A Battle Maid's Azeroth Adventure

Happy Birthday...

Noelle's day had been long and eventful, like any other day spent with the Honorary Knight. Alongside Aether, Razor, and Barbara, she had spent the day clearing Leyline Outcroppings around Mondstadt. The work was exhausting, but their earned Mora would greatly benefit the Knights of Favonius.

The group returned to Mondstadt via the teleporter, arriving at the height of the Windblume Festival. It was Aether's first time experiencing the festival, and Noelle and her friends ensured it was memorable. As Noelle prepared to continue her evening errands, Aether and Paimon insisted she rest in her quarters. Despite her protests, Noelle couldn't convince them otherwise. Noelle often seemed stubborn to strangers, but she believed she had difficulty convincing others of her point of view. However, Aether and Paimon always managed it quickly; this time was no exception.

In no time, Noelle had "walked" to the Favonius Headquarters. Her brisk pace made the walk almost pointless as a rest, but Noelle was a sturdy person who had endured both failures and pyrrhic victories. The sprint was nothing to the aspiring Knight of Favonius. As always, the three Knights, Porthos, Athos, and Aramis, stood guarding the entrance.

"Good evening!" Noelle called out cheerfully.

"Miss Noelle, good evening! Welcome back!" Porthos replied, seemingly wanting to say more but holding back. They all seemed warmer than usual. Had something nice happened while she was gone? Noelle gave them a polite curtsy and headed inside.

The Headquarters was quieter than usual. Knights Wood and Wyatt were at their posts, but most others were nowhere to be seen. She greeted the two knights, who, like the others, seemed in an unusually good mood. She wondered why, but they were too tight-lipped to tell her.

Her quarters were just a short distance away, situated on the below-ground floor with the other maids. Head Maid Maleen had given her a room, which Noelle appreciated but could have done without the extra attention. However, Mistress Maleen insisted on spoiling 'the Chivalric Blossom'. As Noelle reached her door, the day's aches hit her all at once, and she was grateful for the early leave she had been given.

Opening the door, Noelle was greeted with a surprising sight.

"Spark Knight Klee?!"

"Surprise, Big Sis Noelle!" yelled the young pyromaniac, jumping up and hugging Noelle's legs. As Noelle confusingly returned the hug, Klee had a realization.

"Oh, I was meant to yell 'surprise' before you could say anything."

"Um, Klee? What are you doing?"

"Hehe, distracting you~," Klee responded cheekily.

"Distracting me from what?" Noelle asked, growing more suspicious.

"You'll have to catch me!" Klee shouted before darting out of the room.

"No, wait! You mustn't! Master Jean may punish us both again!" Noelle yelled, chasing after the mischievous girl.

As Noelle kept pace behind Klee, she noticed the few Knights present left her to her chase, trusting her to handle the situation. She shook off the silent praise and focused on catching the little girl, who continued singing, "La la la~."

Despite being only half her height, Klee managed to stay ahead of Noelle, leading her through the city. They both dizzied passers-by, with Noelle apologizing and Klee gleefully shouting, "Wee!" Finally, in the marketplace, Noelle caught the "Red Burny Girl" in her arms.

"Now, what was this all about, young missy?" Noelle asked, exhausted.

"No! I was so close. Klee just had to bring Noelle to the Cat's Tail!" Klee harrumphed.

"What? Why didn't you just say so? Does someone there need my assistance?" Noelle asked.

Klee gave the question more thought than Noelle expected, raising her suspicions. But she chalked it up to the Spark Knight's childishness.

"Um... Yeah! I think so. There are people there who super need you right now!" Klee said, running off again but stopping to wave Noelle to follow her. Noelle's suspicions grew as Klee excitedly waved for her to hurry.

As Klee led Noelle into the Cat's Tail by the hand, a loud chorus of voices made her jump in her boots.

"Happy Birthday!"

A/N: I chose Noelle for this crossover because she's the most appropriate for an isekai adventure. Apart from the Patch 1.4 dating quest with her, she hasn't had much character development, & I also feel she has the most room to grow.

She's also not that powerful within the lore of Genshin, which allows her growth when sending her to another world. In contrast, sending Venti, Xiao, Zhongli or Childe to another setting would be a stomp.

Whether you have her on your account, hate her or love her, or think she's S Tier or C Tier, keep in mind I chose her for the cool factor. While playing Genshin Impact, I thought how cool she would be as a Warcraft Paladin.
