What happens when Steve runs into Catherine & her date at The New Sushi Restaurant?
I wonder how Steve would react if Catherine decided to move on, too. This takes place after season six and before season seven, episode seven. It does not follow canon. I hope you all enjoy it. Leave a review if you choose.

Chapter One
-"Steve was pretty proud of himself. He had managed to fool others that he was happy with Lynn. Really, deep down, he was ashamed of himself. This is not him. Leading a girl's own just so wouldn't be nagged or getting pitiful looks.
-"He even heard Lou tell Danny he had finally moved on from Catherine. They didn't know he had heard them. He was not the same person he was after Catherine left him again. He was broken inside, and the pain and hurt were unbearable. At night, he called out her name, slept on her side, and hugged her pillow. He might fool others, but not what was in his heart.
-"Lynn was okay, but she wasn't Catherine; she was jealous and always agreeing with him to please him. She told him on the first date she felt they would be together forever. He was always drunk when she was around him because that was the only way he could sleep with her. Part of him felt guilty, as if he was cheating on Catherine. How ridiculous is that? He kept that ring close because, in his mind, it represented the love of his life and how he missed her. The first night with Lynn, he called her Catherine, and from then on, a few times after, he kept his mouth shut. There was no love and affection behind it. It was an act for him. Lynn was just a means to keep the animals off his back. He was playing it beautifully, or so he thought.
-"Kono came into his office one day, and she was pissed. I don't care if you fire me or not; it is wrong with you and Lynn. You need to get off your ass and find Catherine. You know there must be a reason she left, not what she told you. I was with her when you were in the helicopter. She was beside herself that you wouldn't make it back. That love, that real love. What you two have is the real deal.
-"That hit him hard because that was one of the last things Freddy told him. You might be acting like you are happy with Lynn, but the eyes don't lie. Steve left when Catherine left. All I am going to say is that there are things about Lynn you don't know. I said, my peace and hope you listen and she walked out the door.
-"He was shocked and never knew she could read him so accurately. His pride was wounded; if Catherine didn't want him, so be it. He was all-around badass, and ladies threw themselves at him, but he never gave them a second look when he was with Catherine because he had the perfect woman. Now he sleeps with anyone who flirts with him, even when he is with Lynn. He told her it was not serious between them, and she didn't mind it. It was okay with him. He knew it is because she thought she could change his mind.
-"Catherine had been gone for a year. Lynn and Melissa want to do another one of those stupid double dates. He hated them but went because Danny wouldn't stop nagging him until he did. He was trying to get back in Melissa's good grace. They were at a new restaurant that just opened up; it was Sushi and all the new rave. Since Catherine left, he could never return to their restaurant on King Street. He got up to go to the restroom on the opposite side of where they were sitting. The place was huge, and you couldn't see across the other side. He stopped in his tracks as he looked and saw Catherine sitting there with a guy.
-"What the fuck? At the same time, she looked up and saw Steve and smile. He goes over and says Catherine, what are you doing here. Who is this guy? The guy was also looking at him; he had a short blonde haircut. well-built and looked like a model.
-"He stood up and said Commander, I am Captain Alex Johnson. I heard a lot about you. I was a year ahead of you at the Academy. Steve did not like this guy at all but shook his hand. He turned his attention back to Catherine.
-"Answer my question! What are you doing on my island?
-"Your island? Since when did Oahu become your island? She gave him an angry look.
-"Alex said Commander, I think it best if you leave. You are upsetting Catherine.
-" Look, Al, he purposely calls him that. You don't tell me when I should leave. I think you know I am a Seal and what I am capable of.
-"Alex said I am Seal too, so you know what I am capable of.
-"Steve wasn't expecting that. His face had changed to what Danny called an aneurysm face.
-"Catherine knew she probably would run into Steve eventually, but it had been over three months since she returned, and she had managed to avoid him. She was no longer in the CIA but discovered Steve had moved on soon after he threw an ultimate in her face. She had hoped he would wait for her, but social media let her know he had not. Seeing the pics of the island trip and Valentine's dinner at a fancy restaurant crushed her soul.
-"All the pics had true love at first sight. We are so in love, and wedding bells are coming soon. We can't wait to have a lot of kiddos. The blonde was all over him. She was surprised he let his business be put on public display. Maybe he didn't love her like she thought. Lord knows he never took a day off for her. They never made it to dinner. She loves that part. There was some part of her wanting him to do more things with her outside of the job. Maybe they weren't meant to be, but she knew she needed to get Steve to leave before this turned into an all-out war.
-"Catherine said, pleading to Steve. Please leave and go back to your table. Alex said it's okay, baby and rubbed her arm.
-"That did it. Steve said don't your fucking touch her. He punched Alex in the face, and Alex punched him in the eye, and they were in a full-blown fight. Knocking over tables and breaking stuff.
-"The bartender yells if you don't stop, I call the police.
-"Catherine yells," Please stop right now! Everyone has heard the commotion and the fight. Danny says, "Let me go over and see if I can help."
-"Danny yells. Five-O, so you two break this up now. He didn't see it was Steve at first because the guy was on top of him. Danny pulled the guy off and said don't move, or I'll arrest you. He then saw it was Steve. What the hell are you doing fighting in a restaurant, and he helps him get up? He heard Catherine say you are a caveman and said thanks, Danny.
-"Danny was shocked and said hi, Catherine. This explains everything.
-"Catherine took Alex's hand and said let's go. They went out the side door. She drove so she went to his house.
-"Danny told Steve to sit down. You want to explain yourself.
-" Uh, I was going to the restroom and saw Catherine sitting there with a guy.
-"So, she has to right to be with a guy. You are not together anymore and you move on with Lynn.
-" Steve rubbed his hands over his face and felt his eyes; they were hurting, and he was sure he had a black eye. You are not helping Danny.
-"Okay, so what is Catherine doing back?
-"We didn't get that far because Al drew his name out and told me to leave.
-"They heard the bartender say, "Who will pay for this damage? "Danny said, "I'll bring you my credit card shortly. 500 should cover it. "Okay, said the bartender.
-" Steve said, Danny, I need you to cover for me; I am not in the mood for dinner. I need to get home and put some ice on this eye.
-"Okay, Steven, but you're too damn old to be getting in a bar fight. I check on you later.
-" Thanks, Danno. He went out the side door.
-" Danny paid the bartender. He returned to the table and said Steve had received a call from the governor to handle something personal for him. He is sorry he had to leave but wants us to stay and enjoy ourselves.
-"Lynn said," Oh no, I was looking forward to this dinner with him. He hardly wants to go out lately. Danny said, "I am sure he makes it up to you. Let's order and get some more drinks."
-"Danny thought there would be trouble now that Catherine was back.
AN: This one will have a lot of twists and turns. There is a different bad guy in this one. I decide to give Lynn a break. It going to be a long story.
