Just twenty-four hours ago, her entire world was turned completely upside down, and she has no idea what happened. No, scratch that—Elena knows exactly what happened. She just doesn't understand why her husband of ten years would cheat on her with his secretary. Even worse, she kind of wishes she hadn't seen it when she walked into his office. Now that she has, the image of her husband and his secretary bending over his desk is forever burned in her mind.

Walking downstairs into the kitchen, the first person she noticed was her aunt standing by the stove. "Good morning, Aunt Jenna," Elena said with a yawn as she walked over to the coffee machine and poured herself a cup. Then, she walked over to the kitchen table and sat down.

"Good morning, how did you sleep last night?" Jenna asked as she walked towards the table and set a plate of food down in front of Elena. Then she walked back to the coffee machine and poured herself another cup of coffee.

"Not well." Elena answered bitterly as she took a couple of sips of her coffee before taking a few bites of her breakfast. Noticing her cell phone vibrating against the kitchen table, she looked over her screen and noticed his name flashing across it. Elena shook her head and quickly shut her cell phone off for now.

Jenna noticed Elena shutting her cell off. She then cleared her throat. "So how is your bookstore going?" She asked as she took a sip of her coffee and walked towards the table, sitting down across from her.

Elena exhaled deeply as she shrugged her shoulders. "It's going good so far. I've just ordered some new books that should be coming in this afternoon, actually." She said as she took a bite of her omelet before taking another drink of her coffee. Elena has been running her own bookstore for a few years now.

"Ooh, what kind of books?" Jenna asked, excited to know that Elena had ordered new books. Jenna always loved reading new books whenever Elena ordered them for her store.

"I've been so distracted lately that I honestly don't remember what I ordered. I think I ordered some new Mystery and Thriller books." Elena answered as she finished her breakfast and got up and walked towards the sink to rinse her plate and cup.

"Elena, you should know that he called here last night, looking for you," Jenna said as she watched her niece.

Elena quickly turned around. "You didn't tell him that I was here, did you?" she asked. "Aunt Jenna, please tell me that you didn't mention that I was here." Elena said as she was starting to panic. The last thing Elena needs is for her husband to come here looking for her.

"No, of course not. I told him that we haven't seen you since last weekend. Elena, what happened last night?" Jenna asked softly. Last night, Elena showed up at Jenna and Alaric's door in the middle of the night with suitcases, asking if she could stay with them for a few days.

Before Elena had a chance to answer Jenna's question, Alaric walked in. "Good morning," he said as he leaned down and kissed Jenna, then walked towards the coffee machine and poured himself a cup.

"Good morning, Uncle Ric," Elena said with a smile as she looked over at the time displayed on the microwave. "I gotta go, guys," she said as she grabbed her cell and waved her aunt and uncle goodbye before walking out of the kitchen and heading out the front door.

"Did she seem okay to you?" Alaric asked Jenna as soon as Elena walked out the front door.

Jenna just shrugged her shoulders. "I honestly don't know. But I like to believe so." She answered as she finished her coffee.

Today at the bookstore wasn't too bad really. It was busy but not too busy which Elena didn't mind since she wasn't really in the mood to deal with a lot of customers today. After the last customer walked out of her bookstore, Elena walked away from the counter and went into the back to grab the box of new books she ordered.

Walking back to the front Elena saw April Young who also works at the bookstore with Elena walking through the door with lunch from the Grill." Did you get my order?" Elena asked as she took her container and walked towards the little couch Elena had set up in the corner of her bookstore.

" Yes, chicken salad with dressing on the side." April answered in confirmation as she followed Elena towards the couch and set two drinks on the table.

" And my ice tea?" Elena asked before taking her drink.

April nods her head." Yes of course." She said as she grabbed her lunch which was a turkey sandwich and a lemonade as she sat down in the chair. Both Elena and April were eating their lunch when April looked up and noticed Elena's husband walking through the bookstore.

Elena was wondering what April was staring at. As she looked over and then sighs with irritation as she set her lunch down and got up and walked towards him and then grabbed him by his arm and pulled him to the side.

" What the hell are you doing here?" Elena asked as she hissed angrily.

" I was hoping we could talk. I've been trying to call you since last night."

Elena just shrugs her shoulders." I really got nothing to say you and whatever you gotta say, I really don't want to hear it."

" Come on Elena, please don't be like that." Tyler said as he grabbed Elena by her wrist and pulled her closer to him." Let's just go into the back and talk about this privately." He said softly as he looked into her eyes as he was hoping that she would take him up on his offer.

Elena steps back as she pulled her wrist out of his hand." There's nothing to talk about. It's over between us." She said as she crossed her arms over her chest once more as she meant every word she said.

" What is that supposed to mean?" Tyler asked as he could feel himself getting angry.

Elena exhales deeply and without hesitation she answered his question." I want a divorce. "

AN: New Delena story. First Chapter is short. But don't worry though it's only the beginning and most chapters will get longer as it process. Also this will be a slow burn since I don't want to rush into anything. But don't worry our couple will be together one way or the other. Oh one more thing even though this is a Delena story, other characters from Vampire Diaries will be part of the story and I will pick my own pairing.
