Ulrich362: Yugi easily defeated Weevil, Duelist Kingdom's starting off well.
bopdog111: I wasn't expecting for Weevil to get owned that easily over. This isn't the last we see of him, and we will see what his skill with Javelin Beetle is in the future.
Ulrich362: Hopefully, but for now it's time for Joey and Chie to show how skilled they are.
bopdog111: Well we can see Joey with Mai but what about Chie?
Ulrich362: There are plenty of duelists on the island, we'll see what happens. Oh and for the record Joey... doesn't currently own his Ritual Monsters.
bopdog111: Not right now, as he doesn't have Red-Eyes.
Ulrich362: True, but he has other options. Enjoy the chapter.

In Pegasus' large castle was Pegasus himself sitting at a table with the Eliminator with him alongside a big agent like bodyguard as he stares at a pocket watch at the time before closing it grinning. "The tournament is now underway, and the slow process of elimination is well underway."
"Of course, everything is proceeding exactly as you predicted Mr. Pegasus." the agent grinned.
"Of course, only the strongest Duel Monsters players will survive, and any of those not strong enough will fall." Pegasus grinned standing up.
The Eliminator stand by watching over. He hadn't been with Pegasus that long as one of his Eliminators though does know how determined he is to achieve his goals whatever they are by doing this tournament, and now taking the Soul of Yugi's Grandfather or dragging Yuji into this after Alvis was defeated. Well he hopes that by the end of this he can see his sister again after some years of separation, he has to get her back no matter what.
Meanwhile...
Yugi, Yuji, Joey, Tea, Tristan, and Chie are all together arriving at a beach side area looking out into the view. After Weevil was defeated by Yugi where he was escorted out (a little forcefully) by security, and Joey takes his Gauntlet, and Star Chips for Yugi to have. Now Joey is more then determined to show everyone what he can do as he ran to a small hill seeing the view of the beach grinning ahead. "Look out everyone, here comes Joey Wheeler the newest Duel Monsters Champ! I'm the king of the world baby!"
Which of course didn't ease the worries of his friends as Joey is still a inexperienced amateur duelist surrounded by Tournament Grade Duelists who had been dueling with years of experience against other powerful opponents, sure that Joey will get crushed in one move, or worse yet, defeated the moment it begins.
"Is he... normally like that?" Chie asked a bit uncertainly.
"Your his sister, Chie don't you know?" Tea asked her.
"Not normally... after our parents divorced me, and Serenity lived with mom, and I was still pretty young when it happened." Chie admitted over that she doesn't remember Joey's antics much by the time there parents separated. Then she then smiled looking over to Joey. "Then again... there is something nice about seeing him be so confident." Then she suddenly paused when she realizes something. "He... does have Rituals right?"
"He had been training for weeks... but no, he doesn't have any of those." Yuji admitted to Chie.
"That might be a problem." Chie frowned.
"Don't worry about it Chie, I might not have powerful Ritual Monsters yet, but I'm still an awesome duelist who learned from one of the best... and I guarantee I'll win this tournament no problem." Joey reassured her. He then frowned turning back. "I'd better be... for her sake." The beachside view is reminding him of the time he, and Serenity went to the beach years ago before she is on the verge of losing her eyesight. She had said she wanted to go to the beach before she can't see anymore so Joey without his parent's permission went to the beach with her, and she was excited over while he tried for a swim but the water was too cold, and she called him the best big brother. Joey then promised that one day they will return which he then assured a worried Serenity that even if there parents separated they will come back, and maybe bring Chie too when she gets older. A pinkie promise on top of that where now he has to win the prize money to save her eyesight, and bring her to that beach if it's all it takes.
"Joey..." Chie whispered seeing his expression.
"Alright, no time to waste I need to find myself an opponent." Joey declared. "I can't fall behind and miss my chance to win this thing."
Seeing that Chie nodded. "Yeah, the same goes for me... one of us is going to win Joey, I'm sure of it."
Suddenly hearing some cheering they looked over seeing stadiums all over the island. All of them are different Duel Fields that Pegasus explained of this 'Universal Field Spell' gimmick at the start while he was saying the rules of Forest, Plain, Oceans, and all of that. The first step to get that prize money he needed, Joey is gonna need to win at duels.
"Alright let's do this!"
"But Joey your sure? If you lose, you'll give up, you're only Star Chip." Tea reminded which Joey dropped down having forgotten he is on pretty thin ice right now.
But Yuji only smiled. "He can do it. He needs to imagine how the duel will go." Which confuses them but Chie who smiled hearing those words.
"Right, thanks Yuji... alright let's see... who should I try and take on in a duel?" Joey asked as he looked at his deck. "I have a lot of warriors so probably a meadow, that sound right to you Yuge?"
"Yeah, though this entire tournament shouldn't be full of pros. There's probably someone on your level."
"Yeah, you should go for someone easy Joey." Tea agreed with Yugi's sentiment figuring it be better for Joey to start at beginner level by facing a duelist who isn't all that strong among this army of duelists.
"And you know what your doing so far by thinking of a meadow as the best solution. In fact we're on that meadow now." Yugi looked around seeing they are in a open plain. Now they need an opponent...
"Give me your Star Chips crybaby, you lost!"
...Probably not the kind of opponent like her.
Hearing the yelling they turned over where Tea looked visibly annoyed. "Oh no, it's her..." They see Mai was at a duel stadium laughing as she places newly won Star Chips in her gauntlet while her opponent looked stumped.
"You must've cheated somehow, there was no way, you could've done all of that!" her opponent argued over unable to believe that similar to Rex, she knew what her cards are without looking at them.
"Great, her." Tea frowned seeing Mai. "Of all the people to run into it has to be that witch."
Unfortunately for her Mai overheard and noticed the group.
"Well well, look who's here." Mai grinned over towards them all.
"Whoa, already won 2 Star Chips." Joey was a bit impressed that she managed to win that Duel easy, and from what they heard from her opponent, without any effort.
She then grinned keeping close towards Yugi, and Yuji over. "Oh Yugi, Yuji! Are both your duels going well?"
"We're making progress..."
"I haven't dueled yet."
Mai takes Yugi's hand where he can see his Star Chips recalling his match against Weevil while Tea looked visibly annoyed, and angry. "Oh you have 3 Star Chips, don't you? I remember that match you had with Weevil, he's yesterday's news huh by you beating him that easily." She then turned over to Yuji. "And you Yuji, if you haven't dueled yet, I can be up to duel you myself." Chie herself feels a bit annoyed over like Tea is, she seemed to be flirting with her kind-of brother, and something more. "So what you say dear?" Mai gives a suggestive wink to Yuji who blinked blushing over unable to make his mind before turning his eyes away.
"Well, I..."
"Duel her Yuji." He jumped hearing Chie whisper beside her. "Duel her, and have her kicked out of the island."
Either ignoring or remaining oblivious of Chie, Mai pulled back grinning. "Alright then I made my choice..." She readied before then pointing to the last suspected opponent. "You, Joey Wheeler!"
Everyone blinked hearing that before Joey looked around and pointed at himself. "You're challenging me?"
"Of course, you got the guts to accept?" Mai grinned over which Joey then grinned wiping his nose. "Don't get a big head though, it has nothing to do with a challenge." Joey blinked over while she explained. "I just overheard you a few times on the boat. First with Yugi giving you his only other Star Chip, then you challenging Gale Kurasama when you never competed in your life. Case in point, my motto is, 'Take out the weakest players first'." From that all she is doing is basically insulting him while exploiting the fact he never had a match in his life to get rid of him first.
"Oh you think just because this is my first tournament I'm easy pickings?" Joey questioned. "Fine, you've got yourself a duel Mai!"
"Of course." Mai smirked over.
"Hang on Joey, while she isn't completely wrong, you can't duel her first." Tea stated over while Joey looked a bit disheartened by Tea agreeing with Mai.
"Yeah, if you lose this match, you're out of the tournament." Tristan agreed also thinking Mai is beyond Joey's league.
"Come on you two, a little support would be nice." Joey frowned.
"Yugi, Yuji, say something." Tea, and Tristan turned to said boys who blinked before they turned to Mai who grinned over towards them. While in truth, they believe in Joey, and this is a choice he should make, they had no say in what Joey should do although there friends are skeptical, Joey is trained by Solomon who taught Yugi how to duel like he is today.
But then Chie spoken up for them. "It's not them to decide." They turned to her who crossed her arms stating to them. "She's challenging Joey to a match, and it's always decided by the challenged if they accept or not. If he refuses to fight, he'll only prove her point. So now he should prove that he's ready, and let his imagination become his strength."
"Chie…" Joey whispered before nodding. "You've got a duel Mai!"
"Oh feeling emboldened by whatever nonsense that girl is saying? 'Imagination'... sounds like little kid talk." Mai scoffed over before then shrugging, "But oh well, she has her philosophy, and I have mine, and I'll be more then happy to demonstrate it."
While she walked to the stadium in the area Yuji does look a little offended. It was Chie who taught him how to duel, and he became the duelist he is, alongside the philosophy that she always talked about. Always letting there imagination become there strength, and try imagining how the duels will go. Sure it sounds like little kid talk but it has so much meaning, and feeling behind those words, where he is not gonna let anyone talk bad about her like that.
"Joey, take what Chie says to heart... like she said your imagination will become your strength, just imagine how this match will go." Yuji advised towards him.
"Right." Joey nodded as he got into position on the dueling arena.
They raised up readying to duel over while nearby Gale sighed walking into the area. Not much challenges, she expected some better people to duel against everyone here's not really scratching her competitive itch. She hopes there be some good duelists around here somewhere... there's gotta be. But she then notices Joey, and Mai about to duel while Tea, and Tristan are edging Joey on to take Mai down which she hummed walking over. "Mind if I spectate?" Revealing herself to the crowd.
"Gale?" Yugi blinked seeing her. "I didn't expect to see you."
"I was in the area." Gale explained crossing her arms before noticing Chie raising an eyebrow. "Who's this?"
"Chie... Chie Wheeler." Chie introduced offering a handshake.
"Gale Kurasuma." Gale accepts the offer shaking her hand. "You might heard of me as the Top Champion in the Regionals. This brave idiot challenged me on the boat despite never competing." She didn't mean that as in insult just a way of affection before she turned back crossing her arms. "So seeing he's about to have his first match's got me interested, and will let me see what kind of potential he has. Especially against someone of Mai's caliber."
"My brother might surprise you." Chie smiled.
"Ok Mai, ladies first?" Joey offered.
"Of course." Mai grinned.
"Field Spell: Mountain activate." Instead of the meadow/Sogen deal that Joey's monsters depend on mountains appeared all over the field.
Mountain
Field Spell Card
All Dragon, Winged Beast, and Thunder monsters on the field gain 200 ATK/DEF.
Joey frowned slightly. 'Mountains? Great that probably helps her deck.'
"Wait Mountains? What about Sogen?" Tristan widen her eyes seeing that the field spell doesn't match the meadow around them.
Mai chuckled over towards them. "I'd suppose, you don't know then. See this part of the island is halfway between meadow, and mountains." She gestured towards a mountain nearby to show them. "So this particular stadium decides on either Sogen, or Mountain, it varies between duels. Your on the bad luck side apparently as that precious Sogen you need is not on your side."
"Hey Mai, before we start I want to ask… why do you duel?" Joey asked her.
"Hm? Why'd I duel?" Mai raised an eyebrow. Then she started explaining over excitedly. "Well of course to get out of doing hard work! Travel, designer clothes, all the perks, it can bring, it's all I need just to not work at anything!"
"Seriously? You duel for such a selfish reason?" Joey frowned.
"What other kind of reason do I need?"
"Well some of us duel for more important reasons." Chie frowned over. She then pointed over at Mai. "Like people we care about! We have no need for such useless things not when we have something more important to do!"
"Whatever, it's not like you can understand." Mai shrugged before looking at Joey. "Now then talking's done, let's begin."
Joey nodded drawing his cards only to blink seeing Mai shut her eyes and out five cards facedown in front of her. "Huh, hey don't you need to pick up your cards?"
"I don't need too... I can see how this match will go with my mind." Mai grinned over closing her eyes.
"No way, she's bluffing Joey!" Tea cried.
"Yeah, no way she can win with her eyes shut!" Tristan agreed.
"Well let's do this." Joey grinned.
"DUEL!"

She takes the card, and placed it face-up where materializing was a two-legged bird man with a blue body, and green feathered wings cawing.

"No way 1800 points that fast, and she didn't even look at her card." Joey frowned.
"That's impossible... she can't really be a psychic can she?" Tristan frowned. "You're a champion Gale, do you know how she did that?"
"What about you Yugi, Yuji?" Tea asked.
They all shrugged over from this before Gale admitted. "She always manages to read her cards despite not looking. We never exactly know how she does it."
"It's pointless trying to think." Mai smirked as she moves two cards face-down to her field. "Your up kid. Try to make it entertaining."
Mai's Hand: 2/Field: Birdface (Attack Position/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1800), Two Set Cards

"Keep talking Mai, I end my turn." Joey told her.

Mai 2nd Turn:
"My turn now again." Mai takes a card, and placed it face-down without looking like her other cards. 'This guy is an amateur simple as that... so his face-downs are probably meager defenses nothing to worry over.' So with that in mind, Mai called over. "Alright Birdface show that little guy what it means to be a true creature of the skies!" Birdface screeched charging into Little Winguard who braced itself.
"Reveal trap card, Kumasi with Chain!" Joey countered. "This trap gives Little Winguard 500 more attack points!"

Little Winguard: (ATK 1400 + 500 = 1900/Equipped with Kunai with Chain)
Little Winguard raised it's arm where a chained weapon was in place of it's sword swirling it over. Then it swung over slashing across Birdface destroying it over while Mai just stares. (Mai: 3900/Hand: 3)
"That just for 100 points of damage. Really pathetic." Mai smirked over. "Especially since you helped me out."
"Huh? Helped you?" Joey questioned. "What's that mean?"
"When Birdface is destroyed, I can take Harpie Lady to my hand." Mai explained taking a card to her hand before gathering her other three cards, and shuffled them before laying them down as before randomizing Harpie Lady into them.
Joey flinched seeing that. "Come on, you can't keep dueling without looking at your cards... there's no way you know what you're playing... that last turn was just luck."
"Luck? Well why not this for luck?" Mai takes one of her not seen cards placing it. "Like Harpie Lady?"
At that a blue bra young woman with red hair, and bird claws with wings rose up screeching.

"Joey try to focus, and think before you make your move." Yugi told over towards the nervous first time Duelist.

Joey 2nd Turn:
Joey drew his card before nodding. "Alright, I'll set one monster facedown, and now Little Winguard attack her Harpie Lady!"
Little Winguard readied over before charging in at Harpie Lady who readies herself before Mai flipped her other face-down. "Mirror Wall activate!"

"Oh man, a trap card!" Joey cried out.
Harpie Lady smirked over before Mai grinned. "Let me show you how a true duelist defends. Counter attack!" Harpie Lady charged in slashing all over with her talons at Little Winguard. Little Winguard cried out as it shattered.

Mai 3rd Turn:
Mai drew placing her drawn card down. "I don't need it any longer so Mirror Wall goes." The trap on her field shattered which cleared her field of the defense she used.
Joey frowned seeing that.
"And now Harpie Lady attack his face-down! Probably just a weak monster who he thinks is cute." The monster charged at Joey's face-down slashing it.
"I play Fairy Box!" Joey called.

"I flip a coin and call it and if I'm right your monster loses all its attack points!"
"Oh your seriously gonna decide this next move on a 50/50 guessing game?" Mai questioned as a coin appeared.
"That's right, I'm calling Tails!" Joey called.
The coin flipped over as they watched before it landed on Tails.
"Awesome, thank you Lady Luck!" Joey cheered seeing that.
Harpie Lady: (ATK: 1500 - 1500 - 0)

You need to attack head on in order to win. As demonstrated!" Harpie Lady Sisters charged in for there turn against Gearfried.
Joey looked at Fairy Box before frowning as he let his monster shatter from the attack.
"Fairy Box activates again, and I'll go with Heads this time!" Joey called as the coin appeared.
The coin flipped over but this time onto tails again that Mai smirked over. "Lady Luck is on my side this time." Harpie Lady Sisters slashed all around on Gearfried.
Joey flinched. "At least my monster was in defense position so I don't take any damage."
"Maybe but with my Psychic Powers, whatever you can do will do little." Mai grinned over with closed eyes setting a card.
Man this isn't looking good for Joey. He doesn't do something soon he will lose this duel, and then lose his chance to help Serenity. He needs to calm down, and focus. Calm down, and focus...

Joey 3rd Turn:
Just then Joey detects something weird with his nose.
"Huh, what the?" Joey blinked as he closed his eyes sniffing. 'That's weird, is that her perfume? Wait... no, it smells like... a lot of scents, but why would there be...'
Suddenly his eyes shot open. "That's how you're doing it!"
"Joey?" Chie blinked over hearing that. "You know how she's doing that now?"
"Yeah, it was hard to tell but my nose started burning a little bit and when I closed my eyes it hit me." Joey answered staring at Mai. "You sprayed all your cards with different perfumes! That way you could memorize what each card smelled like and you closed your eyes you were just smelling the different perfumes, that's how you identified your cards!"
Mai's eyes widened shocked that he had managed to figure her out. "No way, how did an amateur like him see through my aroma strategy!?"
Seeing that Gale's eyes widened that he figured out her trick. "That's not bad... a bit of luck but still he figured out her strategy which isn't bad for a beginner."
"Guess Joey can find trouble with his nose." Tristan laid a wisecrack down with a raised eyebrow.
Joey drew his card as his eyes widened before taking a breath. "Alright, first I won't pay for Fairy Box just like you didn't pay for that Mirror Wall of yours."
The Fairy Box card shattered.
"Next I'll use the spell Giant Trunade!"

"Oh I know." Joey nodded. "But I've got my Axe Raider!" A yellow armored warrior with an axe rose up readying.

"'Pet'." Chie pointed over at as she stared over at the dragon.
Mai then raised an arm. "Alright my beauty! Attack with Fearsome Fire Blast!" The dragon charged up before firing over an attack at Axe Raider.
"Sorry Mai I reveal my facedown card Roulette Spider!" Joey called activating another gamble card.
Roulette Spider
Quick-Play Spell Card
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Roll a six-sided die and apply the result.
1: Halve your LP.
2: Make that attack a direct attack.
3: Choose 1 monster you control, change the attack target to it, and perform damage calculation.
4: Choose 1 other monster your opponent controls, change the attack target to it, and perform damage calculation.
5: Negate the attack, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK.
6: Destroy that opponent's monster.
"When you declare an attack I can activate this spell and roll a die, what happens next depends on the number I role."
"What are you letting luck decide how you duel now?" Mai asked raising an eyebrow. "Don't you know that luck gets you nowhere?"
"Maybe you're right, then again there's only one way to find out." Joey pointed out. "There's only one way to find out. Roulette Spider, do your thing!"
At that Harpie's Pet Spider appeared beginning to spin around the roulette as they watched over.
"All it takes is a gamble." Chie watched over.
"He has a 1/6 chance of getting what he needs." Gale spoke watching this.
The die landed on a three, before bouncing to a one, and finally spinning as it landed on a five.
"Awesome, a five! That means my spell negates your attack and you take damage equal to your dragons attack points!" Joey grinned.
"What?" Mai widen her eyes before Harpie's Pet Dragon does it's fire attack at Mai engulfing her before it faded showing she's coughing smoke.

"Joey just won the duel!" Yuji smiled seeing his kind of brother won.
"We knew he could do it." Yugi smiled watching this.
Chie smiled herself before hearing something turning where she sees Gale walking off by herself having a slight smile on her face.
"Hey!" she called to Gale.
Hearing her Gale turned over to her.
"Joey's always been lucky, but don't think that's all he can do in a match... he's a lot more skilled than you think, so don't underestimate him." Chie mentioned.
"I'll be waiting for him." Gale simply said before walking off to continue the tournament on her own terms.
"Hey Mai, that was a tough match." Joey admitted.
"How... how did I lose to such an amateur?" Mai looked so confused how this had happened, she had the experience, the skills, and the strength, so how did she lose to someone who never dueled before?
"I can tell you Mai, because unlike you I'm not dueling for myself." Joey told her. "I have someone I need to win this tournament for and I can't let her down. Though if you ever want a rematch just ask Mai... I'm always up for a duel."
He gave her a warm grin at that. Mai stared over at him surprised before then grunting taking her Deck, and handed a Star Chip to him. "I'll be back for you later. Catch you." She waved, and walked off.
Joey looked at his two star chips. "I'm one step closer to winning the prize money."
"You just need 8 left." Yugi agreed smiling over. "You done amazing for your first match Joey."
"Of course, never doubted ya." Tristan grinned over towards him. "Gale in fact already seen you so she has an advantage when you duel her now."
"I saw her take down Weevil, se we're even... still, I feel like my deck's incomplete." Joey admitted.
"Yeah it does need something. Like a spearhead card. My Forgotten Soul Ritual Dragon for my Deck, and Dark Magician for Yugi's." Yuji agreed as he shows his ritual ace while Yugi takes out Dark Magician.
"Do you have anything like that, Joey?" Chie asked Joey if he has anything that is similar.
"No, I don't have a card like that." Joey admitted frowning. "I feel like everyone's got something except me."
"You can find something for yourself. As long as you share a bond with your Deck." Yugi assured with a soft smile. "Now let's take a look around for another opponent."
"Right, it's my turn." Chie nodded.
"You Chie?" Yuji hearing that blinked. "Are you even a competitor?"
Chie reveals she has a Gauntlet, and 2 Star Chips smiling. "Yeah, I do. Was offered a chance here a while back." Joey's eyes widened in shock seeing that. Then she admitted with a smile. "I had entered this to get a chance at helping Serenity. But then I seen you all."
"Serenity?" Tristan asked hearing that. "Who's that?"
"My sister who I explained." Joey glared over which Tristan raised his hands in defense before Joey then hugged his sister. "Just careful okay Chie?"
"Yeah... if it'll get you to stop hugging me. We're in public." This is one thing Chie hates about Joey, he shows her affection in public which to her is embarrassing when she's capable to take care of herself.
"Well, where are you going to find an opponent?" Yuji asked her.
"I don't know somewhere..."
Meanwhile...
The Eliminator was with Pegasus scouting out the competition over with some holographic screens. This crop of duelists looked to be really promising as Mr. Pegasus pointed out before, the best Duelists will advance to the next round in just 2 days with elimination happening all over. They seen Yugi's victory over Weevil which they honestly expected as he had defeated Kaiba, and Weevil was only second place. Then they witnessed Gale winning some matches without much effort. This shows them they really are powerful in there own right.
But then the Eliminator notices something or rather two somethings. "Mr. Pegasus can you pause there for a second place?"
"Hmm? Croquet pause the feed." Pegasus told a man in a suit.
The man nodded pausing over before the Eliminator then pointed at a spot. "Then enlarge that image please." Croquet done so enlarging it allowing the Eliminator to see Yuji, and Chie. The Eliminator stared at them shocked like he never expected to see them. 'Yuri, and Celina? How did they get here-?' Suddenly he paused seeing the two are wearing different clothes, and that there hair certainly doesn't look like those colors. 'Wait... Yuri, and Celina have purple hair not blue... So then... are there two... they have the same face as they do? Then does that mean... this girl is also one of the ones the Professor wanted to obtain?' He stared over them before making his decision turning to Pegasus. "Mr. Pegasus, it's not the time for the Eliminators to appear yet but I would like to ask for permission to duel this girl."
"Oh?" Pegasus inquired as his eye glowed slightly. "And would it by chance be for this... associate of yours?"
The Eliminator frowned over before looking down. "Well... yes it is. I am not on his side anymore though, I just wanted to get back with my sister. Though if this girl really is who I think it is, I want to see how she can duel." He then turned to him. "Nothing too serious, just want a chance to battle her is all."
"By all means." Pegasus chuckled. "Though don't hold back, I'm interested in seeing if this girl lives up to your expectations as well."
The Eliminator nodded turning back before turning to Croquet. "Send the coordinates to my Duel Disk so I can find her please."
"Of course." Croquet nodded.
The Eliminator bowed before turning walking off. 'I know what Mr. Pegasus said... but I am not gonna get too serious with her... if she really is what I think she is, it be better for her to have a chance against me. Well only one way to find out.' He exit the room to try finding her, and exit the castle too checking his Duel Disk for directions.
It showed him that she was still where Joey Wheeler defeated Mai since there were several duelists around, likely she was looking for her own match. He walked around looking over towards the area eventually finding the group which he then proceeds to walk over carefully.
Suddenly Yuji paused while in discussion with Joey looking tensed for something.
"Huh, what's up Yuji?" Joey asked seeing that as they looked over only for his eyes to widen. "What the? Why is that guy wearing two gauntlets?"
"Gauntlets what you mean?" Tristan asked confused over to him before they noticed the Eliminator, and sees the two Duelist Kingdom Gauntlets to looked that can hold more then 10 Star Chips.
"He's not a normal competitor." Yugi frowned. "I have a feeling he works for Pegasus."
"I hope I wasn't interrupting."
Yuji narrowed his eyes seeing this was the same Eliminator that Pegasus had shown everyone at the beginning speech. "Careful guys this was the Eliminator that was with Pegasus at the start."
"You'd be correct on that. My name is Rocky Farrow, and I'm an Eliminator working with Mr. Pegasus." the Eliminator introduced himself politely to confirm that over.
"Well tough luck creep, you're not eliminating us." Joey glared at him.
"You can spare the big talk, I'm not interested into it." Rocky told them over. "Although, I'm not for all of you, just one in particular."
Yugi frowned at that as his Millennium Puzzle began to glow as he suddenly looked taller and more confident. "If it's a duel you want then very well Rocky Farrow!"
"Not you, Yugi." Rocky stated to him. He then turned over to his opponent. "I mean, her." He was looking over at Chie.
Chie's eyes widened slightly. "You want to duel me? Well alright, I accept."
"Hold on, are you sure about this Chie? It doesn't sound like you have to duel this guy and who knows what kind of trick Pegasus is planning with these Eliminators?" Joey asked as this is one of Pegasus' personal henchmen who can have some tricks.
"I'll be fine Joey, besides I need to make it to the finals too... so one of us is guaranteed to help our sister." Chie mentioned but she didn't notice Rocky's reaction.
He blinked over towards this. 'She has a sister...?' He then remembered over with narrowed eyes. 'Oh... so she, and Joey must be close, she must've meant Serenity...' He then walked jumping onto the arena. "For a special Eliminator match, the Eliminator can select one of the Universal Field Spells on hand, and activate it."
Chie frowned hearing that but she nodded going to the arena herself.
'Still... if she's doing this for Serenity... then that makes me the same... I'm doing this to find Julie, and get back to her... which makes this all the more reason to find out.' Rocky takes a cable from his side attaching it to his tablet device before a purple energy blade formed from it.
Seeing it Yuji suddenly recalls Alvis generating a similar tablet like Rocky's. Is that what Alvis called a Duel Disk? So does this mean Kaiba had given some of those to Pegasus to use?
"What's that?" Chie blinked.
"A Duel Disk." They turned to Yuji who frowned over. "Alvis had something like that in his Duel with me. Suppose to be where you duel without placing cards on a table field like what your using Chie."
"That sounds unfair." she frowned.
"Well at the very least, we're still at the same field. Technology aside, the duel is still mostly the same." Rocky spoke towards Chie before checking over the fields for whatever he can use. "And for the Field Spell here is Wasteland!"
At that the field generated a muddy area where some small rocks are shown with dead plants around them.
Wasteland
Field Spell Card
All Dinosaur, Zombie, and Rock monsters on the field gain 200 ATK/DEF.
Seeing the field Chie frowned. "You're not serious... please tell me you use Dinosaurs or Zombies."
"Why do you ask?" Rocky asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Rocky... plays Rock monsters?" Chie asked. "How on the nose can you be?"
"She... kind of has a point." Tea admitted.
They all blinked over from this over before Joey, and Tristan gave somewhat unamused looks towards Rocky who shrugged over. "Never really thought about it."
Chie sighed but shook her head. "Since you challenged me I'll pick who goes first and... I think you can take the first turn."
Rocky nodded drawing his hand.

"Okay my turn first." Rocky checks over his hand over. Seeing a strategy in hand, he nodded taking a card. "And I think I'll start with this guardian here. Stone Army of Sandstone!"
At that raising was a stone rockmade warrior shaping as a Dogu statue alongside some stone eyes staring ahead.

"Stone Army? I've never heard of those." Chie admitted.
"Well you won't forget them for a while." Rocky said before taking another card. "To help on that is the spell, Stone Formation!" The card shows Sandstone alongside lots of different versions of it that are different stones or minerals while being instructed by a large white version.

Stone Formation

Banish 1 "Stone Army" monster you control to activate this card. Once per turn, you can banish 1 "Stone Army" monster from your hand, field, or GY. If a "Stone Army" monster is Special Summoned from banishment; you can Special Summon 1 "Stone Army" monster from your Deck with a different name from that monster. You can only activate this effect of "Stone Formation" per turn.
"To activate it, I banish Sandstone from the field." Sandstone vanishes from the field over before Rocky added. "But since Sandstone is banished, I summon it back." Sandstone rose back up again to the field like nothing happened to it.

"He banishes his own monsters? That's a very unusual strategy." the mature Yugi admitted seeing that. "Be cautious Chie."
"I'll be ok, it might not be common but I can handle myself." she mentioned.
"We will see cause since a Stone Army was summoned after being banished, Stone Formation's effect lets me summon a second Stone Warrior from my Deck." Rocky explained checking over his Deck before then selecting one. "This one works. Stone Army of Obsidian!"
At that a jet-black version of Sandstone rose up beside it.

Stone Army of Obsidian: (ATK: 1400 + 200 = 1600/DEF: 1500 + 200 = 1700)
Chie's eyes widened. "That's not bad."
"Next, I activate Stone Fusion!" Rocky shows another spell activating it which is Polymerization's artwork but replaced by two Stone Army monsters as the Synchro Fusionists in blue, and orange.
Stone Fusion
Normal Spell Card
Fusion Summon 1 "Stone Army" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck by banishing the Fusion Materials from your field, hand, or GY. If a "Stone Army" Fusion monster you control is destroyed by an opponent's attacking monster or card effect: You can banish 1 "Stone Army" monster in your GY; add this card to your hand. You can only activate this effect of "Stone Fusion" per turn.
"Due to this card's effect, I can Fusion Summon a monster!"
"Huh? Fusion Summon?" While Joey is confused about this the mature Yugi, Yuji, Tea, and Chie looked shocked from this.
Rocky can Fusion Summon? That's a surprise, Ritual Summoning is more common here then Fusion Summoning, and they hardly ever seen anyone Fusion Summon, in fact Yugi's the only one who ever did Fusion Summoning out of them all. All in all the difficulty of this match just shot up.
"Wait, what's Fusion Summoning?" Tristan asked the others. "I've never heard of that, is it some kind of special Ritual or something?"
"No... Fusion Summoning is where you activate a Spell called Polymerization, and use to summon new monsters by using monsters on your field or hand. It also involves a side thing called the Extra Deck where you place Fusion Monsters in to separate them. Unlike Rituals, Fusions have the advantage of not needing to be in your hand to summon them." Yuji explained towards him, and Joey so they can understand. "In fact we haven't seen anyone else other then Yugi use Fusion in a long time, as Ritual is more normal around these days."
"Well even if this guy uses a rare kind of monster Chie can cream him." Joey grinned.
"We will see about that!" Obsidian, and Sandstone float up entering a vortex.
"Warrior of Sandstone! Warrior of Obsidian! Join forces to combine your power of tremendous proportions to a new indestructible force! Fusion Summon! Level 9! Stone Army of Granite!"
Emerging from the Fusion Vortex was a different version of the other two but this one is made of Granite which is gray with some dots all around while also appearing to be larger then the other two.

"There's more though. For every Stone Warrior banished, Granite gains 300 points." Granite glowed as it's stone body grows stronger from the two banished monsters.
Granite: (ATK: 2300 + (300 * 2) = 2900)
"That thing's nearly as powerful as Kaiba's Blue-Eyes!" Joey gasped seeing the monster.
'It might be strong, but he only has two cards and hasn't played anything facedown yet.' Chie thought. 'So either he uses up his hand or he leaves his monster unprotected... either way works for me.'
Rocky then takes a card setting it down. "I end my turn."

"I use Disciple's ability, I destroy my Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys in my hand in order to add the spell Last Hope of Nephthys from my deck to my hand where I'll activate it!" Her spell shows four Nephthys monsters including Disciple where she seems to be transforming into a new monster,

Disciple covered herself in fire charging in against Granite who got enveloped in the flames but they dissipated, and Granite has no scratches.
"What!?" Chie cried in shock seeing that.
"Granite is one of the most strongest stones available. The first time you try destroying it every turn, it doesn't do anything." Rocky explained over.
Oh this could be interesting. Rocky's monster has a destruction immunity every turn which can be hard on Chie but Yuji still feels this match could still be interesting to see as Rocky's monsters has some protection against Chie's aggressive Deck.
Chie however looked a bit nervous hearing that. "I... set a card and end my turn."

"I take a Rock monster from my Deck, and send it to the graveyard to deal 500 points of damage." Rocky checks his Deck sending a card before rock parts fall down on Chie.
She braced herself as the rocks hit her.
(Chie: 3500/Hand: 3)
"Now battle! Granite attack her directly!" Granite charged up stones before firing a large attack towards Chie.
Chie cried out as she was hit.
(Chie: 0300/Hand: 3)
"Chie!" Joey yelled out concerned for his sister seeing her at low points.
Yuji grunted over clenching his hands. 'Come on Chie, I know you can do this...' Chie had been dealt similar scenarios, and although he shouldn't worry, he does feel concerned when Chie starts losing as her aggressive tactics are hard to beat, and Rocky having a almost perfect counter looked to be an interesting opponent against it. Of course he knows Chie would just get back up, and fight back harder cause she does have skilled combos in mind.
Chie however looked hesitant, his monster couldn't be destroyed which meant her normal tactics wouldn't work and even her strongest monster only had 3000 ATK which wasn't enough to beat him... these Eliminators were in a league of their own... what could she possibly do at this point, she didn't have the answer in her deck.
Of course she then remembered, it can't be destroyed ONCE per turn. So if she nullifies it's protection, then it can be able to be destroyed so she has to use her tactics to where she can get rid of it's shield, and then destroy it allowing her to break through. So she needs to press on the attack of her destruction tactics, and then looks determined to do so.
"I end my turn with that." Rocky spoke over towards her seeing she doesn't look like she's giving up.

"Well no, but attack points don't matter with her." Yuji was the one that answered over.

Rocky widen his eyes as a large blue flaming phoenix charged in engulfing Granite which this time melted it away to nothing.

"Next time we meet up Chie, I will be stronger, and duel you again. Be sure of that." With a wave he walked off back to the castle.
"Stronger? That doesn't sound good." Yugi frowned having gone back to his smaller appearance somehow.
"Well, so far Yugi has three, Joey has two, Chie has four, and Yuji has two right?" Tea asked. "It's a start, but I know you four will all make it to the finals."
"So we better look around, and see what kind of other opponents we can find." Yuji suggested before blushing towards Chie. "And uh... great duel Chie... your still as powerful as I remembered."
