A/N: So this chapter is going to explore some of my personal, as well as the DnD/Pathfinder concepts of what neutral really is. It is just for the story. Also, it will introduce a new area of the Dragonscape and expand on Dogal's character since up till now, he has the least amount of appearances. It will also briefly cover the alignment system of DnD/Pathfinder.
The real reason why Ryuko dropped Momo's recommendation will also be reveal this chapter.
Also, shout out to MizuToriFFn/ MizuTori, author of Izuku x Momo story "Thank You" and JKnaer1005, author of "The Boy with Nothing and the Girl with Everything" whose stories gave me inspiration for how to write Momo is this one. Check out their stories when you have a chance, they're awesome.
Chapter 18
Neutrality
"Do not believe for a second that a metallic dragon will not kill you, much like a chromatic dragon, if you stand in the way of its goal"- Unknown.
"Mom, can I get Ryukyu's number?", Izuku asks as he walk through the door.
"Oh? What for?", Inko asks back as she prepares dinner.
"I want to ask her a few things", came the answer.
"Okay, then one moment", his mom says as goes to get her phone.
A little while later, Izuku was having another embarrassing dinner with his mom asking him questions about the beach which he answers though he avoids mentioning anything in regards to Toga and Yaoyorozu. The former was due to his mom might not take too kindly to knowing that he was sharing a beach with a girl who hurt so many people and the latter being because even Izuku himself thought it would not be a good idea to tell his mom that he made a girl cry even though she did kind of start it.
Eventually though Izuku found himself in his room sitting at his desk reading through the Yaoyorictionary and after only five minutes of doing so….
"Holy crap", he said aloud, "This is amazing."
This...well calling it a mere book would do it a disservice.
There were pages upon pages of hundreds of different items that Momo has created along with the materials that she also had to create to construct them. She had even written down how long it took to create something and from where was the ideal spot to create it from.
Surprisingly, and to Izuku's embarrassment, it seems that her chest area was the most ideal place to draw items from.
"This...encyclopedia puts all my Pro Hero notebooks to shame", he says as he looks at the metal bar on his desk. Using his computer, he looks up a picture of a high-grade metal bo staff and after analyzing it and compare to the one he had, he concluded that Momo's bo staff would have been identical to the best made ones created by companies and professional blacksmiths.
Another thing that caught his eye was the detail exercise routine she had wrote down along with a diet plan she use to keep herself in top shape and her fat cells level at the most efficient. The amount of research she must had put into this was mind boggling.
"She really knows have to keep a tight schedule", Izuku thought, comparing her exercise regimen to that he and Kendou had been doing at the beach for the past two days.
"Though there is still one thing I have to verify first", Izuku thought as he dials the number his mother gave to him.
"Hello, this is the Pro Hero Ryukyu, the Soaring Hero of Okinawa", Ryuko says as she picks up the phone.
"Ryukyu, this is Midoriya."
"Midoriya? Is everything alright?", Ryuko asks.
"Everything is fine, Ryukyu. I just have some questions I want to ask you", Izuku says.
"Well, I'm on patrol right now flying over downtown so it will have to be quick", Ryuko says.
"You patrol at night?", Izuku asks.
"That is usually the time most crime happens and I have night vision", Ryuko laughs.
"Can't argue with you there", Izuku admits, "So Ryukyu can see in the dark as well? That's something."
"What questions did you want to ask?", Ryuko says.
"They are in regard to Yaoyorozu", Izuku says.
….
….
"Did something happen?", the heroine asks after a moment even though she was already fully aware of everything that transpire today due to the drone surveillance.
"Well, I ran into her at the beach I was at today", Izuku starts and as much as he wanted to tell Ryukyu about his improvise training, he suddenly felt that with everything going right now, the less she knew the better.
If only he knew.
"And what happen?", Ryuko asks, feigning ignorance.
"Some things were said that maybe shouldn't have been said", Izuku says.
"And what does calling me have to do with that?", Ryuko asks.
"I just wanted to know how Yaoyorozu got her recommendation from you in the first place, if you're alright with telling me of course", Izuku says.
On the other end of the line, he hears the Pro Hero let out a breath, "Fine, I'll tell you. First off, it wasn't long after I got into the Top Ten and I started getting letters from her and that caught me off-guard.
"Really? Why's that?", Izuku asks.
"Because Yaoyorozu was only ten years old when she sent me her first letter", Ryuko answers.
"What?"
"I was getting letters from a ten-year-old girl who was respectfully requesting a recommendation from me so she could attend U.A. in five years", Ryuko explains.
"Well, I can see how that must have been odd", Izuku says.
"You don't understand, Izuku, it only increased from there. For two years I would regularly receive letters, pictures, and videos from her showcasing her quirk and all the things she could create and I have to say I was impressed, especially from someone as young as her", Ryuko admits.
"Sounds like she was dedicated to getting your vote", Izuku says.
"She was and that what surprise me. She is the heir of the Yaoyorozu family, one of the most pure-blooded Japanese family around. They could trace their lineage all the way back as nobles during the time of the twenty-ninth Japanese Emperor and possibly before that Meanwhile, I just got done with reaching the Top Ten and her first letter came right after my first appearance at the ranking's announcement", Ryuko says.
"Wait a minute? Was that the one where you….?", Izuku says.
"The one where I proudly and publicly declare to the whole nation that I was Ryukyuan and not Japanese", Ryuko finishes as she remembers back to that night, "The backlash from that was so huge that I was honestly surprise they didn't strip me of my rank and license out of pure spite."
"So, when the daughter of one of the most prestige Japanese family suddenly starts writing you to get your recommendation…", Izuku says.
"I couldn't help but think that it was some kind of prank so at first I refuse to give it to her. But she didn't quit and kept asking and sending me stuff to show that she was serious. Eventually she impressed me so much that that I finally decided to officially give her my recommendation. I don't recall ever seeing someone so happy before when I arrived personally at her family's mansion in Nagoya to tell her.", Ryuko says.
"Did she ever…. try to bride you for your recommendation?", Izuku asks.
"No and that caught me off-guard as well. Despite being from such a wealthy family, she never once tried to bride me nor did her parents", Ryuko admits, "As I'm sure you are aware, that practice has been growing in recent years."
"I have heard rumors", Izuku confirms, "Two more questions, Ryukyu."
"Ask away."
"What really was your reasoning behind dropping her recommendation? You said it yourself that you did it before you even met me so I'm just curious", Izuku asks.
Ryuko lets out a breath, "She simply refuse to heed my advice after a while. Advice that would save her life out in the field as a Pro Hero."
"That was it?", Izuku asks.
"Remember the whole thing with you and staying in the car?", Ryuko asks, "If you would have done that than more than likely you wouldn't had tangle with Sera for Takako was following the protocol I had previously establish in that your safety will always come first."
"Oh."
"When I give people advice, I don't do it just to hear myself talk. If someone refuses to listen to me when I'm trying to help then I see no reason to waste my time. She turned down my advice too many times, always thinking that she knew better because she ran scenarios inside her head or on a computer and thought she was prepared for anything. Unfortunately, that is a common side effect of people who have a powerful quirk, they think they can take on the world", Ryuko says.
"Whoa", Izuku says while wondering if he might turn out like that, "Hopefully not."
"I'm strict, Midoriya, but I'm also fair. I gave Yaoyorozu warning after warning but she refuses to heed them and one day I simply had enough, so I dropped my recommendation in hopes that it would teach her a lesson but you and I both have seen how well that's going", Ryuko continues.
"I see", Izuku says, "I will need to tread carefully once training starts."
"You had one more question for me I believe", Ryuko says.
"Yeah, I do", Izuku recalls, "Would you ever give Yaoyorozu her recommendation back?"
"That's a tough question to answer", Ryuko answers.
"But what if she changes her ways and actually listen to you?"
….
….
"If she was to actually change her ways and heed my advice then I would at the very least consider giving it back", Ryuko says after a moment of silence, "I'm going to have to cut this call short. I think I see a car theft in progress."
"Be safe, Ryukyu!", Izuku says.
"Have a good night, Midoriya", Ryuko says before hanging up, leaving the boy alone with his thoughts.
"So, you are finally realizing that you have might have misjudge Yaoyorozu?", Dogal asks as he appears on Izuku's bed, curl up in a sleeping position.
"Yeah, I really put my foot in my mouth today. But I was just so angry about her putting me down", Izuku confesses.
"To be fair, she was unjust in doing that in the first place without knowing your full story as well", Dogal says.
"You're not wrong there", Izuku says before turning to face the dragon, "Actually, I'm glad you're here for I have some questions I want to ask you now."
"Oh? Then ask away", Dogal says as he uncurls himself.
"This is going to seem to come out of nowhere but every one of the other dragons has "attach" themselves to one of the girls that have suddenly enter my life and have been annoying me to no end in regards to my relationship with them without considering what I want", Izuku says, "But I can't help but notice that you might have something of an attachment to Yaoyorozu but have done nothing of the sort."
"One of the many things about my alignment is leaving people to their own devices without interfering", Dogal says, "But I would like to also point out is that all I said in regards to Yaoyorozu is that you should be wary of her; I did not "attach" myself to her."
"And what about now?", Izuku asks.
"Well now that you have actually learn a thing or two about her you can be a little less on edge in her presence…. after you apologize, of course, if that is the course you want to take", Dogal says.
"Would it be the best course? For me to apologize to her?", Izuku wonders.
"Do you feel that you owe her an apology? My alignment is neutral after all, the alignment that best represents Yaoyorozu, so it really does not matter to me whether you do or not."
"So the best course would be to do nothing?", Izuku questions, "That is what being neutral means, doesn't it?"
"That could not be further from the truth", Dogal began, "The funny thing about neutrality is that it does not have a defining nature like the other four alignments. Being neutral does not necessary mean that you do nothing. It could also mean that you can move toward one of the other alignments depending on the situation you find yourself in but you will not stay too long on that path before switching back to neutral. Neutral is a balance that keeps the alignments intertwined and acts as a mediator, a middle ground, if you will, but every now and then it is allow to pick sides just not permanently and only if said side suits a goal."
"How so?", Izuku asks.
"Take the country of Switzerland for example. That nation claim neutrality no matter what but if a big enough threat arises, staying neutral might not be in their best interest for in the long run for even a neutral align country would prefer good neighbors over evil ones", Dogal answers, "Another concept of neutrality is about doing what you believe is the best idea at the time, without any prejudice or beliefs to cloud your judgment. You might be fine with the evil route one day because it helps you reach your goal but the next you might take the lawful route because the evil one no longer benefits you."
Izuku stay silence as he tries to process everything Dogal was telling him.
"Now take Yaoyorozu. When you insulted her pride, she went through a number of emotions in a very short time span that I laid witness to. First, she thought about defending her honor which is a major part of the lawful alignment. She was then one breath away from moving toward using violence to defend said honor with no regard to how much trouble she could have gotten in, so that was a sign of the chaotic nature in her at work, acting without thinking.
"Which would have been bad", Izuku point out.
"Oh most definitely, you would had been utterly throttled by her unless you would had transform. Anyway, her good nature overtook her and she realize that what she was about to do was wrong so she stopped, thus keeping her from doing something that she was going to regret later on", Dogal kept saying, "Finally, her simply leaving afterwards was her reverting back to her neutral state because removing herself away from you was the best thing she could do at the time to prevent any further conflict."
"You were able to notice all of that?", Izuku questions.
"It is a special ability of mine. The others have it to a degree but they can only do it for their alignment if it is the dominating one in a person. I myself can detect all five within a person and can tell which one is the dominating one within them", Dogal explains, "But allow me to point out first that it is not perfect and I am not a mind reader. Any assumptions I make are pure speculation and not one hundred percent accurate, so take them with a grain of salt."
"Okay, but you mention Yaoyorozu showing signs of good, lawful, and chaotic before going back to neutral in that brief instance. But what about evil? You didn't say anything about that alignment for her", Izuku asks.
Dogal actually laughs at this, a sight that confounds Izuku.
"I forget sometimes that you are so used to Katsuki and Kasumi being upfront about their intentions that you probably do not know how to read people who keep their emotions in check to a better degree. Do you recall how she was looking at you when you two were at the top of the stairs?"
"Yeah", Izuku answers, remembering the cold look in the girl's eyes.
"That is the same look a predator gives when it is trying to figure out what is the best way to take down its prey", Dogal answers, "She may not have even realize that she was doing it but somewhere in that girl's mind, I guarantee you that she was having an extremely detail image of how she could hurt you…. badly. Thankfully, she regained control of herself."
"Whoa", Izuku says aloud.
"One thing you should know, Midoriya, is that everyone has the capability to be good, evil, lawful, chaotic, or neutral. It just varies from person to person which alignment is the dominating one all the way down to which one is the weakest.", Dogal explains, "These all can then combine and mix-and-match with one another to form one of nine sub-alignments which are Lawful Good, Lawful Evil, Lawful Neutral, Chaotic Good, Chaotic Evil, Chaotic Neutral, Neutral Good, Neutral Evil, and finally True Neutral."
"Holy crap that's a lot", Izuku says before a thought occurs to him, "Wait a minute, I have heard the others mentions chaotic good and chaotic evil to describe the white, copper, and black dragons before."
"Normally I would inform you just what every sub-alignment means but that will have to wait until another time", Dogal says, "Just know that everyone falls under one of those nine categories but even that can be to a varying degree, including the dragons you use to transform."
"I'll keep that in mind", Izuku replies.
"See that you do. Now back to the matter at hand, what separates Yaoyorozu from the other girls that my fellow dragons have "attach" themselves to is actually quite simple and a good example to use is how they would have reacted in Yaoyorozu's place had you had the same "conversation" with them", Dogal says.
Izuku turns around in his seat to face his bed, his full attention now focuses on the neutral dragon.
"That Melissa girl is too good for this world almost to the point of being consider naive to how harsh it is. The thought of insulting you more than likely would have never crossed her mind as well as the thought of responding negatively to your insults in turns would have probably never have occur to her, though I advise that you do not take that as a sign of weakness."
"That sounds about right", Izuku concurs as because at first, he believed that the westerner did not have a bad bone in her body but then he recalls Nefer fight with the black dragon and Melissa "insisting" that he rest and eat properly earlier today.
"Kendou, on the other hand, is different because she is so far in the lawful alignment that even if she did insult you she probably would feel that it was for your own benefit and like she has already shown, she more than likely would have dedicated herself to helping you improve yourself to overcome your flaws. She might also have taken any criticism from you as a means of self-improvement for herself in return", Dogal kept going.
"Okay, I'm following", Izuku says while remembering that so far, he has mostly only seen Itsuka's strict side as well as upstanding morals but help she was always willing to provide pointers on his fighting form.
"Hatsume would probably just simply insulted you and called it a day, all while probably thinking that she did you a service and any attempt to criticize her right back would fall on deaf ears but there is also the equal chance that she would have gotten angry as well. People who have chaotic as their dominating alignment tend to not establish a pattern when it comes to how they would react to something and you can never fully predict what they are going to do."
"I don't know whether to agree or disagree with you there", Izuku says.
"Such is the nature of chaos, it confuses those who do not revel in it", Dogal replies.
"Wow, those were some detail speculations about those three", Izuku says but then hesitates to continue talking.
...
"You wish to know my assessment about the Toga girl, do you not?", Dogal asks, "Despite your brief interaction with her, I was able to get a grasp of her alignment."
"I do want to know but seeing how Buraee, my evil personification, seems to like her, I wonder if it would be a smart idea to", Izuku admits.
"Make no mistake, out of the five alignments within her, evil dominates that girl's heart by a fair margin and you would be wise to keep your guard up around her for the time being for I do not know what her intentions are", Dogal says, causing Izuku to frown, "But back to the scenario, she more than likely would had insulted you with a smile on her face and any criticism direct back at her would have more than likely led to violence."
"Should have known", Izuku says for even though he personally has not seen Himiko commit any violent acts, being able to take down multiple sidekicks and police officers kind of speaks for itself.
"But does not necessary mean she is doom to be evil forever", Dogal kept saying, "Redemption is possible for anyone, though whether or not someone deserve it varies from person to person."
"So, you think there is a chance that Toga can become a nice person?", Izuku asks.
"Let me put it this way for you", Dogal replies, "You had no problem with Toga being at the beach today despite clearly knowing what she is capable of and her past. You also defended her from Kendou even though you were under no obligation to. And when her guardian put forth the question whether or not you would have a problem with them returning you answered honestly that you did not."
Izuku replays the events that happen earlier today and realizes that Dogal was right.
"So, I guess the real question is do you think there is a chance Toga can become a good person?", the neutral dragon says, "
….
"But such answers are for another time. I came here to perform a task with you, if you recall. Are you prepare to see to it?", Dogal says.
"I hope I am", Izuku says.
"Then to the Dragonscape we go then", Dogal says as a light emits from him and engulfs Izuku.
Back in the Yaoyozoru's Musutafu summer home, Momo had finally calm down enough to wipe the tears from eyes and eat the dinner that Genji had left in front of her bedroom door, a perfectly balance nutritious meal that she specifically requested, down to the very last piece of celery.
As soon as she got to the mansion she rushed to her room, avoiding all of the staff including her personal butler. He had knock on her door, pleading to know what was wrong but she had refused to answer and all but beg him to just leave her alone. He eventually respected her wishes and inform the rest of the staff.
That was three hours ago.
And now here she was eating a cold dinner with bloodshot eyes all while Izuku's words echo in her head.
"No matter how much hard work I do everyone will always think I got every single thing handed to me, from my "closest friends" to a complete stranger", Momo thought remembering all the times at school and the girl scouts that she overheard talking about her.
How she was born lucky.
How she was blessed with a powerful quirk.
How being a Pro Hero was just going to be a side gig for her because she had all the money in the world.
Around the time she hit puberty and started to "blossom" she heard girls talked about how she would just used her body to get her way if money could not do it.
"At least Midoriya have the decency not to say that. Still though, it is one think to hear such slander spoken out of earshot, it is another to hear it said directly to your face", Momo thought as she remembers just how angry she got once the boy was done tearing her down and just how close she had come to retaliating.
"Mother and father would be so disappointed in me if they knew how easily I got angry." she said aloud, "Oh who am I kidding? I am disappointed in myself."
Throughout Momo's entire life if there was one lesson she was constantly taught it is do not give in to her emotions, especially to those who were not family. The Yaoyorozu family pride itself on the ability to always look like they were in control and never gave into raw emotions. It was fine to be happy and show it but it was frown upon to show signs of anger or sadness. Emotions show weakness in business negotiations, controlling them gave you an advantage.
"And yet I gave in so easily and yet I berated him over not having control over his emotions; I am such a hypocrite. I even went as far as throwing the Yaoyorictionary out the window", Momo told herself while glancing over at the spot in her shelf where the book would usually go if she still had it in her possession. She honestly did not know what came over her when she threw it out. One moment she was staring at it after the Midoriya boy rip into her and the next she was hurling outside into a bush; but if she had to guess why then it was because the book resembles all the hard work she put into maximizing her quirk and getting the most out of it but despite all of that effort, people still thought that everything was given to her on a silver platter.
"Going to have to start over and make a new one now", Momo bitterly thought before turning her attention to her phone, from which the photos of the beach were located on, "Mother and father will be expecting an update by the end of the month."
Momo lets out a groan as she flops down on her bed, "That means I have to go back eventually. Hopefully when I do no one is there…. especially him."
Back with Izuku and Dogal in the Dragonscape, Izuku found standing in the midst of a colossal chamber of ancient design with a ceiling that seem to go on forever. Burning torches line nearly the entirety of the solid rock walls and the young man could not spot an entrance to this place though he did notice the two immensely large raised platforms that were empty.
"Where are we?", Izuku asks as he looks around.
"Licitum has taken the honor of calling this place the "Hall of Essence", Dogal answers.
"Why is that?", Izuku wonders.
"You shall soon see. Come forth!", Dogal suddenly shouts, catching Izuku by surprise. But was even more surprising was two massive dragons suddenly materializes on the platforms.
He recognizes the one on the right as the copper dragon he saw earlier, its reddish-brown scales and its unwavering smile burned into his memory.
It was the creature on his left that he had a harder time recognizing, its snow-white scales standing out in such a dark room that was only illuminated by torch light. But after realizing the pattern that the black dragon and copper dragon were following it finally dawn on him.
"That's the white dragon from my valley dream", he then says.
"She is a Great Wyrm White Dragon", Dogal corrects him before looking over at the copper dragon, "And he is a Great Wyrm Copper Dragon."
"Wait", Izuku says as he snaps his head up at the neutral dragon once again, "These dragons have genders?"
"Pothoc munthrek", the white dragon says causing Izuku to jump back in surprise at the sheer ferocity in the creature's voice.
"Wer drot ui xoalir. Majak jacion tairais", the copper dragon says with a grin.
"They can talk?!", Izuku screams.
"The other and I have genders and can speak. Did you honest believe that the other occupants of the Dragonscape could not?", Dogal questions.
"No one ever told me", Izuku answers.
"You never asked. Though to be fair, it is difficult to distinguish a male from a female for most dragons' types, especially in the midst of battle", Dogal retorts before pointing a claw at the white dragon, "Anyway, she is whose essence you channel through Buraee and Hunluan in order to transform into your white dragon form."
The neutral dragon then points at the copper dragon, "He is the one whose essence you channel through Nefer and Hunluan to become the copper dragon."
"Okay, I have a question to ask then about the white dragon", Izuku says.
"Which would be?", Dogal asks.
"If I was channeling the essence of the white dragon when I fought Ryukyu, who is a female, does that mean I become a…...you know, while I'm using that transformation?", Izuku asks, trying to find a way to word it.
"You are merely channeling her essence, you are not becoming her. You are still a male when you do this if that is what you are asking", Dogal says.
"What about when the white dragon took over? And what if I mind merge with her in the future?". Izuku then questions.
"The mind merging was Nefer and Hunluan own polite way of telling you that the dragon has officially, and through your consent, taken control of most your body at that time. You do not have the mental fortitude to stand equal with a dragon though parts of your personality do remain. Afterwards, the dragon will try to accomplish whatever goal you told it to do before the merging" Dogal answers.
Izuku just stares at Dogal for moment as if to ask another question before something occur to him, "Wait, I can tell a dragon what to do before I merge with it? Why wasn't I told this earlier?"
"Because a copper dragon natural instinct is to evade and dodge, not to stand and fight. Therefore, Nefer and Hunluan more than likely saw no reason to mention that to you at the time. And if you recall, due to Buraee's antics the white dragon merely took over", Dogal says.
"Jeez, that reassuring", Izuku grumbles, his mood now sour.
"Though you should know that depending on what type of dragon you are using at the time will affect exactly how it will carry out your orders", Dogal further explain, "If you tell a copper dragon to defeat an enemy, it will more than likely do so non-fatally. A white dragon on the other hand will just kill them."
Izuku just shakes his head at this and while hoping to get his mind off such information being withheld from him, turns his attention back to the white and copper dragons.
"Why are they not moving toward us?", he asks.
"They are held in place by an invisible barrier that surrounds the platform they are on", Dogal explains.
"Did you guys put them here?", Izuku asks.
"No, we did not", Dogal answers, "Once they were subdued and channels were established, they suddenly vanish and seem to end up in this place which we found much later on. We still have no idea who or what did this but we have discovered a few things."
"Like what?", Izuku asks.
"In order for you to gain access to their special abilities, you need to train up your mental aspect of your powers with them", Dogal says.
"Well how am I supposed to train my mental stuff?", Izuku asks.
"By connecting on a deeper level with the dragons at your disposal, though even myself and the others are still trying to discover a way to do this. But you can be certain that only through this can you reach the zenith of your power", Dogal answers.
For a moment that was only silence within the chamber as Izuku kept his gaze fix on Dogal and it was in that moment that he realizes that it had just been the two of them conversing for quite a while now and he had begun to notice that such an event like that was a rarity.
"Where are the others anyway? Why are only you here with me?", he asks as it finally dawns on him that the evil, good, lawful, and chaotic dragons were more than likely not coming or else they probably would have shown up by now.
"They are required to subdue the dragons…. for now. I am only required to help you to decide whether or not to truly unleash them."
"What are the drawbacks if I "unleash" them?", Izuku wonders, "Because I'm starting to get the feeling that none of this is going to happen without a price being paid."
"If that is what you wish to know then I will tell you", Dogal says, "The more special abilities you learn from a particular dragon, the more prowess in combat their respective transformation will have."
"But?", Izuku says.
"But this prowess can only be used to its max potential when you merge your mind with the dragon and you should know that the chromatic, or evil dragons, are more suited toward combat than the metallic, or good dragons. This means there is a chance you will have to utilize them more and you have already seen what happen when you merge with a chromatic dragon. Also, it may be even harder for you to disconnect the channel and return to your normal self in the event that you do merge", Dogal says.
…
"Wow, I was not expecting such a straight forward answer from you. It is actually reassuring to get one for once", Izuku says.
"I will tell you exactly what you need to hear and that is the truth, like I told you about the mind merging", Dogal says.
"Okay, let's me test that out then. Let's say I "want" to unleash the full potential of a dragon despite how bad of an idea that sounds", Izuku says as he turns around and points at the white dragon, "What would be your opinion on her?"
"Do you just what my answer or what the others would more than likely tell you as well?", Dogal asks.
"Both, please. Starting with the others", Izuku answers.
"Very well. If Nefer were here she might tell you that the white dragon is a horrible monster and that she preys upon the weak and defenseless like a common animal. If it was Licitum, he might state that she is a savage beast that has no concept of right or wrong and should be put down if such a thing could be done. Hunluan possibly would say she is the pinnacle of natural instinct, relying on gut feelings to make decisions instead of logic. Finally, Buraee more than likely would explain that the dragon's nature is the very concept of the survival of fitness and anything that is not strong enough to defeat her deserves to be killed by her", Dogal says.
"And what would you tell me about it?", Izuku says as he turns to lock eyes with the neutral dragon once more.
"I will simply tell you that the white dragon is a master of ice and snow, a true ruler of the frozen wastelands. You would be hard-press to find a foe that could defeat her in a frozen environment and her survival instincts are second to none. Even if she is counted as one of the weakest dragons around she is still a dragon and thus a formidable foe in all aspects. To underestimate her would be pure folly", Dogal says.
"I see", Izuku says before looking at the other dragon, "And the copper dragon?"
"Nefer might point out that he is a merciful dragon who only uses violence as a last resort and values laughter over taking life. Hunluan might say that the dragon's love for taunts and jokes even in the midst of a battle is the most redeeming quality he possesses. There is a good chance that Licitum would groan about how he does not take his duty nor battle seriously and he is more of a hindrance if anything. Finally, there is a very high chance that Buraee would say that you should not waste your time with such a weakling who will only makes jokes in the middle of a fight to the death and nothing else", Dogal replies.
"And what say you?", Izuku asks.
"That the copper dragon is a master of rock and stone and the levelheadedness he possesses in a fight is one that a great many others could benefit greatly from if they were taught it. A fight with him in a narrow area is a fight he would most likely win. His jokes and taunts make his opponents angry and that make them lose their focus to which he uses to gain a firm advantage. Underestimating her will always ensure that he has the last laugh", Dogal says.
"Wow", Izuku says as he thinks over everything the neutral dragon said in regards to the white and copper dragon, "I might have to start asking you for answers more often."
"This is but another concept of the neutral alignment. Much like when it comes to choosing the best course of action, I have no prejudice, beliefs, judgment, or preference that would sway me in anything I would say to you. As your neutral alignment dragon, you will only ever receive the cold, hard truth from me much like what you got from Yaoyorozu today."
"Yaoyorozu told the truth?", Izuku questions.
"For the most part, yes. She is still only human after all and you can't expect her to be perfectly neutral. But as she pointed out, you did only gain your abilities not too long ago. You did attack seven kids in the alley and put them in the hospital. You did attack Ryukyu. Regardless of the fact that Buraee had a hand in all that or not, you still did it. You did dodge and evade that rock villain instead of attacking her and were only saved by Ryukyu after your acid attack failed. And finally, you do need to gain control over your abilities before you hurt someone", Dogal states, "Nearly every word she spoke was the truth but you were just too angry to hear it."
"So, what I'm guessing you're saying is that I do own her apology then, is that it?", Izuku says.
"My stance on that particular subject has not change in the slightest since our discussion earlier. Just because most of the things she told you were true does not mean that she was in the right to say them in the way that she did as if she did not have her own imperfections that need correcting. Nor was she in the right to get mad when you brought your own allegations against her", Dogal says, "But do not mistake this notion as you were in the right. Some of the words you spoke were spoken without knowing all the facts. Being neutral is about making sound, unbiased judgment and having opinions that match that same belief. You are not sway by good, evil, lawful, or chaotic notions for all that matters to you is the truth and the proof to back it up."
"A simple yes or no would have suffice", Izuku grumbles.
"You want a straight answer? Very well, I shall give you one. Before you ask yourself whether or not you owe Yaoyorozu an apology, first ask whether or not one she owe you one as well", Dogal says
….
….
….
"I believe we are done here for the night. We shall return at another time if that is what you wish", Dogal says as a moment of complete silence had pass.
"Yeah that would probably be for the best", Izuku says but then another thought occurs to him, "One thing before we go though."
"Yes?"
"I couldn't help but notice that you never refer to these dragons by their names", Izuku says as he looks at the two massive creatures.
"That is because neither of them has one", Dogal states.
"Really? No names? That seems kinda strange for such beautiful creatures", Izuku says.
"If you want you could name them yourself if you so desire", Dogal suggests.
"Really?", Izuku questions.
"Yes, you may", Dogal replies.
Izuku looks at the two dragons for a moment with the white dragon snarling at him while the copper one merely kept smiling.
"I think I will. Everyone deserves to at least have a name", Izuku says.
"Then give them one. Though I must advise against using such names like Smaug, Drogon, Toothless, Spike, Spyro, Shenron, Falkor, Draco, Charizard, Acnologia, Ddraig, Porunga, Ghidorah, Alduin, Malygos, Mushu, or Puff. They might not take too kindly to having such simple and brutish names."
"Then what then?", Izuku questions while deciding that it was best not to question why Dogal listed off so many names to not give a dragon when his and the others' names were actually quite similar to them.
"Search deep inside yourself and pick what feels right to you", Dogal advises.
"Just like that?", Izuku says.
"Just like that", came the reply.
"Okay, here goes nothing", Izuku says as he closes his eyes and focuses.
….
….
For the longest time there was nothing. No thoughts, no ideas, and definitely no names. His mind was simply an empty void.
He was on the verge of just calling it quits when suddenly strange and foreign symbols started to form in his mind. They were only there for a moment but that was all he needed.
Izuku then opens his eyes and look over at the copper dragon who smiles back at him.
"I want to give him the name…. Ugilanistorda", he says, "Ugilanistorda, The Jester King of the Emerald Uplands."
"A title as well. You do him a great honor with that", Dogal says before looking at the copper dragon, "Do you accept this name?"
"Axun", came the reply.
"He says yes", Dogal relays.
"That's good", Izuku says as he looks at the white dragon now, "And I would like to call her….Cheynchaytion, The Savage Queen of the Frozen Wastelands."
"Do you accept this name?", Dogal asks the white dragon.
"Winhal", the white dragon murmurs.
"She says "fine", Midoriya", Dogal says.
"That's good to hear. But since you seem to understand them, what did they say earlier when we first got here?", Izuku asks.
"Oh that? Well Cheynchaytion said "Stupid human" while Ugilanistorda says "The boy is trying" and "Give him time" and that was Draconic they were speaking in case you were wondering", Dogal answers.
"Draconic?", Izuku repeats.
"The spoken language of the Dragonscape among dragons. The written language dragons is called Iokharic here", Dogal says, "Now come. We have lingered here for far too long and you need your sleep. We shall return here at the time of your choosing."
"Yeah, got to go back to the beach in the morning", Izuku says before realizing something, "Where is the black dragon?"
"We theorize that it might take time for a dragon to appear here after it is capture. We will inform you when it appears", Dogal answers.
"Okay then", Izuku says.
Dogal then looks at Ugilanistorda and Cheynchaytion, "Return!"
And both dragons simply vanish, leaving no trace that they were even there to begin.
"One more thing, Midoriya", Dogal says, "The answer to your question is yes we can but we have settled on the ones we have at the moment."
"Wait? What question?", Izuku asks.
"The question you were obviously thinking about for a moment in regards to whether or not myself and the others can change our genders", Dogal explains.
Izuku moves to open his mouth but clamps it shut for he had nothing more to say.
"Let's just go", he says to which him and Dogal do.
The next morning after he awoke, Izuku received an email from Ryukyu with all of his schoolwork for the week and there was a lot to go over. Nothing he could not handle but still he was going to be up late some nights.
But worrying about that would have to wait until later as he grabs his notebook and began writing something down.
His mom had already left about an hour ago so Izuku found himself making breakfast and after a quick meal he was on his way, stopping only to grab his backpack to which he put in the Yaoyorictionary along with the partial bo staff and his own analysis notebooks for upon reflecting on everything he read inside that book he realizes something. Something that he felt needed to be done if by some slim chance Momo was going to be at the beach again today and he had to talk to her if only to give her the book back. Too much work was put into something like this only for it to be thrown away in a moment of anger.
But while giving the book back was one thing, actually apologizing was another. Dogal's words rung in his head ever since he woke up and as much as his he hated to admit it, the neutral dragon was right.
Both Yaoyorozu and himself were in the wrong yesterday no matter how you look at it.
"Hope today goes well", he thought as he left the apartment.
And for the most part, things did go well.
Itsuka, Mei, and Melissa were at the beach park waiting for him and the day went by smoothly though there was no sign of Momo but a good portion of the beach got cleaned, inventions were made and tested, and Izuku received training.
This routine continues on day after day with Itsuka eventually deciding that Izuku could now move on to kicking on Wednesday. He has the same initial success with it that he had with punching, but it was a work in progress and Itsuka only snicker this time at his first attempt.
Melissa and Mei, on the other hand, got a bit more involve seeing how Itsuka and Izuku presented the perfect opportunity to test out some prototype gear and even started working on a "training arena" of sorts for them, if only to test out said gear in a more practical manner. Though as time went on Izuku started to notice more and more that whatever training plan Itsuka was going off of for him was not much of a training plan at all and he thought back to the exercise routine that Momo had in her Yaoyorictionary quite a bit during this time.
Speaking of which, when night came around and everyone head home, Izuku found himself working on the homework that was sent to him by Ryukyu while also reading more of the Yaoyorictionary and having conversations with the alignment dragons on topics pertaining to the Dragonscape along with things like his draconic aura and draconic energy.
His draconic aura apparently was some type of spirit force that was constantly surrounding him and help create the Dragonscape as well as allow him to use a number of powers and abilities such as his transformation and buffs from the dragons. Draconic Energy was a source of power that he drew from his draconic aura to fuel those things and depending on what he was doing determine how much of his draconic energy was drain throughout the day and he would need a full eight hours of sleep or the equivalent of a full meal for it to fully replenish.
Luckily, the alignment dragons inform him that being in the Dragonscape, which was apparently done by projecting his spirit or astral projection as it was called, while sleeping did not count against him, so that was a plus.
He also obtained information about the white and copper dragon as well as the black dragon which he was inform by Buraee that the last dragon was now waiting for him at the Hall of Essence and Izuku realizes he was going to have confront that creature sooner or later.
Last but not least, Izuku found himself thinking of believable lies he could tell people about his quirk whenever certain questions about it were brought up. He truly wish he could tell people about the alignment dragons but even in a world full of unique and wonderful quirks telling people that you were talking to entities that only you could see got you label as crazy and thrown in an asylum real quick.
Sunday eventually came back around and it was around high noon the group was taking a break while sitting down at a table they had found thrown away along with each one of them sitting in a different style chair that they discovered. Melissa had packed a meal for everyone, despite them all saying that she did not have to that but the American insisted, and was giving everyone food and drinks to enjoy.
So, it was during this time that Mei brought up something.
"You know Ryukyu is basically screwing you over by not letting you test out your transformations until you start training with her, right?", Mei says before taking a bit out of her sandwich, totally missing the surprise looks she got from Itsuka, Melissa, and Izuku.
"How so?", Melissa asks since Izuku was momentary speechless at the statement and Itsuka was in the midst of chewing her own food.
"Because Midoriya has ten months to get the main aspect of his quirk under control before the exams and yet he has to wait five of those months before he is allow to actually train with it", Mei explains between bites, "No matter how you look at it, that is severely limiting the amount of time you have to work with and thus decreasing your chances of actually passing the examination."
Both Melissa and Itsuka turn to see Izuku's reactions to this and were surprise to find him deep in thought.
"Maybe he's thinking over what she said?", they both thought and they were half-right.
In reality though….
"Hey, my girl got a point! You should've been practicing your transforming this entire time! What the fuck?!", Hunluan says.
"As much as I loathe to admit it, Hatsume has a point. You are hurting yourself in the long run by not practicing", Licitum adds.
"You did promise Ryukyu that you would not use your transformation during this break but I fear that such a thing has started to stall your progress", Nefer states.
"No, he only said that he would not do it, he never promised. Regardless, disregard all that and unleash your inner dragon!", Buraee bellows.
"Dogal?", Izuku asks after letting the other four state their opinions, something he has come to realize actually helps him out a lot as it allows him to see things from different points of view seeing how they all have unique personalities. Afterwards, he would turn to the neutral dragon to give him an unbiased opinion for good measure.
Dogal appears and lifts his head up from his curled-up position.
"The truth of the matter is that you need to learn to control your power and you can only do that by actually training with it. It really is that simple", he says before laying back down.
Afterwards, Izuku returns his attention back to the three girls, Mei had finish eating her sandwich, who were waiting for his response.
"I think Hatsume might have a point", Izuku answers, "I'm not getting any stronger in my dragon form and every day that goes by without me using my transformation is another day wasted."
"But what about what Ryukyu told you?", Itsuka voices up, "About you losing control?"
"That's only if I merge my mind with whatever dragon I'm transform into. Otherwise, I'm in complete control if only significantly weaker", Izuku explains though he was still a little bitter that Nefer and Hunluan decided not to mention that the dragon actually took full control and he could have given Ugilanistorda a command during his fight with Sera. He let it be for now but decided that he was going to go to Dogal more often for information.
"Merge your mind?", Itsuka asks, drawing Izuku back to the conversation at hand.
"I guess a better way to put it is "giving in" to my primal instincts", Izuku says, hoping it was a better explanation, "Regardless, as long as I don't do that I can't go savage."
"Is that so?", Melissa says, "Well, if you are okay with it then, may we see some of your transformation?"
Mei's face lights up as well no doubt due to this meaning that she can now fully test out her prototype using his dragon's forms.
"That would be against the law", Itsuka reminds everyone, "Midoriya isn't in danger, on private property, or being supervises by a license Pro Hero."
"Yeah, but it's not like anyone can see us due to the large amounts of trash", Mei states while pointing behind the group to the mountains of trash that block the view of the street, "I bet most people don't even give this place a second glance when they drive by."
"It's still against the law", Itsuka stood firm.
"It's only illegal if you get caught", Mei replies.
"That's not how things work", Itsuka argues.
"Who cares? I want to test my babies", Mei says back and the two of them began to bicker back and forth; something that has been occurring more frequently lately though neither one of them seem to be getting angry or anything, it was simple banter at best.
But this did leave just Izuku and Melissa to discuss the matter at hand.
"Do you feel uncomfortable about doing your transformations, Izuku?", the westerner asks.
"Not so much the copper dragon, but definitely the white and black dragons", Izuku admits.
"The black dragon?", Melissa asks, "I don't recall you having a black dragon."
"It's my third transformation and it came to me in a dream the other night", Izuku answers, which technically was not a lie but definitely was not the whole truth. Having a number of pre-plan explanations for moments like this was making Izuku start to realize that coming up with believable lies was slowly becoming the norm for him.
"You have a quirk that communicate to you through your dreams?", Melissa asks.
"Well this all started because of a dream", Izuku says and then goes on to tell her about the dream he had while he was knock out from the Slime Villain's attack, giving special attention to the ten dragons that were roaring above him at the end of it and their breath attacks.
"I see", Melissa then says, "Izuku, I'm no expert in dreams but going off what you just said than this could mean that you have the potential to unlock many more dragons' transformations if not those ten that were directly over you."
"That's a lot of different powers", Itsuka says.
"And a lot of different babies I can test out on him", Mei adds as a glint appears in her eyes.
Izuku and Melissa both glance at the other two who seem to be done with their "arguing" and must had heard Izuku's entire explanation.
"Anyway", Melissa says before turning back to Izuku, "You said that unless you merge you mind with the dragon, you are in full control, correct?".
"Yes, just significantly weaker", Izuku says.
"How much weaker?", Itsuka asks.
"Oh?", Mei says while looking at the martial artist, "If I didn't know any better I say you want to witness something like this yourself. Perhaps you want to fight him as well."
Itsuka turns her face away from Mei, "I never said that I wanted him to transform or fight him."
"But I get the feeling you want to see first-hand what Midoriya is capable of", Mei says with a smile, "Admit it, you're curious."
"Stop putting words in my mouth, please", Itsuka says before looking at Izuku, "But it's true that you can keep control of it?"
"I did while in my copper dragon until I realize that it might be better if I let it take over to survive against Sera", Izuku says.
"Well if that is the case and no one can really see us, I'm not saying you should by the way, then currently this beach ~would~ be the ideal place to use your quirk…. hypothetically", Itsuka states.
….
…
...
"Itsuka, you're not fooling anyone", Melissa admits before turning back to Izuku, "So what say you?"
Izuku thinks about what he said to Ryukyu and how he would use his transformations, "But if I get some control over them that might make training with Ryukyu easier."
"Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it.", Izuku could hear Hunluan repeatedly saying into his ear. He then sees her point directly at Mei, "Then you can do h-"
"I'm going to stop you right there", Izuku says before standing up from the table, "I guess I'll give it a shot. I'm only going to get better at them if I use them."
"Yes! Finally, I can test my babies out for real!", Mei hoots.
Itsuka merely crosses her arms but says nothing.
Melissa claps her hands rapidly before putting out her phone, "I need to record this!"
"Promise me if I start to get aggressive you guys will get away from me and call the police", Izuku says.
This catches all the girls' attention.
"Are you worry something might happen?", Itsuka asks.
"Just a precaution", Izuku replies, "Just promise me, okay?"
"On my family's name, I will", Itsuka says.
"You got it!", Mei says with a thumbs up, "Now start transforming!"
"I will", Melissa says.
"Okay then", Izuku says as he moves a bit away from the table, "So the black dragon is chaotic evil, which I still don't know what that means, but since Buraee and Hunluan are needed to establish a channel with it."
"We are here!", Hunluan shouts as she runs up in front of Izuku while Buraee merely walks up and once they got in position, Izuku closes his eyes and let the evil and chaotic dragons guide him.
Dragonscape
"Buraee, can I trust you not to try anything funny when I transform?", Izuku asks his evil dragon once he reopen his eyes.
"I do not know. Do you have any buried negative feelings in-regards to those three girls that none of us know about?", came the reply back.
"I think he'll behave this time, kid. All you have to do is not merge with the dragon's mind", Hunluan tells him.
"Okay, here we go", Izuku said as both Buraee and Hunluan bow their heads and Izuku places his hands on their head.
"Just say the words "Black Dragon" now", Buraee says.
"I really hope I don't come to regret this", Izuku murmurs, "Black Dragon."
Just like with the copper dragon, the evil and the chaotic dragons' bodies changed into pure energy and began to swirl together and out from this came the form of the evil dragon Izuku met the other night in his dreams. It looks directly at him with a predatory eye, no different than it did when they first met but before Izuku could do anything it threw backs it head, spread it wings out and lets out a deafening roar.
It then bows its head like the copper dragon did and blackness engulfs Izuku.
Back on the beach, Itsuka, Mei, and Melissa watch in amazement as Izuku's entire body began to emit a pitch-black glow and his scales, claws, talons, wings, and tail began to take form within the light before fading away and leaving him in all his black draconic glory. It was his face though that got the most attention from them though as it took on skull-like appearance with deep-socket eyes and large horns jetted out from his cheekbones along with a long snout and a mouth that had teeth protruding out of it despite it being close.
But the most obvious change of all force the three girls to grab their noses.
"Oh, my goodness!", Melissa screams out.
"I'm about to throw up!", Itsuka shouts.
"You stink like really bad!', Mei simply says.
With his still green eyes, Izuku lifts an eyebrow that clearly convey that he was not amuse by their antics and comments.
"You guys have been hanging out for almost two weeks, longer in your case, Kendou, in an improvise garbage dump with no complaints yet this makes you gag?", he says.
"Yeah, we got over that but this might take a while!", Mei says, "Do you think you can weaponize your odor to fight criminals in this form?"
"You're hilarious", Izuku replies in a dry tone.
"Just stay right there, will ya?", Mei asks as she gets her tool bag, pulls out a small bottle and sprays her nose a few times. She then walks over to Melissa and Itsuka and does the same.
"Oh wow, what is this?", Itsuka asks as she takes a big sniff and look relieve.
"An experimental spray that neutralizes strong smells that my mom has been working on in her spare time at the company. She made it for me once she realizes that I would be hanging out all day at a trash dump. I have been using it every day before I came but Midoriya's scent must have temporarily overwhelm it", Mei says.
"Okay, you guys are awfully fixating on my smell right now", Izuku grumbles and crosses his arms in a huff, "You guys are the ones that wanted me to change."
Before any of them could make a reply, Izuku suddenly grabs his head and went down to one knee.
"Arrgh! What the hell?! My head is pounding!", he thought as it felt like someone was taking a sledgehammer along with a jackhammer to his brain.
"That would be the black dragon pounding on the barrier to your mind while trying to get in", Hunluan's voice says.
"I didn't have this problem with the copper dragon!", Izuku says.
"That is because the metallic dragons are not as aggressive as the chromatic ones when it comes to this aspect", Buraee says.
"Now you tell me!", Izuku shouts.
The pounding began to grow in power and intensity inside his head until he was force completely to the ground and lying on his back.
"Okay, that's it! Can you please do something about it to make him stop?!", Izuku begs.
"We can, but it would significantly decrease the time you can maintain this form because it would require us to siphon half of your current draconic energy to restraint the black dragon", Buraee answers.
"Yeah and that would cut your time that you can maintain this form in half as well", Hunluan finishes.
"Whatever! Just do it!", Izuku screams.
"Give us a moment", Hunluan says and a few seconds later, the pounding subsided.
"It is done", Buraee's voice says a few moments later.
"Oh, thank goodness", Izuku says as he struggles to get up off the ground, only to immediately find himself being help up by three sets of hands.
"Izuku, are you okay?", Melissa asks.
"You look like you were in pain. Are you alright?", Itsuka states.
"Am I going to be able to try out my babies on you without you dying?", Mei asks.
It took a moment for Izuku's brain to register the fact that he was being talk to as it was preoccupied with dealing with the fact that three separate girls were touching him because after all he was still a healthy teenage boy.
"I-I'm fine. Just a little headache I guess I got from the transformation", he eventually says, "It's gone now so thank you for your concern including…. your unique way of showing it, Hatsume."
Itsuka, Melissa, and Mei stare at him for a moment, causing Izuku to feel a bit uncomfortable, but eventually they drop the matter.
Instead all three of them started to examine his draconic features...very closely.
Mei ran her bare hands across the scales on his back and chest while using her eyes to zoom in, "It's like a crocodile's hide, so tough, leathery, and thick but it looks like its scale armor in a way. Bet it could take quite a hit."
Meanwhile, Itsuka examine Izuku's wings as she unfolds them a little, "It's like a bat's wing. It made out of hide and not feathers."
Finally, Melissa alternates between using one hand to examine the claws on Izuku's left hand and the other hand was feeling Izuku's horns, "I don't think your claws are made out of keratinous, neither are your horns."
Izuku just kept his mouth shut. Not because he had nothing to say but because his brain could not think of anything to say since it was currently overheating from embarrassment.
"Oh gosh! Oh gosh! Oh gosh! Oh gosh!", he mentally repeats over and over again.
"You should be enjoying this, kid, not freaking out over it", Hunluan's voice chimes in, "I'm pretty sure that some boys would kill to be in your position."
"The truly inferior one has a point", Buraee's voice says.
"Truly inferior one? Is that what you're calling me now, Mr. Grumpy Pants?", Hunluan asks.
"I have a few more colorful words I could call you if you like", came the evil dragon's reply.
Ignoring the argument between them, something that was also becoming more of a reflex than a habit for him, Izuku began to wander as to why none of the girls seem to be afraid of him in this form. He met the real one and he was utterly terrified just by the sight of it.
"I wonder if it has something to do with me being in control? Perhaps the black dragon gives off an aura or something to make itself more frightful and I'm just not emitting that myself", He thought, "Maybe it is a natural thing for all my dragons' transformation and I just haven't-"
"What the hell is going on here?", a voice says from behind the group and everyone turns to see Vlad King and Himiko standing there, the man in civilian clothes while the girl had an expression of starstruck across her face. On a side note, the Pro Hero's interruption seems to make Itsuka, Melissa, and Mei realize what they were doing with their hands and they all instantly bring them back to their sides and thankfully Izuku's attention was focus on the new arrivals or else he would have notice that there were faint blushes on the cheeks of Melissa and Itsuka though Mei just look annoy more than anything.
"Aw crapbaskets", Izuku groans as he realizes that he was now in deep trouble.
"Kid, you mind telling me why you were using your quirk in public like that when it is clearly against the law?", the Pro Hero asks while crossing his arms and dawning a gruff expression.
"I-I-I-I", Izuku struggles to speak, "Crap, I am so screw! He is going to arrest me and then I-"
"It was actually my fault, Mr. Vlad King", Melissa speaks up as she steps in front of Izuku.
This catches everyone's attention, including Himiko, who all turn their attention to the foreigner.
"Oh?", Sekijiro says as he raises an eyebrow, "How so?"
"I wanted to see his transformation and Izuku is such a nice person, so it was hard for him to say no to me", Melissa confesses.
The teacher narrows his eyes at the girl before directing his attention back to Izuku, "Follow me, I want to talk with you...alone."
With the amount of authority that was in his voice Izuku did not even attempt to talk his way out of this and merely walk over to the man who began to move to a secluded part of the beach where no one would see them.
As he got closer, he notices that Himiko was practically trembling with excitement as her eyes roam up and down his draconic body, her face red with a heavy blush and his hearing pick up on her rapid heartbeat.
"So cool", he hears her whispers and as he disappears behind mounds of trash the girl finds herself clutching her hand over her heart.
"Holy fucking shit, that form of Izu-kun looks so fucking hot! Those claws, those horns, and especially those teeth! Though he did smell a little ripe, not that I was that bother by it, but still, holy shit! Forget that white dragon, that black dragon form of his is amazing! I am so happy I badger that old fart to come to the beach once he got back to the house from that stupid emergency staff meeting!", Himiko mentally screams before reeling herself in, "Whoa! Wait a minute! Calm down, Himiko! Calm down! You're starting to lose control!"
Ever since last Sunday, Himiko has been practically annoying the ever-living shit out of Vlad King to come back to the beach. She finished her homework early, did the chores around the house, and even behave during her therapy session yesterday. It almost got to the point of her begging but she stop just short of that since she was sure her guardian would have found that suspicious.
But once again….
"Holy shit! This might change everything or does it?! If I confess to Izuku then I'll never get to see that form again! If I don't confess I would have miss out on my second chance and then some other bitch might come along and confess to him!", Himiko thought before directing her attention at the other three girls, namely Itsuka, "Speaking of other bitches."
"What are you looking at?", Itsuka says as she narrows her eyes in response to Himiko looking directly at her.
"Someone who can't keep their hands to themselves", Himiko answers.
"Excuse me?", Itsuka says.
"I saw how you were touching Izu-kun's wings like they belong to you, you harlot! You floozy!", Himiko shouts while pointing an accusatory finger.
"Harlot?! Floozy?! Why I ought of-", Itsuka says as she starts to stomp over to Himiko while rolling up one of her sleeves.
Meanwhile…
"Look kid, I get it", were the first words out of Sekijiro's mouth once he and Izuku were alone.
"I'm sorry, what?", Izuku says.
"I get why you use your quirk when you know you're not supposed to", the man kept going.
"You do?", Izuku then asks.
"I mean, you're on this beach with three beautiful girls around your age, by yourselves, and you want to show off your fancy quirk. It's a common thing for a teenage boy like yourself. I used to do things like that when I was your age", Sekijiro kept going, "Which is why I'm going to let it slide this time, but you can't be doing this type of thing because next time you might not be so lucky. Now change back before someone else see you. Also, you kind of stink a bit."
Izuku, still confuse by everything right now and doing his best to beat down the blush he could feel forming on his face, closes his eyes and takes his hands off of Buraee and Hunluan.
Soon enough a black light was enveloping his body and when it retreated he was back to his normal self.
"If I may, Mr. Kan", Izuku says, "While Melissa was right in that she asks me to transform, I did it for another reason as well."
"Which was?"
"I need to get better control of my quirk for the entrance exams and waiting five months to train at Ryuuku's agency is not doing me any favors", Izuku says.
Sekijiro regards Izuku for a moment before bringing his hand to his chin in thought.
"You may have a point there", the pro hero says, "How much control do you have over your quirk right now?"
"Not much but as long as I don't merge my mind with the whatever dragon I transform into, I have complete control", Izuku answers.
"Merge your mind?", Sekijiro repeats.
"Oh man, how many times am I going have to explain this?", Izuku thought with a huff before doing so.
Moments later, the Blood Hero was deep in thought.
"And you have complete control when you don't merge your mind?", he asks.
"One hundred percent. What you saw just when you got here was me in complete control", Izuku answers.
"I see", Sekijiro says.
"You want a piece of me?!", both of them suddenly hear.
"That was Kendou", Izuku says.
"Aw crap, what now?", the pro hero says as he and Izuku move back to the clearing and see Itsuka and Himiko looking like they were ready to throw down with Melissa in between them trying to diffuse the situation. The marital artist looks ready to tear Himiko apart and in return the other girl merely stuck her tongue out at her.
"Now, now. Let's everyone take a deep breath and breathe it out slowly", the westerner says while Mei merely watches with her hands behind her head. She then looks to her right down the beach and spots something.
"Hey, look who finally came back", she comments as points down the beach with her eyes zoom in.
Izuku looks to where she was pointing and was amaze to see the heiress of the richest family in Japan, Momo Yaoyorozu, just a little way down on the beach and staring out into the ocean.
With his enhanced sight Izuku could see that she seems to be deep in thought and in that moment, he decided.
"Mr. Kan, could you help Melissa handle this please?", he asks before running to grab his backpack which was nearby.
"I mean I kind of have to but where are you going?", the Blood Hero asks.
"To go do something that has to be done!", Izuku says as he takes off down the beach.
A/N: So next chapter Izuku and Momo have their talk. Also, in case you haven't notice, Itsuka and Himiko do not like each other. Some people may find this odd seeing how in DnD/Pathfinder alignments is set up as Good vs Evil and Lawful vs Chaotic and there is the alignment Lawful Evil. This story is a bit different as the world of MHA isn't in a DnD/Pathfinder setting like Greyhawk, Faerun, or Golarion, it just borrows from it, though I do have some plans for that later.
Though the dragons' names are taken out of the 3.5 Draconomicon.
