It was the next morning, Erin was fast asleep, and Jay was fast asleep next to her, a comforting hand on her belly, feeling ever so slightly faint kicks from the baby nestling inside.

One kick was really hard, and it made Erin wince.

"Ouch, Bean! Mama's trying to sleep, no kicking please."

The kicking sort of slowed down, but it was still faint.

"Jay, babe."

Jay mumbled, and groaned.

"Can you talk to your daughter? She's kicking up a storm in my organs!"

Jay groaned, waking up. "So, here's the deal, little munchkin. If you stop kicking mama, I'll buy you a tub of ice cream."

The baby stopped kicking, and Erin let out a sigh, collapsing back onto the bed.

"I'm so glad I married you…"

Jay smirked, nestling his head in the crook of her neck.

"Is that all?"

Erin groaned, and laughed. "And, for creating our beautiful family."

Jay nodded, and giggled. "That's better!"

Erin felt another kick, but it was stronger than the last one.

"O-Ow!"

Jay sat up, concern etching his features.

"What's wrong? Is it the baby?"

Erin grimaced, looking at Jay. "No, I'm just passing wind!"

Jay let out a low chuckle. "Alright! No need to get snarky with your husband…"

Erin closed her eyes, and groaned. "I'll do a lot more, if you don't get your ass downstairs."

Jay got up, got into some fresh clothes and rushed downstairs.

"Lila! Time to wake up!"

Lila was sleeping on the couch, for her afternoon nap, but she was soon woken up.

"What's going on, daddy?"

Jay grabbed the hospital suitcase and slid his shoes on. "Mommy could be having your sister."

Lila squealed and got up. "Now? Like Now, Now?"

Jay nodded and sipped some Whiskey.

"Yes! Go get dressed and pack some clothes and your toothbrush!"

Lila nodded and ran upstairs.

As Jay got himself together. He ran upstairs to get Erin.

Erin was leaning against the bed, gripping the sheets.

"Okay, I got Lila in her bedroom, getting some clothes and a toothbrush, let's see how you're doing" Jay explained.

Jay walked over towards Erin, letting her lean back on him. "How far apart are the contractions?"

Erin panted, and closed her eyes. "N-Not too far."

Jay nodded and went to try and lower her onto the bed.

"No, I-I need to lean on you…" Erin gasped.

Jay nodded, and grabbed her waist. "Alright! Alright, I'm here. I won't let you go."

Erin leaned on his shoulder, and sighed. "But. We do need to get to Med." Jay replied.

Erin shook her head, crying. "No! I'm not due for another two weeks!"

Jay's heart broke for his wife, but he remained strong.

"Er, babe, I know, but if we stay in the bedroom, the more likely you'll be giving birth on our bedroom floor."

Erin sobbed, and clawed onto Jay's shirt. "Please, Halstead. Don't leave me!"

Jay was confused. He wasn't going anywhere?

"Babe, what are you talking about? You think I'm gonna go off and get some fish and chips?"

Erin cried and shrugged. "I don't know? My hormones are all over the place!"

Jay laughed softly. "Yeah, I can see that!"

Erin panted and looked up. "Can we please go to Med? I don't fancy getting on my hands and knees…"

Jay nodded, and leant her against the wall. "That's what I've been trying to tell you, babe!"

Erin rubbed her sides, and breathed heavily through the next contraction.

"Alright! You ready to go?" Jay asked, holding the overnight bag in one hand.

Erin gripped the wall, leaning into Jay's arm. "Is that 'posed to be a trick question?"

Jay laughed and helped Erin walk downstairs.

"Mama! Are you seriously having my baby sister?!" Lila asked excitedly.

Erin looked at her daughter, nodding. "Yeah, hopefully, baby."

Lila squealed, clapping her hands.

"Let's go to Med! I'll call Will on the way!"

They all left the apartment, and got into the truck.

Jay got behind the wheel, and sped off into the night.

As Jay drove. He pulled into the emergency bay at Chicago Med.

Jay got out of the truck, and noticed his brother.

"Will! You gotta hurry, man!"

Will rushed over with a wheelchair and a couple of nurses.

"Hey, Erin! How you doing?"

Erin sat up, and snapped. "You got five seconds to switch into doctor mode or I will happily give birth on the sidewalk!"

Jay winced, and looked at Will. "Yeah, she's in her sarcastic/snappish mood."

Will nodded, and the nurses helped Erin into the wheelchair.

"I can hear you, Halstead!" Erin bellowed.

Jay grabbed Erin's hand and Lila toddled along.

"Who's your OB/GYN, Erin?" Will asked.

Erin got settled comfortably onto the hospital bed, and sighed. "D-Dr Asher?"

Will nodded and handed the nurse a gown.

"I'll go page Dr Asher. In the meantime, Monique will get you settled in this gown."

Erin nodded and grabbed the gown. "I can do it myself, I'm not an idiot!"

Jay rubbed her shoulders and kissed them. "Babe, can you tie me up?"

Jay went to do it, but Monique stepped in.

"I'll do it. Mr Halstead." Monique nodded.

Jay sighed, and sat with Lila. "How you doin, sweetheart?"

Lila looked up from her play phone and smiled.

"I'm okay! I'm watching Bluey!"

Jay smiled, ruffling her hair. "You're being so good for mama and daddy."

Lila giggled, and got comfortable on the chair.

Monique finished doing basic checks on Erin, and put a line for medication in her arm.

"Alright, she's more calmer now, she just needs to be moving." Monique explained.

Jay nodded and walked over to Erin's side. "How you feeling, babe?"

Erin yawned, and opened her eyes. "Like, I'm about to push out a big load of wood."

Jay laughed, and kissed Erin's hand.

"I'm so so proud of you, my beautiful, strong wife."

Erin smiled drowsily, and closed her eyes. "Thank you, my handsome man."

The door opened and it was Dr. Hannah Asher. "Hey, how are you feeling, Erin? Any pain? Nausea? Dizziness?"

Erin shook her head, and groaned softly. "I got a massive migraine coming on?"

Hannah nodded and walked towards Erin's bed. "I wanna feel around your belly, making sure baby isn't in an awkward position.

Erin nodded, placing her hands above her head.

As Hannah felt around Erin's belly, she smiled.

"I think she's in the right place, you're not fully dilated yet, but when you are. Things will slowly start moving quicker.

Erin nodded, closing her eyes.

"Doc, is that bad?" Jay asked.

Hannah smiled reassuringly. "Not at all. It just means baby isn't ready to meet the world yet, but everything is looking normal. I'll check back in a bit."

Jay nodded, feeling a bit reassured. "Okay, I trust you, doc!"

Hannah smiled, and walked out of the room.

After Hannah left. Erin was sitting up, dazed and confused.

"Woah! Er, baby, maybe you should lay down?"

Erin shook her head, and held her arms out. "J-Just let me lean on your chest, I wanna start swaying."

Jay was unsure, but agreed.

"Alright, let's start swaying then?"

Erin leant on Jay's chest, and they both swayed together.

As Lila looked up, she was little confused.

"Swaying? What does that mean?"

Jay looked over, and spoke in a calm manner.

"It basically means, doing a little dance with mommy, she leans on my heart and we slowly sway together, it's a dance for the baby as well in mommy's tummy."

Lila nodded, starting to understand, "Can I do it?"

"Yeah, why don't you try with one of your big teddy bears, I need to be here for mommy."

Lila toddled over to her bag, and pulled out one of her teddies and started copying her parent's moves.

"Like this?" She asked.

Jay looked over, smiling. "Exactly! Good Job, baby!"

Lila smiled, and continued her soft sways.

"Ooh, that's a big one." Erin mumbled.

Jay looked at Erin, and felt her contracting belly. "Do you want me to get the nurse?"

"No, No, you heard what Dr Asher said. I'm not fully dilated yet. It'll pass soon."

Jay nodded, and Will walked back in.

"How we doing, guys?"

Lila looked up from her teddy bear and into Will's eyes. "Look! Uncle Will! I'm doing what mommy and daddy are doing!"

Will laughed softly, awing at his niece. "Good Job, Munchkin!"

He walked over towards his standing brother and sister in law.

"Erin, can we get you lying down on the bed, just for a little while."

Erin was scared, she wasn't ready. "I-I'm not ready for her to come yet, Will."

Both men looked at each other, feeling so bad for Erin.

"Baby, listen to me, I love you so much, if I lie down on the bed, you can lay on my chest, that way, you're still in my arms, and Will can examine you."

Erin thought about the suggestion, and nodded. "O-Okay, but be careful, she's very delicate."

Will gloved up his hands and rolled Erin's gown up exposing her pregnant belly.

"I'll be very careful, Er. I promise!"

Erin nodded, and relaxed onto Jay's chest.

As Will felt around her belly, he felt the baby in an uncomfortable position.

"Okay, Erin. Little Munchkin is in a difficult position, I'm going to get Dr Asher, and she'll have some better understanding on what's happening.

Will rushed out of the room, and Erin felt a sense of dread.

"Something's wrong with her, Jay."

Jay kissed the side of her face, and reassured. "Babe, Bean's just being a bit athletic, doesn't mean she's in danger?"

Erin sniffled, and teared up. "No! I did this! It was that stupid pillow! I got her in the uncomfortable position, she might not be able to breathe!"

Jay shushed her gently, and held her close. "Erin-Louise-Lindsay. Never think this is your fault! You didn't know what bean was gonna be doing in there, you are going to give birth to our healthy, athletic baby girl, and I promise you, she will be fine!"

Erin sobbed, and shook her head. "But, you don't know that! She could die in there, Jay!"

Before Jay could answer. Dr Asher walked in.

"Doc, what's going on? My wife is in pieces and she's getting thoughts in her head, thinking our baby will be stillborn."

Dr Asher felt around Erin's belly, and consulted with Will.

"I don't think there's any need for a C-Section. Baby's not in immediate distress, but if she is, then we'll get her up to the OR."

Will nodded, and got prepped for delivery.

"Alright, Erin. Baby looks fine, I think she's just moving around, and is a bit stuck, but we're going to do everything we can to make sure she gets delivered safely." Hannah explained.

Erin sniffled, squeezing Jay's hand. "O-Okay, I guess?"

"Alright! Time to have a baby!" Hannah smiled.

As the nurses got Erin set up for delivery, one of them put Jay in a gown.

Erin was giving some oxygen, and was attached to various monitors one for the baby's heartbeat and multiple for herself.

"C-Can someone call my dad?" Erin asked.

Will walked over and held her hand. "I'll get Hank down here, and I'll keep Lila with me."

Erin nodded, and Jay looked at Will. "Thanks, Man!"

Will nodded, and lifted Lila into his arms, and left the room.

"Okay, when I say "push" I need you to give me a big push," Hannah instructed.

Erin nodded, and got on her arms. "I'm so proud of you, baby." Jay whispered.

"Push!"

Erin pushed as hard as she could, squeezing Jay's hand in the process.

As Erin panted, she collapsed back onto the bed.

"Alright, pant for me, Erin. Pant, pant." Hannah guided.

Erin panted heavily, and cried.

"Alright! One Last Push!" Hannah reassured.

Erin got back onto her arms, and breathed into the oxygen tube.

"Push!"

Erin pushed as hard as she could, letting out a scream.

"Here she comes! One more push, and she'll be here!" Hannah smiled softly.

Erin screamed and possibly broke one of Jay's fingers. "Here she is!" Hannah exclaimed.

Erin sobbed, leaning back against the pillows.

"I-Is she okay?" Jay asked.

Hannah nodded, and cut the cord.

"You've got a beautiful baby girl, present and correct."

Erin laughed softly, and Jay held her in his arms.

"You did it, Er! You really did it!"

Erin smiled, and sniffled.

"Can I see her?"

Hannah nodded, and a nurse brought the baby over.

"Here she is! She's beautiful!" The nurse commented.

Erin held the baby gently in her arms, supporting her tiny head. "Hi, baby, I'm your mommy, I love you so much."

Jay looked over, and held the baby gently. "Hi Bean, I'm your daddy, and I love you so much too!"

Erin smiled, and leant against the pillows.

"Alright, Erin. Time to stitch you up." Hannah nodded.

Erin nodded, rolling onto her back, and looked at Jay, holding their baby.

After a few hours. Erin was settled into bed, and the baby was fast asleep in her bassinet.

Jay was sitting on Erin's bed, and she was cuddled into his side. "We're good parents, right?" Erin asked.

Jay kissed her head, nodding. "Of course, we are!"

"It's just that-." Erin started, but the door opened.

It was Will and Lila, wearing big smiles.

"Shush! She's just gone back to sleep!" Erin shushed softly.

Will nodded and walked Lila slowly over. "That's your baby sister, Lila. Isn't she cute." Jay smiled.

Lila felt the baby's belly, and giggled. "Her tummy is soft and squidgy."

Everyone laughed softly, and Erin closed her eyes.

"How you feeling, baby mama?" Natalie asked.

Erin reopened her eyes, and stretched. "Like I've given birth?"

Natalie giggled softly, and nodded. "Good Answer!"

As everyone looked at the baby in the bassinet, they asked Erin and Jay a question.

"So, what do you think of naming this little angel?" Will cooed.

Erin looked at Jay, who looked back.

"Meet. Camille-Kyra-Halstead." Erin smiled.

Natalie and Will awed and Jay kissed Erin's head. "Camille would be so proud of you, Erin."

Erin smiled, nodding. "Just wish she was here…"

"If she could? She'd kick all of us out of the room, and made sure she would be the only one allowed in…" ? commented.

Everyone turned and saw Hank Voight.

"Hi Dad!" Erin smiled.

Hank walked over, and placed a fatherly kiss on her head. "Hi Kiddo, how you feeling?"

Erin sighed, and rubbed her bloated stomach. "I feel winded and exhausted."

Hank laughed softly, and ruffled her hair. "I wish I can relate to that, kid."

Erin laughed, and pointed Hank in the direction of her baby. "Meet Camille-Kyra-Halstead." Jay introduced.

Hank looked in the bassinet and awed. "She looks just like you, Halstead."

Jay smirked, and kissed Erin's head.

"Ca-Can I pick her up?" Hank wondered.

Jay looked up, and nodded. "She's your granddaughter, Hank. You don't need permission to hold your own granddaughter."

Hank nodded, and slowly cradled Camille in his arms, her tiny head resting on his arm. "She's gorgeous, Erin. You and Halstead did well."

Erin and Jay looked at each other, and smiled. "Can I hold her, mama?" Lila wondered.

"Maybe, when she's a bit bigger, sweetheart, she's still a bit too fragile for you to be able to hold her." Erin explained.

Lila pouted, but nodded. "Awe, okay, mama!"

Later. Everyone was at home, and Camille was peacefully sleeping in the bassinet, while Erin and Jay watched a movie on the hospital tv screen.
