Manami was at a total shock. What was going on? It worked? She was just working on a side project for Karma, but she didn't expect this. What was this? No it didn't work as well as she wanted it to. This project was supposed to be a sort of teleportation between nations of a sort. She had been working on the project with Karma for quite sometime, but sadly it never seemed to work.
That was until now. Sadly, it didn't seem to travel much. They were in their old class building working on the project when they were teleported outside the classroom. Not very far or impressive for her. If she was going to do this, she eas going to do it right. Karma seemed alright with it, but she wasn't.
If she could, she'd drag that redhead and yell at him. Sadly, he didn't seem bothered enough to care.
Manami saw the redhead start trotting forward. "Karma-kun!" She desperately ran after the tall male. She was terrified of what could happen should she let him out of her sight. He'd probably tinker away at the machine at randon. She couldn't have that. "I wasn't gonna do anything, Manami," the male playfully stuck his tongue out as his eyes began to fill with mirth. "And again with the "kun", Manami? I thought we were over honorifics?" Karma teased the small female.
Manami stared at the redhead's deep golden eyes and replied in a calm, serious tone, "Karma-kun is too precious of a person to not respect with honorifics." Manami saw a small shift in his eyes before it was completely gone. Perhaps it was just her imagination. She then saw as he composed himself once more and teased her once again.
"So what you're saying is I don't respect you when I drop the "chan" from your name? It that what you're saying, Manami-chan?" Karma once again pressed for a flustered response. One of which he got. Her whole face had flushed red. It was redder that that of Karma's fiery hair. She stuttered her response to the smiling devil, "O-Of course n-not, K-Karma-kun! I-I-I uh was just speaking w-without thought! I'm s-so so sorry!"
The devil in disguise laughed merrily at her (what she assumed) panicked face. "Karma-kun w-was just teasing?!" Manami nearly yelled for all to hear. Karma lazily walked forward as he turned his face slightly and uttered a mirthful, "Of course!"
Manami let out a small sigh escape her before trying to catch up to the taller figure. Upon entering the building, Manami sensed a certain shift in the air. She turned to look at Karma. Gone was his teasing smile and mischievous eyes. They were replaced with his bureaucratic facade. "Keep behind me, Manami," Karma ordered her as he stepped closer to their working station. The old science lab.
"W-What's wrong, Karma-kun?" Manami managed to peer around his arm to investigate (she tried over his shoulder but that led her nowhere). There in the lab was Karma-kun and her! How was that possible?! There they were right in front of her! "How was this possible?" Manami gasped out. Karma turned to her and gave her a reassuring squeeze on her shoulder.
They seemed younger though. Back in their middle school days. Did they travel back in time? No. Manami was a woman of science. And this was not real science! This was fiction. She did not like fiction interfering with her real science. Sadly it seemed Karma came to the same conclusion. "Well, Manami, seems like we traveled back in time," Karma tilted his head as he hummed in question. "Damn, was I really that obvious?" Manami heard Karma question in what seemed like disbelief.
Manami tilted her head in question and turned to look at the younger pair in front of them. They seemed to be working on a chemical—most likely for one of Karma's pranks. Manami saw her younger self diligently work over the Bunsen burner as she animatedly spoke of its properties to the younger red head. Speaking of the redhead, he seemed to be sitting on one of the chairs as he leaned on a propped elbow on the table. He seemed to be paying close attention to her lecture as he wouldn't stray his eyes off of her.
"Even when he was younger, Karma-kun sure did love when I explained science," Manami beamed a close eyed smile at the taller male, not noticing his slight blush. "Yeah, I always will love the way you talk so passionately about science to me," Karma smiled a small, genuine smile.
Before they could say or do anything else, both of them felt a presence hover behind them. Karma carefully reached into his suit jacket and maneuvers Manami behind him as he unholsters a gun and aims in front of him. There, before both adults, stood Karasuma-sensei with a gun drawn to Karma as well. "Drop the gun," Karasuma spoke in a chilling voice. "Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?" Manami felt the chill going down her spine in fear. She knew her old teacher was scary, but it was never directed torwards them. Always at the target. She had a newfound respect for him.
Karma's eyes stared mischievously and flashed a rebellious smirk. "I don't think so, teach. What's it to say you won't shoot before I can even say who we are?" Manami stared at the protective male shielding her in shock. Was he really going to want to fight a trained Karasuma-sensei? One who won't hold back on them since he finds them a threat!
"Karma-kun, stop," Manami whispered as she lightly pushed on his right hand to lower the gun (which he surprisingly did) and walked around him to meet Karasuma. Karasuma, seeing the small female, lowered his gun slightly and gave one last menacing glare at Karma.
"Did you just say "Karma"?" Karasuma glared at the pair. "What of it?" Karma provoked as Manami gave a small, nervous chuckle. "Yes, uh sorry let's introduce ourselves. Hello, I am Okuda Manami and he," she pointed behind her at the redhead, "is Akabane Karma. And we seem to have traveled back in time, which honestly seems to be a far fetched idea."
As Manami rambled on Karma put his arms behind his head in a faux relaxed state. He was anxious it seemed. Manami turned to Karma and gave a reassuring smile. He returned it and seemed to actually relax. "How is that possible?" Karasuma questioned the pair.
Manami tried to explain everything to the older male as calmly and as easily as possible. Karasuma seemed to be taking in this information and process it with a thoughtful expression. "Seems like you just need to power the machine and leave, so why don't you?" Karasuma asked in a deadpan voice. Manami sighed in exhaustion. Karma rolled his eyes and stepped forward some.
"Because, Teach, we don't seem to have the device with us nor the technology to go with it," Karma seemed quite annoyed at the teacher's lack of understanding. "Karma-kun!" Manami scolded the male. "How about we just figure this out all together?" All three adults seemed to turn their heads at the new voice. There standing, in all his glory, was their old octopus pal. Koro-sensei.
Manami seemed to let out a small gasp while trying to hold her tears. "K-Koro-sensei?" Manami's voice trembled. "Nurf fu fu fu," the octopus laughed as he lit up with a circle indicating correct on his head, "right you are, Future Manami." She let a few tears slide down her face as she turned to Karma in a teary smile.
Karma, she saw, lowered his head as he clenched his fists at his side. Manami turned again to their old teacher and walked forward. Soon she felt herself running towards her teacher. "Koro-sensei!" Manami yelled as she hugged her teacher. She bawled out to him as she clutched him tightly. She felt her teacher hug her back and soon separated as he brought a tentacle forward to poke her forehead.
"Well seems like these tears are getting in the way of speaking," Koro-sensei said as he walked forward to Karma. "Now, Karma, no sentiment for an old teacher," Koro-sensei reached forward to pat Karma's fiery locks. He harshly pushed away at their old teacher's tentacles.
Manami clutched her hands in front of her chest. It seemed to her that Koro-sensei was still a sore spot for him. She decided to cut their awkward reunion and step forward. "Koro-sensei, will you really help us?" The octopus turned to the small female and seemed to smile wider (if possible).
"Why of course Okuda-san! I will always be willing to help my students. Whether they be from now or the future, they will always be my students." Manami smiled as the four adults soon turned their attention to the science lab. Seems like the younger pair was cleaning up. "Huh, seems like we'll introduce you both to everyone soon. We can all help you get back to your time. Of course if you can help with the assassination that is," Koro-sensei laughed as he walked toward the main classroom.
"Wouldn't have it any other way, octopus," Manami turned at Karma's voice. He seemed to have moved on from his depressive episode although she can still see a small hint of sadness in his mercury eyes. She smiled slightly before replying, "You can count on us, Koro-sensei. And we will count on you." "Well said, Okuda-san," Koro-sensei praised. "Now that that's out of the way," a new voice said, "what should we tell the little shits about them." Irina stood there in all her sexy glory.
"Oi, it's Bitch-sensei," Karma teased the blonde bombshell. Irina hissed at the older redhead while trying to hide a growing blush. "My my my Bitch-sensei, seems like you like my older appearance. You really are a pervert," Karma teased the blonde teacher.
Irina once again riled up and tried to lunge at the taller male. "Why I outa! At least I have the decency to cover it up unlike the perverted octopus there!" Irina's banshee screech was loudly heard as she motioned towards the now pink colored octopus staring at Manami. Manami's face reddened drastically as she pulled her lab coat flush to her body. "seems like you grew up well, Okuda," Koro-sensei flushed as he held a score board of 8/10. "What's with the '8/10', Koro-sensei? Why not higher?" Karma questioned as he himself held a score board of '10/10'.
Koro-sensei seemed to have composed himself a bit (no longer pink) and spoke seriously, "By all means you grew up wonderfully, Okuda-san, but I had to take points off since you are, or more like were in this case, my student." Manami smiled slightly, albeit awkwardly. "And also I prefer a bigger area up above, like Bitch-sensei here," Koro-sensei chuckled as he held a 10/10 board and dodged both Irina's kicks and punches while her screeching drew in the class's attention.
"What is going on here?" a blue haired boy called out to the group of adults. Manami stared at him. Nagisa-kun. Both Karma and Manami fell back behind the teachers in order as to not startle the class. "We have something to tell you brats," Irina spoke in a crass tone. "Does it have to do with the people behind you?" Isogai questioned. "Yes it does," Koro-sensei replied as he prepared to explain the situation when he was interrupted by a steely voice behind them. "Well well well, who are these people wearing our faces," the younger Karma sneered as he held the younger Manami behind him in a protective stance. "Man was I really that obvious?" the elder Karma huffed out in a displeased tone. Both pair looked at each other in anticipation.
"Well shall we start from the beginning?" Manami's smooth voice broke the ice.
