"Spinner and Slobster had their share in causing trouble for their nemesis the Street Sharks and the people that aided the four mutated humans back in Fission City. However, they'd never been involved in warfare such as what they were seeing as of now in Gotham City. Buildings were caught in flames, monsters from the stars were coming down and killing everything in their way, and all the while were people doing whatever means to survive the unknown invasion that was happening. Kite Man on the other hand had experienced being in this predicament surviving it with several scars left on him. Golden Glider had trouble coping with this destruction due to the Flash preventing disasters such as the one she was in since the Rogues would take any valuables and leave town before they were caught in the crossfire. Having no way of getting out of the city and being blocked off by Triceratons and Para-Demons, the best place they could fortify themselves was at Noonan's bar which had the means of protecting itself from attacks such as the one that was happening as of now."

Gotham City-Morning

The last few days since Luthor used his device had been a nightmare for the residents of the city for bringing two extraterrestrial armies that were destroying Gotham all to destroy each other. At the center of it was Noonan's Bar which had become a haven for anyone who needed shelter and a place to drink so they'd forget about the war that was happening outside. Inside were Slobster and Bane who had become the enforcers who'd keep out the Triceratons and Para-Demons who would notice them and attempt to attack them. Spinner was tasked with keeping the barricades up and looting the killed creatures that Bane and Slobster had taken care of, all in the while were Kite-Man and Golden Glider serving drinks and meals to the injured and to anyone that needed to get drunk.

"A toast! To the end of the bloody world and the bastards that help make it, drinks are on me!"

Six-Pack announced in a drunkard tone as he attempted to drink his pint before spilling the beverage on himself and falling on the table. It startled the people who came in frightened from surviving the hellscape that was happening outside, Lisa groaned at the masked man and continued to provide service to the people.

"While we're not accepting money at this time since it's raining down aliens and hellfire, we wouldn't mind getting referenced online and on social media. It helps keep this place up and standing for the next invasion that might happen again."

She announced to the people about getting the establishment noticed since this was the perfect moment to get the bar's attention and publicity when things cooled down. Everyone was doing their part in keeping beverages served while in the backroom was Kite Man getting a lesson from Professor Honeycutt about why there were dinosaurs in military clothing and shooting at innocent people.

"The creatures that you have been avoiding are called the Triceratons. They'd hunted me across the stars two years ago before I met your ex-girlfriend Poison Ivy and her companions, they assisted me in locating several reptilian humanoids who I had befriended after promising to return them to Earth. It took before we uncovered that their leader was a hated enemy of theirs, they had dubbed this world as compensation for the loss of their leader."

The Fugitoid explained that Harley and Ivy had incidentally caused an alien race to get revenge on Earth for uncovering their leader and deciding to take their anger out on the planet. That didn't surprise Charles since he knew that the women had a knack for messing with people, this took it to another level since they wouldn't know they'd bring an alien invasion here. Having heard that and deciding to keep positive, Kite Man walked over to one of the boxes that had beer and brought it out to the counter table. The Fugitoid was confused about the human's response to what was outside as he followed Kite Man inside to see how the villain would handle the realization that Poison Ivy brought war to the Earth.

"While I would call her to see if everything is alright. My phone broke when a Para-Demon shot at it on the first day. The best I can do at the moment is keep the bar standing and hope things turn out well."

He offered the Fugitoid with doubt of things turning out well and continued with helping out people who came here to stay out of harm's way. The only ones to not be freaked out were the regulars such as Fables, Noonan, and Six-Pack who was right now passed out drunk on the ground and muttering in his sleep.

"If only I had my body back, I'd take on both the Para-Demons and these Jurassic Assholes. Maybe, I'll be lucky if the destruction can help make the search easier."

Fables spoke out at how powerful she was with her book in hand and the body that had once dominated the city long ago before Harley knocked her block off when she decided to work with Joker. Walking over to the counter was Spinner who heard from the woman about being just as destructive as what was happening outside with the sounds of destruction and people screaming going on.

"That talk reminds me of a human that had the same idea about getting what's his. Want to know what happened to him? He got too cocky and ended up forgotten, seems like you're heading for that road. And I mean that, literally."

The Swordfish creature responded to Fable's comment on being powerful as the woman responded by shifting her head toward one of the beverages on the counter and causing it to fall on Spinner's feet. Looking back at the dismembered head for spilling the drink on him, Spinner grabbed the jar and walked over to the fridge where he placed her inside and closed the door. Taking a moment to enjoy doing that, the bar heard an explosion happening outside as Slobster and Bane rushed inside with another group of survivors who avoided getting killed.

"We got good news and bad news. The good news, is the invaders are destroying half of the neighborhood's bars making ours the only one to go to."

Slobster told Kite Man and Golden Glider that their establishment would be the only one standing after things settle down and the heroes would end the invasion that was terrorizing Gotham. While the news seemed positive for them, the pair wanted to know about the bad news since there wasn't anything that could make things worse since there was a war raging outside.

"Bad news? Tanks are coming our way right now, and they are not from the military."

Bane informed them as the gang noticed across from the shelves the bottles and items falling off at the weight of the tanks that Bane was talking about. Having the feeling of wanting to hide away until the tanks went away, Charles needed to show that he was a bar owner who wouldn't back down from anyone who'd intimidate him. Mustering his courage and walking outside to see what tanks Bane was talking about, Kite Man looked at what appeared to be mechanical dragons with treads and cannons on both sides. There were only three while the one in front had someone standing on top of the head to show his leadership of the Para-Demons that he was leading. It was an unusual attire that the leader was wearing as it appeared to be Shakespearean clothing due to the hat and cape he was wearing, but all the while enjoying the killing that the demons were doing.

"I am Kanto. Chief assassin of Darkseid's elite warriors, this land is now the property of Apokiliops. Step out to embrace your loyalty to the Great one, or be killed to be a message to his future followers."

He introduced himself to the people hiding in their cars and anywhere that wouldn't be seen by a Para-Demon. Kite Man looked over at the people cowering in fear as well as the demons looming over the bar due to the scent of humans inside seeking shelter. Deciding to do something that would be considered an 'idiot's gambit'. The owner of the bar walked over and stood in front of the tank where he got the chief assassin's attention as well as the demons that screeched at the human for standing in front of the dragon tank.

"Hi! Just wanted to greet you since I can tell that you're new to Gotham City. But let me say welcome and if want to continue the shouting and shooting, maybe you can move back and take the next street. It's just that my friends and I just purchased this bar and we need to keep it in good condition since it's open for everyone. Maybe, yourself since you and your demons seem thirsty."

Kite Man greeted Kanto and the Para-Demons as he unwittingly gave the survivors who were hiding out the time to run toward the bar that he was talking about. Kanto gave him a questionable look at what Kite Man was offering him and aimed his scepter at one of the survivors who was rushing over to the door. Firing a shot of energy toward the frightened man, Kanto exploded the man into a red paste where the people inside screamed in fear at the cold-blooded side of the assassin.

"Quite the offer you have given me and my troops. But they aren't the type to indulge themselves in alcoholic beverages, they prefer the blood of Darkseid's enemies. Which you have declared for standing in my way."

Kanto declared him as he ordered a demon to kill the green-suited man on call command where Kite Man saw the soldier swooping down to take him out with one claw. Before it had the chance to take his head off, a golden ribbon rushed toward the Para-Demon which caused it to explode just like how Kanto killed the frightened human. Covered in green blood and trying to see who saved him in seconds, Charles looked over to see Golden Glider along with Spinner, Slobster, and Bane standing together appearing armed and ready to look after him for standing up against one of Darkseid's top assassins.

"Just like I said several weeks ago. 'Anyone talks shit about my man'? I'll fuck them up. And I'm not alone to do that now, am I boys?"

Lisa asked the three who seemed ready to help Kite Man out in this predicament as Kanto rolled his eyes at the annoyance and ordered the Para-Demons to kill them all. Bane being the first to take them head-on, the masked man injected himself with venom which increased his size and strength as he was able to take down the demons from laying a scratch on him. Spinner and Slobster had the flight equipment that Charles had gifted them as they took up into the air to face the creatures and prevent them from attacking the bar. Kite Man was surprised by his friends coming in to save him much like Lisa who was exploding Para-Demons left to right with her golden ribbons, he stood there unable to think of anything he could do as he looked upward seeing Kanto preparing to fire another shot at Golden Glider.

"Oh no you don't!"

He announced as Kite Man took off swiftly and avoided the Para-Demons that were being killed by Spinner and Slobster who was lucky enough to take them on. Continuing to fly directly at Kanto, the chief assassin saw the human coming and was able to hit him in the face with his scepter. It sent Charles flying onto one of the rooftops and decided to entertain himself by killing Kite Man with his hands Charles saw the chief assassin walking over in an intimidating manner so he'd enjoy his kill.

"I entertain myself when Darkseid invades a world, get myself a kill with my tanks and demons. But one on one? I relish it."

Kanto told Kite Man as he pulled out two daggers from his belt and rushed toward Charles to end him with a single thrust. Unfortunately, the human was able to avoid the assassin's attack which confused Kanto since it was impossible for anyone to avoid his blades. Becoming frustrated with this annoyance, he proceeded to take Kite Man's life to only miss every thrust due to Charle's constant movement and luck he managed to get at the moment.

"Thank ten years of jazz dancing and boogie nights for these moves. Because I'm untouchable!"

Kite Man shouted in excitement before losing his luck and tripped on the floor for Kanto to get the edge over him. He was stopped by a mail bin that sent him toward the wall which came from Spinner who was covered in Para-Demon blood and had scratches on him from the fighting. Helping Charles get on his feet, the others came up to the rooftop where they saw Kanto dusting himself and looking at the five defiant Earthlings standing up against him.

"Admirable, but all in all for naught. Despite the Triceraton's incursion who are making a tamper in Darkseid's dominance, Earth will suffer all the same. With your lives being given to him."

Kanto informed them where he had his dragon tank aim the cannon from behind the gang and prepared to fire upon them. Before they could react and avoid being shot at, they all heard the sky rumbling and the clouds above them starting to disburse and revert to normal. Confused at what was happening, they all saw the sun peering from the clouds to shine over everyone and blinding the Para-Demons due to how sensitive their eyes were. Growling at the sudden luck they had gotten; Kanto was about to fire on the group anyway to satisfy his bloodlust and for being humiliated by them. But just like the sun coming out to shine upon Gotham City, they all heard something else that seemed unpredictable to that it being impossible.

"Is that purring?"

Slobster asked as they heard screaming coming from around the corner where the gang ran by the ledge and saw several Triceraton troopers running away from a creature that was chasing them. It was a large purple cat with red eyes attacking the aliens and tossing the tanks left to right as if they were toys. Kanto looked at the feline and groaned at the destruction he was causing as well as realized what the cat was.

"Chesire. Where the hell is your damn emotional support animal at? Malice!"

He shouted in frustration as Kanto knew where her owner was they then heard the sound of footsteps coming from behind the assassin and looked at a young woman with blonde hair with purple-dyed hair. Holding a purple bag and typing on her phone due to how uninterested she was in the fighting, the girl that Kanto called out at him looked over to the people that he was fighting at, and half of the Para-Demons that had been killed by them.

"This is sad Kanto. Half of Darkseid's elite have lost their demons to cooler people, but you let these people kill them? This will affect your ranking. Oh, and you're being called back to Apokolips after that red-caped guy and his friends got their powers back."

Malice informed Kanto about how this humiliation would be heard back on Apokolios and the Man of Steel getting his powers back since the sun was visible again. The chief assassin wanted to argue with her about this and kill the Earthlings but was stopped by Chesire who climbed up from behind the others and growled toward Kanto while following the command of Darkseid. Unable to say anything he unwillingly summons a boom tube and retreats to Apokolios leaving Malice and Chesire here to deal with the Earthlings.

"Thank you! If you hadn't come in, I'd think we might been blown to pieces. I guess you might want something in return for saving our backsides, yes?"

Kite Man asked the young woman about an reward for coming to their rescue as Malice whistled toward her feline companion as the large purple cat shrinks down to size to a cute form as it leaps into Malice's bag. Continuing to text on her phone, she finishes to look at the human and his companions who were cautious of what she'd desired.

"A job. As you can see, my god daddy Darkseid has been taking his anger out on half of the galaxy that he's caught off my spending. So, I need a job."

She told Kite Man about what she wanted for this act which left him to nod at having her as a bartender. Golden Glider on the other hand didn't seem sure about having this stranger come in and work for them since she is intentionally one of Darkseid's soldiers. While it was a risky idea, Lisa had no choice but let Charles hire her to see if it would benefit them in case, they'd have to face another world ending threat that would try and kill them.

Night Time-Noonan's Bar

News had already started to spread across the city that the hero community that depended on the sun's power were able to get back to work and handle the remaining Para-Demons and Triceratons that were roaming around Gotham. The damage control was going underway with people being rescued and plans for rebuilding, all in the while was Kite Man's bar still standing and remain as it was before the invasion had started. The owner was right now by himself with only Golden Glider and Fugitoid to keep him company since he was able to bring up how the attack ended today.

"From what I've been able to bring up from the internet, the attacks ended after a small band of masked people being led by Harley Quinn raided Luthor's tower to deactivate the Earth Savor."

The professor informed them as he was able to show them a monitor from his arm of the news showing the clown girl looking over an injured mutant warthog and her friends that assisted her being taken to the hospital for the fight they've been in. It was a rare sight in seeing Harley and Ivy looking upset and distress when it came to serious moments, this had to be one of them to see one of his old friends being hurt in the line of fire.

"They'll bounce back from it. They always do, no matter what situation they end up in."

Kite Man told the two about how they could get back on their feet from any type of situation that seemed terrible and horrid. Lisa could tell that he cared for Ivy, despite them breaking up during the wedding and hopping for the best in whatever predicament they were in. Walking over to Charles, she gave him a hug since the woman could tell that he felt concern for their safety since he wasn't there to check up on them.

"I'm sure they will, babe. For right now, we should focus on ourselves since we're getting noticed online after the people helped during the invasion. Right, Honeycutt?"

Lisa reminded him about the business they would be handling after reading the blogs about how Noonan saved their lives and offered them a good time. The couple looked over at Fugitoid as he was able to bring up the reviews, they were getting that despite it not being a high-class establishment, it was the only place that took them in where everywhere else that had been destroyed or wouldn't let them in.

"Well then, I suggest we all get some sleep for tomorrow then. It's going be a big at Noonan's with the new customers will be getting, as well as the new employees who'll be helping us."

He announced to Lisa and Fugitoid about needing to be ready for a new day at the bar since they would be full of customers that would ask them about how they managed to keep the place standing during the attacks. Acknowledging the advice and decided to put himself at rest, Honeycutt was the first to head upstairs to one of the available rooms that he was able to occupy in. Golden Glider gave Kite Man a small kiss of encouragement and for keeping the place standing for so long before heading upstairs to their new room that the pair were sharing. Charles couldn't help but smile at the kiss since he didn't expect to get a girlfriend already, but he still enjoyed it all the same since he could share this new life with someone that isn't like the villains in Gotham.

"Hell yeah."

Talking to himself at the luck he had gotten himself as he decided to do a quick inventory in the backroom to make sure everything was ready for tomorrow morning. Making sure that there were drinks and snacks available for the customers, he saw the briefcase that Luthor left for him as he'd forgotten to put it in a safe place before the invasion started. Looking over at the freezer, he decided to place it in there until he could afford a better place to hide it in since it seemed important to Lex if he wanted it kept hidden. Just as he continued to check out the inventory, he heard the doors open to look at the counter table seeing June Moon as well as one of the newest additions to Ivy's team dubbed the Natural Disasters.

"I wonder what their doing here this late at night."

Asking himself as he decided to greet the two women as the newest owner of the bar and see if they wanted to visit the bar that helped save numerous lives during the invasion. Not knowing the briefcase that he'd placed in the freezer was glowing with an unusual yellow light, indicating that the object incased in the briefcase had an unknown power that Luthor hadn't mastered. It continued to faintly glow as the power waited until it could unveil its power to the world, as well as to anyone who would decide to use it.

"The last part takes after Harley's mission in taking out Luthor and Mozar on the Moon. The rest of the story will now be up to date and about Kite Man as well as his friends. Comments are available to be answered, until then. See ya soon!"
