Chapter 18 In the Library
Bennet's POV

I walked into the library, where I was greeted by Lisa.

"Why hello there, Sweetie", she greeted. "It's rare to find you in the library."

"Hi there, Lisa", I greeted. "I'm here to find the Teyvat Travel Guide. One of my dads suggested that I read it as it could help me on future adventures."

"I see", Lisa said. "Wait here for a moment. I'll quickly go and get it for you. Be right back."

"Thanks Lisa", I said before she left.

As I waited for her to come back, I looked around the library. After looking for a bit, I spotted a familiar face reading a book by of the tables.

"It's Fischl", I said to myself happily.

Then, I raised my arm up and started waving frantically at her.

"Hey, Fischl", I loudly yelled out, which resulted in almost everyone in the library shushing me.

"Uh…sorry about that, everyone", I apologised as my cheeks turned red.

Then, I heard a giggle. I turned around, and saw that Lisa had returned.

"I am so sorry that I was so loud, Lisa", I apologised as I held my hands together out in front of me.

"It's alright, sweetie", Lisa reassured me. "Being in love can sometimes cause someone to act without thinking."

"Y…yeah", I said, my cheeks now turning bright red for a different reason.

"Anyway", Lisa started, before holding up a book. "Here's the Teyvat Travel Guide. Make sure to return it on time, okay?"

"Will do", I said, before taking the book. "Thank you, Lisa!"

"No problem, sweetie. Farewell."

After saying this, Lisa turned around and left.

Then, something suddenly flew up to me, and I jumped back in shock.

"Oh", I said when I realised who it was. "Hey there, Oz."

"Greetings, Herr Bennet", Oz greeted. "Mein Fräulein has asked me to call you over to the table she is sitting at."

"Got it", I said excitedly.

Then, I rushed to the stairs, started running down them…and ended tripping and tumbling the rest of the day down.

"Bennet", I heard Fischl exclaim as I heard footsteps rushing up to me. "Are you okay?!"

"Yep", I replied as I quickly jumped back onto my feet.

"You're forehead is bleeding", Fischl exclaimed in a panicked tone.

I then touched my forehead and looked at my fingers, which indeed now had blood on them.

"Oh, I am", I said.

Then, Fischl grabbed my hand and pulled me to the table she was sitting at. After we sat down, she took out her handkerchief and began wiping my forehead.

"You know, my beloved", she started. "There was no need for you rush to my side like that."

"Sorry", I apologised as I put my hand behind my head. "I was just excited to see you."

When I said this, Fischl's cheeks turned pink.

"Who knew you could say such sweet words, my beloved", she asked, before changing the subject. "Anyway, what brings you here? This is a place where mortals come to read tomes filled with stories and knowledge. It doesn't seem like the type of place you would come to."

"One of my dads suggested that I read the Teyvat Travel Guide", I revealed. "So I came here to borrow a copy."

"Ah, I know of that tome", Fischl revealed. "When I first arrived in this world, I read the information held inside in order to learn more of the land I had found myself in."

"Really? That cool!"

After I said this, I turned to look at the table, and saw the book Fischl was reading earlier.

"Speaking of which", I started. "I'm sorry I interrupted you from the book you were reading."

"There is no need for you to fret, my beloved", Fischl reassured me.

"What were you reading anyway", I asked.

Then, I began reaching for the book on the table.

"That's…", Fischl started suddenly.

But before she could finish, I picked up the book, and when I looked at its cover, what I saw took me by surprise.

"Fischl, the person on the cover of this book…looks just like you!"
