Chapter 54

Who's the Housewife?

Marriage can happen like miracles. For the Sakurai twins, they know that they will marry anytime they wish. However, there is one question that both are having on their mind for a while: who can be the housewife and who's the "Daddy"?

The question literally comes up when they visit Hokkaido for the week. Shizuku is alone and their parents are actually out on a business trip. They won't be back until about a month. Right now, it's just Shizuku, Kanade and Yukino. When the question came up, there is one simple solution from Shizuku.

"Yukino-onee-chan," she simply answers with a finger held up.

Kanade nods, not even surprised by this answer. "That was expected..."

"Ohhh, you're so thoughtful~!" Yukino clasps her hands together happily and hugs her little sister. "I'm the housewife~? That's what I thought as well!"

Shizuku eyes the artist. "Well?"

"Well, what?" Kanade raises an eyebrow.

"What do you think of being the 'Father'?" the middle schooler says. "Surely, I can think of some things Papas can do."

"What, like work and stuff?" Kanade says. "I can do such things, but Yuki-chan here can surely get herself a job as well since she did it before."

"It's true~" Yukino agrees.

"What about having a child?" Shizuku says. "You're going to leave Yukino-onee-chan all by her lonesome, taking care of her kid while you're out and about working?"

"Th-that's...how it usually goes, Shi-chan," Kanade sweat drops. "And we're both girls. We're not ready to have kids yet."

"If you adopt one, that is," Shizuku points out. "But I am very sure you two will figure it out on your own." She turns to the sandy blonde. "Yukino-onee-chan, what do you think of being the housewife?"

"I don't mind, really~" Yukino says. "But the most important part about family is that we all stick together, just like how we are right now. No matter how much the husband works or the housewife does all the chores, in the end, family sticks together."

Shizuku nods, squeezing Yukino's arm. "You two better remember that. Because if I hear that my stupid sisters are either lazy financial wise or Kanade-onee-chan leaving Yukino-onee-chan out to dry, I will know. And you two would get a very hard lecture from me."

Kanade and Yukino sweat drop from this. Shizuku is serious about it.

"Well, here comes another question," Kanade says.

"What is it?" Shizuku asks.

Kanade and Yukino exchange looks and give a nod. They turn to their little sister.

"What does it make you, Shi-chan~?"
