Hey there, sorry if it's been almost a full year out and no updates were done with this one. I got into a serious of held back and when I get to do some massive updates i kept forgetting to do this one. Well, we are in a good track for Critical Role, season 3 is coming up and Mighty Nein will be getting a tv show in the near future. Now let's see how Vox Machina would handle in this situation.
Vox Machina has been caught in a lot of trouble in the past, but this one seemed to be a misunderstanding. Yes, they did shot a man in plain sight, but that is the norm for most adventures, you can kill a criminal and it would be fine. Now people were calling them killers and monster's and while they weren't the nicest people they are no way horrible monsters.
"Woah! Calm down! We are not villains.'' Said Scanlan
"That criminal was down for the count and your buddy there just shoot him in the head!'' Said a civilian in horror pointing at Percy
"Well yeah, but who cares?'' Asked Percy not liking that guy pointing at him.
"He need it to be brought down to Justice. That's what heroes do.'' Said a civilian.
"Look, I don't know how you guys do things in here but where we come from if a bad guy is escaping you can kill them.'' Said Vax
"Yeah, fuck off.'' Said Vex just insulting a plain civilian.
The crowd was now in shock, these people did not act like heroes at all. Then it seems that Mountain Lady and Kamui Woods would have to act a little more serious among these people.
"Look, we can discuss this mostly in a private location. First give us your hero licenses, this way we can look you all up.'' Said Kamui to the mercenaries who all had confused looks.
"Uh what?'' Asked Grog.
"Hero Licenses. You know the document that certifies you are all Heroes.'' Said Kamui Woods.
The mercenaries just looked at each other in confusion, not understanding a single word of that. Back in their world all you have to do is form a group, get a cool name and that's it.
"We don't have licenses.'' Said Pike.
The two heroes look at them in anger now, so either they are criminals or really dumb vigilante. Either way they are going for questioning.
"You all are going with us!'' Said Kamui now being a little hostile.
"Woah, calm down tree man. Look, I get it you're pissed that our friend shot that guy but there is no need to call the authorities.'' Said Vax.
"Yes, it's like this was just the first bad guy he killed, honestly.'' Said Vex trying to defend Percy but it just made things worst.
"So you all have body count?'' Asked Mountain Lady in shock.
"Oh yeah! Big time!'' Said Grog with a laugh.
The two heroes had a face of shock and Vox Machina realized they have just made a horrible mistake.
"Shit!'' Said Pike as Vox Machina started to run for their lives.
"Get them!'' Said Kamui Woods activating his wood powers while Mountain Lady grew giant side.
The group saw the woods catching up to them, luckily they could use some spells or Grog could cut all that wood by himself.
"Woah, he can make wood too!'' Said Scanlan.
"Keyleth do something!'' Scream Vex.
Then the half elf raised her hands to summon a bunch of vines, it was good enough to tangle with the pro hero woods.
"What!'' Said Kamui Woods seeing that scene, it looked like a jungle just sprouted out of the concrete.
"She can manipulate plants too!'' Said Mountain Lady.
"I didn't expect this. Keep an eye close they are a tricky group.'' Said Kamui Woods.
"Bring it on! I am not afraid of some weirdos who look like rejected Larps!'' Said Mountain Lady.
"Hey! Time out!'' Said Scanlan trying to resolve things.
The two saw the bard coming in a good distance while the rest of the group just wonder what he was going to do.
"What?'' Asked Mountain Lady.
"Scanlan! What are you doing?'' Asked Pike.
"Trying to not a giant piece of wood in my ass. Listen, we got off in the wrong foot. We can explain everything and hey if things go well we can go out, I don't care if you're this big I am up for the challenge.'' Said Scanlan trying to do a bargain and still score a date with Mountain Lady.
The mercenaries all facepalm with only Grog laughing, the two heroes just had a look in disbelief at that. Mountain Lady after a few seconds got a really pissed off look.
"Ok you will get stomped first!'' Scream her.
"Worth a shot!'' Said Scanlan as Pike dragged him out of that mess.
The mercenaries ran for the life's, passing down those strange mechanical things with four wheels and those weird peoples. Mountain Lady was raising her fist to squash them but she missed.
BAM
"AAAAH!'' Said some of the group.
"Are you an idiot or something?'' Asked Vax.
"I was trying to be different for once, ok! Besides, i think she looks sexy. Come on we can see her butt from here.'' Said Scanlan.
"A rather fat one.'' Said Percy.
"Grog! Go have some fun!'' Said Pike to her big friend.
"Oh yeah! Time to cut off a giant!'' Scream Grog all excited.
The Goliath went to full force towards the female heroine, cramming his axe into her left arm.
"Aaaaah!'' Scream Grog
SMACK
"Argh!'' Said Mountain Lady in pain. In that size that attack was like a paper cut, but if not treated it could be fatal.
She had enough and grabbed Grog as if he was an action figure, she was beyond pissed at this moment.
"Hey! That wasn't cool. You actually cut me! With a frecking axe!'' Said Mountain Lady.
"So what! You giants have a good amount of resistance to this attack.'' Said Grog.
"Lucky me! This is going to leave a scar! At least is not in my face you ogre!'' Said Mountain Lady.
"Hey! Who are you calling Ogre you fat witch!'' Said Grog insulting the heroine.
The insult was not a good one but it was enough to make Mountain lady major pissed off.
"Shut up you…jackass!'' Scream Mountain Lady tossing Grog to another part of the city.
"AAAAAH!'' Scream Grog being tossed through the air.
"Oops.'' Said Mountain Lady in shock, she couldn't do that to criminal since well they would die in a instant.
The mercenaries saw their friends flying through the air, Grog could survived being tossed by a giant and landing in some hard place, but they need it to get him out before he could be taken down.
Kamui Woods saw that scene and facepalm at that, he would have to talk with Mountain Lady after. He was still getting a focus on getting those weirdos first.
"What are we going to do now?'' Asked Keyleth scared.
"First we are going to grab Grog and then let's find where the hell are we are.'' Said Vex.
"Ok, first lets distract tree face there.'' Said Percy.
"Pike some light please!'' Said Vax.
Soon the gnome started to chant some of her Divine Domain, she then made a hammer out of light and hit the wood hero right in the face. It wasn't going to kill him, but it would give them some time.
BAM
"ARGH!'' Scream Kamui Wood being sent out.
"Scanlan! Some transportation!'' Said Percy.
"Sure! Scanlan Hand!'' Said the bard forming a hand to transport the members of Vox Machina.
Soon the entire team went to the hand, they even made sure that Trinket was there and they were off flying look for his friend.
Kamui Woods was trying to shake off being hit by a hammer made out of light, whatever it was made it hurt and a lot.
"Kamui! Are you ok?'' Asked Mountain Lady worried.
"Yes, just a bit shaken. These people are not amateurs, they are strong. We need reinforcement.'' Said Kamui.
The giant woman nod at that, while she went to try to fix her wound quickly Kamui contacted some help.
With Vox Machina.
Scanlan hand was looking above everyone, of course the people of Musutafu were recording that scene with their phones while Vox Machina wanted to find the goliath to get the hell out of there.
"How are we going to find Grog?'' Asked Percy.
"Lets just wait. We will hear him screaming.'' Said Vex.
"Where could a guy like that be?'' Asked Pike.
Soon they heard a bunch of people screaming.
"AAAAAH!'' Scream a bunch of people.
"I think we found him.'' Said Vex.
The mercenaries went towards the noise and saw a bunch of people running in fear.
"Somebody help! That brute is destroying the restaurant!'' Scream a random civilian.
Soon the group entered the building which in this world was just a random fast-food join. They then see Grog there eating like a animal.
"Grog!'' Said Pike relieved to see her friend.
"Guys, this food is amazing! They even have sandwiches with 10 layers of just meat! I love it!'' Scream Grog eating all that fast food.
The group were both relieved and disgusted upon seeing their friend eating like an animal.
"They also have these little pies, but they burn your mouth every time you try to eat it.'' Said Grog.
"Yes, because they are not ready to be eaten.'' Said Keyleth.
"Boy look at this mess.'' Said Vax.
"I am not cleaning this up.'' Said Vex.
"Look at all these calories, how can you eat these?'' Asked Percy looking at the nutrition value.
"Because it looks good!'' Said Grog eating another big burger.
"Man, this kind looks good.'' Said Scanlan.
As the group just thinks of what to do to get out of that situation, the problem soon arrived.
"Freeze!'' Scream some cops.
The group turned to see a bunch of police officers, the two heroes that they encounter earlier but this time were some reinforcements.
Kamui Woods and Mountain Lady have brought: Death Amr's ready for a fight, Backdraft who was in the neighborhood, Fourth Kind who wanted a piece of the action, Manual who also wanted to solve this problem and Native who had just stopped a robbery at this moment.
The heroes and police were ready to fight these deranged criminals, not knowing how screwed they were.
"You all have the right to remain silent. If you all cooperate, we can get you all some good lawyer. Now surrender peacefully.'' Said a cop.
The group upon seeing that crowd of people outside were anything but scared.
Vex and Vax both smirk at each other as they prepare their weapons.
Keyleth was a bit scared but she soon prepared her staff.
Percy prepared his gun.
Scanlan prepared his Lute.
Pike grabs a hold of her crystal.
Grog just cleaned his face as action was about to start.
Trinket went off to be on the side, making sure to not get in the way.
Of course Grog was the first one who wetn into action, breaking the main front of the restaurant and screaming at the top of his longue as he went to attack the heroes.
Bam
"Let's brawl!'' Scream him.
Vox Machina first major fight with heroes has started and wouldn't be the last one.
At an unknown location
The infamous Villain All For One was watching the news while he was taking his medicine, while doing this he saw some special report.
"We interrupt this bit to bring you some shocking news. 7 mysterious people and…a bear was seeing on the center of the city causing chaos.'' Said the news anchor.
"Uh, Kurogiri please increase the volume.'' Said All For One.
"Yes master.'' A man made out of mist called Kurogiri.
The villain did that as they saw the incident on the street as a mysterious group called Vox Machina just showed up, stopped a villain, shot one in point blank, causing confusion with professional heroes and then started a brawl. The news were declaring these people as criminals to stop at all force. However for the villain he just saw a opportunity.
"These ones sound interesting.'' Said All For One.
So yes, we are cutting short in here and sorry if we are getting the full fight yet. I wanted this to be a short chapter, and I got it. I hope you all had a good time while reading this one. Vox Machina will get in all sorts of problems in this world, it will be like Straw Hats Vigilantes but more R rated. You can imagine some Tinder and Grindr jokes from Vax and what kind movies are Vox Machina found off.
