The Kids Help Out

Once the council was adjourned, Shippo and Rini hurried to meet up with the rest of their friends at their secret clubhouse. They made it to the hidden cave at Half Moon Pass and opened the hidden door leading to the entrance. Rini closed the door behind them and Shippo voiced the password. "Paradise is hidden." The door opened and he and Rini stepped into the elevator. The elevator descended and the door opened.

"Hey, everybody, sorry we're late," Rini apologized as she and Shippo stepped out. "All the heroes were called together for another meeting."

"I know," said Mokuba. "Seto told me before we got here, so it's all good."

"What was the meeting about this time?" Kohaku asked.

"Yugi and the others informed us that Frollo was defeated and Paris is safe," Shippo was saying. "Now only three Dark Masters remain."

"He also said that with the Dark Masters wanting to take over all of the worlds, it's possible there could be a war," Rini added.

"That's what I was afraid of," Mokuba muttered.

"The Dark Masters are formidable," Leon admitted. "Take it from us. We were there during the battle at Notre Dame and Frollo was relentless."

Rebecca agreed. "After what we went through with him, it's no wonder he's a Dark Master."

Mokuba looked at the board where the pictures of the Dark Masters were posted. "But now that Frollo is out of the picture, the question is, who will be the next Dark Master for us to face?"

Rebecca adjusted her glasses. "Well, my speculation is that since Maleficent is the leader, she'll more than likely be the last. You know how leaders are. They use their colleagues as well as their lackeys to learn about their enemies before taking matters into their own hands."

Mokuba agreed with his girlfriend. "That leaves us with a 50:50 probability between Jafar and Hades."

"And those guys are really powerful," Leon said, going by his own experiences from watching the films and playing the Kingdom Hearts games.

The three friends began singing. Dark, Dark, Dark, Dark Masters

The evil Dark, Dark, Dark, Dark Masters

They're mean and cruel and dangerous, Rebecca sang.

They're scary and they're 'strangerous', Mokuba added.

And they could 're-arranger' us, Leon added.

Together, they all sang, The four Dark Masters

Dark, Dark, Dark, Dark Masters

Those awful Dark, Dark, Dark, Dark Masters

We battled one and that's enough

For us to know they're really tough and capable of evil stuff

The four Dark Masters

Leon took his turn and sang, They could be lurking around anywhere

In the night

The dark of night, Labramon sang.

Mokuba took his turn and sang, Always sneaking around here and there

Looking for a fight

Anyone to fight, Guilmon sang.

Together, they all sang, With glowy eyes and evil laughs

And really scary smiles

With magic spells and wicked schemes

Always worth their while

And giving nightmares so you can never sleep

The four Dark, Dark, Dark, Dark Masters

We hate those Dark, Dark, Dark, Dark Masters

If we had powers, we'd fly up

And say their time was high up

And then we'd say 'goodbye', yup

To those Dark Masters, Dark Masters

All of the club members looked at one another. "The more you talk about the Dark Masters, the scarier they sound," said Rin.

"I guess we're all afraid of the Dark Masters," said Kohaku. Then it dawned on him. "Hey, wait a second. Now that Frollo has been dealt with, doesn't that mean that Quasi is free from him?"

Mokuba smiled and said, "It certainly does."

Rin's smile brightened up. "That means he doesn't have to stay confined in the bell tower. He can come and see us whenever he wants to."

"And we can visit him without ever having to worry about Frollo," Guilmon added.

"We should invite Quasi over here," Olivia suggested. "We already told him about this clubhouse. Now we can show him and make him an honorary club member." All of the friends began chattering in agreement.

Mokuba told everyone to be quiet. "Okay, settle down," he said, and they all silenced themselves. "I understand your excitement, but let's not rush things. I want to invite Quasi over as much as you guys do, but right now, he needs time getting used to being a part of his world."

Rebecca agreed. "He's been kept in the bell tower all his life and was just accepted into society after proving himself a hero in our battle against Frollo. Let's give him time."

"But he's one of us," Rini protested.

"I know, but I don't want to rush him," Mokuba said again.

"For now, let's just give him the time he needs," said Leon. "He'll come to us when he's ready. Besides, Quasi did promise us he would come to the Secret Garden once in a while. It's likely we may see him around."

All of the club members liked the sound of that. They agreed to keep being patient for a little while longer and that they would support the hunchback.
