Just to give a quick explanation as to what this is, and why. As I have mentioned before, back when the Sharuby Saga was still in its earlier stages, after This Will Be Our Year had wrapped up, there were a number of cute and fluffy little scenarios for Shannon and Ruby that entered my mind, but very few of them held enough water to build actual stories around… some of them ended up being used as brief little scenes of fluffy filler in certain chapters of other stories, but most of them have remained dormant in mind all of the while. At the same time, there have also been occasions where I actually have written little drabbles and published them on this site, "just because." What I have decided to do is, rather than write and/or publish such drabbles as individual one-shots that may end up cluttering my archive, I would instead sort of repackage them, as it were, into an anthology of Sharuby Shorties. That way, whenever I feel like just writing something short, quick, and fluffy with these two cinnamon rolls, I can just add them to this collective, instead of publishing them as separate, individual one-shots.
Most things considered I do believe that Albertson and I have more or less covered just about every major milestone that Shannon and Ruby can experience in their relationship, from their first meeting and befriending each other in high school, to now being married and having adopted their son… I don't even know what else we could cover at this point. That doesn't mean that writing for Sharuby has to be given up entirely, and who says every outing featuring them has to take place within the Sharuby Saga timeline and/or head canon? Some of these shorties may still be connected in some small way, but otherwise, some of these may very well just be cute and fluffy little skits that have no connection with the Sharuby Saga timeline whatsoever, because… well, why not? Some of them may even be Sharuby takes on certain episode of the show, like I did with "Force of Habits" last year. To quote an old saying, the possibilities are endless.
So, that basically is what this publication will be: just a collection of Sharuby drabbles. There isn't going to be any sort of regularity with this; just whenever I feel like actually writing out certain scenarios that rattle around in my noggin – and those can come completely at random, as have some of the actual Sharuby Saga installments. As always, I do not take requests, but I still am open to suggestions.
For what it's worth, I am giving this anthology a 'T' rating; I feel like most of these shorties will more likely fall into 'K' or even 'K' territory, but given that these characters are still teenagers, and we all know how crazy those teenage hormones can be, I feel a that 'T' rating would be a safer and more appropriate route to go. I highly doubt I will write another lemon any time soon.
So, for starters, our first Sharuby Shorty offerings are a few drabbles I released within the last year being repackaged in this anthology – you probably have already read them before, and as such, you may not even feel like reading or reviewing them again, and that's okay. Other newer material will undoubtedly be added in time.
