Then we will burn everything.
"You knew!" The accusation only made the woman laugh from the windowsill where she was sitting, looking out without even bothering to turn to look at the two men. When she felt her brother grab her by the neck, she looked at him amused, laughing.
"Scared, Imu?" she asked teasingly of her brother. "The five elders can't help you now," she chuckled, feeling bubbling happiness as she referred to the five elders who were the face of the world government. "Of course it was me, it has always been me, from the very beginning. Do you think Nefertari D. Lili could have escaped with the Poneglyph alone without help?" she mocked, immensely happy. "I was the one who saved Joy Boy's soul," she sang, pushing her brother to let her go, standing up straight. "You thought you were the great untouchable conductor, Imu... but the true puppeteer was me. It took me 900 years to defeat you, but today is the sweetest day of all."
"Why? Don't you look outside? Everything is collapsing, we are all going to die, you have brought about the end of the world."
"Yes, everyone will finally be a beautiful and grand funeral offering for my son, the son you killed," she reminded him, stopping smiling and looking at her brother with all the coldness of the Arctic.
"I did it for your own good, you were a Nerona and you gave birth to a filthy D. I protected you," the great ruler from the shadows reproached his sister.
"From the day you killed my son, I swore I would see you die and lose everything you loved just as you took away what I loved. I loved my son, you love power. It's poetic justice, and I always planned for this to be your downfall," she smiled. "Go ahead, brother, kill me if you want, the world is ending, die now or in a few more minutes it doesn't matter, your world, your everything has come to an end. You will finally be the funeral sacrifice you were always meant to be for my baby," she said, turning to look at the destruction from the window, the screams of the world nobles repulsed her, the fire, everything was a beautiful piece of music and justice.
Princess Nerona had lived for over 900 years, but now everything had finally ended. She had finally been able to do justice to her son and could now go to him. "It's okay, baby, mommy's coming," she thought to herself with a sweet smile as she watched the end of the world.

After having lived 900 years, she always wondered what dying would be like. Imu never allowed her to die, the sick man, but finally, in the end, she was able to do it, but she didn't think this would be death. It was nothing like she had imagined.
The room was bright and beautiful, the wind blowing, moving the curtains, and the baby in her arms, a newborn with strong and healthy lungs. She knew, for this child to be born, the owner of this body died, but... why was she here? Then she saw the baby's eyes and recognized him... he was her son, her baby, she had no doubt about that. The same baby that Imu snatched from her arms and killed 900 years ago for being half D.
"Gol D. Ace," she cradled the baby in her arms, kissing his forehead, saying for the first time in 900 years the name she had always longed to give her son. The Vice Admiral at her door was not important, she didn't even register him, before her eyes there was only her freckled, bald baby, she had waited for 900 years to hug him again. "Mom is here, Ace, mom is here," she sang softly.

English is not my first language and I have only been learning it for a few years, so I apologize for any possible errors. I use translating like this as a practice to gain confidence and feel more comfortable with the language.
This fanfic is just my craving to see Luffy, Ace, and Sabo have a happy and healthy childhood with a mother who loved them (even though only Ace is biologically hers, Rouge doesn't give a damn about that; to her, all three are hers). A woman who taught Ace to take pride in being Gol D. Roger's son instead of letting him grow up thinking he didn't deserve to live because of being Roger's son. A woman who taught them to fight and use Haki (and forced Garp to help her teach this) because she wouldn't send her children out into the world without knowing how to defend themselves as best as possible. And how all of this could change things, an Ace, Sabo, and Luffy leaving knowing how to use Haki from the tenderest age, having been raised to be proud, to be free, happy, and ruthless if they had to be. How a different upbringing could have changed events.
