Chapter 1: Evil Rises Again
Darkness, that is the first thing you see when you're born. Until you finally see the light. But despite the light, you are still surrounded by a world of darkness. Evil surrounds those who embrace evil, no matter how hard we try to run from it. Or hide a past that we want to forget. It's as easy to hear as a gunshot going off.
*BLAM!*
A gasp could be heard as a young man jolted up from his sleep, he panted heavily as his body was covered in sweat. He was experiencing a dream that has haunted him since childhood. He groaned in exhaustion as he covered his face from what he saw in his dream. "Ugh… that dream again…?" He sighed as he rubbed his eyes. "I thought I'd be used to it by now." He said as he climbed out of bed and sighed. He walked to the kitchen and grabbed a glass and filled it up with water. Once it was full, he sipped the water and sighed a bit. "Not even 8am, and already I'm up late." He muttered as he rubbed his eyes.
Given how intense the nightmare was, he sighed as he walked to his computer and turned it on. Doing some writing would help him calm down, take his mind off what he experienced. As he typed away on the digital page, he noticed that he got an email. He moved his mouse to the email and opened it to read it. Much to his surprise, it was from his old friend, Jason Jenkins. He hadn't heard from him since Spring Break in High School, he was curious to why he was contacting him now after so long and read the message.
"Hey Keith, I know it's been a while since we've seen each other when Spring Break started. But I want you to know that me and Tann are coming back to New York tomorrow. We're even bringing in some new friends. Lua, and my brother. I can't mention his name, because I want it to be a surprise. I hope to see you soon, Keith. We'll be arriving by seaplane, so meet us at the harbor. Your friend and training partner, Jason Jenkins."
Keith looked at the message and smiled that his old high school friend was coming back from god knows how long, it would be cool to see him. So he responded back. "Thanks for the heads up Jason. I just got your message, and I'm looking forward to when you arrive. Can't wait to meet Lua and your brother. Which is a surprise that you never mentioned him. See you when you get here." He finished the message and sent it. "This will be a great day afterall." He commented as he went back to his story to finish it up.
But unbeknownst to him, something was opening behind him as it was revealed to be a portal. Stepping through it was a trio of imps, Blitz, Moxxie and Millie. Along with them was a beautiful Hellhound named Loona, she saw Keith with his eyes glued to the screen of his computer. "Guess we found him wide awake." She whispered.
"Good." Blitz chuckled darkly as he pulled out a knife. "This'll be more interesting." He whispered.
"Sir, keep it down, he'll hear you." Moxxie tried to shush him.
"Mox, chill out. I got this." Blitz said as he attempted to kill Keith. Sensing his malicious intent, Keith glanced back and avoided his blade as it stabbed his desk and he elbowed him in the face. "OW! What the fuck?!" Blitz cried out as he hit the ground, surprising the rest of the group.
Keith stepped back as he was in nothing but his boxers, holding up his fists as he stood ready. "Who the fuck are you guys?!" He asked them.
"We're your worst fucking nightmare, bitch!" Blitz whipped out his gun and attempted to shoot him. But Keith grabbed his wrist and redirected his shot as the bullet punched a hole in the wall as he landed a palm strike against Blitz's jaw and kicked him hard in the stomach, causing him to groan as he was sent flying across the room.
A yell came from Millie as she took her axe and went to chop him like a log. Keith cartwheeled away from it as he got his pants on along with his shirt and jacket, Moxxie whipped out a semi-auto handgun and shot at him. Keith ducked behind his bed and avoided his shots, he turned over only to see Loona standing over him. "Hold still, and I'll make this quick!" She yelled as she attempted to pierce her claws into his chest.
Keith quickly kicked against the drawer at his feet and slid out from under her as Loona's claws pierced into the floor. He got up and roundhouse kicked her in the face, knocking her down to the floor as she yelped from it. "Jason, you better be at that harbor right now." He muttered as he jumped through the window and slid down the ladder on the fire escape. Once he reached street level, he took off running to get away from them.
Loona groaned as she rubbed her head, and Blitz rushed to her side. "Loonie! You okay sweetie?" He asked her.
A growl came from Loona as she opened her eyes in anger. "Ohhh, that motherfucker is DEAD!" She burst through the window and ran after him.
"Wait, Loonie! Don't forget your… disguise..." Blitz was too late as he watched her chase after him.
"Should we go after them?" Moxxie asked him.
"Nah, that guy will be dead before we get there. She can handle it." Blitz declared.
Meanwhile, Millie was looking at the story he was writing. "Hey guys, check it out! Looks like he was writing a novel. Let's see…" She found a paragraph. "And as his fingers caressed her ebony skin… she can feel her-"
"MILLIE!" Moxxie exclaimed as his face turned bright red.
"What? It's actually really good! It's kind of making me all hot and bothered right now. This story might even give you some tips, Moxxie~." She said to him with a coy smile.
Her husband was about to argue, but he paused as he looked at the story for a bit. "Well, maybe… I mean, you're not wrong." He muttered as Blitz looked at the story.
"So this guy writes smut huh? Well, too bad he won't be able to finish it. No skin off my dick." He chuckled.
Meanwhile, Keith ran down the sidewalk as he tried to escape his assassins. "Okay, what the fuck was that about?" He asked himself, only to shake his head. "Nevermind that now, I need to get to the harbor, hope Jason and his friends are there. Hopefully they can-"
"YOU!" Yelled a familiar voice as Keith's eyes widened.
"Oh no, don't tell me that's…" He glanced back and saw Loona chasing after him.
"GET BACK HERE YA LITTLE BITCH! I'M GONNA FLOSS MY TEETH WITH YOUR FUCKING SPINE!" She threatened him with her eyes blazing.
He yelped in fear as he ran from her. "Oh shit! She's going Sonic Speed Runner! Look, if it's about me kicking you in the face, you kinda had it coming. You tried to kill me, but I'm willing to forgive you if you forgive me. How does that sound?" He asked as he ran from her.
"Oh sure, I forgive you." She said as she continued to chase him. "In fact, I'm gonna cut you some slack and beat your ass for 50 hrs instead of 500!" She said as Keith yelped and ran for his life. He ran as fast as he could and ran towards a traffic signal, it turned red as he vaulted across cars that almost drove off. He looked back as he saw Loona leap effortlessly across the cars and continued to pursue him. He was in complete panic as he ran for the harbor.
Meanwhile, Jason and his friends had just landed the seaplane at the docks as they got out. Jason's eyes glowed blue as he looked at the city. "It's good to be home after so long." He said as he breathed the city air.
"I'm still upset that they arrested me last time." Lua declared as she stepped out of the plane.
"I know your first trip here wasn't pleasant, Lua. But once you meet Keith, you might get a different view of things." Jason assured her as he held her hand.
"Speaking of ol' Keith. He replied to your message, and he's looking forward to seeing us. And the big guy." Tann informed them as Jason's eyes glowed blue.
He chuckled a bit as he looked towards Tann. "Kong feels the same way, but there's no telling how he'll react." He told them.
"JASON!" Keith called out in the distance as Jason looked towards his direction, seeing him run towards them. "Jason!" He rushed up to him and the group, panting heavily as he was exhausted.
"Whoa, whoa, hey! Keith, where's the fire?" Jason asked him.
Trying to catch his breath, Keith showed his face and how much sweat he was covered with. "Ohh, you know… city traffic." He commented with a chuckle, till a loud stomp was heard as he turned around and saw Loona, growling at him angrily as he panicked. "And a very pissed off anthro wolf." He pointed out.
"Ohh shit!" Tann cried out.
Lua's eyes widened upon seeing her. "What manner of creature is that?!" She asked.
"I don't know, but clearly Keith did something to piss her off." Jason gave Keith a disapproving look.
"Me?! She tried to kill me!" He complained.
"And I'm gonna enjoy ripping you apart, pussy." Loona said as she walked towards him.
Upon hearing her threat, Tann grabbed Jason by his shoulder. "Jase… now would be a good time to let the big guy out." He suggested.
"Way ahead of you, Tann." Jason reached up to the cyberlink on his ear and pressed a button. "Reverse Merger Sequence, Engage!" He activated the cyberlink as a bright light shined from him, causing Loona to flinch as she shielded her eyes and backed away.
"AGH! What the FUCK?!" She backed up as a large form appeared before her, taking the appearance of a giant ape, Kong. He saw Loona and unleashed a strong powerful roar towards her as he beat his chest. "Holy shit…" She panicked.
Even Keith was surprised upon seeing it as he looked towards Jason. "Explanation please?" He requested.
"Oh, right… Keith, this is my brother, Kong." He introduced him to the giant ape.
Much to Keith's shock as he looked between Kong and Jason. "That's your brother?!" He asked him.
"Yeah, but don't worry Keith. He's cool… just not towards the werewolf girl." Tann pointed towards Loona.
A chuckle came from Loona as she looked towards Keith. "You think your oversized monkey is gonna save you?" She asked him.
"Technically, he's an ape, but I'm not gonna get into that. Why are you trying to kill me?!" Keith demanded an answer from her.
"Because someone in Hell put a hit on you, and they want you down there for god knows what reason." She informed him as she held up her hands. "I don't make the rules, I'm supposed to be behind a desk at this point." She told him as she saw Kong's fist slam in front of her.
He growled at her as he sized her up, showing he had more strength and power against her. "I think the big guy has other plans there, sweetheart. So maybe you should just back off before Kong here turns you into ground turkey." Tann warned her.
"HAH! After the stunt he pulled? I ain't going anywhere!" She refused to leave, showing just how stubborn she was.
Meanwhile Jason looked towards Keith with a smirk. "I knew you had a reputation as a heart breaker, Keith. But I never took you for someone to go for the goth crowd." He joked.
"It's nothing like that, Jason." He replied to him.
"Whatever reason someone in Hell wants you dead, there has to be a reasonable explanation for it." Lua suggested as she looked towards Loona. "Who hired you to assassinate him?" She asked her.
"Like I'll tell you, jungle girl." Loona said defiantly, Lua narrowed her eyes at the hellhound as she walked towards her. "Oh, what? Are you looking to die yourself? I have no problem-" Before Loona could continue, Lua grabbed her by her wrist and threw her down to the ground, pulling her arm back as Loona yelped in pain from him. "AHH! FUCK! Let go of me!" She demanded.
"Who hired you?!" Lua demanded as she applied more pressure to her arm.
Loona felt it as she groaned in pain from it. "Erick Turnbul!" She informed them as Keith's eyes widened.
"Erick? He's in Hell? But… why would he put a hit on Keith?" Jason asked him, surprised.
"Yeah, I mean weren't you two best buds?" Tann asked him.
Keith let out a sigh as he turned to them. "You guys have been gone a long time. A year ago, Erick and I had a falling out. He was stealing my published stories, and making money. When I found out, I demanded he hand over the cash that was rightfully mine, he refused and tried to run." He explained.
"But he didn't get far, did he?" Tann asked him.
"A car hit him as he ran. He died from the impact." Keith informed him.
"And apparently he blames you for something you didn't cause." Lua theorized.
"What?!" Loona asked them as they looked at her. "He said that you shoved him in front of the car, because you have anger issues. Not to mention, this evening's events were a clear indication that you aren't exactly what you say you are." She told him.
"Ever heard of self-defense in Hell?" He asked her.
"Yeah, chill girl. Whatever Erick said that Keith did, he's not like that." Tann assured her.
"And why should I believe you?" Loona asked the hipster, only to see Kong lean down and growl at her. Showing that he wasn't going to let her touch him. "Okay, you made your point." She commented as a portal opened behind her as she looked back.
"Loonie, what is taking so long? We gotta get back to Hell soon, aaaaand-" Blitz looked up and saw Kong as his eyes widened in shock. "HOLY SHIT FUCK!" He exclaimed as he whipped out his pistol and shot at him.
The bullet merely bounced off of Kong as he roared out and pounded his fists against the ground, making the imps fall down to the ground. "Sir, that was probably the worst idea you pulled." Moxxie told him.
"Uh, gee, ya think?!" Blitz asked as Kong approached them, growling at them.
"Whoa, easy Kong! I get they upset you, but this is all just a big misunderstanding. Just relax, bro." Jason pleaded as Kong grunted angrily and snorted at the imps and pulled away from them.
The three imps sighed in relief as Blitz got up and dusted himself off. "Alright, pal. What exactly did you mean by misunderstanding? This piece of shit…" He points towards Keith. "Caused the death of my latest client, and he wants this fucker dead. He paid in advance, and I spent it all on this." He held out a new pony figurine. "So he's gotta go!" He declared.
"I beg to differ." Lua said as she released Loona. "Keith from what Jason told us is a good person, that he would never hurt anyone unless it was out of self-defense." She informed them.
"To be fair, sir. He was only defending himself." Moxxie said to Blitz.
"Who fucking cares Mox?!" Blitz yelled and pointed at Lua. "I don't care what you say Jungle Lady! Furthermore, you laid your filthy hands on my daughter, and now you're gonna pay for it, bitch!" He threatened her, only to get grabbed by his tail by Kong. He screamed as he got lifted up and hung upside down. "LET ME GO YA OVERGROWN MONKEY!" He yelled as he thrashed around.
Seeing Kong hold up Blitz, Loona sighed as she walked to Moxxie and Millie. "Forget it guys, this kill isn't worth it. Besides, Keith is the victim in this, not Erick." She informed them.
"Oh come on, Loonie! You're really gonna believe them over-" Before Blitz could continue, Kong growled at him fiercely, causing him to chuckle nervously as he held his hands up. "Okay, okay. Easy big fella…" He tried to weasel his way out.
"I wouldn't bother trying, small fry. Kong here doesn't like little demons who mess with his pals." Tann informed him.
The titanic ape growled at the imp as he held him by his tail, meanwhile Moxxie stepped up to speak. "I apologize on Blitz's behalf. But we were certain that Keith was the bad guy here. No offense." He said to him, hoping no offense was made.
"None taken." He replied.
"Also, you made a pretty interesting novel." Millie complimented his work.
"YOU READ IT?!" Keith asked in shock.
"Oooh. It wasn't meant to be read yet, huh?" She asked nervously.
A groan came out of Keith as he rubbed his face. "Look, I'll let it slide, only if you promise never to speak of it to anyone, and-" Before Keith could continue, he noticed something on Loona that made him curious. "A red laser pointer…? But why would it be aiming at her…? Wait…" He thought as his eyes widened. "Laser sight…" He muttered.
"What…?" Loona asked as she looked at him.
"GET DOWN!" He quickly tackled her as a gunshot was heard, the bullet flew and shot him in his side as he yelped in pain from it.
Once they hit the ground, Loona let out a grunt as she got up. "What the fuck was that?! If you're trying to run again, I'll just…" Before she could continue, she looked at him as her eyes slowly widened. "Catch… you…?" She saw the bullet wound in his side as Lua gasped in shock from it.
"Keith!" Jason rushed to him and kneeled down to him.
"Shit, what happened?! Was that a bullet?!" Loona asked as she checked the wound. "Fucking damn it, that went straight through."
"But who took the shot?!" Blitz asked as Kong looked out to see where the bullet came from.
"I don't know, but he's bleeding bad, bro." Tann checked the wound as he looked at Jason. "We gotta get him to a hospital." He suggested.
"It's too far, we'll never get him there in time!" Jason exclaimed.
"Uhh, excuse me! If your monkey friend can let me down, I can help with that. In exchange for enough money for not killing him." Blitz offered.
"SERIOUSLY BLITZ?!" Loona scolded him.
"What?! It's the price to pay, and I stand by it!" He declared, only for Kong to drop him as he screamed and crashed against the ground.
Loona rushed over and took the book from him and opened the pages. "Come on, come on, come on!" She tried to find the portal page.
"Whoa, is that like a grimoire?" Tann asked her.
"Yeah, it is… I don't know what to expect, but we gotta hurry before-" Another shot was heard as she quickly took cover, avoiding a shot. "Fuck! Who's shooting at us?!" She asked.
"I don't know, whoever it is, we need to get better cover." Moxxie suggested.
"Everyone, quickly, to the seaplane!" Jason ordered as they rushed Keith to the plane, trying to be careful not to make the wound worse. The sniper watched as he attempted to shoot them again, but Kong shielded them as he roared out.
He glared at the ape and shot at him, Kong shielded himself with his arm as the shot hit him. He snarled as he grabbed a crate and threw it at where the sniper was. He quickly ran from it as the crate smashed where his rifle was. Meanwhile, Loona and Jason set Keith down in the plane as she tore some rags and covered his wound. She took Keith's hand and placed it on the dampening rags. "Just put pressure on it, you're gonna be okay." She assured him.
Keith groaned as he held the bloodied rags. "I think we both know that's not true." He told her.
"Don't speak that way, we'll get you to safety." Lua told him as she pulled out some herbs and took off the rags. She placed them on his wound to stop the bleeding as she covered the rags up. "Jason, we need to get him to Kong Island… Doctor Jenkins might be able to help him." She suggested.
"But the flight there will take forever, he'll never make it!" Jason exclaimed.
"Not if we open a portal to this island of yours." Loona told them as she pulled out the Grimoire and found the page. "I just need the coordinates." She told them.
"I am not letting you demons onto my island!" Lua protested.
"Do you have any better options?!" Loona asked her, Lua was about to answer, but her eyes reverted back to Keith who was dying from the wound. "If we don't get him out of here, he is not leaving this plane alive! Do you understand?!" She yelled at her.
"She has a point, Lua. We have to make an exception. Now let's get Kong in." Jason suggested.
That made Blitz's eyes widen when he heard it. "WHAT?! There is no fucking way that monkey is gonna fit in here!" He exclaimed.
"Relax, I got this." Jason stepped out of the plane and saw Kong shield himself from bullets that were shot at him. "Kong, we gotta get going! Reverse Merger Sequence engage!" He called out as the cyberlink affected Kong as he went into Jason's mind.
Blitz was absolutely dumbfounded by what he saw, he shook his head as he saw Jason step into the plain. "How did you do this? What is that?!" He asked him, shocked.
"It's a cyberlink, it allows me to merge with Kong, or the other way around. No time to explain. Tann! Get us out of here!" Jason ordered.
"I'm on it!" Tann turned on the engines as the propellers rotated and spun fast as he took the seaplane out to sea, the assassin saw them escaping as he tried to shoot at them. Each shot missed their target as the seaplane disembarked and took flight. "Get that portal open, werewolf girl!" Tann requested.
"I'm not a freaking werewolf you dumbass! I'm a Hellhound!" Loona yelled as she found the portal page and saw the coordinates on Jason's holoprojection. "Okay, got it!" She focused the coordinates through the book and opened a portal ahead of them.
The seaplane flew through it as they made their way towards Kong Island, everyone let out a sigh of relief as they got away from their unknown assailant. "Phew… that was too close." Blitz commented as he heard Keith groan in pain. "Oh shit, he's not looking too good." He pointed out.
"That bullet went clean through alright." Moxxie examined the wound. "I haven't seen that type of shooting since Striker, and he's a crack shot with the weapons he has." He told them.
"You don't think he's after us again, do you?" Millie asked them.
"Who's after you?" Jason asked them.
"Striker. When we met him, he seemed like a charming guy." Millie explained, much to Moxxie's dismay as he gave her a hard stare. "But in reality, he's an assassin for hire. He tried to kill the owner of this Grimoire, Prince Stolas of the Ars Goetia." She showed them the Grimoire.
"And since we interfered with his attempt to kill Stolas, twice. He's been having it out for us, and he won't hesitate to get his hands dirty." Blitz explained.
"Now I've done steps, and I'm all for learning new things. But… what is an Ars Goetia?" Tann asked them as he flew down to the island.
"Ars Goetia are demons that were once 72 angels, if you've ever read the Bible, Tann. And Prince Stolas, a Great Prince of Hell, commanded twenty-six legions of demons. He teaches astronomy and is knowledgeable about herbs, plants, and precious stones. He is often depicted as a raven or a crowned owl with long legs." Jason explained.
"Definitely the latter." Blitz admitted as he crossed his arms. "I know, because I've been sleeping with that prick every full moon." He mentioned as the human group stared at the imp surprised. "Okay, why does everyone find that as such a shock?" He asked them.
"Dude, not everyone here swings the door that way." Tann informed him as he focused on landing the seaplane.
"Whatever, pussy. Personally, I say we should've left this dead weight." He gestured to Keith who was looking pale. "Besides, he's close to dying anyway, and-" Before Blitz could continue, he looked out the window and saw a Pterodactyl flying outside. "What in the ACTUAL FUCK?!" He jumped up to the cockpit and looked outside, seeing various Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Mammals roaming outside.
A chuckle came from Tann as he flew down. "Yep, that was my reaction when I first arrived here, dude." He informed him as he landed the plane in the water. The seaplane moved towards the docks and stopped to a halt.
Blitz immediately was the first one to step out as he tried to take in all he had just seen. "Okay… giant monkey, I get. But did I seriously see a fucking Pterodactyl flying in the sky?!" He asked in disbelief.
"Sir, you weren't the only one." Moxxie said as he helped carry Keith out of the plane.
He groaned as he held his wound, while Doctor Lorna Jenkins arrived on scene. "Kids, you're back early. How was-" Before she could ask, she immediately gasped upon seeing Keith and rushed over. "What happened?" She asked.
"Someone shot him, we don't know who. But he took the bullet trying to save her, Grandma." Jason gestured to Loona.
"Can you help him?" She asked him.
Lorna rushed up to Keith and kneeled down to him, she checked the wound and looked at it. "At least Lua was smart enough to put herbs on the wound. But we need to get the wound closed. Chondar!" She called out as a massive Sabertooth Tiger roared out and arrived on scene, surprising the IMP crew as Moxxie screamed in surprise.
Loona saw the majestic beast as Chondar laid onto her stomach as Lua and Jason carried Keith onto her back. "Be gentle with him, Chondar. He's badly wounded." Lua informed her as the Sabertooth Tiger nodded and headed to the cave with him.
The elderly doctor watched as she turned towards Loona and the imps. "I've seen my fair share of creatures, but none more bizarre than you four." She admitted.
"Hey! Watch it lady, I have no problem slapping you right here in front of everyone." Blitz warned her, only to hear lightning and thunder behind him as Kong appeared behind him, snarling angrily at him as he stiffened upon hearing it. "Oh shit…" He muttered.
"You should learn to respect your elders, little imp." Lorna said to him as she looked towards Loona. "Is it true he saved your life?" She asked her.
"Yeah, he said there was a laser sight, and he tackled me to the ground and took the hit." Loona explained what happened.
"But who was trying to target you?" Jason asked.
"I don't know. We have a few enemies, one we already mentioned to you." Millie informed them as she looked to her husband. "It could even be someone here from the human world." She theorized.
"Hmm… why don't we all head inside? I need to tend to Keith and we need to figure out what's going on." Lorna suggested as she led them to the cave, with Kong following behind them.
(New York- Hell's Kitchen)
Back in New York, in an apartment complex in Hell's Kitchen, the assassin sat on a couch and overlooked the broken rifle he had. It was beyond repair as he removed his mask, revealing himself as Striker as he growled furiously and pulled out his phone and pushed a number on the speed dial. "It's me. I failed to get the targets. You should have mentioned that a giant monkey was gonna be involved." He told his employer.
"Now where's the fun in telling you if there aren't gonna be surprises?" Asked a voice as it was revealed to be Ramon De La Porta. "Maybe if you had done your job, I would be of Kong and Jason by now, and you would have your money." He informed him.
"I did manage to shoot one… he'll be dead in no time." Striker informed him.
"Well, it seems you're gonna have to see to it that whoever you shot stays dead. I can't risk loose ends. I'm sending you the coordinates to Kong Island. There you will find your targets, and you better get the job done. Also, you will need the extra item I had transferred to your apartment." Ramon informed him as Striker heard a knock at the door.
He walked over to the door and opened it, finding Omar standing before him as he handed him a package. The assassin took it and slammed the door as he opened it up, finding a cyberlink inside it. "What the hell is this?" He asked him.
"A cyberlink, it will be your guide to the island. As well as your greatest weapon. It will allow you to fuze with any animal you come in contact with on the island. Simply say the words, "Merger Sequence Engage", and you will become a force of nature." He informed him.
A smirk formed over Striker's face as he put the cyberlink in his pocket. "Thanks, Prof… I'll be sure to put it to good use." He told him as he hung up and put the phone away. "Alrighty then, Blitzy… see you soon." He grinned malefically.
(Kong Island - Cave)
Back on the island, everyone got settled in as Moxxie and Millie were playing with Kip, Chondar's cub as he was playing with their tails. "Aww, that's cute. He likes you guys." Tann said as he walked up to them.
"He's just like any ordinary cat, can't resist playing chase." Millie said as she watched Kip chase her tail.
"He's still a wild animal, Millie." Moxxie reminded her.
"True, but dawww!" Millie picked up Kip and held him in her arms. "He's just so gosh darn cute!" She cooed as Kip purred from her scratching his belly.
Meanwhile, Blitz was looking around the lair as he couldn't help but admire it. "I gotta say, you guys got a swanky home." He complimented as he walked towards the infirmary. "So, how's the kid?" He asked.
"I can heal the wound, but he'll need time to recover." Lorna informed him.
Loona sat by his side as she watched him with concern in her eyes. "I can't believe a human like him would risk his life for me." She muttered.
"Not all humans are evil, Loona." Lorna informed her as she worked on patching up Keith. "Some humans are moved towards evil, or become evil at a point in their lives. It's not as simple as being born evil." She explained.
"Oh please, from the moment of birth, you're already a parasite leaching off your mama's tits." Blitz informed her.
But that resulted in Loona smacking him with her tail to shut him up. "Ignore him, he just has his own view of how the world works." She said as she looked towards Keith. "Will he be alright?" She asked.
"Given time, he'll be back on his feet before you know it." Doctor Jenkins assured her as she stitched his wounds closed. "All we can do is hope that he pulls through." She said as Chondar approached him and sniffed him, she attempted to lick his wounds.
"No, Chondar!" Lua scolded as Chondar pulled away. "You know better than that." She told her as she looked at Keith. "He's fortunate to have survived." She commented.
"For now… but whoever shot him, probably isn't finished with all of you yet." Lorna theorized.
"Ahh chill, Doctor J, we're miles away from New York. No way they'll be able to find us here." Tann assured her.
"Don't be so sure, Tann." Jason said as he walked up with Kong. "Because whoever shot Keith was after all of us. Who do you suppose would be so bold to have a personal vendetta?" He asked him.
"Well, there's De La Porta, and he's rumored to have disappeared." Tann listed him, believing he is still in a coma.
"And Chiros has been imprisoned in another dimension, unable to return." Lua added, that was when Kong snarled at the mention of Chiros' name.
This surprised the imp crew as they saw him freak out. "Whoa, what's with thunder muscles?" Blitz asked.
"Sorry about that, but the name Chiros sets him off. Chiros was once a shaman of Kong Island. But his greed and vanity turned him towards evil, and he sought to become a god with the aid of the Primal Stones." Lorna informed him.
"A human posing as a god? That is literally one step closer to Hell than he should have realized." Moxxie commented.
"Amen to that." Millie agreed with her husband, till suddenly they heard a groan as they looked to see Keith sitting up and holding his patched up wound. "Hey, he's awake!" She cheered.
"Easy, tough guy… you need to relax." Loona advised him as she held him up. "How are you feeling?" She asked him.
He groaned as he held his head a bit. "A little light headed… and a little hungry." He admitted.
"Well, luckily, your internal organs weren't hit by the bullet. You should be able to eat something. Tann?" Lorna looked at him, knowing he's the cook.
"Way ahead of you, Doctor J. One pineapple pizza, coming right up." Tann rushed to get it cooked as Kip followed after him.
"Ugh, no thanks… I'll take a watermelon any day." Keith expressed as Kong hooted and grabbed a nearby watermelon and split it in half and offered one half to him. Keith was surprised by the gesture as he took the watermelon from him. "Thanks, friend…" He said to him as Kong nodded, while Keith tried out the island watermelon. "Mmmm, this melon is really good!" He started stuffing his face with it.
Loona snickered a bit as she let out a soft chuckle. "Slow down, don't want you to get a stomach ache." She advised him.
Once finished, Keith set the shell down as Chondar took it, making Keith jump in fright upon seeing her. "Whoa… what in the world?" He asked as he watched Chondar leave with the shell.
"Hey, it's okay, she's cool. For a 10,000 year old extinct cat." Loona commented as she sat beside him. "Listen, I'm sorry you got shot. But you shouldn't have risked your life for someone who tried to kill you." She expressed.
Hearing those words made Keith look at her as he sighed while lowering his head. "I know… but… when I saw that laser sight, I acted on instinct. I couldn't just let you get shot. It wasn't in my nature to see someone get hurt. Or to hurt them in retaliation, unless it's out of self-defense." He expressed his reasons for saving her.
She looked at him as she felt the sincerity of his words, and felt his caring nature. Despite recent events, she could feel her face getting warm as she couldn't help but admire his code. She smiled at him as she touched his hand. "At least that's one good quality about you people can like." She said to him as he looked at her in her stunning silver eyes.
The two looked at each other as Blitz watched with his mouth slacked open, mainly by the fact that they were holding each other's hands which really didn't bode well with him. He immediately got between them and separated them. "Nice to see you're up kid, get well, we're going home." He declared.
"What? But we literally just got here, Blitz." Millie complained.
"And I say we are leaving, because I am not sticking around a dinosaur infested island a moment longer." He declared as Tann approached with fresh out of the oven pizza.
"You sure? Got pizza that's fresh out of the oven." He announced.
The smell of it literally got to Blitz's nose as he took in a deep breath, smelling how good it was. His stomach growled as he let out a sigh. "Okay, okay, we'll stick around a bit longer." He said, only because he was hungry. Moxxie and Millie cheered upon hearing it as they rushed and got a slice of their own, while Blitz followed to get a slice.
Keith and Loona smiled as they looked at each other. "Come on, one slice won't kill you." She told him as Kong reached over and helped him onto his feet.
He sighed as he let out a small chuckle. "Okay, one slice." He replied as he walked with her.
Meanwhile, Striker arrived via portal as he stepped through and looked around. Upon seeing the prehistoric mammals and all the various dinosaurs on the island, he chuckled humorously as he put his hat on. "Well Blitzy… you thought you could get away twice. But not a third time, I'm gonna enjoy tearing you apart." He muttered as he heard something behind him, he turned around and saw a pack of raptors behind him as they hissed at him. He smirked as he put on the cyberlink Ramon gave to him. "Alrighty then… time to put this baby to the test." He said as he activated it. "Merger Sequence Engage." He said as light shined around him and one of the raptors.
Back at the cave, the group was enjoying the pizza Tann cooked as Moxxie and Millie were sharing each other's slices, as any lover would on any dinner dates. Meanwhile, Blitz was on the phone with Erick to get a point across. "Now listen here fuckface, you put a hit on someone who had nothing to do with your death, we have solid evidence that you only set him up because you wanted to make a profit off his work, you greedy little shit! By the way, you won't be getting your money back, so BYYYYE~!" He hung up on him.
"That takes care of that." Moxxie commented.
"Yeah, I thought he was sketchy when he walked into the office." Loona said as she ate a slice of pizza.
"So, you guys seriously call yourselves the Immediate Murder Professionals?" Tann asked them as he ate his slice.
"Yeah, I.M.P. I figured it had to stand for something, so that's what I came up with." Blitz explained.
A sigh came from Moxxie as he crossed his arms. "And we'd have a better business if he didn't put out that commercial." He stated.
"Hey! It was a work of art, and you know it!" Blitz expressed.
"Sir, it was complete randomness and moving way too close to musical theater. Nobody likes the jingles." Moxxie told him.
"I liked them." Millie informed him.
This made Moxxie point his finger at her in utter dismay. "I told you, do not agree with him in front of me." He told her.
Kong meanwhile was enjoying his banana's, before he could eat another batch, he immediately sensed something outside as he growled. Tann noticed it as he stood up. "Oh man, I know that look." He said, feeling worried as Kip rushed to his side.
"What's got him in a cranky mood?" Blitz asked him.
"Kong acts on instinct, and I never doubted them for an instant. He must sense that something has intruded in his territory." Lorna theorized.
"Like THAT?!" Moxxie pointed out as a mutated Raptor stepped in, showing characteristics of Striker with it. The eyes, spikes, and tail were a clear indication that Striker merged with a raptor. It snarled viciously as it grinned at Blitz.
His eyes widened upon seeing it as he backed up. "Striker…!" He exclaimed, if the mutated raptor had vocal cords, it would say "In the flesh". Kong snarled at the Raptor-merged imp as he went to tackle him, but Striker's nimble and fast speed outmatched his brute strength as he leapt over him and kicked him in the back, knocking him down as he snarled and turned towards Keith.
"Oh shit." He muttered as Striker went to kill him for good, but Loona grabbed Keith and got him out of the way of his strike. "How did he find us?!" He asked as he ran with her.
"I don't know, but I'm not waiting around to find out!" Loona exclaimed as she ran with him towards the exit, but Striker leapt in front of them and snarled viciously at them.
"Keith!" Jason yelled out as he turned towards Kong. "Kong, we need to hurry!" He said as his big brother nodded his head to him, he turned on the cyberlink and looked him in the eye. "Merger Sequence Engage!" He called out as light shined around him and he merged with Kong, who roared out while beating his chest and turned towards Striker who attempted to kill Loona and Keith.
He quickly grabbed Striker and pulled him away from them and dragged him outside. Striker struggled in his grasp as he snarled viciously. Once Kong got him out of the cave, he threw him over as Striker flipped through the air and landed gracefully on the ground. Snarling viciously as his tail rattled like a rattlesnake.
"Whoa! This dude is nimble!" Tann exclaimed.
"Striker is an assassin, of course he would be!" Blitz yelled.
"Jason and Kong will stop him." Lua assured them as Kong snarled and swung a punch at him, but Striker avoided it as he flipped back and kicked him in the face, forcing him to back up and shake his head. Striker snarled viciously as he landed quick jabs against his torso and elbowed him in the chest. Kong tried to punch him, only for Striker to move swiftly as he maneuvered away from his punches and he landed a hard punch against his face.
"I don't think they do, Striker is way out of their league!" Moxxie exclaimed as Striker leapt over Kong when he tried to tackle him, he snared the ape by his waist with his tail and threw him over as Kong slammed against the wall. He groaned from it as Keith watched Striker who turned towards him with a malefic grin. He snarled as he walked towards him and the rest of the imp crew.
Keith knew that he was in no condition to run, and this may very well be the end of him and his friends. "Keith!" Lorna yelled and gained his attention as she tossed him an extra cyberlink, he caught it as he examined it. "You saw Jason do it, now it's your turn!" She informed him.
Before he could, Striker had no intention of letting him as he snarled and slashed at him. But Loon rode towards him on Chondar and grabbed him as she got him onto Chondar's back and rode off. Striker snarled angrily as he chased them outside. Keith held onto Loon as he looked back, seeing Striker give chase as he put on the cyberlink. "We need to get far away from him!" He exclaimed.
"Working on it, and if you're gonna do that merger thing, better do it now before Striker catches us!" Loona suggested as she held onto Chondar.
Keith looked back as they made it outside, while Striker was starting to catch up to them. He touched the cyberlink to activate it in hopes of merging with Chondar. "Here goes nothing… Merger Sequence, Engage!" He activated it as light shined around him, Chondar felt that he and Loona were off her back as she turned and saw the light growing bigger as Striker approached and saw it.
Appearing from the light, was a giant mutated, masculine version of Loona, but Keith was in control as his eyes opened and he let out a powerful howl. Upon hearing it, Blitz's fatherly instincts kicked in as he rushed out with the others, once they made it outside, his eyes widened when he saw what became of Loona "Wha-Wha-WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BABY!" He exclaimed.
"Keith must have merged with Loona by accident." Lorna theorized.
"Honestly, that is actually a really cool look." Moxxie admitted.
"Shut the FUCK UP MOXXIE!" Blitz yelled as he stormed towards Keith. "Alright, pal, you better unmerge from Loona, or so help me, I am gonna-" Before Blitz could finish, Striker snarled as he approached them. "On second thought, KICK HIS ASS!" He yelled as Keith turned towards Striker who attempted to claw him.
He avoided his attacks as he felt Loona's skill guiding him, he blocked Striker's claw strikes as he landed swift jabs against his torso and swung his tail, smacking him in the face as he landed a harsh kick against his stomach, forcing him to cough up blood. He soon grabbed him by the throat and relentlessly beat him in the face and threw him down to the ground.
Striker shook his head as he snarled viciously as Keith and swung his tail, smacking him against the face and making him yelp from it. The assassin lunged at him and bit down on his neck as Keith cried out painfully as he struggled with him. He punched Striker against his stomach and grabbed his jaws and forced his jaws open as he pushed him back.
He clawed against Keith's chest, making him snarl angrily as he slammed Striker's head against the mountain wall. He went to slam his elbow against him, but the assassin ducked from it as he struck at him a few times, only for Keith to retaliate but backhanding him in the face as he landed a high kick against his jaw, causing it to shatter as Striker shrieked from it.
"WOOHOO! That's the Keith I remember! No-Nonsense, and Tough-as-nails!" Tann cheered out, the mutated hellhound walked towards Striker as the assassin shook his head and grabbed some dirt and threw it in his eyes, causing Keith to shield himself as Striker rammed against him, knocking him down as he pummeled him into the ground.
"Oh that DADDY FUCKER!" Blitz roared angrily, only for Kong to rush out and wrap his arms around Striker as he pulled him away from Keith. The Raptor-turned Imp snarled and thrashed as he tried to get out of his grip. Keith meanwhile got up and growled viciously at Striker as he charged over and landed several claw strikes against his torso, making him shriek and writhe in agony.
He struggled as Kong lifted him up and threw him against a wall, causing the earth to shake as Striker fell to the ground, groaning badly from his injuries as both Kong and Keith approached him. Seeing that he was getting ganged up on, Striker had no choice but to retreat and run into the jungle. "He's getting away!" Millie exclaimed!
"We have bigger issues." Moxxie said as he pointed at Keith as he and Loona were still merged. He struggled to find the cyberlink as he groaned holding his head.
"What's happening?" Blitz asked as he felt concerned, mostly for Loona.
"He can't find the Cyberlink. And if he remains in Loona for too long, it's gonna cause problems between the two." Tann explained as he looked towards Kong. "Hey Jason, mind helping Keith and Loona out?" He requested as Jason, taking over Kong, nodded his head as he walked over to Keith and grabbed his hand and guided it to where the cyberlink was.
Once he pressed the button, a light flashed around him as both Keith and Loon flew across the field and hit the ground. Both of them groaned from a throbbing headache as Loona sat up. "Owwww… What the fuck…! I didn't even drink today, and already I feel like I got a hangover." She complained.
"Sure feels that way… and I don't even drink." Keith said as he rubbed his head, while Kong touched the cyberlink on his ear and pressed it as he got Jason out of his head and he appeared before them.
He stood up and looked at them. "Are you two okay?" He asked them.
"Besides suffering a migraine like nobody's business?" Keith asked him.
"Yeah, first mergers are rough." Jason informed him as Kong nodded in agreement.
Blitz meanwhile, grabbed Keith by his shirt and pulled him up. "Alright shithead! Who gave you permission to merge with my daughter?! I swear to fuck! I'll kill you if you so much as made her-"
"Blitz! Calm down, it's nothing sexual." Loona assured him as she got up and rubbed her head. "But the raw power… it's like all my senses are on overdrive." She admitted.
"Yeah, I never imagined Hellhounds had such ferocity. It's like my fighting style was mixed with your speed and agility." Keith pointed out to her.
"You said it…" Loona agreed as she exhaled, feeling her headache going away. "That's better… now." She turned towards Jason and the others. "How the actual fuck did Striker find this island? I thought you guys were the only ones with the coordinates to this place." She lectured them.
"We were. The only person who knows the location of this island is Ramon." Jason stated.
"If Ramon Da La Porta is out there, then he must've revealed the location of this island to Striker." Lua theorized.
"But how did De La Putred buddy up with Striker?" Tann asked him.
"I don't know… but if those two are working together, it's bad news for both us, and everyone in both the human world, and in Hell." Blitz declared as he looked out towards the jungle, knowing Striker is out there somewhere.
Deep within the jungle, Striker had unmerged with the Raptor he had and sliced open its throat to keep it from attacking him. "Useless reptile…!" He said with venom spilling from his mouth as he looked around. "Nevertheless… I'll just find a new one. Something with a little more power." He said as he chuckled darkly, till he got a call from Ramon through his cyberlink and answered.
"Let me guess, you failed. Again!" He yelled.
"Apparently they saved the kid I shot. And he's got his own little cyberlink, and he merged with Blitz's Hellhound." Striker informed him.
"I hired you when you got me out of being locked up, and this is the result of your progress?! I expect more from you Striker, so don't disappoint me again!" Ramon yelled as he hung up, much to Striker's anger as he growled and looked out towards the Jungle.
Later that night, the IMP crew decided to stay the night on the island as they slept in separate areas. Keith meanwhile was sitting outside as he looked at the night sky, he soon heard footsteps behind him as he looked and saw Loona approaching him. "Hey… can't sleep?" She asked him.
"No…" He replied as he looked out. "All of this is really tough to take in. Demons and Hellhounds actually exist, you almost killing me, and the fact that monsters are also real? Not that Kong is a monster in any way, shape or form. And the fact that we merged together?" He brought it up.
Loona sat beside him as she sighed. "Yeah, I can still feel you under my skin." She admitted as she rubbed her arm. "Not… that I mind, you know. It's just a new experience for both of us." She told him.
"Yeah, this whole merger thing is a lot to deal with. Admittedly, I was expecting to merge with Chondar." He confessed his original intentions as Kip pounced on him playfully, causing him to yelp and laugh as he playfully wrestled Kip down. "You little ragamuffin!" He rubbed his belly. "Look at that, you're getting a belly rub! You're getting a belly rub!" He playfully yelled as Kip let out a small snarl while trying to kick him with his back legs.
Loona watched as her cheeks puffed, she tried to hold in her laughter. Only to fail miserably as she laughed at how cute it was. "For someone who's trying to get used to everything that's happening, you're taking it rather well with the cub." She pointed out.
"Well, when it comes to young cubs, I can handle it." Keith told her as he smiled and looked towards her. "Here… try it." He held out Kip to her.
She panicked seeing it as she held up her hands, waving them to decline. "Ohh no, I'm not a cat person." She declared.
"Oh come on, how can you not love this adorable face." He asked as he and Kip made cute eyes at her.
"Nice try, Keith. But that doesn't… work…" She stared into Kip's cute eyes as she blushed, trying to hide it. "No… no, anything but that…!" She pleaded as she tried to look away. But Kip's eyes were so adorable, it was hard not to find it adorable. "UGH! Okay, fine, FUCK! Hand over the cat…" She ordered as Keith smiled and placed Kip in her arms.
As she held Kip in her arms, she looked at the cub who snuggled comfortably in her arms. She blushed as she smiled cutely at the cub and nuzzled him playfully as she scratched his belly to tickle him as Kip snarled playfully at her. "See? It's not so bad." Keith told her with a smile.
"I can see that." Loona said as she felt the cold breeze which made her shudder from how cold it was. Keith noticed it as he took his blanket and wrapped it around her to help her keep warm. She was surprised by his actions and looked at him as he smiled at her. She blushed as she turned away while moving her hair a bit, smiling as she glanced towards him. "Thanks… I had no idea it'd be this chilly on this island." She told him.
"Me neither… but it has a great view." Keith looked out towards the stars, seeing how bright they were as Loona's eyes widened in awe upon seeing them. The night sky was lit with them as her eyes sparkled like diamonds.
She was stunned by them as she smiled and leaned against Keith, resting her head against his shoulder as he blushed a little. He looked at her as he smiled and looked at the night sky with her to enjoy the view. Unbeknownst to them, Blitz was watching them as he growled, being the overprotective that he is. "That little shit… if he touches my baby, I swear to-"
Before he could continue, Moxxie and Millie pounced on him and covered his mouth. "For once in your life sir, don't ruin this for her! She's not a little kid!" Moxxie whispered.
"Just let her have this, Blitz!" Millie whispered as Blitz struggled. He growled, knowing he would kill Keith if he tried anything against Loona. And if he does, he is going to rip him to pieces the first chance he gets.
