"Say goodbye, Grogu." Din prompted, lifting Grogu up so the kid could wave to the villagers, his little face set in a pout.
"Patu." Grogu said sadly, his ears drooping.
"We'll come back sometime." Din promised.
"Ahh." Grogu babbled, waving his little claws in the direction of the villagers as their faces grew smaller and smaller in the ship's viewport.
"Soon." Boba promised, reaching over to ruffle the kid's little patch of hair. "Now that I've convinced your dad he doesn't have to be such a workaholic, we'll be back, eh?"
Din rolled his eyes, smiling despite himself. "I'm not that bad." He protested light-heartedly, bouncing Grogu in his arms.
Boba shook his head fondly, knocking his foot against Din's. "Whatever you say, Din'ika."
"Patu!" Grogu chimed in, looking up at Din with a toothy grin. He clambered up to Din's shoulder, his little claws clanging softly against Din's beskar.
Din reached up to steady him with a careful hand, letting Grogu stand on Din's shoulder to get a better look out the viewport as they left the planet's atmosphere.
Boba entered their coordinates in the navicomputer, and pulled the lever to send them into hyperspace, streaks of light rushing past the window.
Grogu watched the stars rush by, his little eyes round with awe, before leaping down from Din's shoulder to the floor. "Ahh." He said, waving a clawed hand.
"Go ahead, go play." Din assured him. "Just don't break anything, okay? And don't touch any of the weapons."
"Ah - hah." Grogu said sagely, giving Din a decidedly I'm not stupid look. Boba laughed, the sound a deep rumble behind his helmet.
Din rolled his eyes. "Go on."
Grogu flashed him a toothy grin before darting out of the cockpit.
Chuckling, Boba pulled off his helmet and stood, placing it on the dash in front of him. "Kid's got spirit."
"Yeah." Din smiled ruefully. "Maybe too much."
"Nah." Boba leaned in until he was standing over Din and pressed a kiss to Din's cheek, nosing Din's cheekbone. "He's a good kid. You've done a good job with him."
Din shrugged, blushing as Boba pressed fluttering kisses to his cheek, the hinge of his jaw, his neck. "Boba -" He said, half-laughing, affection warm in his belly.
"What?" Boba nosed at the underside of Din's jaw, his breath warm against Din's skin. "It's true. You're a good father, Din'ika."
He worried the skin underneath Din's jaw with his teeth, oh so gently, smiling against Din's skin.
"Boba -" Din said hoarsely, his blood fizzling in his skin, his pulse picking up at Boba's proximity. "I - we can't - the kid - "
"Kid's busy." Boba rumbled, his hands coming up to take Din by the waist, warm even through Din's flight suit. He leaned in to kiss Din, his tongue tracing the edge of Din's teeth as Din opened up to it. Boba hummed against Din's lips, his grip on Din's waist tightening, capturing Din's lower lip in his teeth. The hot flash of pleasure made Din whine, and he thrust up against Boba almost involuntarily, arousal hot in his veins.
Boba made a deep rumbling sound, leaning in further to press his thigh between Din's legs, his muscled thigh hot against Din's dick even through their layers of clothing. Breaking the kiss, Boba panted against Din's lips, his stubble raspy against Din's cheek.
"Boba - " Din panted, clutching Boba's biceps, his voice embarrassingly breathy. "I - we can't - not here -"
Boba nodded, and pulled back with what seemed to be great effort, his eyes black with desire. "Fresher?" He asked hoarsely.
Din swallowed, his dick twitching in his pants, and nodded frantically.
Boba chuckled, and took Din's hand, leading him into the ship's tiny fresher, locking the door behind them. He pressed in close, brushing his nose against Din's jaw, cupping Din's neck with one broad hand and holding onto Din's hand with the other.
"Boba -" Din clutched at Boba's biceps, his heart kicking against his ribs.
"Relax, Din'ika." Boba murmured, sliding his thigh back between Din's legs. "Tell me what you want, hm?"
"I - " Din stammered, arousal burning through his veins at the pressure of Boba's thigh.
Boba nipped at his neck, his teeth dragging on Din's skin, and Din moaned at the feeling. "I - we can't - have to be quick - " Din panted, leaning his head back against the wall as Boba set his hands on Din's hips, his hands warm and solid.
Boba hummed against his skin, sliding one hand between their bodies and cupping Din through his clothes. "Relax, baby." He rumbled, the vibration of his voice against Din's skin making Din shiver.
"Take this off for me?" Boba murmured, tapping Din's beskar chest plate with a fingernail.
Din nodded, letting go of Boba to unclasp his gauntlets. "You too?" He asked.
"Anything you want, Din'ika." Boba said, leaning in to kiss Din.
They both tossed aside their armor and clothes in fits and starts, in between deep, lingering kisses that made Din's head swim. Finally, they were naked, the cool air in the fresher making Din shiver.
Boba chuckled, his broad hands resting on Din's hips, pulling him in close. "Cold?" He teased, kissing Din's nose playfully.
"Shut up." Din huffed, sparks dancing up his spine as Boba took both of them in hand and stroked lazily.
Boba just nipped his earlobe teasingly, tightening his grip imperceptibly as Din slid his hands down to hold onto Boba's ass. He squeezed cautiously, experimentally, and Boba groaned, kissing Din with a sudden fervor.
Emboldened, Din squeezed a little firmer, grinning against Boba's lips as Boba's strokes picked up speed.
Boba let out a low growl, biting the soft skin behind Din's ear, releasing it to run his tongue over the bite as Din made a sound embarrassingly like a squeak. Hot pleasure fizzled in his belly as Boba ran a calloused hand up and down, keeping both of them in a tight grip.
"Boba -" Din panted, leaning his head back against the fresher wall as Boba peppered sharp, biting kisses to his jaw, leaving blooming heat in his wake.
"So good for me, sweetheart." Boba rumbled, nosing the bottom of Din's jaw. "So beautiful, baby."
"Boba -" Din clutched Boba closer, heat swimming in his blood, and came with a strangled shout, spilling across Boba's fist. Boba groaned, leaning in to press his forehead to Din's, and pumped his hand a few more times until he followed Din over the edge with a low-throated moan.
Sighing, Boba leaned in close, letting go of them both and wrapping his arms around Din's middle. Din did the same, and they stood there for a minute in a comfortable embrace. Finally, Boba pulled away and reached over to turn on the ship's small sonic shower. Din followed him into the shower, letting the vibrations wash away the mess they'd made, scour away the sweat, until they were both clean.
Boba pressed a gentle kiss to Din's cheek, wrapping his strong arms around Din's waist. Din leaned into the touch, sighing contentedly.
"I should check on the kid." He said reluctantly.
"Hmm." Boba hummed, leaning in to kiss his forehead. "In a minute."
"Boba -" Din said, laughing as Boba pressed in even closer to tuck his face into Din's neck, his stubble rasping deliciously against the sensitive skin of Din's neck.
Boba just made a faint grumbling noise, tucking his nose against the column of Din's throat. He tightened his arms around Din, squeezing gently.
"We can't leave the kid alone much longer." Din said, pressing his forehead to the top of Boba's head, his chest warm with affection.
Who would have thought Boba Fett would be a cuddler? He thought.
Boba let out a long sigh, nuzzling close to Din before pulling back. "Better make sure he hasn't set anything on fire, eh?"
"Yeah." Din smiled, leaning down to kiss Boba, squeezing his arm playfully.
Boba hummed against his lips, keeping the kiss gentle and sweet.
Breaking the kiss, Din sighed and looked around for his clothes. "C'mon. We better get dressed."
They stepped out of the fresher and put their clothes and armor back on, helping one another with the various clasps and buckles. As Boba turned to let Din help him fasten his chest plate into place, he tapped at his comm to open the most recent messages.
"Fennec called." Boba said, letting Din turn him slightly to tighten the straps of the chest plate.
"Yeah?" Din asked, reaching for Boba's free hand to clasp Boba's gauntlet into place on his forearm.
"Yeah." Boba said slowly, scrolling through the message. Din could practically hear the frown forming on his face. "Din - "
"What?" Din asked, concerned. Boba turned to face him, his comm still held loosely in one hand.
"It's your tribe." Boba said carefully, suddenly on alert, the ease and relaxation gone from his stance.
Din tensed, swallowing hard. "What - what about the tribe?"
"They're at the palace."
