The room was now filled not only with the emotional wreckage left by the Fantastic Four but also with a new wave of tension as Daredevil and the rest of the Defenders along with spiderman made their entrance. Daredevil stood, fists clenched and eyes hidden behind his mask, filled with barely-controlled rage. Behind him, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist looked just as tense and disappointed.*

Daredevil (Matt Murdock)* (voice trembling) You've got some nerve, Xavier. Letting fisk— on your island that bastard has caused me nothing but pain

Charles Xavier* (visibly shaken) Matthew, please, understand—

Jessica Jones* (stepping forward, eyes cold) Understand? Understand what? That you've become a hypocrite? That you're harboring murders and rapists scumbags under some misguided sense of unity? It doesn't work that way, Xavier.

Luke Cage* (crossing his arms) A man of your wisdom should've seen this coming. Or did you just not care?

Iron Fist* This isn't about just protecting mutants anymore. It's become dirty politics, and neither side is winning. Especially not the innocents caught in the crossfire.

Wolverine* (snarling) You guys think we don't know that? We're fighting a war on all fronts!

spiderman * (steps closer to Wolverine, his expression unreadable through the mask) At what cost, Logan? At what cost?

A heavy silence filled the room again, the weight of their collective disappointment pressing down on everyone. Jean Grey's eyes misted over, but she too remained silent, realizing how far they had fallen.*

Charles Xavier* (voice breaking) I thought I was leading us to salvation, but it seems like I've only led us to damnation. But what was I supposed to do? Leave mutants to be continuously persecuted? To be hunted down? Krakoa was supposed to be a lighthouse, a beacon of hope...

Jessica Jones* (scoffing) A lighthouse for who? Last time I checked, a beacon is supposed to guide, not ostracize.

Cyclops* (shaking his head) We did what we thought was best. To protect our kind. It's not as black and white as you're making it out to be.

Luke Cage* (his voice booming) Protection doesn't mean betrayal. It doesn't mean sacrificing your morals.

Outside, rain began to fall, a somber soundtrack to the heartbreak encapsulated inside the meeting room. Realizing there was little more to say, the Defenders began to make their exit.*

Daredevil (turning back one last time)* (voice low but impactful) We've all been through hell and back, and I'd normally be the last person to give up on hope or second chances. But right now, you guys are out of chances. Until you can find your way back to who you used to be, consider us done too.

As Daredevil and the Defenders turned and walked away, the door slowly creaked shut behind them, amplifying the loneliness that enveloped the remaining X-Men. The once unbreakable bond between allies now felt irreparably shattered,

Okay, so originally it was just one chapter, but I thought if any other hero should call him out, it's Daredevil, considering Fisk caused him the most pain.

Honestly, to Jonathan Hickman and all the other assholes who turned the X-Men into a bunch of narcissistic cunts, thanks a fucking lot. You disgust me.

I'm not sure if I'm planning on continuing the story, but I'll see.
