Leena Klammer couldn't believe how easy it was getting away with yet another kill. She had been doing it for several years, and would continue going on killing until she finally got what she wanted. She quite enjoyed fucking around with the recent family that adopted her, especially the mother. Leena fooled them all into believing she was somebody else, convincingly playing off the role of a nine-year-old Russian girl named Esther. She learned a lot about each member of the family, observing them in secret as she planned on how to tear the family apart.

Finding out the family's weaknesses wasn't much of a chore. The Coleman family appeared perfect and looked happy whenever they went out in public, but nobody ever knew just how selfish and pathetic they really were. Esther relished watching them suffer as she preyed on the emotional turmoil created within the dysfunctional family, causing a rift between the once happy couple and their two children. The oldest child had been suspicious about her from the start. He knew too much about her killing someone and needed to die. Esther took care of Daniel by smothering him to death with a pillow, putting an end to his life for good, something the fire failed to do. She had to get rid of him to keep her secret hidden from the rest of the family.

All Esther ever wanted was to be normal and have a family, to share her life with someone who would love her as a person. She desired someone to love back for being kind to her and showing her that there was still some goodness left in this otherwise cruel, sadistic world. Alas, Esther was never allowed to live a normal life due to her condition. Trying to seduce the father didn't turn out the way she had hoped, which meant taking John out of the picture as well. The little daughter was next on Esther's list, but innocent, little Max managed to escape death that night.

Kate banged her hand on the roof of the greenhouse while Esther was searching for Max. If that stupid bitch had been quiet and not alerted her deaf daughter to the dangers happening around her, Esther could have wiped them both out. Kate fell through the roof just as Esther fired the last bullet at her. Soon as the Kate was on the ground, Esther reached over to grab a piece of glass, using it to slit Kate's throat to make sure she was dead.

Esther went back into the house and headed to the bathroom to wash the blood off her hands. After drying them, she went upstairs to her room and sat down in from of her vanity to put on her makeup, humming a familiar tune while she fixed herself up to look like a child again. The cops would be arriving soon, and Esther needed to disguise herself in case Kate tipped them off by giving a description of what she looked like. After much consideration, Esther decided to leave the state and get away from the house as soon as possible, not wanting to get caught.

Once she finished her makeup, Esther stood up and went to empty out her school backpack, throwing in some clothes, her makeup kit and a few toiletries. She slung the backpack over her shoulder, then went downstairs to the kitchen, opening the cupboards to look for some dried goods and canned foods she could take with her on the road. A jar of peanut butter and a half loaf of bread were sitting on the counter. Esther decided to take them both, along with a butter knife and a can opener. Finders keepers, she thought to herself, stuffing everything into a plastic bag before heading out the front door and to the car.

Esther ignored the howling blizzard as she approached the family's car, finding Kate's keys were in the ignition. Thanks a lot, bitch, Esther thought silently, taking the keys out before she went around the vehicle, opening the trunk to place her backpack and the bag of food inside. Esther closed the trunk so the snow wouldn't get her supplies all wet, then slipped the keys into her pocket before she headed back into the house one last time.

Standing over John's body, Esther glared down at man she failed to seduce. Sighing as she shook her head, a pitiful expression on her face, Esther knelt down to pick up the knife next to her victim. She already had a gun tucked down in the front of her pants, but having two murder weapons on her instead of just one would give her extra protection while she was on the run. Plus, it had her fingerprints on it. Esther had touched nearly everything in the house up to that point, but it didn't matter. If forensics went around the house collecting evidence and found out it was Leena Klammer who killed three family members out of four, Esther would be dead before she could blink.

Esther checked John's front pockets, finding nothing useful. She turned his body over to search his back pockets next, finding a wallet with about two-hundred dollars cash inside. She slipped the money into her pocket, disposing the now-empty wallet to the floor before she stood up and walked calmly out of the house. Esther heard police sirens approaching just as she got to the car and opened the door, slipping into the driver's seat, setting the knife on the passenger seat before she took the keys out, putting them into the ignition to start up the engine. Esther was careful as she backed out of the driveway, making sure she didn't hit anything. She then turned the car around and drove off into the dark, cold night in search of a new place to start over her facade all over again.
