Chapter 5
Tony picked up the phone immediately but realise that he was too late. Catherine had hung up the phone just as he picked it up, resulting in a devastating lost for the team. He also noticed that it was not the first time she had tried to call him.
"We need to keep your phone monitored Tony and clearly you know the girl, so I want information and so help me if you get personal into this case you will be off the case faster than you can get a coffee" Jethro answered demandingly. But Jethro didn't know half of what what's going on.
He knew he had two dead bodies in autopsy, a missing teenager and an unsolvable case. So far the only suspects he had were the parents, Sirius Black and a guy called Remus Lupin which nobody could find or get a hold of. He also knew that Tony was keeping something from him, more than knowing Catherine, it was something regarding the burn marks and the shock on his face when he saw it. He could clearly see that Tony was trying to hide it away from the team as he had quickly hidden his expression and hoped nobody had seen it at the crime scene, but Jethro Gibbs had spotted it.
Everybody in the office knew the relationship between Gibbs and Tony and everybody knew if there was tension between them. So when people walked into the office, they tended not to annoy either of them first thing in the morning or late at night. The only problem was this was neither time but tension between them was high. Tony was keeping vital information from Gibbs and damm did everybody know about it. Gibbs was snapping more at people, even his team. All because Tony would not tell him what was going on.
Tony
Tony was indeed keeping information away from his team. He couldn't inform his team that magic was involved as none of them were part of the wizarding world. He also couldn't tell them about the dark Lord Voldemort that was active in the United Kingdom, mainly the Scotland area. However he could tell them what was really going on to some degree.
Tony finally sighed in his chair before speaking to his team, looking at Gibbs whilst speaking.
"From the information that I'm willingly going to share, you need to listen closely as I'm only saying it once. It all started when Harry James Potter was declared the boy who lived. All of James and Lilys attention was shifted to their son and their daughter was forgotten. I hope you're ready to hear what has got to be said. At first when everyone had survived the attack it was okay but then it all changed after little Catherine asked why everyone tried to touch her feet. James and Lily started hating their little girl because she was getting marriage contracts and more attention than Harry did. Not long after that little Catherine contracted something genetic, but it damaged her lungs badly. She couldn't run far and eventually lost a lot of weight because of it. When she was four years old the day before her birthday, James and Lily declared to the press and to their close friends that their daughter had indeed passed away that night. But little Kitty didn't die that night, she was put in an orphanage and later adopted into the Cullen family making her Catherine Cullen. Now I'm going out, don't follow me or I'll make you regret it." Tony demanded lastly.
Everyone was still in shock. Nobody had spoken like that, especially Tony to the team in a while. More like nobody had the guts to do so.
Tony arrived at the Kitty Dinozzo liar, by foot. He knew if he took his phone or favourite car then it would have been tracked. As he entered the small entrance on the side of the building, he noticed Kitty's (short for Catherine, only Tony calls her that) bike perched against the crumbling wall.
"Kitty it's me Tony are you here?" He called out but no answer came to him. Tony knew that she would likely be hiding after all, finding out your only parents you knew are dead is a big shock to anyone.
As he crawled in further to the next room, he then saw under a pile of all the Blankets and pillows a black teddy bear. This was no ordinary bear, this was Patch the bear, the bear which Kitty never went anywhere without it near her.
Catherine
The bear was given to Catherine when she was a child, it was mainly to replace the missing panda that got thrown into the local river. As Catherine hid further into the blankets she just wanted this nightmare to end. She wanted it to go back to last week. Where she didn't know she was adopted and she didn't hate her parents…..who were now dead.
"GO AWAY!" Catherine screamed knowing full well it was Tony
"Kitty, little Cat, I need to keep you safe and I cannot let you leave and I certainly cannot leave you." Tony stated slowly edging closely.
"You don't get it do you? I find out I am a stupid witch, my parents are dead and my birth family want nothing to do with me because I am not the boy-who-lived. They don't even know the full truth at all. I bet you knew who I was, the moment you saw me and my family moved in. That's why you befriended me" Catherine screamed with tears rolling down her eyes.
"Little Kitty, I befriended you because you reminded me of myself when I was a child. You were rebellious and you had an attitude like no end. You made me giggle the moment you walked into my life. Do you remember what you did to me the moment you and your family moved into the apartment next door to mine? You filled a glitter bomb in my mailbox and put cat treats in my shoes which I still to this day do not know how you got into my apartment. You made my day that day and I would never change it for the world even if Mcgoo or Zivvva tried to persuade me to change my mind, I wouldn't. Okay trust me little Kitty I am not leaving you and I certainly am not going to leave you know when you need me the most!" Tony stated
"Do you mean it?" Catherine stated in a small voice
"Yes, now little Kitty let me protect you" Tony said holding his hands out.
