a lot of the crew are going to try to barge in here to get a look at the fella we have here." The CMO stated while putting on some sanitary gloves. "First thing's first, we need to get to work on this arm..." The CMO began, grabbing a scanner and setting to work.

"You know what must be done, I leave it to yoh now."

"Yes, my lord..."

"Gah I'm hit!"

"What the hell is that thing!"

"James Evade, Evade!"

EFCF Concorde Dawn

12:45 Hours Earth Time

"Doctor!" One of the nurses called out as the monitors near by the alien would be starting to go haywire. The CMO rushed over and looked at the monitors and back to the alien who was twitching and gasping. It hadn't been long since they had finished their work on patching the alien fox up, who which grunted when its cast covered arm hit its stomach hard. The CMO would grunt and start to act.

"I need muscle relaxers and pain killers yesterday over here!" He called out to his medical staff. One would come over with a tube and needle in hand. The CMO would take the needle from the ensign and hold down the left arm of the fox as it continued to thrash a bit. "Hold down its legs and head, I need to find a vein!"

Within seconds the rest of staff would hold down the fox while the CMO injected the contents of the needle into the fox. A soft groan escaped the mouth of the vulpine as the medicine took hold, its twitching and shaking would start to subside as its brow began to scrunch as if trying to open its eyes. "It's waking up Doctor!"

"Alright back away, I need to inform the Captain. Wilson go inform the security officers to be ready. Peterson ready sedatives incase we need them." The CMO ordered while typing away at a console before sighing. The console would connect him with bridge over the internal comunications network. The CMO cleared his throat and began to speak. "It's starting to wake up Captain..."

"I'll be there shortly Frankford." Captain Green stated before the line cut again. Doctor Frankford sighed and rubbed his head as a gruff voice, sounding like someone in their 40s - 50s spoke out.

"Where the hell am I?" The male voice called out. "Wh-what are you people, some kind of hairless apes?" This one got a snort from the Doctor as he looked over to the owner of the voice, that being the fox in the medical bed hooked to IVs. It would look around as it noticed its right arm sat in some sort of cast it was unfamiliar with as well as its left arm being hooked to some tubes.

"Don't worry pal, the Captain will explain it when she arrives, for now relax. We pumped some muscle relaxers into your system to help deal with the pain." Doctor Frankford replied with a huff. "To answer your questions. You are onboard the EFCF Conorde Dawn, specifically the medical bay. As for your second question, it is a very oversimplification of the evolutionary process of humanity." The Doctor paused. "So, fox, you got a name?" The alien in question blinked a bit in confusion before laying back in the bed, one of the nurses coming over to adjust the IV drip.

"James, James McCloud. Look I don't know who you people are, but we need to get to Corneria as fast as possible! What part of Lylat are we in?" The now named James would ask. Doctor Frankford rubbed his head and signed.

"Well for starters I don't know of a planet called Corneria, sorry. Never heard of 'Lylat' either." The doctor replied, leaving James quite stunned. Before he could as anything more, Doctor Frankford cut in. "Best to wait for the Captain to answer the rest of those questions. I'm just the ship's doctor. In other news, based on my medical analysis, your arm should be healed within the month, provided you don't try anything crazy."

The fox in the bed groaned and laid back, a sigh escaping his lips. He'd stare up at the ceiling of the room and tap his thumb on his thigh while waiting for more answers to his questions, not like he could get out of the room at the moment anyways considering the gown he was wearing as opposed to his normal flight suit. The IV wouldn't help much either in any escape attempt, but a calmness rushed over the fox, knowing this seemed to be a new species from his perspective.

It would take a few minutes before the door to the room clicked and slid open with a hiss, revealing a pair of figures that would be standing by the door. After a few seconds, Captain Green and her XO walked into the room, both wearing standard uniform atire. Green wearing a gray and red uniform as oposed to her XO who wore a white uniform with blue accents and what could only be described as a ship anchor patern across the front of the shirt. "I presume its vitals are in order?" Green asked with a curious tone as she turned to the office.

"I'm not an it." James said calmly with a hint of annoyance. "My name is James. Jame McCloud." He stated calmly but firmly.

"There's your answer Captain." Doctor Frankford replied while rubbing his head. Amanda Green chuckled a bit.

"My apologies Mr. McCloud," Captain Green stated while giving a nod to Frankford. The brunette turned on her heel to face the fox. "We are not familiar with a race like yours, so forgive us a bit. I'm Captain Amanda Green, commanding officer of EFCF Patrol Group: Taffy 7. Are you able to answer some of my questions?" She asked while looking at the fox. James nodded a bit and gestured to the equipment and cast.

"I don't mind, considefing I'm not exactly going anywhere. Would you be able to answer some of mine as well?" James asked.

"Within reason of course, classified or secured infomation is off the table unless HQ says otherwise." Green replied with a nod, she brought up a hand and gestured to the officer beside her. "My First Offcer, Commander Forest Everwind. He will be recording the conversation for my report as well."

"Not every day you see a fox on 2 legs. Got to say you managed to impress me, I thought Gatlantis was the extent of alien life." Commander Everwind commented. James wore a look of pure and unadulterated confusion as Everwind chuckled.

"What ever helps your proceedure along, Captain." James replied after a bit with a nod, reasoning it'd be better to co-operate rather than resist. Captain Green nodded and smiled.

"Good, so Mr. McCloud, what happened?" She stated before pausing. "More specifically what happened to cause you to arrive in the Sol System?"

"I don't..." He paused while thinking, trying to decide what could be the best way to answer this question. "I don't know how I got to the Sol System. I was in the Lylat System before waking up in your medical ward." He stated in a white lie sort of fashion, omitting certain elements of the record for now. "What even is the Sol System?"

"I see." Captain Green replied, humming slightly as she wore a seemingly neutral expression. James had a hard time really telling the expression on the human captain, mostly due to anatomical differences. "To answer your question, the Sol System is the birth place of humanity, Earth specifically. It's also the center of our civilization as a whole." The fox nodded and sighed a bit.

"Where's my Arwing?" James asked while looking to the Captain.

"Your vessel is in our hangar bay though I couldn't make a full assesment of the damage, that'd have to be up to our deck chief who is doing a deep dive into the craft as we speak." Everwind replied before pulling out a photograph and a broken pair of aviators. James seemed to wear a relieved a expression while looking to the photo. "Though I managed to get your personal belongings, at least what ones we could guess before they began their work." He handed the image and glasses to James who would use his good hand to hold the photo up.

The image itself would be of James and a younger looking fox, the former giving a piggy back ride to the latter. The smaller fox had a toy aircraft in its hands and seemed to be flying it around. Both wore casual attire and were wearing bright smiles on their faces. "I assume the small one is your kid?" Captain Green asked breaking the silence.

"My son, Fox." James replied, earning a chuckle from Doctor Frankford. Both James and Green gave the doctor a look of slight annoyance, to which he brushed the two off and went back to typing his medcial analysis.

"Last time I smile around you two." He said with his gruff tone.

"Is there any way you could get me back to Lylat?" James asked, looking back to Captain Green. The Captain sighed and looked to James.

"That unfortunately is not my call to make. Taffy 7 is just a partol group. I will not lie, you came in at not the best of times." Captain Green replied with a nod. "That request would be handled by Defense Command as they handle the deployments of ships and fleet assets. We are currently on our way back to Earth as well so you might bring your case to them and find better luck." She answered honestly. James nodded while sighing slightly.

"I understand." James replied.

"I'm curious, what destroyed your...'Arwing?'" Commander Everwind asked while looking to James with a curious expression. Said fox paused and sighed.

"I was betrayed by a person I used to consider a friend." James replied with a bit of a lowness to his voice. "I don't know if my other teammate survived."

"Are you a member of Lylat's military forces?" Captain Green asked, to which James shook his head.

"No, I lead a mercenary group, though we do frequently work with Corneria's military. Especially after the Lylat war." James answered honestly.

"Mercenaries? So does your group work for the highest bidder or is there a moral code behind it?" Captain Green asked while crossing her arms slightly, untrusting of the idea of mercenary groups. James blinked a bit and shook his head firmly.

"Star Fox doesn't just take any job! I make sure of that!" James replied while rubbing his forehead as best he could though the IV would cause a bit of dificulty bending his elbow due to its placement. After a wince of pain he continued. "We mainly do escort missions, pirate busting, things like that."

"What about those...'Lylat Wars' you mentioned." The Commander asked. "Is the system in a state of conflict at the pressent time?" James paused, taking a breath while debating how to answer. Clearly these people don't know any Cornerian history or Lylat's history as a whole, making the choice weigh on him.

"The Lylat War, just one, was a war that raged across the system because the then leader of Planet Venom and outcasted scientist, Andross, was displeased with Corneria over the ban kf his terraforming technology. Claiming it could be turned into a devastating weapon if used against populated worlds." James explained. "Venom sought independance but lost in the end due to the might of the Cornerian Fleet."

"I see, and is the conflict still going on as we speak?" Everwind inquired.

"No open war was going on when I ended up here." James said trailing off. He sighed and tried to sit up only for a nurse to gently put a hand on his chest and push him down.

"I guess your incident was due to a job gone bad?" Captain Green asked, to which James nodded.

"You could say that..." James stated not willing to divulge much about the mission. "If you don't mind me asking Captain, what does EFCF stand for?" James asked. "Your Doctor had mentioned it."

"The EFCF, or Earth Federation Cosmo Force, is the space military arm of the Earth Federation that encompases the Cosmo Navy and Cosmo Marines." Captain Green replied. "That is after the UN was reirganized in 2201 into the Earth Federation."

"You had mentioned that my arrival wasn't the best time. Can I ask what you mean?" James asked. Captain Green sighed.

"Saturn, the 6th planet from our star, was recently destroyed last year by a nearly overwhelming assault by a force known as the White Commet Empire." She replied. "The gas giant is now a loose collection of stellar debris. Currently there is an effort underway to try restoring the planet but its a long process of collecting the gasses, the Ginga is leading that charge." James just lied on the bed with his jaw handing open.

"An entire planet...destroyed..?" James asked with an expression that could only be a mix of fear and awe, but primarily fear. Captain Green blinked in surprised, but thought about the best way to answer.

"Yes, though I cannot give specifics. That would be up to the Defense Ministry. We are about to Warp back to Earth so I can file my report." She replied. "Is he able to handle it Doctor?" Green asked Doctor Frankford.

"Yeah, yeah..." The Doctor said with a huff. "Hell he is cleared to leave, just need to come back for a check up after we land. Green nodded and gave James a smile.

"Well then, this concludes our meeting Mr. McCloud. Might I suggest you start getting ready for our departurte. I heard people experience mild space-sickness during their first jump." Captain Green said while grabbing the tip of her cap and nodding.

James snappd back out of his thoughts looking to the Captain. The fox gave a small nod as well as the two commanding officers left the room. James let out a sigh as Doctor Frankford walked up to the table. "Your clothes are in the room next door. I'll have a nurse help you should you need it." Frankford would pull out the IV and apply gauze to the spot the needle was in.

"I don't think I'll need it." James replied holding up his now free hand. "It's not the first time I've broken a bone." Doctor Frankford snorted.

"Better be the last time I hear about it." Frankford stated while sighing. James chuckled at the doctor's demeanor while nodding. James got out of the bed where he leaned back some to stretch while his tail straightened out, having been pinned under his body while he lied down. He grabbed the photo the Captain brought him and walked to the adjacent room and began to put onthe bottom half of his flight suit and slipping his left arm into the sleeve. He also put on his white jacket with his left arm. Not attempting to move the right for the time being as to not disturb the injury. Afterward he'd put the photo in his jacket pocket.

That's not to say it would be easy to do so, instead quite the opposite, but James was determined to handle it, and so he did. Eventually he'd exit the second room as a voice came over the ship intercom. "This is Commander Everwind, Taffy 7 will begin its jump proceedure now, for those unprepared for the experience I recomend you brace yourself upon something during Warp. We will be warping in the next half hour." The gruff voice of the commander stated over the ship's intercom befoe it shut off. James sighed, remembering precisely why he never entered full military service while exiting the room. Nevertheless, he'd brace himself on the wall, expecting the ship to lurch or shudder. That would be when the ship's lights went red and the alarm was raised.

Subspace Exit Point

Near Pluto

As Taffy 7 would make final preparations to warp out of the area, leaving Taffies 8 and 9 to watch the area, an unstable looking red portal would begin to open, the first to notice would be Phantom Squadron. "Phantom 1, Dawn. Exit point is hot, I repeat exit point is hot!"

"Dawn, Phantom 1. Repeat last." The communications officer replied.

"Reading 3 new ships exiting the point, god they are ugly." Phantom 1 replied as the squadron of Cosmo Tiger IIIs banked and started heading back to the patrol group. The ships in question would have two wing like apendages upon the back of the ship which transitioned into a 'suedo hammerhead like shape on the bow. The bow would be flanked by two twin barreled turrets which started to track the squadron of fighters.

"Fucking hell!" Phantom 4 exclaimed over the commincations channel.

"Dawn, Phantom 1. Return to escort patern around Taffy 7, keep tight and close. We are scrambling all avalible pilots.

"Roger, Phatoms on my wing!" Phantom 1 called out.

"Don't have to tell us twice." Phantom 3 commented as the flight of four raced back to the mothership.

"Tactical analasys." Captain Green ordered.

"Sir, unknown portal is colapsing under some form of strain, seems to be from the origin point. The three vessels that emerged are trying to reverse position but have weapons lock." Lieutenant Foster replied while staring at the screen. "Vessels seem to be about corvette-frigate class based on our naval identification system and are armed with two twin turrets of unknown output. There is one aditional turret on the ventral side of the ships but it is significantly smaller than the heavy turrets."

"Not so much a combat force huh Captain?" Commander Everwind commented. Captain Green gave a shake of her head and turned to the communicstions stations

"Any communications coming from the vessels, Lieutenant Commander?" The Captain asked.

"Mostly ship to ship, nothing directed our way at the moment." The Communications officer replied with a shake of the head. He turned to Captain Green. "Want me to try to raise them?" The Lieutenant Commander asked, to which Green nodded.

"Try to raise them on standard frequencies, let's ward them off." Captain Green stated. The communications officer tapped a few buttons.

"Channel open." The Lieutenant Comnander replied.

"This is Captain Amanda Green of the EFCF Condorde Dawn, you have violated the outer perimeter of the Sol System wituout authorization. State your intentions or you will be fired upon." Captain Green stated in a firm in authoritative voice. "You have 40 seconds to comply." She finished her statement and let the threat linger in the air as she stared off out of the windows of the bridge and to the bright light rhe dying portal would cast. 20 seconds later, a beep would come from the communications console. Wordlessly the main viewer above the windows of the bridge would crackle to life as a dimly lit room would appear. Inside the room, a lizard like being with a red helmet would be seen. It appeared to be wearing a matching red uniform and their white eyes would widen a bit upon seeing the interior of the bridhge of the Concorde Dawn.

"This is Captain Garvanzia of the Venomite Frigate Armageddon." The lizard said while regaining its composure. "Forgive our intrusion into your system Captain, we werw on the hunt for a...wanted fugative. He had stolen some technology from our science centers and we seek to bring him to justice for his crimes." The lizard stated smoothly.

"We are unfamiliar with the fugative of which you speak. However we picked up a damaged fighter craft and have given the pilot medical attention. The fox is currently recovering from his injuries as he is in a coma." Captain Green lied, not exactly trusting the lizard's reasoning for their being on the system.

"Then I must insist you hand him over immediately!" Garvanzia demanded, gaining a bit of an arogant expression upon its face.

"As I have said, he is very weak and should we move him, it could cause him to pass away before we deliver him to you." Green stated flatly as she shook her head. "As such under Earth Federation law is clear in this matter, besides I have no proof of his crimes. Until then I cannot in good faith hand him over to an unknown party." This only caused the lizard to gain a tick visible by its eyes.

"Captain, this an Internal Affair of Venom." Garvanzia stated while holding more of an agitated glance. "Should you hand over Jame McCloud, I will tell our Emperor myself about the diplomatic posibilies our peoples have. I am sure he would love to learn about a race of primitive space travelers taking their first steps into the stars." Some of the crew on the bridge snorted which caused Green to hold her hand up to silence the bridge.

"And if I refuse?" Green asked, her tone growing icy and her glare loosing emotion a bit as she brought her hands together. restinf her elbows upon the arm rests of her chair.

"Then you will be disabled and boarded. Your ship will be melted down to scrap and your people imprissoned for harboring a known fugative!" The lizard said in annoyance. "Do not force me to fire upon your ship."

"Threatening an Earth Federation vessel within soverign Earth Federation space could be interpreted as an act of war Captain." Green retorted, causing Garvanzia to snort rather loudly in amusement.

"I do not fear primitives, Captain. You will either hand over the fugitive or will be fired upon!" Garvanzia replied with a laugh while anger over took their form.

"I will not transfer someone who I have not been provided proof of their guilt." Captain Green replied calmly as Lieutenant Foster turned to the Captain.

"The weapons on those ships are powering up. They are about to fire Captain!" Foster exclaimed, Green however gripped her chair and braced for impact slightly as the Lizard smirked.

"Then we will pull him from the wreckage of your pathetic vessels! Fire all weapons!" The lizard said as the transmission cut off. Within an instant the space near the frigates lit up red as the twin dual turrets charged their main weapons. After a second each frigate would fire upon a ship of the formation, red streams of light carving though space like a hot knife through butter.

The EFCF Johnston was hit first, the crew braced for impact, the red beams slamming into the E-class but werent enough to pierce the shields of the vessel. The E-class was shifted a few meters to starboard but the damage would be negligable. EFCF Sagitarius would suffer a similar fate, only being shifted to the side a few meters. Concorde Dawn however wouldn't even be pushed, instead remaining stead fast as the beams collided with the shields.

After a few seconds the beams would wink away, the particles having been emitted from the barrels and the guns recharging. The Venomite crew would be in shock at the apprent resilience of the larger vessels before them as the three vessels of Taffy 7 stood resolute. "Lieutenant Hutchenson, return fire." Captain Green ordered. The blonde man sitting in the main tactical station nodded and tapped a few buttons on his console.

"Main Batteries, Fire!" He exclaimed as the twin turrets of the Concorde Dawn opened fire. Within an instant, blue positron bolts lit up the inky black of space. Barely any time would pass as the 6 bolts slammed into the farthest frigate. The Venomite Warship would buckle and crack under the force, the positron beam burning through the hull and deep into the vessel and out the other side. The Frigate lurched upwards from the force and exploded into a shower of debris, the other two frigates continuing to fire at the Earth fleet.

The two E-class cruisers would follow up with their own fire, following in the example of the Lexington Class Carrier. Their targets would also be blown to smitherines, leaving nothing but debris behind. As the last vessel would go up in smoke and ruin, the portal would pulse as 6 more frigates would emerge. "Send communications back to defense HQ. Taffy 7 has engaged hostile forces above orbit of Pluto, reinforcements requested immediately." Captain Green ordered as the Lexington Class came under another barrage of fire.

A.N.

Well guys I'm back. Sorry it has been a while since I posted anything but truth be told I am in Writer's Block for the ANA Rewrite and Whirl Effect. I really would love to update them but am stuck with idea block on ANA Rewrite and on the Season 2 Wheeljack episode, namely how the rest of the episode would play. Any feedback would be welcome on those stories. This story has been an idea in my head since I rewatched Space Battleship Yamato Ressurection and finishing the Star Fox Event horizon mod.
