Dipper could barely hear beeping, very slow beeping. During this beeping, his head was really really hurting. It didn't take long for him to black out again. Several hours later, he woke up again, and the pain came back. He then saw a red haired girl sitting right beside his bead. "Oh my God, you're finally awake" said Wendy. "What's going on?" Asked Dipper. "Where am I?" "You're in the hospital, you've been unconscious for two weeks" said Wendy. "I don't understand, the last thing I remember was having a headache in the morning, and then going downstairs to have breakfast" said Dipper. "It wasn't a headache, it was a brain tumor" said Wendy. "It got worse when you fell down the stairs, and popped it." "Your forehead split wide open, you were bleeding all over the place." "I could see through your skin, and I could see your skull." "How am I alive?" Asked Dipper. "That is actually a very good question" said Wendy. "By all accounts, that should have killed you, you were losing blood really fast." "The doctor said that if one more drop came out of you, you would be a goner." "You are very lucky, you only had a 1% chance of living." "Oh God, i'm not getting out of this hospital any time soon, am I?" Asked Dipper. "Doesn't seem very likely" said Wendy.
Several hours later, he woke up again when the lamp beside his bed turned on. He once again saw Wendy sitting beside him. "What time is it?" Asked Dipper. "It's 1:00 in the morning" said Wendy. "It's past visiting hours, I snuck in because I really need to talk to you." "Okay, what is it?" Asked Dipper. "I just want to apologize for not giving you a fair shot" said Wendy. "When I let you down gently after we got out of the bunker, I disregarded the fact that the age difference between my parents was 10 years." "Doesn't age go out the window when the couple is much older?" Asked Dipper. "You don't understand, I just found out something about their relationship" said Wendy. "They met each other long before they became adults." "They started dating when my mom was 13, and my dad was 23." "Had I known about that, I would have seen you in a completely different light." "I've had a lot of time to think about it, and I decided that this can work." "That is, if you're still interested." "After last summer, I completely gave up" said Dipper. "I thought I knew for a fact that you were beyond my reach." "But, i'm willing to try again if you are." Wendy didn't say anything. She just bent down, and kissed Dipper on the lips. After they broke away, Wendy said the words she'd been wanting to say for weeks. "I love you Dipper."
Authors note: Don't worry, Manly Dan didn't do anything inappropriate while Wendy's mother was still a kid, nor did he ever want to. Mind out of the gutter people.
