Vixen was sitting on the outskirts of Pepper City, or what used to be Pepper City. After Cell's absorption of the former residents the city was nothing more then a ghost town now. She had witnessed situations like this before, desolated planets and villages where no one survived, but this was different. Vixen had never cared about the inhabitants of a village or planet before coming to Earth. Goku had changed all of that for her.

Her mind was wandering this night, and she did not know why that was. In six days the Cell Games would begin, and she was more then ready to begin her fight to save Earth once more, but there was a strange feeling playing at her heart and soul. Was Cell really as evil as he seemed? Doctor Gero created him after all, just like all the other androids, and just like all the other androids he was programmed to be a destructive killing machine. His only reason for living was to acquire perfection, and thanks to Vegeta he had fulfilled his purpose.

Hardening her will Vixen stood and flew off towards the direction she sensed Cell. If the others learned of her torn feelings regarding Cell there was no way they would let her compete in the match. As she closed in on Cell's location she noticed first a large stone ring in the middle of a far off desert. Standing in the center of the ring was Cell himself. Not bothering to hide her energy Vixen landed a few feet from where he was standing.

"You're early Vixen," Cell stated simply, his eyes closed and his arms folded.

"I didn't come here to fight," she replied, "I wanted to ask you something."

At this Cell opened one eye and smiled, "And it couldn't wait six days? Go on then, I'm listening."

Vixen held Cell's gaze for a moment. His deep purple eye held no ill will towards her, and she could sense that from him. She could feel her heartbeat quicken, and felt her face begin to grow warm.

"Why do you want to destroy Earth at all? You obtained perfection, why not just fight for sport or leave Earth all together?" she asked, hoping Cell could not see her blushing face in the moonlight.

Cell opened his other eye and replied, "Did you forget my other purpose, the one to kill Goku?"

"No, but that was not the main reason why you were created. You told me yourself that your sole reason for living was to become perfect, now that you have you don't need to prove yourself any further," Vixen explained.

Cell considered this for a moment. He was about to reply when he took notice of Vixen for the first time that night. For once she was not on guard, and she trusted him not to attack her. Suddenly another thought entered his mind. He had always regarded Vixen as beautiful, the cells from Goku and Vegeta were enough to tell him that, but seeing her now bathed in moonlight caused something to spark inside him. As he stared at her he could only assume what it was he was feeling for the girl.

"I hope you didn't come here just to beg with me to spare the Earth," he replied, putting a little emphasis on his words.

Vixen saw his smile widen, and cursed herself for coming here at all, but she started the conversation, she may as well see it through to the end.

"What if I had? You are an exceptional fighter Cell, it would be a shame to see it wasted just because the Saiyan blood in you wants a challenge," she pleaded, "Fight for the feel and taste of it, but stop killing innocent people."

Cell was silent as he listened to her. He watched her every movement, and when it was his turn to reply he remained silent. She had come to him to actually beg him not to go through with his plans. A Saiyan who was practically on her knees begging him not to destroy her friends and home. The spark formed inside of him once more, and he made the decision to see just how far she was willing to go.

"Say I don't destroy Earth," he started as he began walking towards her, "what exactly am I supposed to do with myself? The cells that make up who I am demand some kind of dominance. Frieza and Vegeta are to thank for that. If I don't destroy this world then what's to stop me from destroying other worlds? Could you live with that on your conscience Vixen?"

He was right next to her now. Vixen could not answer him as he stood before her. She thought her heart was going to burst from her chest at any moment. Of course she would not be able to live with herself if other worlds were destroyed. Cell should just be destroyed instead, but then why was she here talking to him in the first place? He had murdered so many innocent people, so why was she concerned with his well being?

"Vixen," Cell began, and then stopped with a smile.

Cell could see very plainly now that he was right next to her that her face was burning red. He could almost hear her heart pounding against her chest. She was not looking at him, but instead looking at the ground next to him. He wanted to change that. Carefully as to not alert her he lightly gripped her chin with his hand and brought her face up to look at his.

Moonlight filled Vixen's eyes as she stared into the deep violet pools of Cell's. Where she was cloaked with moonlight he was nothing more then a shadow. He was still smiling at her through the silence. As she stared at him she realized how much she desired to see the smile on his face. It made him look almost guiltless to his crimes.

"Why did you really come here?" he questioned.

Vixen could not get her words to form. She wanted to stop him from destroying Earth, but as she stared into his eyes everything around her melted away. Closing her eyes she brought her lips up to Cell's. Surprised by how warm they were she brought a hand up to his neck and put the other against his chest.

Cell's smile faded as he let his eyes fall closed. Strangely his body knew exactly what to do in such a situation. His arms circled Vixen's delicate body, and soon the two were in each other's embrace. Cell's tongue played at Vixen's lips before she allowed him permission to explore her mouth.

Several moments later Vixen broke away from him in shock. The two did not utter a word as Vixen flew away from him. She did not get more then a mile before Cell teleported himself in front of her. In her state she did not sense him, and it was only as she crashed into him that she realized he had followed her. Her struggles against him disappeared as Cell brought his lips against Vixen's once more. All thoughts of wrongness and betrayal were wiped from her mind as Cell's strong body embraced her again. She felt safe with him, something she had not felt in a long, long time.
