Final Chapter
-"Another three months passed. Steve and Catherine had managed not to sleep together. It was getting harder and harder, especially when they were sleeping together.
-" Catherine loves the new bedroom furniture, especially him engraving their name on the headboard inside a heart. It was blue with white anchors. She had managed to put the idea of Lynn being there out of her mind. She stayed over a couple of nights, and he stayed in her place the other nights.
-"They took weekend trips. They also hung out with the Team every Friday night. Everyone took time teasing them about rescuing themselves.
-"Who else can get out of handcuffs? Nobody but this animal. Everyone laughed. Steve rolled his eyes at Danny.
-" Danny kept his promise and never went to Steve's house unless he called first.
-"Steve told her he wanted to take her to Coronado for the weekend. He wanted to visit their old stomping ground, the bar where they hung out and played pools and darts. All the Seals went there. Freddy, Billy, Sam, and Joe showed up every now and then.
-"That will be great to go back and see some of the old places. Do you think our initials are still engraved on our table? I am unsure, but Moe, the owner, is still there. I thought he retired or sold it by now. Nah, he said this is all he got, and he loves being there for his kids. His kids? The new BUD/S classes every year.
-"Steve had everything arranged. He still had her ring. He lied and said he got rid of it but didn't. He was happy that Lynn didn't post on social media about the ring. As far as he knew, Catherine never knew he would propose to her before she left.
-"This time, he was actually going to do it. He thought enough time had passed, and without a doubt, he was sure of his love for her and her for him.
-"He had told the Team and Danny in particular not to ruin the surprise. They would fly out on Friday, including Mary and Joan.
-"Mary was upset with Catherine for leaving Steve, but once she found out why they were back together, she was extremely happy. She knew Steve loved Catherine but knew he was hurt. Mary and Catherine had made their peace and were now close like sisters.
-" Her parents were flying in also on Friday. They wanted to pay for the entire party, but Steve said no. He could afford it.
-"Sarah was coming. Duke, Jerry, Kamekona, Flippa, Max, and even the governor. HPD would cover. Sam Hanna said he would fly in since it was close to LA. Joe was coming and said he wouldn't miss it.
He talked to Moe and helped him with the decoration and getting a DJ, videographer, and photographer. He had a granddaughter who was an event planner, and she would help him.
-"It was Sat the day of the surprise engagement party. He told her after stopping by the bar, he wanted to take her to that restaurant they had that reservation and never made it. She needs to wear something fancy. She had packed the perfect dress.
-"She noticed his phone was blowing up. She didn't worry about it being Lynn anymore; she had heard that she and Alex were now seeing each other. She heard Danny tell Steve that Lynn finally gave us on him and had moved on.
-"She came out wearing a navy blue dress low cut in the front, hugging her in all the right places and the back out below the shoulders. You look beautiful. He wore his navy blue suit with an open collar and a white shirt. You look very, very handsome, sailor. He said wait, I got something for you. He showed her the necklace he had purchased in Maui. Oh, Steve, it is beautiful. He put it on her neck.
-"Let go. I enjoyed seeing all our old spots yesterday. It brought back so many memories. Yes, good memories, and he pecks her lips.
-"Everyone was there. Danny said Man, I can't believe Steve opened his wallet. He pulled out all the stops. Yeah, is beautiful said Kono.
-"Joe said this was the hang-out spot for BUD/S and personnel working at the base.
-"Sam said he and Catherine beat everybody at pools and darts. All while staring at one another. Sam did the finger quote, but they were just friends, and they laughed. Joe said the whole damn Navy knew it was a lie. Everyone laughed.
-"It Steve sad Jim, they are here. He dims the light.
-" He opened the door and said after you. She walked in and heard surprise. Clapping ad Hooyah. The light came back on.
-"Oh my God, what is this? She looked back at Steve, and he had this huge grin on his face. He takes her hand but stops at their table. Catherine, we spent many nights in this booth talking about nothing or something. You helped me when I didn't think I would make it through Seal. You encouraged me and said I was a man of strength and could do anything I put my mind to. I deny you were anything else but a friend.
-"Sam said we all knew that was a lie. He rolled his eyes. Yes, it is a lie, but that's all we could be at that point in our lives. You stood by me and showed me how to open my heart. I don't know where I would be there without you. You love me unconditionally when I didn't give you much to hold on to. You are my best friend, confidante, conscientious, and, most importantly, the woman I love from the bottom of my heart.
-"I am so grateful you agreed to give us another try and forgive me for losing my way. You never left my heart or mind. He got down on one knee and said Catherine Angelic Rollins will you marry me?
-"Tears are flowing down Catherine's eyes. Yes, yes, I married you, and what took you so long?
-"He stands up and plants a passionate kiss on her to more cheers, balloons falling, and confetti to many loud cheers and more hooyah.
-"Steve turned around and thanked everyone for coming and keeping it a secret. Everyone looks at Danny. Why is everyone looking at me? They laughed.
-" Catherine looked at their table. Steve, our carving at the table is still here. There was a candle surrounded by plumeria flowers and the pic they took there years ago. He takes one of the flowers and puts it over her left ear. He kisses her again.
-"Her parents came forward, honey we so happy for you. I can't wait to for some grandbabies. Mom, we just got engaged. You have been together forever. Steven, I always knew you were perfect for her. Thank you, ma'am. McGarrett, you better take care of my baby girl. I don't want to have to kick your ass if you don't. Dad, be nice. You can count on me taking care of her for sure, sir. We let some others come up.
-"Mary, it's so good to see you. Where Joanie? She doesn't do well at parties. The hotel babysitting staff is watching her. Wow, who knew my big brother knew how to throw a party and say such romantic words? Mare, please. Thank God I am not near your room tonight because I know there will be a lot of Oh God and she laughs. Catherine blushed, and Steve said enough, Mare, and he hugged her. Catherine, this is for you. It is a letter Aunt Deb left for you. She always hopes you two end up getting married and having a lot of babies. She giggled. I'm going to talk to the team. I read it later in private. She put it in her purse.
-"Danny said. Damn, partner, I never knew you could speak so many words. I can't believe you finally pried that wallet open with a crowbar. The man hugged. You are a real comedian, Danno. Catherine, I am so happy you are back to keep this animal under control. Thanks, Danny. Where Gracie? She had a cheer competition that she had been practicing nonstop for. I was ordered to take plenty of pics and to play this for you. Uncle Steve and Aunt Cath, I am so sorry I couldn't attend. I am so happy my favorite Aunt and Uncle are getting married. I put my hat in the ring for a bridesmaid. I love you, and she blew her a kiss. Catherine said that was beautiful with happy tears. Now let me snap a pic to send to her. Steve put his arm around her, and both smiled ear to ear.
-"Kono and Chin were next. Sista I am so happy for you. Let me see that ring. Damn, boss, it is beautiful. You did good. Chin said Catherine, I was always pulling for you two, and I am so glad you two follow your heart, and it's about damn time.
-"Lou said Rollins. Since you are back, I can see the change in this one. He is a lot nicer. I thought one time we would have to put him in the rendition room to get him straight. Lou, that's enough, and they laugh. Renee hugged Catherine and said I told Lou that man only has eyes for you. Thanks, Renee, and thank you for ensuring he has some home cooking meals.
-" Joe said I told you from day one you two belonged together. If you two weren't so stubborn, you would have done this long ago. When you're right, you're right, Joe. Joe, I can't thank you enough for what you did for me and for ensuring I got back to Steve. Somebody had to set you two straight, or you would have taken forever to get here. He hugged them and said congratulations.
-"Sam Hanna, good to see you, brother. Kitty Cat, you know if this one gives you any trouble, just call me, and I take care of his ass. I am really happy for you and Smooth Dog. He would have done this years ago if he had listened to me. I still want my steak dinner. They hugged and said thanks, Sam.
-" Governor, thanks for coming. You think I miss the day you got your ass married. Congratulations, Lieutenant Rollins, and if you want to return to Fve-0, you can. Thank you, sir, but I am happy in my new job. I have to agree your being back has changed this one for the better. He patted Steve on the shoulders.
-"Kamekona said Big Kahuna and my favorite customer, I can hook you up for your weddings; thanks, big guy, and we'll let you know.
-"Duke and his wife said your Dad would be so proud that you are happy and found the perfect woman. Thank you both for coming, and that means a lot and they hugged.
-"Max, Flippa, and Jerry came up and said congratulations. Jerry said just let me know if the boss man gets out of line. Steve rolled his eyes at him. Thanks, Jere.
-"Well, Lieutenant, let's say we blow this joint. The DJ played My First, My Last, My Everything by Barry White. Danny said it was Barry White time, and everyone laughed. One dance, and we are out of here. He and Catherine had all the moves; Steve even twirled her and never missed a beat. Danny asked if there was anything they couldn't do. Chin said I don't think so, brah. They end with her landing in his arms and he kissing her.
-"Okay, fiancée, let's blow this joint. Steve was practically dragging Catherine out; he said, enjoy everyone. There are a lot of drinks and food, and we are out of here. That is a man on a mission said Kono.
-"They booked a suite in a separate hotel, different from when everyone else was staying. Steve wasted no time in getting that key in the lock. Someone is in a hurry. You Damn straight, it has been too long since I was able to do this and squeeze her breasts. Catherine moaned and said get me undress now.
-"He unzipped her dress. He said I am the luckiest man in the world. She wore a navy blue bra hooked in the front and lace blue panties. He then rips his coat, shirt, pants, and shoes. Catherine had kicked out her shoes.
-" He threw her on the bed. She said wait, Steve, you think we should wait till we get married? His face changed to a big frown. She goes to gotya and pulls him down on her. He kissed her neck, the part that drove her crazy. He unhooked her bra, and his hand and tongue rolled over her breast.
-"He got his first, Oh God, then he went to rip her panties off but noticed they were crotchless. He growled and said, Rollins, these are not Navy regulations. You are complaining fiancé, hell no. He rips them off, and he touches her there with his finger. Another Oh God, Oh God. He stops for a minute to rip his boxer off. Catherine's eyes went wild. It had been too long since she saw her favorite part of him. I see someone is ready for me, so get to work. That he did. It's like they've never been apart. They just click, and bodies sync at one. They made love all night long and in every position they could imagine. They took turns pleasuring each other orally. Steve was going out of his mind with euphoric. He had a lot of stress. He had built us for months. It was worth the wait.
-"The next morning, I don't think I can walk Steve, someone was feeling himself. You are complaining. No, I am stop complaining. You were the one who woke me up at 0200 AM begging for more. She swatted his hand; I was not begging, maybe just a little. They laughed. Uh, I don't want a long engagement. I don't either. Good, and I want to start having a lot of babies right away. Babies? Yes, I figure we could do one after another. Lord knows I'm going to love trying, and he smirks. Is that right? Okay, I'm all in, Commander. You better get to work and that he did.
-" Catherine read Aunt Deb's letter before they left for home. Dear Catherine, I am not sure why you left my nephew and joined the CIA; I feel there is more to your story. From the first day I met you, I knew you were perfect for him and fit in with our family. I know you were there for him when his family couldn't. I have no doubt he loves you and hurt you are gone. He pretends he doesn't need anyone. You are the only one; I saw him so happy with that gleam in his eye when he was around you. I will be praying you two find your way back to one another. Love Aunt Deb. Both Steve and Catherine had tears in their eyes. It's beautiful, Steve. She kept telling me when she visited after you left to find you. I should have listened. They kiss and hug one another. I feel she has this big smile on her face now and is signing happily ever after.
-"Steve & Catherine were married before all their family and friends. There wasn't a dry eye in the house when they exchanged their vows. A few months after the wedding, they discovered they were expecting triplets. Steve was so proud of himself. He said I thought I would get our family started instantly and save you from going through it so many times. I can't help it my swimmers are super. Just remember you getting up when they started crying and changing many diapers. I am all in, Lieutenant. Steve was so thankful that a fight at New Sushi Restaurant would lead to him finding happiness with the only woman he ever loved.
