Hello Everyone. Here is my new rewrite story called Medieval Adventures: The Legend of Nightfly. This is a rewrite of my previous story which was called Medieval Adventures: The history of King Charles's kingdom. The prologue will remain mostly the same although I decided to make some tweaks. I hope that you will enjoy it. :)

Long ago before the time of King Blu and King Charles, two kingdoms had struck a deal to secure peace after centuries of war. After the deal was struck, there was peace for both kingdoms for years to come as they both hoped to enjoy the peaceful times together. It appears that nothing could go wrong for either of them, because they believe nothing could possibly go wrong...or so they thought.

One day there was a male Spix Macaw called Edgar, who was having an affair with the beautiful Queen Elizabeth of a rival kingdom. The two fell in love, when Queen Elizabeth had first came to visit the kingdom as she had thought her life was going to be full of misery. After meeting Edgar, she couldn't be more happy to have finally found her one true love that she's been searching for and the one that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

The affair continued to last for three whole weeks, where they both kept sneaking into each other's bedrooms without alerting anyone. Despite all this, they both knew the one big problem that would definitely shake both of their respective kingdom's to their very core. That problem is the fact, that Edgar is a commoner while Queen Elizabeth is a royal who is already married to her husband King Harald.

It did not end well because Edgar had no idea, that he was being watched by spies sent from the King himself to expose them both. It resulted in Edgar's death, when he was brutally murdered by the King himself for the loving affair that had lasted for three weeks. The murder disturbed the Queen, although worse was yet to come for the Kingdom because word of the murder had managed to reach King Harold.

The news of murder of one of his own peasants, deeply angered Harold as he vowed vengeance on his hated enemy. The murder filled him with rage, because he doesn't like it when someone kills one of his own people as he had vowed to protect them all. It is clear to Harold himself, that war is coming as he began to prepare his own army for battle as he promised to himself that he will avenge the death of the one member of his people.

The war was very brutal indeed, both sides suffered horrible casualties as both sides continued their devastating battle. It ended with the death of two Kings, both Harold and Harald were killed in the battle with Harold being shot in the eye before being slaughtered. Harald suffered a betrayal, by one of his own Peasant soldiers who beheaded the tyrant King as well as putting the head on top of the dead King's own spike.

Three years after the war had ended, Harald's wife Queen Elizabeth was now married to a lonely blacksmith called Allan. He was a kind young Spix Macaw, who suffered very a tough past although he has now been named King due to his marriage with Elizabeth. The two would have two children together, they called their two kids John and Henry as they managed to raise their children out of their genuine love for them.

Their first son John is a kind prince, who has always deeply loved the common people of his parents well-funded kingdom. He didn't like oppression at all, because he believes in the right of the people to have freedom to do whatever they do with their own lives. It is this kind and generous nature, that puts him at odds with his own brother Henry as the two have begun having major disagreements on how to rule their future Kingdom.

It is clear to just about everyone, that Henry is a terrible prince because of how he treats those he considers to be inferior. He hasn't always been like this, because he was a innocent young prince like John before he was radicalised by his own uncle Earl Judd. The latter is the older brother of Allan, a knight who has fought his way up close to the top of society in the whole kingdom. He convinced the young Henry's, that he is destined to rule the kingdom.

Many years passed for the family, until Queen Elizabeth and King Allan had suddenly decided to enter self-imposed exile. It is because of Henry's own antics, that had put the lives of innocent people in danger as he was facing the prospect of being exiled himself. After their parents went into exile, John fought his own brother over who gets to be the next King of the Kingdom with Henry coming out as the winner before banishing his brother from the land.

John walked on for many days, when he came across a kingdom that is currently busy mourning the loss of their own King. He entered the mourning kingdom, where he saw chaos erupting between the nobles over who should be the next King as candidates were put forward. It's very clear to the young prince, that this could be his chance to rule a kingdom in a way that is similar to how his parents had ruled their formed kingdom.

A contest eventually took place, where John had managed to defeat all of the other contenders including his new rival Jonas. The latter is a beloved fan-favourite, who is loved by the people as they were hoping that he can be the new King that the whole kingdom really needed. After the contest has finished, John was crowned the new King by the bishops as the people cheered in delight in the knowledge that they now have a brighter future.

When he had first became King, John made Jonas his right-hand bird with this appointment delighting his people even more. After the honourable appointment, John began to fall in love with a beautiful woman called Lucy as they went on dates together before they got married. Lucy also became pregnant, that had resulted in the birth of their son Prince Eduardo and their daughter Princess Mimi with the people cheering in happiness at the births.

While John is now a family man, King Henry is married to his wife Queen Sarah with her giving birth to their own two children. The first child is called Robert, who respects the people along with treating them like they were a part of his own family as the people loved him for it. The second child is called Charles, who is deeply disliked by those who are living in poverty while being liked by the nobles that see this as their opportunity to grab power.

King Henry was a busy King, who preferred to go on military campaigns rather than spend any quality time with his own wife. He has a strong bond with Charles, who he saw as his favourite out of the two children that resulted in him teaching Charles about how to rule a kingdom. Henry also has an uneasy alliance, one that he forged with his own nephew that is King Eduardo with the latter being crowned King due to his father mysterious disappearance.

There was also tragedy for the new King Eduardo, when he had found out that his own mother Lucy had become terribly ill. She had been under stress, due to the loss of her husband as she had become inconsolable for some time before her son managed to help her recover. When she was became more ill however, she decided to go to one of the nearby Priory's to get the bloodletting treatment from one of the Prioress. It results in her dreadful murder, leading to Eduardo in executing the Prioress.

The years had quickly passed, until King Eduardo met the beautiful Crystal that led to dates as well as their marriage. She was a proud benevolent Queen, who deeply loves her people as she would often go on rides outside of the castle to check on them on a day-to-day basis. She treated the people well, while also eventually giving birth to a wonderful girl called Princess Jewel with her being the couple's only child as Queen Sarah offered her own congratulations to the happy couple.

A few weeks later however, Prince Robert adopted a family of Commoners who thanked the prince for such hospitality. The father is simply called Banderas, who is the deeply loving husband to his wife Jane with the two soon becoming Prince and Princess due to their new adoption. The couple have a child, who is raised alongside the two children of Prince Robert who's children are called Richard and Marion whom he had with his now deceased wife Princess Susan.

There was peace at first, until the honourable Prince was found dead by his own servants in his own bed a week later. Speculation was rife in the kingdom, often leading to the subjects pointing the blame at King Henry and his younger son Charles due to their shared hatred of Robert. Tension rapidly builds, the only reason it died down was all due to the fact the common people knew there is hope and that hope is the ever cheerful young Commoner-Prince called...Nightfly.
