Special Chapter 1
One day Reina had plans. She was going to visit Fukumoto. Fukumoto was coming to the end of his life now. Because Reina and her companions changed history for Fukumoto, he wasn't living in an isolated house on his own this time. This time, and right now, Fukumoto was staying in a hospice. The companions waited outside while Reina went inside the hospice.
"I remember him," said Hone Onna "we helped him fifty years ago when that man Okochi tried to do something terrible to his wife". "Yeah and that was because Fukumoto refused to do his request of writing lies about somebody" said Ren. "I heard that Okochi died from an illness twenty years ago; must have been a karma from hell" said Wanyuudou. "Since he went to hell after he died, it wouldn't surprise me" said Hone Onna. (The four companions still have the ability to tell if someone has gone to hell or heaven) Yamawaro heard about Fukumoto from the others before so he knew what was going on. "I wonder if we are going to meet other people, we helped out before, in the future" said Ren. "As Reina-san is meeting Fukumoto-san today, I reckon we will" said Hone Onna. (Reina is going to meet other people she helped before in the future)
Inside the hospice Fukumoto was lying down in bed, thinking about the past. Just then there was a knock on the door. "Come in" said Fukumoto. Reina entered the room; disguised as an old woman. "It's been a long time Fukumoto-san" said Reina. Fukumoto stared at her and recognized her as the woman who helped him and his wife fifty years ago. (This is because of Reina's magic) "Is that really you Reina-san?" he asked. "It's me" answered Reina.
Reina and Fukumoto started talking a lot. "I've heard you done well during your life Fukumoto-san" said Reina. "Yes;" said Fukumoto "I continued my job as a newspaper writer and my wife and I had four children. I'm a grandfather of nine now. It was sad for us when my wife passed away eight years ago; now it won't be long till I join her". 'At lease you are joining her this time Futumoto-san' thought Reina. "I am actually glad to see you again Reina-san," said Futumoto "I know I thanked you a lot when you saved my wife from Okochi years ago, but again I thank you for what you and your friends did. Sometimes I end up wondering what could have happened if you weren't there to help me". Reina knew exactly what would have happened; but she didn't want to say anything to scare Fukumoto. "What's important is nothing happened and both you and your wife were spared from that monster Okochi" said Reina. "Yes and he is in hell for what he tried to do" agreed Fukumoto.
Reina and Fukumoto chatted some more till Reina had to leave. "Again it was nice seeing you again Reina-san," said Fukumoto "and I thank you again for what you did for me and my wife fifty years ago". "I'm glad that I did," smiled Reina "and may you be at peace with your wife soon". Then she left, leaving Fukumoto to have a sleep.
Reina met up with her companions again outside the hospice. "How is he?" asked Wanyuudou. "He isn't going to last very long; death will come to him soon" replied Reina. She and her companions stared at the hospice.
A few days later Fukumoto passed on. Fukumoto's children and grandchildren all said goodbye to him at his funeral. Old friends of Fukumoto did too. Reina and her companions also gave their respects to him. Despite feeling bad for Fukumoto's death; Reina was thinking about how glad she was things had turned out for Fukumoto this time. Fukumoto and his wife lived happily and peacefully together, they had a family of children, and Fukumoto did not die alone. Reina prayed with all her heart that Fukumoto was resting in peace in heaven, and not in hell this time.
I am going to do some other special chapters with some older characters as well. Just to let you know I've updated some chapters because I felt they needed more added especially the chapter with Daisuke.
