Hi there, time for another chapter of this funny fic. We can see if Mash will get around to get the tittle of Visionary and stay at UA. It will be a while so we can go to the Sports Festival, I want to do some Mash arcs before so we can establish the characters and then we can do the My Hero Arcs. The first day and the USJ are mostly Izuku and Bakugo arcs, so we don't have to worry about those for a while. Now let's go.

At the Maze area

The entire General Course students who wanted to try for the Hero Course were in total shock. Almost nobody have passed the Maze test, but then they all saw Mash Burnedead getting out of the maze with a giant gun to open a path so he and Lemon could just walk out with no problem.

"WHAT!'' Scream everyone in shock over the absurdity of that scene.

"We got out.'' Said Mash all calm.

The teen dropped the massive gun to the ground, he didn't even looked all that tired or sore from carrying around that heavy object. Lemon was just behind him looking a bit shy over all those eyes being targeted at her and the stoic boy.

All the students immediately went to insult Mash, for obvious reason

"Hey! That's cheating!''

"Yeah, it's that even allowed?''

"No way that's fair!''

"The rest of us did it properly! Nobody flew or destroyed the maze!''

The entire General studies was up against Mash, pretty much all of them shouting him to go home.

"Go home!''

Whalberg was seeing that scene, while it was annoying, he could see that these people were mad not because Mash didn't have a quirk but because he kind cheated. He just knew if they discovered he didn't have a quirk it would just put more anger in their lungs.

Mash despite being a very stoic individual apparently was feeling down from those comments.

"I wish I could.'' Said him a bit down, but not much.

Then the students started pointed out what he did wrong.

"It's not a maze if you can punch your way through it! Or blast the walls!''

"Good point.'' Said Mash.

"Yeah, mazes are for getting lost in until you find the exit!''

"I can't deny that.'' Said Mash.

"I got disqualified by using my quirk on others, but this guy gets a pass!'' Said Shinso pissed.

"You're right.'' Said Mash much to everyone confusion.

The rest of the course was starting to chant for Mash to go home or just drop out of UA. Good thing they didn't have any school supplies or food with them otherwise they would have started to thrown at the poor boy who looked sorry. After a good moment of shouting Lemon finally spoked.

"PLEASE! STOP THIS! HE'S NOT THE ONE AT FAULT!'' Scream Lemon at the top of her longues.

The students all stopped to see the shy blonde girl with a ribbon. She looked nervous but she wanted to speak.

"Is something Mrs. Irvine?'' Asked Lucci with an irritated face.

"I said it's not his fault.'' Said Lemon all sad.

The entire crowd looked at the blonde girl who looked otherly weak.

"I never wanted to cause him any harm, but mister Lucci told me he could get some connections to help my family. We are in a bad situation, and I got into UA due to scholarship.'' Said her.

Lucci didn't wanted Lemon to keep talking, it would cost his job and his career but he hated that Mash kid with a passion.

"Don't you dare!'' Said Lucci pissed.

"Is it true miss Irvine?'' Asked Whalberg now with a stare at Lucci.

"Yes, he said my folks would get lots of deals if I made sure that this student didn't pass the test. But not only did he saved me, he told that he would marry me!'' Said Lemon blushing at the last part.

"I never said that.'' Said Mash all stoic.

The thing was that Lemon didn't understood was that Mash words and felt like he was confessing to her.

"Don't be bashful. I know how you feel. And its such a relief…oh, yes!'' Said Lemon still blushing.

"Is it? Because I didn't say that.'' Said Mash.

Lucci just looked annoyed at that meanwhile Whalberg decided to ask him a few questions.

"Is it true Mister Lucci? You promised this young student help if she mobilized another student?'' Asked Whalberg.

"I am sorry mister Whalberg, but it's a doggy dog world in here. We have a 2-mile list of people who are trying to climb at some position of power. We have the reserves, the ex-heroes, the defense squad and other forms of combat. I just wanted to make sure that these kids knew how hard it is to get into the Bureau of Quirks, temptation is a key, and that girl failed.'' Said Lucci trying to pass his scum behavior as an academic method.

'What?!'' Asked Lemon in shock.

"Well I do know that the method of teaching have changed a lot since I was a student, but I do not approve of these methods.'' Said Whalberg.

"This is my exam sir, I've planned and I set it up. It's not my fault Mushroom head there broke the rules. You want to complain about not giving kids a fair shot, go talk to Ereserhead from 1-A, the man expelled more people than teached.'' Said Lucci.

"Well if that the case why don't you show him your superiority?'' Asked Whalberg.

"Uh?'' Asked Lucci.

"If you think that he is not fit to be on the Bureau or be with the Pro Heroes why don't you challenge him to a duel. Quirks and other types will be accepted.'' Said Whalberg.

The whole class looked at this in surprise, the head of the Bureau of Quirks was giving this weird kid a fair shot, but it was up against a teacher, one that had a lot of time in the field.

"With pleasure sir. Now, clear the field! Its just me and Mushroom head.'' Said Lucci.

The smug man soon formed a barrier of earth to separate the others students from Mash, it looked like a small line from soccer. Mash saw all those movements still with an uneasy face, meanwhile Lucci was getting more and more fired up.

"You think you can beat me?! You quirkless freak?! No way has a person without a quirk has ever beaten a member of the new era! I will bury you and I will only let you out once you start to apologize for everything you did to…'' Said Lucci monologuing as he was preparing an attack.

He didn't noticed Mash moving at top speed, getting very near to him and then breaking his hand with his strength as if they were made of dry pasta.

Crack

The barrier of earth soon went down and everyone was in pure shock of that. It was like the world went silent for a second and then Lucci let out a scream.

"aaaaaaaah!

The smug man started to roll down in the grass in pain, pretty much trying not to think about it but failing at every step.

"This was unwanted teacher.'' Said Mash all calm.

"My hand! My freackign hand!'' Said Lucci in pain.

"He broke a teacher hand!'' Thoguht everyone in shock.

The smugged man was down on his knees while Mash was still up and looking down on him, this time the earth manipulator wanted blood.

"You bastard I will kill you now and…'' Said Lucci but then.

"That's enough!'' Said Whalberg with a mighty booming voice.

The entire crowd looked at Whalberg, now the old man was giving some serious vibes and was scaring most for the students.

"Mister Lucci I agreed on a duel and for the looks like Mister Burnedead won. I didn't expect someone from the Bureau be this pity, now go heal your hand while Recovery Girl is still not filled with the Hero course.'' Said Whalberg.

"I am sorry sir!'' Said Lucci in fear.

"Sometimes I wonder how did you get this high position, perhaps we should do a revaluation of your performance, but since its already the start of semester we should postpone. Don't you think?!'' Asked Whalberg pretty much saying I will let this one slide Lucci, but next time your career is dead.

"Yes sir!'' Said Lucci in total fear.

Whalberg saw the first years scared of him, he then gave a chuckle and started to talk.

"Apologize young ones, you can go now. Since its been a good amount of time you can all leave home earlier, except you young man. Come with me.'' Said Whalberg to Mash.

"Ok.'' Said Mash just following the old man.

The entire General Course saw the quirkless kid go with Whalberg and wonder what would happened, some were in shock over his strength while others wonders what was his deal. Whatever the case nobody would be getting a recommendation for the hero course for now.

Later

At an empty room.

"Is this your office? It's pretty modest.'' Said Mash looking around.

"No, it's just one for me when I am going to UA. My real one is much bigger than this. Now, lets talk Mash Burnedead.'' Said Whalberg all serious.

Mash on the other hand looked completely calm and with that stoic face of his.

"I want to ask you a few questions, think of this as small interview for the Bureau of Quirks, Mash Burnedead.'' Said Whalberg.

"Thanks for having me.'' Said Mash.

"First off all, why did you choose UA? And why are you trying to go be a Visionary? These two are related to the same question.'' Said Whalberg.

The stoic teen just thought for a second to figure out a good answer.

"So I can live in peace with my family.'' Said Mash.

"That is insufficient. Next question…I saw that you stopped to save a girl even though you were running out of time in the maze. Why did you risk failing this exam to help her?'' Asked Whalberg.

"If I didn't I think I would have regretted it.'' Said Mash all plain and simple.

"Ho Ho ho. You're the type of act before thinking, I see. We have a ton of those in the first year. Did you considered you could have made through the maze and look for her after?'' Asked Whalberg.

"Even if I couldn't I still had to try.'' Said Mash.

"Ho ho ho! Very amusing answer! But it shows you do not yet understand the ways of this world. There are many people in this school alone more powerful than you. When you find yourself facing them, hopeless outmatch I wonder how you take the same actions? What if you were to face someone like myself?'' Asked Whalberg.

Then out of nowhere the room changed, what looked like an empty regular room transformed into a house of horror, a creature the size of a skyscraper appears in front of Mash and it had a ton of mouths and spikes. It was holding a large spear aimed towards a doll of a man in the ground.

"There are Quirks that can even target those who you love dearly. I am one of the few people who has access to request such powers be applied just to make a point. Tell me Mister Burnedead ever heard of Voodoo?'' Asked Whalberg.

He saw the doll on the floor and saw that it looked exactly like…

"Pops!'' Said Mash shocked but still stoic.

"We know about your adoptive father. I am a person with a large amount of power and influence, I could kill him and get away with the crime, plus my quirk would be able to make people not wanting to face me. I am that powerful my boy.'' Said Whalberg.

Mash went to punch the spear but it ended up with a bruised knuckle.

"Ho Ho Ho. Did I not mention already? I am immediately more powerful than you boy. I will slowly stab that doll with this spear. And in your current state, you cannot stop me. What will you do when you face a situation that you cannot win?'' Asked Whalberg.

The old man made his illusion go and poke the voodoo doll.

Mash didn't think twice, he went and put his hand between the doll and the spear. Of course, there was a hole in his hand, but he didn't care for that.

The action surprised Whalberg, he knew he would do something like that but he wasn't crying or shouting in pain.

"I don't care for how much I get hurt; all I need to do is outlast you.'' Said Mash all simple.

The answer surprised Whalberg who felt a sense of honesty about this boy.

"Power can be used to harm or to help. It all depends on the wielder. One of the principles of UA and the Bureau of quirks is to foster the current generation of Quirk users. Which is why I like to put emphasis on a certain principle. Protect the weak and regular the strong. Nobbles oblige and from what I've observed you embody those qualities.'' Said Whalberg.

The room soon turned back to normal, but despite being back to the real-world Mash hands were still damaged.

"My apologies this was indeed a test. I had no intention of causing you harm. We will fix your hands, and they shall be good as new by the end of the day.'' Said Whalberg.

"You don't need to apologize.'' Said Mash.

"Yes? What is it?'' Asked Whalberg.

"Regain your question about what I'd do if I had to face you. My answer mister Whalberg is...I would knock the stuffing out of you with my fist.'' Said Mash.

The room was quiet for a second, but then Whalberg started to laugh, the loudest that he has ever did today.

"Ho Ho Ho. You're going to be a fun one to have around. Welcome Mash Burnedead.'' Said Whalberg.

"To what?'' Asked Mash.

"To the Bureau of quirks. Your performance today was beyond outstanding, you are the type of person that we are looking for.'' Said Whalberg.

The teen just nod it, he just knew that he was accepted into the area that the cop from his town told him to be.

"You will still on the regular course, but if things keep going into a good direction it wouldn't be for long. Get good grades, keep getting strong and if you make a name for yourself at the Sports Festival you will get a seat at the Hero Course.'' Said Whalberg.

"Can I ask something? If I have friends and they want to be with me in some kind of adventures, can they be on the hero course too?'' Asked Mash, just wanting to know.

"If they want to follow you and they get some sort of impressive growth than we can make it happen. Rember you are not going to be a pro hero, you will be a member of the Bureau.'' Said Whalberg.

"I know and I don't mind that.'' Said Mash.

"Good, I am glad that this is all settled boy. Welcome to the Bureau!'' Said Whalberg.

'Thanks.'' Said Mash with a nod.

Whalberg then went to start filling up the papers, making Mash Burnedead a member of the Bureau of Quirks and one of the contestants for the title of Visionary of the year, of course he was just enlisted and had no quirk so he was at the bottom of the list but time will tell what happens next.

Later

Back at 1-D

The news that Mash got approved by Whalberg spread around fast for the Staff of UA. The Hero Course teachers didn't have time to look or see this Mash kid, but the Regular Course staff wasn't sure about the old man decision, a quirkless kid in the Bureau of Quirks. How will he show the world a great power when…he doesn't have one? Some thought it was a joke while others thought it was a charity thing, regardless of the case it was official and whoever tried to sabotage Mash would be fired, Whalberg had security cameras around UA too and he is good friends with Nezu that could make any teacher spell the truth.

Mash was also granted to go back to 1-C, when Lucci found out that the brat got accepted into his line of work he wanted to scream into heavens. Not only that but Whalberg was now with a constant eye on him, one wrong move and he could kiss his career goodbye.

"I will have to teach that kid all year?! How long can I endure this?'' Thoguht him.

While the class was talking before the next period the door of 1-C was yanked again.

Bam

"Ugh!'' Said Lucci in shock, only to see Mash holding the door.

"I got confused on how to be opened it.'' Said Mash.

Lucci just facepalmed, this was going to be his full year for now.

"I hate this kid.'' Thought him.

So yes, Mash got accepted into the Bureau and now we are on the way to meet the Supporting cast. Of course, first will be our favorite shy boy Finn in the next chapter so we can start setting up the dynamic of the main cast.

Of course they will get some interactions with the Hero Course. It will be fun to see them in shock that someone this strong is quirkless, I have a lot to say to a certain someone and Mash will be there to pummel their faces.
