Helping Yuko Pt 2

After helping Saki and her dad, it was time to help Yuko Murai and her dad again. (Again I have no idea what day it was they moved to the countryside, but it must have been in summer, and right now it is summer and I'm just making it up here) By now they had moved to the farm and they were moving their things in.

"So we are helping the Murai family now Reina-san?" asked Wanyuudou. "Yes since they have now moved to Takashi's late uncle's farm, it won't be long till that scumbag Ryousuke Sekine starts making his moves to steal it from them" said Reina. "What do you want us to do Reina-san?" asked Hone Onna. "You four will watch over Mr Sekine, and gather evidence of him planning to sabotage the farm and lying to Mr Murai" said Reina. "Ah so it's the usual of tricking him into blabbering everything to us and record it all?" said Ren. "Correct," said Reina "as for me, well Hajime and his family are visiting tomorrow so I'll be having words with Mr Murai then". Reina had a lot of words to say to Takashi, especially since it was his own stupidity that caused him to lose the farm and his life.

The next day Hajime, Ayumi and their daughter Tsugumi came to visit the Murai family on their farm. By this time Ayumi was pregnant by three months. (Thanks to Reina the Shibata family are living happily together) Reina was already there waiting for them. "Hajime and Ayumi it's been a while" said Reina. "Nice to see you again Reina" said Hajime. "How is life going for you?" asked Reina "all is good thank you Reina" answered Ayumi. Tsugumi happily greeted Reina and Reina did the same to Tsugumi. Reina was happy to see the Shibuya family were happy all together and glad to see Ayumi was alive and well and Tsugumi wasn't growing up without her mum. "Tsugumi-chan go and let the Murai family know that we are here, I need to talk to your mum and dad quick about something" said Reina. "Okay" said Tsugumi, and off she went.

"Sorry to bring this up now, but did you tell Takashi what I warned you about Mr Sekine, Hajime?" said Reina. "I did;" said Hajime "I also dug into any more information about the Sekine family". "I heard everything from Hajime and I still can't believe someone will want to sabotage an innocent family because of an old rival thing" said Ayumi. "As I said to your husband here Ayumi; Mr Sekine is a real scumbag who would do anything to get what he wants including doing a lot of bad things" said Reina. Hajime and Ayumi didn't like the sound of that. "I'll say this again; Takashi needs our help with protecting this farm from that man" said Reina. Hajime and Ayumi agreed; they certainly didn't want a friend of theirs get ruined because of some bad person.

The Murai family were happy to see Reina and the Shibatas and they spent most of the time talking and Yuko showed Tsugumi around the farm. Right now the farm was all good because Ryousuke Sekine hadn't done anything yet. Late that evening Hajime, Ayumi and Reina were having a talk with Takashi, while Tsugumi and Yuko were asleep.

"Well Takashi I see you are doing okay for yourself and Yuko," said Reina "and I see you look a lot better than the last time I saw you". "Yes; the truth is I took your words and advice seriously when you lectured me that one time Reina-san," said Takashi "and well another truth is my wife visited me in my dreams after that. This is kind of embarrassing but I dreamt I died after drinking some alcohol and then my wife slapped me hard, and yelled at me a lot because of my condition and for leaving Yuko alone just like that". (That was Reina's doing; after she spoke to Hajime about Ryousuke Sekine, she sent nightmares to Takashi about his angry wife to set him straight.) "Oh really?" said Reina, putting on an act, "well that's just as well. It was as I warned you about before Takashi; dying from alcohol abuse and having to face an angry wife for leaving Yuko alone like that. You'd best hope your wife doesn't do that to you for real, when you meet her in heaven for real, Takashi". Takashi flinched from embarrassment while Hajime placed a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. Ayumi liked seeing Reina being all serious and so.

"Now before we talk about anything else there is something important we need to tell you about Takashi" said Reina. "What is it?" asked Takashi. Reina nodded at Hajime; it was time for them to warn Tadashi about Ryousuke Sekine. "Takashi have you met your new neighbour Ryousuke Sekine yet?" asked Reina. "I have actually," answered Takashi "he greeted us yesterday. And he said if I need any advice he will be more than happy to help as a fellow farmer". "Don't," interrupted Reina "you must not ask that man for advice and it would be wise for you to stay away from him. He plans to cheat you out of your farm for money". "What?" said Takashi "What are you talking about?" "Reina speaks the truth" said Hajime. He and Reina started explaining about the history of Mr Muroi and Mr Sekine, about Mr Sekine's jealousy of Mr Muroi's success and how he wishes to gain control of Mr Muroi's farm to get him rich. "Trust us Takashi," said Reina "Mr Sekine is a scumbag who would do anything to get what he wants including cheating people out of their own property". Takashi couldn't believe his ears. "Hey, we are here to help you Takashi" said Hajime. "Thank you" said Takashi.

The next day Reina, Hajime and Tsugumi helped out Takashi and Yuko on the farm with the crops. Ayumi wanted to help too, but Hajime insisted she relaxed due to the baby. Reina kept in contact with her companions with telepathy; they warned Reina that Ryousuke did have plans for the Murai family, but right now he was laying low.

"I have to say your fields look good Takashi" said Hajime. "Thank you," said Takashi "my uncle actually left some instructions of his growing methods behind. I also learnt a lot thanks to the cultural education I took". "Now you understand why I told to learn about farming first before you start to live here" said Reina. "Yes, I thank you for that advice Reina-san" said Takashi. "Mind if I give you some other advice?" asked Reina. "Of course, always happy to hear advice from friends" answered Takashi. "Your plants seem to be well thanks to the fertilized soil you use," said Reina "but it's also best to use plant food for vegetables as well. A friend of mine used it on his vegetable garden as well and the vegetables grew in a better condition". "Really, then I'll do the same when I start growing new crops next year" said Takashi.

Just then a middle-aged man turned up; it was Ryousuke Sekine. "Hey there Murai-San," said Ryousuke "I see you're doing well these days and I see you have some friends round". He was clearly putting on an act, claiming to be a good neighbour. "Oh hello Sekine-san" said Takashi. He introduced Ryousuke to Reina, Hajime and Tsugumi and explained how they came to visit the farm and help him settle in. "I am pleased to meet you both," smiled Ryousuke "Murai-san I came here because I have these new pesticides that I use on my crops, and they are brilliant for keeping bugs off, so I thought maybe you would like to try them too?" Takashi was about to answer, but Reina interrupted him. "That is nice of you Mr Sekine but I'm afraid Takashi has already got plenty of pesticide thanks to his late uncle" she said. She quickly gave Takashi a look, saying not to accept Ryousuke's offer. "I'm afraid Reina-san's right Sekine-san I do still have some pesticides sorry" said Takashi. "Ah no problem, just tell me when you do need some," said Ryousuke "I better go because I need to do some shopping". Then he left.

Truthfully he was just pretending to accept his turned down offer; the pesticide offer was one of his plans. Reina knew this thanks to the anime, and she could tell that Ryousuke was not happy about his offer being turned down. She whispered to Hajime and Tadashi. "He's clearly pretending to be nice," she said "it's his first step of trickery". "What should we do?" whispered Hajime, believing that Ryousuke could not be trusted. "Leave it to me," whispered Reina "I have a good way of finding out about people, especially bad people". Of course Hajime and Takashi had no idea what Reina was going to do, but they agreed to trust her.

That evening Reina met up with her companions again and told them about Ryousuke wanting to give Takashi some fake insecticide. "He's making his move of pretending to be helping but tricking them to ruin them too" said Reina. "What do you want us to do Reina-san?" asked Wanyuudou. "It's time to gather evidence," said Reina "and Wanyuudou I'm leaving this one to you". "You leave it to me" said Wanyuudou, and he disappeared away. "Yamawaro do you think you can help Tadashi-san's crops grow a bit better?" asked Reina "the family can do with a little bit of help on their first crop growing". "Leave that to me Reina-san" said Yamawaro. "Ren and Hone-Onna continue keeping an eye on Ryousuke in case he does anything suspicious" said Reina. "On it" said Rein, and he and Hone-Onna disappeared.

The next day Reina and the Shibata family continued to help some more on Takashi's farm. Takashi and Yuko were surprised to see their crops started to look a bit better than normal, but they were happy. Reina started giving them advice on what the best plant food and pesticide is best of their crops. (She knows this from her own experience) So far Ryousuke hadn't visited the farm again yet; this was because Wanyuudou was keeping him occupied, by disguising himself as a friend.

A bit later on Yuko had a chat alone with Reina. "Reina-san I've wanted to thank you," said Yuko "I heard you managed to talk my dad into sobering up when he was still drinking due to my mum's death". "It is true I managed to talk some sense into him," said Reina "but it was mostly your mother who managed to bring him to his senses by hitting him and scolding him good in his dreams". "Yes my dad told me about that; it still surprises me to this day that she visited dad in his dreams," said Reina "I hope she will visit me in my dreams one day". "I'm sure she will Yuko-chan," said Reina "but let me give you some advice. Yuko-chan, next time your dad starts drinking again, you must get him some help right away. I do understand your dad's feelings from losing your mum. But nothing good comes if he continues to drink away his sorrows and stress. And it won't bring you any good either especially if he dies from alcohol abuse. So next time, get him help right away, with no hesitation whatsoever". Yuko understood; she didn't want her dad to wallow himself in alcohol again, especially since he only just recovered from his last drinking stage. Reina was desperate to help Yuko and her dad now; it was clearly unfair about what happened in episode 21 in the anime.

That night Wanyuudou met up with Reina and the others. "What did you get?" asked Reina. Wanyuudou presented a tape recorder. "I managed to get that Ryousuke bastard to reveal everything of what he planned to do to the Murai family" said Wanyuudou. Reina played the tape recorder; it played Ryousuke's voice blurting out his plans of ruining Takashi's farm by giving him fake pesticide mixed with sugar and water, and stealing the farm from him by tricking him into signing a contract which would switch ownership of the farmland to Ryousuke. 'This is the same plan he did to the farm in the anime' thought Reina, crossly. "I must show this to Hajime at once," said Reina "he's not going to like this". Her companions agreed.

Reina went into Takashi's house and woke up Hajime from his sleep at once. "Sorry to wake you at this hour Hajime but you have to listen to this, it's info I managed to gather up about what Mr Sekine is up to" said Reina. She played the tape recorder and Hajime listened to every word of Ryousuke's wicked plans. He was furious. "You up to making a newspaper article about this man?" asked Reina. "I am" answered Hajime. He was not going to let Mr Sekine proceed with his horrible plans and ruin his friend's farm.

A few days later, Ryousuke Sekine got the nastiest surprise of his life. Thanks to Hajime making a news article about Ryousuke's plans, the townsfolk now knew about Ryousuke's wicked nature. They also learnt what Ryousuke planned to do to the Murai family. Ryousuke couldn't believe that all of his secret plans had been blurted out to the public. He tried to defend himself by trying to tell everyone it was a misunderstanding, but it was no use. In fact everyone knew how bad the Sekine family had been before, and this really bought out the bad nature of the Sekine family. Things got worse for Ryousuke because the mayor of the town had Ryousuke stripped off his home and arrested him for attempted theft. So instead of the Murai family losing their farm, it was Ryousuke losing his farm. Of course Ryousuke was angry while being arrested but there was nothing he could do now. It was something he defiantly deserved.

After Ryousuke got arrested Takashi spoke to Hajime and Reina again. "I can't believe Mr Sekine really tried to steal my farm all because of his rivalry towards my uncle" said Takashi. Hajime and Reina had revealed everything about Tadashi's uncle and Ryousuke by now. "This is why I told you before to learn about farming and shaping yourself up before you inherited the farm Takashi," said Reina "you would have ended up as an easy target to Mr Sekine and lost everything because of him". Takashi sighed; he really understood everything now. Hajime comforted Tadashi to make him feel better. "Reina thank you for helping Takashi, like you helped me" said Hajime. It was clear that Hajime and Takashi were indeed friends. "Now Takashi, I hope you've learnt your lesson big time from all of this," said Reina, firmly, "my last piece of advice to you is this. You continue staying strong for Yuko, and that means no more drinking, and you continue listening to your real friend's advice. You also listen to Yuko when she reasons with you and warns you about something; she is more trust worthy than any strangers put together. Remember this; your wife is watching over you and Yuko and she might slap more sense into you in your dreams again". Takashi flinched; he didn't fancy being slapped hard by his wife again in his dreams. "I promise to be strong from now on, especially for Yuko's sake" Takashi vowed. Reina and Hajime were glad to hear that.

Later that night Hajime sat outside, with Reina keeping him company. "Is something on your mind Hajime?" asked Reina. "Well yes," answered Hajime "the truth is I can't believe I had to use my journalism skill to take down another bad person". He remembered when he used his journalism to take down his ex-boss Tadashi to help Masaya. "Would you rather have Mr Sekine succeed on stealing Takashi's farm?" asked Reina. "No of course not" answered Hajime. "Where there you are;" said Reina "you did the right thing to help Takashi like you did for Masaya. To tell you the truth Hajime a girl I know suffered big time because of what a bad neighbour did to her and her father". Reina told Hajime a story about a girl name Touko who lost her father and home because of a neighbour who pretended to be nice but wasn't, by using tricks to ruin Touko's father's farm with fake pesticide and such, and then the neighbour tricked the father by killing himself with alcohol abuse and stealing the rights to the farm land by using trickery to make the father sign a contract. (This of course is Yuko's story from episode 21) Hajime was shocked by that story. "So you see Hajime if we didn't make our move Yuko would have suffered like Touko did" said Reina. "What happened to Touko after that?" asked Hajime. "After losing the farm she lived at an orphanage for a while, and after that she got revenge big time by killing the neighbour for what he did, and she never regretted her actions because she really couldn't forgive that nasty neighbour for what he did" said Reina. Hajime couldn't believe it; like the anime he didn't like people getting the idea of revenge by murdering the people who made them suffer. Reina knew this and decided to give him a talk about it to make Hajime understand. "Of course it wasn't right for Touko to do that, but it was still her right to do it;" said Reina "just like how it's a human's nature to do bad things, it's also a human's nature to get revenge on the one who did something bad to them to make them suffer. Seriously Hajime, surely you've heard these sorts of stories before? Bad people go around doing evil deeds due to selfish, crazy, wicked reasons or to their own amusement. Them sometimes their victims get revenge because they wish to punish that bad person themselves, due to not getting much or any justice at all. True it may not be right but as you probably know Hajime, people don't always get justice in this world. The only real justice you get here on this planet is when bad people die and go to hell, but people get their revenge by killing the ones who made them suffer because they can't wait that long for that person to die themselves. They intend to achieve justice themselves. Especially those who lost a precious person like a friend or family member because of an evil person; to them they don't feel they will ever move on nor feel at peace until they get rid of that person. That's what happened to Touko; she felt she couldn't move on or feel at peace until after she got rid of him, which is why she murdered him to get justice herself. I know this doesn't sound nice Hajime, but this is how humans have been like ever since time started. And there's nothing anybody can do to change it; it's impossible to stop people to get revenge, just like it's impossible to stop people from doing evil deeds. That's the truth". Again Hajime didn't like listening to that, but again he felt that Reina was right. "One more thing Hajime," said Reina "my advice is if you spot or know something who wishes to get revenge, don't get in their way or try to stop them. Not minding your own business will not only get you into trouble, but it could also get you killed. I've heard of people nearly getting killed from not minding their own business". Reina only made this bit up to scare Hajime a bit and to make him understand. Hajime stayed silent; he really felt like he couldn't argue with Reina's words at all.

The next day Reina bid farewell to the Murai family and Shibata family. The Shibata family were going to stay a few more days and Reina really needed to leave to start to get ready to help someone else. Hajime insisted of driving Reina to the train station, but Reina told him she was okay walking to the bus stop for the train station. "I really can't thank you enough for your help Reina" said Takashi. "It was my pleasure Takashi," said Reina "but don't forget what I told you before. Same for you Yuko-chan". "I won't forget" replied Yuko. With the last words of goodbyes, Reina left the farm and the two families waved to Reina till she was out of sight.

Reina met up with her companions at the bottom of the hill. "Great work you did Reina-san" said Hone-Onna. "You certainly taught that Takashi guy a lesson" said Ren. "Thanks to my warnings and what happened with that Sekine guy, he really has learnt his lesson and I have warned Yuko to keep him straight by getting him help right away if he goes back to drinking again" said Reina. "I liked how you gave Hajime a lecture about how humans are Reina-san" said Wanyuudou. "Well Hajime is the type of man who doesn't like it when people let bad emotions, especially hate, get the better of them," said Reina "and he also doesn't like the idea of getting revenge by hurting people back. That's why I had to lecture him about it; he needed to understand that when that happens there's nothing you can do about it". The others agreed with that. "It's time we left now; we need to get going on our next quest" said Reina. Wanyuudou transformed into his carriage form and Reina and her companions left the area.

So Reina saved Takashi's life and farm, while that horrible neighbour Ryousuke lost his farm completely and was to be jailed for a long time.

I hope you like how my character saved Yuko, her dad and their farm. I also hoped you liked how I had Reina lecture Hajime; you have to admit with how he didn't quite get how the hate of human nature worked well I thought he needed a talk about that. I did think about having Reina talk to Tsugumi about it, but I thought wait till she's a teenager or adult. Seven year olds are too young to understand.
